I absolutely love this bakery! The pastries are fresh and delicious, and the coffee is smooth and flavorful. The staff is incredibly friendly, making it feel so warm and welcoming. It has such a cozy, homey vibe that makes you want to come back. Plus, the prices are very affordable, which is a huge bonus. Highly recommend!
This place is adorable and so inexpensive with great donuts and coffee! When I asked for cream for coffee, they pulled a metal cream pitcher out of the fridge and set it on the counter and I got to pour it myself to the perfect amount. I highly recommend the Apple fritters!!! Just a sweet experience all around and I think I spent $3.95
Yummy! Man this place is actually a gem. Coffee: delicious, clean tasting flavor Way better than those other places #3 Bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich: perfectly cooked Egg not burnt Bagel toasted but not overly toasted You got to try this place for sure

I have been in the bakery twice on this trip. The pastries are amazing, and the price is extremely reasonable for the area. I also had a double cheese burger, I have no regrets on either visit. Customer service was solid, quality of food on target, and I would have expected to pay more overall, outstanding value.
Prepare yourself for a long detailed review because my past experiences were that delightful, and I just returned from my 5th time going there in the 3 years I?ve lived here and each time I had the same incredible experience. It?s a very minimal and simple space but it?s clean and peaceful. The staff are also the owners, and each time they were so sweet that they melted my heart. I can?t explain it other than it feels like grandmas house with their hospitality and warmth. Their food is homemade and cheaper
Donuts are delicious and huge. The coffee ? is awesome. Prices are very reasonable. A bottle of water is $1. Family own business and they have been there for over 50 years. They also offer sandwich croissants, burgers, breakfast and more. Open 5:00am to 5:00pm. Atmosphere can use some work.

The woman who helped our group was so amazing and kind!! Customer service was a 20/10 and the donuts taste great. Such a hidden gem and a short walk from the nearby offices if you want an excuse to get outside for a bit. Could not recommend more!!!!
Downtown is lucky to have this place. Its a mom and pop donut store that cares about its community. I feel honored to see the two nice smiling ladies that work the front. They don't call the police when mentally ill unhoused people make a scene, they try to help them. They had to shut down during pandemic, then a car smashed into the front door months later!! They still came back and got their business up and running. They make a great croissant breakfast sandwich(#10). Its a good place for a reasonab
These donuts and sandwiches are very well made. With friendly staff, your trip here is always a great time ! I recommend anyone come down and try anything on the menu. My favorite are the bobas but when I have free room with macros I?ll take a an egg and bacon sandwich. Being open early is also very convenient before heading to work. Should I say more ?!
THE LADY IS VERY KIND BUT THE BREAD IS HORRIBLE I BUY AN APPLE FILTER AND IT LOOKS LIKE OIL SPONGE IT'S DISGUSTING.

i walked in the cashier lady was very polite. i gotta bacon egg & cheese croissant 10/10. i wish they had avocado to go on the sandwich but overall it was a very good sandwich.
I actually live about 3 blocks away from Colonial Bakery. I've been going there for years. Nothing has changed great donuts, breakfast sandwiches and plates, burgers, coffee and drinks. Look, it's not a fancy place. It's a hole in the wall, clean with very nice service. They have a lot of regulars hang out daily... it's a local hang out that I'm happy its been there for years. I recommend it... very inexpensive compared to other coffee houses.

Donuts are awesome. We are eggetarians and go there every weekend for their egg croissant sandwich and mashed potatoes. It's like we wait for the weekend to come to go there :) Jennie always has a nice smile in her face and is our big friend now. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Donuts are great, for about the price you'd expect. Their breakfast sandwiches are also great, and pretty cheap, though... amazingly unhealthy. I can just -feel- the oil dripping out every time I pick one up. Probably why they taste so good. Fun fact: they filmed one scene in Dexter here! :D

Food is cooked fresh not in a microwave wave . Eggs are real . You have the option of ordering a real and hearty breakfast bacon eggs potato etc Donuts are large in size . While pricy the food is quality ..couple very nice and hard working you may also call in your order a great way to start your day !

Not only that, when I walk in you immediately feel like you've stepped into a Cheers bar, it feels like home. Regulars here do not miss a day of there routinely coffee, they as well make it feel homey . Jennifer and her parents are always smiling and inviting, this is the authentic Long Beach!

I caught wind of this place from a War Veteran his Name was Jim ( Rip) He told me they had the best crumb & glaze donuts in town and he wasn?t lying lol And I just adore the lil Asian lady who works the counter she always compliments my jewelry she is very sweet and kind.

The hot cocoa is WATER. It was horrible but the food was delicious. Id definitely go here again. Just stay AWAY from the hot cocoa its a waste of money.

Beware of this place they spray Black Flag in the food tray areas before they put the donuts for display bug spray on Windows flies always buzzing around coffee tastes like water oh and don't forget to give them correct change cuz they will rip you off you owe me Mike donkey butt????!!!
