Probably the best donuts I have found here in the Boise area. They are good sized and they have an excellent selection. This is the first place that I have found that they sell some non glazed donuts which is a big plus because my wife is diabetic so she stays away from the normal kinds of donuts with colors, sprinkles and such on their donuts.
It's a solid donut shop that looks and feels like a donut shop that's also an Egyptian restaurant. The donuts are insanely good, decadent, interesting flavors. We really enjoyed them. Inshallah you'll enjoy yours too.
I have been buying donuts from this place for almost 10 years and they are just as delicious as the first time. I love sharing these with others that come to love these delicious donuts as well. Staff is always friendly, too!
This is one of my favorite donut shops. The donuts taste amazing and they're huge! The glazed sprinkled donut is enormous! They have large twists and pershings and all taste delicious. It's always a year to do here.
This rating is only for the donut store. I wanted a croissant and a chai tea. They don't sell croissants only very sugary donuts. I wish more donut stores sold croissants because sometimes I just want something without all the sugar for breakfast. The chai tea was not good. I drank it anyways because I paid for it and that's all I had to drink, but it was not good and I do not recommend. Three stars is being generous. They probably have good donuts but this review isn't about the donuts.
Love how fresh and dense their donuts are! My favorite place to get them when I can make it over to that place! My favorite is the classics sugar, glaze, maple! Customer service is 10/10
This place has been here since I was a child. Amazing, delicious, and huge doughnuts. Three different fritters flavors. Fresh daily. I cannot say enough good things about this place.
PROS -donuts taste good -donuts have plenty of filling for those that have custard or cream. -large sized donuts CONS -It appears the location either reuses old oil or not very good quality ingredients. -I never get acid reflux from food and i got bad reflux from eating donuts from here.
Love their donuts! They are NOT grocery store donuts. If you haven?t tried them yet, go there and see for yourself. What do you got to lose, you get some donuts for yourself and your family. Yum.
Best Donuts in Boise. If you want a huge ring with sprinkles, they have it. The lady's are funny and have fun at their job. Never a bad experience
Awesome donuts! Service is ok, they can get pretty busy so when that is the case, you can tell they are rushing, but when it is at a slower time of day the service is nice. Atmosphere is outdated, but if you are looking for an old fashioned donut shop, then this is it.
We've lived across the street from Country Donut for nearly 25yrs. The original owners were more generous with the glazes and frostings. The current owners have the same great selection however the donuts are starved for glaze and frostings. Everything appears to be homemade though and they're open pretty early which is nice for a box on the way to work. More frosting and glaze needed please...
This place is amazing !!! First time been here , Yes the donuts are hugh ,this isn't your normal donut shop ,
A streak of bad luck!! Second place in 2 days that the restaurant are short staffed. Came for a sandwich but the kitchen was closed. Only one person was working the counter for donuts. So, got me a couple donuts. The fritters are huge!!! Got an apple and a cherry.
The young man working the counter has the best customer service skills I have ever seen in my life. Donuts were excellent and he snuck a couple extra free ones in the box when I wasn?t looking. I will absolutely be back
another huge win for COUNTRY DONUTS! First picture: from left to right we have a plain maple bar, blueberry cream cheese bear law, vanilla chocolate chip donut and cherry fritter. these were gone in a couple hours, some of the best donuts in the 208! Second picture: Some the best donuts I?ve ever had, definitely on the top of the list of best donuts in Boise. From left to right: forgot what the first one was, maple bar, vanilla cake, apple fritter and tiger tail. Not only were these delicious but the price
Great place just off the freeway to pick up donuts. Server offered a better deal by the dozen and it ended up being a win win. I was back on the road in no time.
Let me first start by saying that I've been in this Valley for over 10 years. These are the most delicious donuts I've had way, better than Goatstar donuts way better than Krispy Kreme this place is authentic!!! Great atmosphere the place is always clean and the staff is super friendly! ???? ????
County donuts is tied for my favorite donut shop in idaho. Having been in the valley this long they must be doing something right. I'd say these are a few things they are doing very right Frosting on donuts is superb it hold strong to the donut without losing flavor or texture. The butter milk bar is extremely flavorful, moist and has a perfect texture in glaze and outer frying crust. Bear claws and fritters are giant and priced very well with good flavor. I could go on but most important is that the donuts
Wow! I haven't been here in years. Came in today to get my hubby a couple donuts. They were super busy with one young person working. They were so friendly and even gave me a free donut with purchase!
Great local donut shop. All of the donuts are amazing. They are made fresh everyday in store. It is a good place for a meeting or with friends. You can sit in, or take your donuts to go. They also have drinks. They always have a great selection of donuts and cost less than a big chain donut shop. If you are in the area definitely go here.
