I?ve been to this location a few times now and there?s a lot to like BUT... The coffee is great, donuts are fine (don?t really live up to the Portland level hype), but the seating feels a little like hostile architecture. On the wood benches there?s a lip at the top that digs into your back. I can?t take it for more than 10min and I leave in pain. I rarely write negative comments but the pain in my back compels me to share this to warn other coffee+donut shop nomads. They have WiFi but no bathroom (at least
Neighborhood favorite with sweet service and sweet treats.) This Coco Donuts location is my neighborhood spot, just a leisurely 15-minute walk from home. My son and I have been here dozens of times over the past year, especially more recently since we intentionally weaned off Starbucks, and honestly, no regrets. Service is always friendly, which adds to the charm. My go-to is their sugar-coated classic donut: simple, nostalgic, and hard to beat. That said, they tend to sell out of the classics quickly, so
I can't get enough of this donut shop! The freshly made donuts are in such high demand that they tend to sell out quickly. What makes this place even more special is the outstanding coffee they serve. It's the perfect complement to the mouthwatering donuts. For a delightful treat and a flavorful cup of coffee, this spot is an absolute go-to. Just remember to arrive early to secure your donut fix!
First time here and love it! The price is right, the donuts & coffee were awesome. The employee's nice and friendly. Just what you need to start the day :)
The doughnuts were more cakey and less heavily fried / greasy than your traditional doughnut which was a welcome change! I don?t know what that dense little glazed bar we got was but it was extremely delicious. Fascinating flavors like lavender, strawberry crumble, etc. I would most certainly return!
No customer service from the staff, very rude interaction. No signs for the donuts explaining flavor or price. Staff did not speak unless spoken to and had issues trying to even get the correct order. Donuts were average, nothing special.
Good donut. Better than most neighborhood donut shops but not great and for the Price is they are charging it should be GOD tier. Almost $30 for the most basic dozen then if you want a mochi or anything special it jumps up from there it?s a $10 product for a $30 STARTING cost
I'm from out of town and stopped in and the atmosphere was amazing. The barista was amazing helping me pick a coffee cuz I was indecisive. Love the atmosphere. Love how it feels in there. Very cozy and very clean. 10 out of 10 recommend . Even scored me a coffee cup ??
Decent donuts although over half of the selection was sold out when they had many hours left in their day. Decent service, worst coffee I've ever had. Not sure what they were serving, all I could taste was chemicals. Staff didn't seem to care as they watched me toss my full drink in the garbage. Could not drink that. Signed up for the rewards program. Got 4 text messages in 2 minutes. Replied with STOP ASAP.
Great spot to grab some donuts, pastries and coffee/tea. I had some time to kill, so I stopped by for a chai and some sweets. I grabbed a chocolate croissant and a lavender mochi donut. Both were delicious! The employees were also really nice and gave great customer service. I wll be back to try more!
03/18/20: 4.5 out 5 - Stopped by to check out the newest Coco Donuts location that will be opening soon in Happy Valley/Clackamas. I am familiar with many of the other Coco Donut locations, which are more closer to Portland, and is excited to see one come to this side. I came by today partake in Coco Donuts free giveaway to share with my clients in the area to spread the good news. This location looks great, and the doughnuts have always been VERY GOOD. The doughnuts, or 'donuts' what have you, are han
Decided to stop by here before heading to work. Found this place on Google while in the area. Staff was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. Environment was clean and organized. I ended up getting the iced ube latte, matcha latte, lavender donut, glazed donut, and mochi donuts. Forgot to mention the staff also gave us a ube and mung bean ball to try! All were really delicious. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to try!
They are really nice but not much left at 12:30pm. At 2pm everything left will be 50% off. Closed at 3pm
Most of the times the donuts are good , sometimes you can totally taste the frying oil. Only once we got a cinnamon roll very undercooked (raw in the middle ) , whilst the rest of the times they were very good. The hot chocolate is very tasty , but too sweet. Mochi donuts are amazing, my favorite, the white glaze with the Oreo would be perfect if it was less thick or less sugary because overall it's too sweet but I still really appreciate that they make their own glazing. Please, make more chocolate mochi d
Phoebe and Erin are as sweet as the donuts. Their bubbly , high spirits attitude can make anyone's day better. I got two barbarian cream donuts. They were perfect. Super fresh and melted in my mouth.
The best mochi donut I have ever tried! I love the chewiness and my favorite flavor is strawberry. I always come here when I'm in town now. Other mochi spots aren't as chewy as this place. The placeI is clean and new. They are a bit unorganized as they didn't fulfil my Call ahead order and also saw another customer have the same issue. Luckily they had plenty left as they usually sell out.
I love their donuts. Mochi donuts are spot on. My only gripe is that all their donuts sell out really quick and then they close.
