My heart wants to gatekeep so bad. Best dough in Austin hands down. Koloches, croissant sandwiches, donuts. Always so soft and delicious.

I think this is my new favorite donut shop ? We went around 11:30am on a Saturday, and luckily there were still plenty of kolaches and donut options available. Here?s what we got... We ordered a small sausage and cheese kolache and a large sausage and jalape?o kolache, heated up, and they were perfect. They also have croissant kolaches which I?m very interested in trying in the future. I wanted to try the glazed donuts as a baseline? and it was incredible. Pillowy soft and delicious. this place has the best kolaches in the area ? I've tried plenty lol. On top of that the primary lady who works there is super nice and friendly. I only ever go to another place when they are closed, but it's never the same.

I am very picky about donuts and would have to say that thus far this place has THE best in Austin. More trendy places have crazy toppings but the donut base is terrible. Here its no frills, basic toppings but the donuts are FANTASTIC-- glazed donut was tender, chewy, and not too covered with sugar glaze. Good size too. At 99cents each, probably the best deal in town.

Combo Donuts is truly a hidden gem of South Lamar! This place has the best kolaches, and the most incredible donuts, in all of Austin. The dough they use for everything here is out of this world and makes all their products so fluffy and delicious. Melt in your mouth. Seriously. These donuts are so fluffy and delicious. I love donuts. I love donuts so much that my wife and I had donuts at our wedding instead of cake. I wish we would?ve had THESE at our wedding! We ordered regular glazed, chocolate glazed, and cream filled eclair. This is definitely my new donut spot.

Easily the best/most authentic kolaches & donuts in Austin. Houston is loaded with places like these- unfortunately coming to Austin I realized that a solid donut shop was hard to find. Combos jalape?o sausage and cheese kolaches are a refuge for a weary traveler.

I have eaten donuts all over the United States; including Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR. None of those donut shops are as good as Combo Donuts! The donuts here are so fresh, so light, so tasty, and frankly so perfect. If you are ever in Austin, you have to grab a couple donuts (or a delicious kolache) at Combo Donuts!

Margaret is the sweetest local biz owner on S Lamar. The breakfast sandwiches and pastries are undefeated. Her Kolaches are so gd good and affordable.

Their donuts tasted doughy and slightly under cooked. The small kolaches didn?t offer a good meat to bread ratio. For two small kolaches and three basic donuts my total was just under $11.00. Pretty disappointing all around.

We are from out of town with our kids. I am not a big donut person but went our first morning for the kids breakfast and then every morning we were here because they are the best donuts we have ever had. Amazing. Owner was super nice too.

If you appreciate a classic donut Combo Donuts is arguably the best in town and a top three I've had on my list. Their plain glazed donut is the best I've ever had. You might find other boutique & trendy donut shops in town that are receiving all the hype where they have $6 dollar donuts with all kinds of stuff going on with them, but Combo Donuts is a can't miss stop for the ability to do the basics the best and at the best price.

I am new to Austin, TX. My father and I were walking down the road when we saw this donut shop, so we decided to pop in. The woman that took our order was so sweet and nice, she asked us about our journey and seemed genuinely interested. To top it off, the donuts and breakfast sandwiches are delicious (and the prices are incredible)! I love seeing them bake in the back, everything tastes so light, fluffy, and fresh. I definitely recommend this place for newcomers! ??

The best donuts hands down. All the donuts and food is so fresh you can taste it. Plus, the owners are super nice and amazing people. You don?t know what your missing until you have one. I drive across town for these donuts and I will as long as I live in Austin.

Woah came here not expecting to be blown away. Immediately noticed the size and quality of glaze on the donuts. Over proofed in the best way, double the size and fluff, glaze is QUALITY, held up perfectly into the next day. Hidden gem, sweet woman that runs it. My favorite place in Austin for donuts. They are consistently delicious! These are the donuts of your childhood. Everything is great, but my favorite is the chocolate cake donut. The eclair is a close second. Service is always outstanding and it's very clean inside. They have serious Covid19 protections in place now, which I really appreciate.

The donuts are unbeatable plus, one step in and you know it?s gonna be good. The clean, bright yellow environment aligns with what you crave when wanting amazing donuts. I've been a customer for years! Great breakfast crossaint... apple fritters...kolaches...everything is made with care! Owners do it all, truly a family owned spot. When COVID hit, this couple did everything in their power to stay open and ensure customers where safe! Even tool curbside orders via phone. The donuts here are great..you can actually taste the strawberries on the strawberry ?? covered donuts! They don't have a drive through but it is worth it to go inside. The lady was very kind and friendly. She was also very honest...

Wow this was delicious! We got the blueberry donut, old fashioned with vanilla frosting and sprinkles, bearclaw, apple fritter and Bavarian cream donut - every single one was divine. Even the boudin kolache and sausage cheese croissant were great. There were still a lot of selection when we arrived an hour before closing!

Super friendly staff. The kolache and croissant bread was light and very fresh. The eclair and apple fritter were delicious. The kolaches are sausage (hot dog) with optional cheese and jalapeno, so not much variety. Still worth checking out for a change from breakfast tacos. ;)

I love the donuts here. They are extremely soft and fresh. The croissant sandwich was also really great. I do not prefer the sausage kolaches because it was too salty. But overall a great experience.

Listen, get ready for endless kindness and sweetness coupled with the most delicious apple fritter you've ever had. I mean it, this apple fritter puts all others in existence to shame. Sadly good for many people only, there is a $5.00 minum order for single items from $.79 doughnuts to $1.49 kolaches??. 01/05/21 update, I bought a lot of doughnuts and had two of them the apple fritter and strawberry glaze. The apple fritter was better than most because it was crispy but had small and very few apples, which where flavorful. The strawberry glaze had no strawberry flavor and strawberries and cream look of the glaze was not delicious despite its appearance.

We go to Combo Donut ever Sunday and Miss Margaret and her husband are so sweet and truly make the best donuts we have ever had. The kalaches and breakfast sandwiches are also second to none! This is an Austin MUST!

I can't say anything about the donuts as they were out when I went. I only had a credit card with me and they require a $5 minimum purchase so I asked if I could try one of the donut holes (there were LOTS). The woman behind the counter said, "No, we sell those." So I left. I'll never go back. Extremely poor customer service.

Not sure when they were supposed to be back from vacation but it?s July 17th and they still seem to be closed. Maybe they went out of business? Rating 5 stars because I tried them only once and their pigs-in-a-blanket were amazing!

The donuts are delicious, but make sure you ask them to warm it up if you are going to eat there. Really what I like about this place is it is right next to Starbucks so I can get my coffee and my daughter can have her treat!