Great service for a little hole-in-the-wall. Ordered eight dozen the day prior and when I picked up everything was ready on the counter. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The selection as great as they put a nice variety in each dozen to satisfy all taste.
Grew up getting these donuts and after 20+ years they are still the best donut shop in Boise. I enjoy there selection of cake donuts which seems to not be as popular in most shops
The BEST donuts in the Valley. Courteous and fast service. I always spread the word to others about certain places I find that are this good. Never change. Stay small and great for us all. Thanks
The best donuts in town, hands down. The place been around forever, and they never disappoint. This place runs out of donuts quite often so early in the morning is a good time to stop by.
I had really good service by young man behind the donut counter. Donuts were still very good even in the afternoon when I got them. Looked around the store next-door I came back and grab my donuts he made sure to tell me to have a great day
I want to rate them 5 stars because they are always so friendly and helpful, not the fastest, but they do their jobs well. even though I don't stop in enough to be "known" by staff - usually once every couple of months. They have way more than donuts: Coffee/Basic Espresso, Shawarma (a Middle Eastern meat and veggie filled, yummy, pita), Baklava, & other stuff. The main reason I give them less than 5 stars - Their branding is off. They're like a donut shop and some type of deli. They may have breakfast
This has been my family?s go to Saturday morning donut spot for years. Every visit the donuts are fresh, flavorful, and soft. Every employee is always so nice and will recommend items.
Best donuts in the area. I moved to a different state for a few years...Found out donut shops like this are few and far between. Country donut has amazing donuts, amazing selection and taste!
The donuts taste good but the customer service is bad. The lady gave us a hard time because we didnt know what the donut was named and she was trying to get us to tell her what we wanted when she was at the cashier helping someone out. She was rushing us but it was just us in line. It was very poor customer service.
Best doughnuts in Idaho says me. Also great food and a market here
Best doughnuts ever and cute boys working there. What more could you want
Best donuts in town: fritters, cake, old fashioned, pershing, filled. Maple bars as long as your forearm. Employees are super friendly.
The best doughnuts around for the price! Most have no corn syrup for those sensitive to that nasty stuff.
I want to start out by saying Country Time Donuts is one of my favorite donut shops in town.. today I stopped in to grab a dozen to take into work. As the usual they were very busy, you could tell the frustration on the faces of the employees doing there best to keep up.. when it came to my turn to avoid being someone to add to there frustration while I select my assorted dozen I just ask for an assortered dozen. The gal proceeds to grab a box goes to the back fills the box and places the box on the counte
Had the apple fritter and a chai tea. Great tasting and really clean inside. Definitely coming back for more.
For someone coming from out of state, Boise is not the first place I'd expect to have one of the best doughnut experiences I've ever had. The unassuming location masks a truly incredible selection of absolutely delicious baked treats. As someone who isn't much for doughnuts, I still found myself raiding the box again and again to try the different offerings from this establishment. Having gotten a wide sampling, every offering was delicious, and I specifically call out the fritters as being so good they re
They have big apple fritters..love there donuts
These are the best donuts in Boise and the staff is always friendly and cheerful.
I've been coming here since I was a little girl and the donuts still taste amazing, every time, for over 30 years now. Love seeing this place still open!!
I was dying to go back here cause this was one of the best places to get donuts in the state when I was in highschool in the early 2000s. The store hasn't changed or been remodeled in the last 20 years, the donuts weren't as great as I remember them being, and they didn't have baclava (one of my favorite things to get from them back in the day!). Got 6 donuts and it was like over 12 bucks, which isn't a great value and the taste wasn't anything special. I think I would rather get a 79 cent WinCo donut than
Delicious food and really friendly service. Not just donuts - the chicken shawarma is amazing!
Great service and delicious ?? doughnuts!
The donuts were hard. I bought a dozen for work and was asked if I went to the day old donut store. I'm not impressed
Donuts make up for the awkward encounters we have with one staff member but frankly we just feel like she might have severe social anxiety which might contribute to her demeanor. Regardless of the single person, the rest of the staff is always friendly and personable.
This place has an excellent selection of delicious donuts and breakfast pastries. I think their cake donuts are the best in Boise. They also have amazing twists and custard filled. These are not expensive gourmet pastries; you can afford to enjoy more than one! Enjoy!
HUGE donuts. Very very good donuts. So many different choices. Lady working the counter was so kind and so fast. My son loved it.
I love Country Donuts. It's everything you want and need in a local family-run donut shop. The donuts are yummy, and the service is phenomenal. I highly recommend it. This is not a place for crazy and unique donuts but it's the best place for real donuts, like our grandparents enjoyed!