This place is just oozing bougie. All of their money clearly went into branding because I saw little quality elsewhere. I walked in and immediately felt unwelcome as the gal who served me had zero customer service and was just wanting the interaction to be over asap. $14 for a half-dozen of well-made but mediocre doughnuts is bonkers. $5 for a tiny cup of extremely bitter coffee with flavorless cold foam, too. $19, and I had to be the one to say, "Have a great day," to no response? Go to any Mexican bakery
I'm partial to my review because I love their regular donuts, but not so much with their deluxe. It was so good I forgot to take pictures.
Thank you for making being a morning person that much nicer. I got a half dozen donuts to share with other tired parents and also tried their mochi donut rings and ube latte. All so so good!! The gal working this morning was great and had wonderful recommendations. Will be back the next time this tired mama needs another early morning pick-me-up.
I see what all the fuss is about. Coco is officially one of my favorite donut shops in Portland. On one hand, they don't serve decaf, BUT, who cares cause their chai tea late is DELISH.
Dirty door coming in, no greeting and misleading menu. Says Dozen donuts $14 but smaller print says Regular dozen half WTH. Donuts dry poor quality and taste, never again.
The staff are friendly here and the donuts are great! Will definitely be coming back!
Staff is super nice. Location is super clean and the donuts are top tier.
Friendly and upbeat service from the two young women working the counter this morning. The maple bar and lavender vanilla cake donut were both fresh and fantastic. The chai tea latte was more sweet than spicy, but still very good. Highly recommended!
I visited for the first time this morning and had a wonderful experience! The young women who rung me up was so nice, patient and helpful! The donuts are amazing, so soft and not too sweet! I will definitely be back!
The donuts are fantastic! Unfortunately their customer service is really pretty terrible, regardless of how you try to order or what time of day you try - online, or in-person. They very frequently don?t have stock and cancel orders out of the blue (even if you pre-order beforehand). The staff at the counter is friendly enough but are often distracted. We love the donuts when we can actually get our hands what we go in for, but may be looking to another, hassle-free option soon.
I got there as soon as they opened the other day to suprise my co workers with some quality donuts. Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing. The cashier was super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend
We were really excited to try their mochi donuts after a friend recommended them. The mochi donuts did not disappoint. I've never been a fan of maple donuts, but theirs was AMAZING! I felt like their normal donuts were just OK. Definitely a little spendy for donuts, but I feel like once in a while it's worth it for their mochi donuts. You can't find those just anywhere. Still wish this was TCBY though ??
Used to come here fairly often when they first opened, but now almost every time I go there, they are sold out of the buttermilk donuts that I like (and many other types too)? Even fairly early in the morning. Shame. It's not worth the hassle or frustration to even try anymore. The donuts are good when you can get one though.
The two times I have been in have been the best experiences. The donuts are amazing, but the coffee and drinks really seal the deal for my husband and I. The staff is fantastic and the atmosphere is comforting and cute. I cannot wait for Covid to end to be able to spend our Saturday/Sunday mornings there. Thank you so much! It truly shows how much the staff care in how they interact with customers. Also, I have never seen someone make matcha lattes so perfectly anywhere yet.
A customer where I work recommended Coco Donuts to us. My son is very picky about his maple bars. He is now obsessed with Coco Donuts. They have the best donuts we have had in a Long time. The staff is great and we really enjoy every visit there.
Heard about the new mochi donuts, had to try it out. The donuts is different then your typical donuts. You got the regular donuts dough-e and then you got the soft and fluffy donuts like Crispy Cremes. Now you got the mochi donuts soft chewy, and slightly crispy from the outside. This donuts doesn't last long. The first time I went it was sold out by noon or so. So if anyone who would like to try it out, get there early.
Was a cute little shop, staff was friendly, quick taking and filling my order. Liked that there was your basic choices and a few ones I?ve never had. Donuts were tasty, fresh and a good size. Chai latte was great.
Very good dough, nice crunch but lighter and fluffier than most all other donuts out there. My first experience going to the Clackamas location there wasn't even anything to buy left in the store, but a van was parked outside that was delivering fresh donuts, though there were only limited options what they did have was still top notch.
It is okay. they are good do not mistake but for its price point it almost makes me say it?s not that worth it. I am a daily doughnut person. Would I want this daily maybe? do I want to spend the money for these daily if yes, no. Staff is relatively friendly maybe it?s just me but I have gotten the feeling I was being rushed. Verdict: medium affluent good donuts
Going here for my first time with my friend who said I need to try the Mochi donuts. When I went around 2:30p and was very disappointed. I was expecting donuts galore when walking in, like cases upon cases, but in actuality, they literally had just about 2 dozen total donuts, with 18 of them buttermilk bars, no mochi, only buttermilk and cake donuts filling a small area where donuts are displayed. The friendly lady said "they're gone usually by 8 am so you need to get here before then" however, they are ope
Donuts are sooooo yummy even near closing time!! Cashier is lively and kind too!