Wish I could give better, but this place has gone downhill. Sad. Staff, NOT friendly, but not mean, just robots. Where's the Boise politeness? I had a large donut order and then tried to order an espresso. Big mistake. I literally ordered the small plain espresso off their menu, but that was very difficult. They asked if I wanted an Americano. I said no, and they asked if I wanted a latte. I said no, I kept saying that I just wanted an espresso small then they started asking. Do you want 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 sh
Worst Donuts in Boise! They are super dry and taste like the frying oil has gone bad. I came here because of the reviews on their maple bar (being ?so amazing?) ? and it was absolutely HORRIBLE! ?? Spent almost $8 for only 3 donuts and threw away most of it. Don?t waste your money with this small business. Overpriced and disgusting product.
Fantastic service, very friendly staff. Absolutely disgusting donuts. The absolute worst donuts I have ever had in my life. Stale, flavorless, and poorly put together. I cannot believe that I am out $25 for a dozen donuts. Also, their kitchen is in full view and it looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time? Save your money, and your taste buds, and go somewhere else.
Best doughnuts in the valley. The lady who takes orders hates her job and seems to be super upset all the time. Gets really irritated if you don't know the name of the doughnut. Lol. Put up some signs with the names maybe? The amazing doughnuts outweigh the service though.
Incredible donuts..... horrible service. Absolutely the best donuts in town when it comes to flavor and dough. Guru and their vegan crap doesn't even come close to this place. They are a great price and taste absolutely amazing. The problem is the service. I have yet to have a friendly person serve me. They always seem super unhappy to be there and like the customers are a huge inconvenience. I was also looking for a particular donut they normally carry, they had some on the rack behind the counter,
You guys really are sad to wait until people are all the way over to your place of business, and on a Sunday you say your hours are open until 9:00 pm. I am here at your door at 730 pm and your closed, and I see 2 women loading boxes of donuts into their cars and they are hollering "closed!" If you close earlier, then post your correct hours! How do you know I didn't come a hour away! Which I did come from the other side of Nampa which is at least 20-25 minutes away! It'll be a long long time before I come
Donuts were delicious! My kiddo was stoked for the massive sprinkle birthday donut. 10 out of 10.
Recently got a dozen donuts here and everything was so delicious. Our favorite donut ended up being the glazed buttermilk bar- simply incredible. Friendly service, too. We like having locally owned donut shop near our home!
Never been here before this morning, what a lovely donut shop! Plenty of space for my kids to sit and a very large assortment of fresh donuts. The cherry fritter was awesome! The blueberry cream cheese bear claw was incredible! Not expensive and they had milk to go along with the donuts!
My family loves this donut shop. The people are very nice and the donuts are fantastic. You should not miss the super Duper long maple bar with chocolate chips. Whether you want a dozen donuts to take to coworkers or a gigantic donut for yourself, this is the place.
Yummy! Just picked this donut shop from the reviews on here and they were right. These donuts are YUMMY! It's definitely worth the drive. We bought a dozen assorted donuts and the dough and glaze are just perfect! Definitely recommend you try it, if you are a donut lover. Also, the staff seem nice in my opinion. ?
Best place in Boise for fresh donuts.
The staff is wonderful, but the doughnuts seemed to have soaked up too much of the frying agent, causing them to be greasy and heavy. I'm no baker, but I might theorize that the oil was the wrong temperature or the doughnuts were fried for too long/not long enough. I've eaten here in the past and I remembered them being much better.
Oh my goodness! They do have "normal" sized donuts. Fritters
Love these donuts. SO Fresh, much bigger. New owners I think. Girl that served me seemed to be more interested in, "Is that it?" rather than me buying more. Not exactly friendly. I would like to have looked at the large selection a little longer. Seems like this was a complaint years ago, with someone else. Weird.
Some of the best doughnuts in town. I've been going here for decades. This was my breakfast pick up place in the 80's to the 90's when I operated a cattle ranch. Now I've been taking my daughter here for the past 15 years and she is a fritter fan.
I've gone here twice now and both times it was really bad. The first time I got a donut with chocolate sauce, the bread part of the donut was decent enough but the chocolate sauce on top was so bitter and crunchy that it was inedible. I went back a second time against my better judgement and I was worried about having the same problem as the first time so I ordered a double chocolate muffin instead. It was stale when they handed it to me and the taste was absolutely terrible.
Huge delicious flavorful donuts with a large variety! Pretty good Boston cream! Decently priced. My go to donut shop for sure. Get their fritters too! They?re huge!
Berry berry good Donuts. Place is nice and clean stop was helpful and friendly. Donuts were little unique as well having some that I have never seen before. I don't get donuts often but this place is really good. A little on the high price so if you ask me paying $13 for a dozen donuts doesn't really seem like a good deal, does anybody remember when it used to be six bucks? God I'm getting old
Not sure what happened. This place used to be really good and I would recommend it as the best donuts in Boise. Went today and donuts looked sad, were dried out and were worse than you would get at a grocery store. They are charging a premium price for skimpy, dried out mediocrity.
The quality of country donuts is second to none. They are almost always sold out but their crumb donuts and they are by far the best I have ever had. From fritters the size of sewer plates and chocolate bars you could club a man with, everything here is supersized and tasty - you can't go wrong with anything under the glass.
Worst donuts ever. Staff is nice, but the donuts are 50% more expensive than anywhere else and taste like day-old grocery store donuts. Stale, dry, flavorless. Even the kids didn't want to finish theirs!
Terrible customer service, I will never be ordering here again. I went in to get some donuts for a group of people. They ended up not having something in stock, so I had to get out of line and find out what else they may want. Instead of holding the items that I had been the first to order, the person behind the counter sold them to someone else instead of making sure that I didn't want them still. This caused my whole order to be off and more people missing the donuts they wanted. How rude and inconsiderat
Donuts tasted good, and are priced well. HOWEVER, customer service was terrible! Nothing is marked! So you have to ask about prices or what type of donut it is. It felt like pulling teeth to get that information, and it didn?t come nicely!
My Mom and I went there and were treated so rudely by a man that we eventually realized he didn?t want to be friendly with my Elderly Mother who wanted a maple bar or me a slightly overweight senior citizen That we turned and walked out. I was so angry mostly for my 87 year old Mother. I wanted to confront him but Mom of course wouldn?t let me. Apparently rudeness comes with this donut shop. I?ve heard it many times. I never need a donut that bad. Shame on you for making my Mother miss her beloved maple bar
Delicious pastries, great prices, friendly staff
Quite possibly the greatest Donuts in town. Dina is one of the greatest employees I've ever met. She's so funny, and very good at her job.
I have always had excellent service at country donuts. Now they even offer flavors from the middle east. Their sandwiches are unmatched! The family that owns country donuts warms my heart and have never been anything but kind to me and my family.
Right around the corner from my house and where I grew up. Wonderful donuts!!! They also have great coffee! Love this place. Sometimes, at certain hours, there is quite a line, but it moves fast and is worth the wait for a cheat day!
Love this Donut shop! Every option imaginable. Support a local business and enjoy something sweet
I know Seattle has Voodoo Doughnuts, Boise has Country Doughnuts. This local, family-owned sweet spot has been around over 30 years. Their fritters are the perfect combination of sweet crisp outside and soft flavorful inside. Love the Egyptian Market next door too!
Great selection. Close to Fred Meyer and Albertson. Good variety of sweet and plain donuts, I love old fashioned donuts - maybe not entirely fresh - this time around - was there on new years eve - so possible they were a day old. The buttermilk glazed was excellent!
Great tasting DONUTS. BEST in Boise by far. I have seen many small bakeries come & go and they don't even rate up there with Country Donuts & Pastry Perfection. A newer Pie Shop replaced Marie Callendars, but they wanted $18 for a simple fruit pie , and a new small Bakery off of Overland, there pies had too thick of crusts, very small product varieties and kinda expensive. I do not work at any of these Businesses I mentioned, this is only my opinion. 2/14/22 DL
I just had the worst experience in here. This USED to be my favorite place to get donuts. I don't know if management changed or new owners or what but customer service was not great. Polite young man however I have never had to pay for a box to take my frosted donuts home in and had to argue that the frosting would melt on a very hot day. I was told it would be fine in a bag and that they wouldn't melt. Not acceptable.
The donuts were delicious and fresh. The cashier was a moody teenager who didn't appreciate our questions about the variety available. I will definitely return for a donut, but I don't expect great or friendly service.
The Doughnuts are okay. Maybe better than a freds/albertsons doughnut (not by a lot). Don't know her name but the last two times I've been there (I've only been twice...) the lady behind the counter acts like she is bothered that I'm asking about the Doughnuts I'm about to buy. The tone she has, the verbiage she uses, just screams I hate my job and I hate my customers. Lady needs a vacation and a new job.
Probably my favorite donut shop in town, which is saying something because I've dedicated my life to the study of this craft. I've been frequenting this shop since high school. Awesome then, awesome now. Donuts aren't just an appetizer, they're like a halo for your stomach's soul.
These folks are fantastic and make some of the best donuts in town! Grab a fritter or a donut the size of your head! Super friendly staff too!
I love country donuts! Best traditional donuts in town and they delivered on quality once again ??
Ashley is a darling. We come every Sunday morning to get our donuts and she is always with a smile and wishing us a good morning. If I could I would give her TEN STARS!!!! She rocks!!! Love her to pieces. AND Country Donuts would be lost without her. So dedicated to job and her works.