Went in for the first time right as they opened. Was a little surprised by the variety of donuts. Not alot to choose from. I always heard through Nextdoor that the service was great. However my experience was not good. I pointed at a donut that I wanted and was rudley told by the guy not to touch the window. I was perplexed by his response as I only pointed and did not touch the glass. I told him that I only pointed and did not touch the glass and all I got back in response was a glare. Not good service an
Delicious donuts, the buttermilk maple bars are AMAZING and apple fritters are the best we've ever tasted. Their staff is super friendly as well, definitely make sure to check this place out.
Pleasant service. However, while I had my dozen pre-packaged, all the walk up donuts are on open trays open to the customers. I watched two women not practicing distancing and without masks come in and walk up within 6 to 12 inches of the donuts pointing and ordering nearly directly over top of them. Thoroughly disgusting and unbelievable. You guys need to cover these donuts or at least place tape and signs to stand behind. bebehindwhilordering
The doughnuts are good if you can get one. What kind of doughnut place sells out before 9am and just... stays open with almost nothing to sell? At least it's close by to other, better, options! I grabbed a cup of coffee while I was there and it was awful, wouldn't bother going back for that.
I like the donuts here in the coffee. However, I think the donuts are a little too expensive.
Their mochi donuts are chewy and delicious. Their raised donuts are standard light fluffy and delicious as well. My husband loves their iced coffees too. A little spendy but it's Portland.
I was surprised that they did not have decaffeinated coffee ...
Donuts are nice and soft. Folks that work there are super nice. However, they only had one person working there on a busy Saturday morning for part of the time I was there. A second person came but they were still swamped and it was very slow.
Friendly and helpful service and fresh, tasty donuts. It was definitely one of the top maple bars I've ever had. The coffee was very good too. So glad I found this place.
Hardly ever have any donuts. Customer service is hit or miss. Mochi donuts are good but the rest of their donuts are pretty bad. Very expensive. Worth trying but won't go back.
Coco Donuts brought some boxes to our workplace. The donuts were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend them. The perfect comforting treat in an otherwise upside down world.
I'm currently eating a sampling of their mochi donuts and they are on a whole other level. I'd come back here just for these. Amazingly friendly staff, great selection, and the coffee is good too
Super cute donut coffee shop. Delicious donuts.
A great local donuts and coffee shop following all the precautions to keep their customers and their staff safe/comfortable. Don't sleep on their in-house roasted coffees! Some of the best in the city?
Doughnuts are super fluffy, not oily. Yummy! Went late morning so selection was low. Lol footrests to trying more options.
Opened early (6am). Convenient to Kaiser Eye Care and MRI. Enjoyed my coffee and unglazed buttermilk donut.
Great place for donut very clean and bright the owner is awesome!
My daughter really wanted a doughnut. Went there this morning, sign on door said sold out of doughnuts. Not sure how that happens at a doughnut shop. Had to go elsewhere. What a bummer.
Beautiful donuts! All of them are excellent, though the mochi are particularly worth going for if you can stick to one donut. ??
Very good donuts and coffee I think the donuts are better than Joe's but there's a lot of good donut shops around, just don't go to voodoo donuts they are garbage donuts
Everytime I come in. I feel welcomed and workers are friendly and coffee good and donuts ?? fresh.
First, terrible customer service, he acted as his he could careless about us and to just get out of his cafe. Also very expensive for not a great quality and they do not put whip on your coffee at all, yeah even if you ask for it.
I must say, their Mochi Donuts were fantastic! The texture was soft and chewy and I love it ??
Dry old donuts. Overpriced. Not going back.
I don't have to tell you the donuts are good here; if you've been to any Coco, you know that. It's the people who work here that make this a regular delight for me.
Great donuts - I am a consistent customer BUT there was a beard hair from the guy that served me in my recent chocolate box
Donuts taste good, acceptable prices, cannot complain. Do wish the shop was open past 4pm.
Great upscale little donut shop! Very friendly welcoming staff fantastic donuts and even better coffee
Delicious donuts and good cappuccino??
I hadn?t had a donut in awhile, but I had the best ones today !
Had my first taste of Coco donuts today. Amazing! I am so impressed.
Donuts are okay but the coffee is solid. Also, the people seem great.
Some ilof the best donuts in Portland metro!
Such friendly staff and great doughnuts! Would come back again if I'm in the area again.
The yummiest donuts I've had since I've moved to oregon
Eh. If you're in a jam , it's alright. Service was exceptional however.
Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming and kind.
$8 for 2 small donuts and a coffee? And these are NOT special donuts people. REGULAR donuts. That?s offensive to me.
Good music, good donuts, and good drinks. Coming back very soon.
I've been there 3 mornings over the course of 6 months they are never open.
Very tasty , but high priced . Yet I m sure We will be back
ok doughnuts limited selection good coffee offerings
Best donuts around, hands down.
Great buttermilk bars, coffee and service!
I like their ube mochi but the price for it?
Great maple bars, great coffee
Place was closed on a day it said open...ill never come back here
Delicious but a lil pricey $$$
