There donuts are amazing and good quality. But the real star of the show was the iced almond milk latte I got - double shot. It?s so yummy without any sweetener, the only place I?ve had good lattes without flavoring. Go right now!
Chocolate glazed donut- Just a solid donut. No frills. The chocolate is pretty standard. Really good but not quite great. Glazed old fashioned- Nice exterior with a moist interior. Citrus finish. I thought lemon, wife said lime. Best thing we got. Donut holes- pretty standard. Really good but not earth shatteringly good. Almost leaves a waxy like feeling in my mouth.
Really enjoyed this cute, spacious donut shop. The caramel latte and dark roast coffees we had were delicious. As were the maple long john and the glazed old fashioned. They have some unique flavors as well that we hope to try another time! The employees were superb! Efficient, knowledgeable and very kind!! We highly recommend!!
one of my favorite doughnuts places in town, unfortunately I got doughnut with a hair inside for my visit over the weekend. I thought it?s my hair at the beginning but then realized that the hair is kneaded into the dough so it?s not mine. Hopefully this won?t happen to others.
As always amazing. Best doughnuts in Portland. Wish they had a SW location.
Good donuts but only had a few trays so not a large selection at all perhaps it was the time of day I got there which was about 11:30 AM to 12. But the donuts I did have seemed very fresh and the mocha was perfect. The guy working was very kind and provided Service with a smile. They allowed me to sit with my two little dogs out front which is always very nice so we enjoyed the sun and I enjoyed my coffee and one of the donuts It was very nice
It's Coco Donuts, but it's closer in Southeast Portland! Handcrafted doughnuts and coffee from Coco Donuts and Coffee on any day is a great way to begin your day or really any part of your day. So if you're looking for a place for great doughnuts and good coffee in a cozy location, this is a great place. Definitely try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
I heard such good things about these donuts only to find they were like any other. Plain donuts with icing. Nothing was different than any other regular donut shop and the service was lacking. It was my first time in and I stated so with excitement. Upon asking how many would fill a small box the guy gruffly stated "it depends on the size of the donuts". I said ok and said how much are they.. again he replied gruffly " they are priced by the donut individually." I noticed donut holes ( a personal favorite)
Yas! I'm so excited I finally got to try out a mochi doughnut. I always pass by this place on the way to work and finally had time to step in. I got a matcha mochi doughnut which was so interesting! Very sweet and chewy. 10/10. I also got a 16 oz vanilla latte which was perfect. 11/10. Picked up a maple bar for a coworker as well. Can't wait to come back!!
We had two cappuccinos and and apple cinnamon donut. The donut was delicious though the coffee was a little weak. We enjoyed the complimentary donut hole served with each coffee! A tastefully decorated and clean place with a pleasant staff.
Get the apple fritter! It is one of the best apple fritters I have ever had. So why 4 stars? The lavender donut was the one I was most excited about and it was a disappointment - just tasted like vanilla. I had to try really hard to taste it at all.
NOT GLUTEN FREE: I was told yesterday about MOCHI DONUTS in my neighborhood & I was so excited! When I went this morning to get as many as I could, I (thankfully) mentioned that I am gluten free. I was informed that the mochi donuts are NOT GLUTEN FREE, so don?t waste your time, if you are. The workers were very nice, though.
Really yummy donuts. Soft and sweet, but not too sugary. Friendly service. Tables were crumb magnets
I ordered 4 doughnuts it came to 10.60$ . I put three dollars cash into the jar. I must have left the tip window open it was early and I was tired. The woman then tipped herself another 20 percent.
It?s a real treat to come here with the kids. Coffee and donuts are the best here!!! 2 thumbs up, 10 out of 10, 3 smiling faces here with donut crumbs all over them :)
The donuts were great. I got an old fashioned donut with maple glaze that was yummy. The coffee was also an absolute treat. A latte with hazelnut. Will come back again. A good stop along the way for a walk too!
Absolutely love this place staff is always friendly and everything always taste fresh and amazing
A donut hole with any espresso drinks. Donuts are good, not spectacular. Hot chocolate is delicious!
Fantastic donuts and great coffee. I ordered ahead to get two dozen one morning. They were ready when I walked in at 6:30.
Pretty tasty donuts. The mochi donut looks pretty but was bland and chewy. Go for the Apple fritter instead!
I live right above them and they are really good specially their coffee. My daughter always wants a donut when we go in there. She loves them
I delivered an instacart order to this location and had always been itching to try their donuts. I was completely blown away by the quality of their bake. I got a maple bar and a raspberry filled, both of which melted in my mouth and were so fresh and soft. The cashiers were quite nice as well and seemed genuinely grateful for trying out their pastries. Would come back here again for sure for more delicious donuts :p
I really like their coffee, and the staff is mostly quite friendly, and if you happen to be in a hurry you can usually get in and out in short order. They offer an assortment of donuts which are good as donuts go, but nothing to write home about as they say. There's a big common table, and some smaller tables, as well as a couch and some easy chairs, so no lack of seating options. Parking can be a minor issue at times, but it just means that you may have to walk a few feet, not a big deal.
Good donuts. They were out of jelly filled at 10:30am, but I got a crumb-topped donut that was pretty good. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the woman behind the counter seemed annoyed when I asked about the different types of donuts since there are no description placards. I saw this same complaint in another review, it doesn't seem like it'd be too much effort to just write the names of the donuts on a piece of paper.
Nice and friendly staff. Only saw street parking for this location. The donuts did not feel heavy like regular donuts. The downside of them not feeling heavy is that I can easily eat half a dozen.
I placed an online order through a 3rd party delivery app. But this review is not for the delivery app it is for the coffee and donuts that I enjoyed. The raised donuts are so good, and I had always wanted to try a mochi donut so I got one of those as well. LET ME TELL YOU I have a new favorite type of donut and it is mochi donuts, who knew anything could be so heavenly chewy but still melt in my mouth. The coffee was also good, I love when someone can make a lavender latte without making it taste like per
Despite what other people may have reviewed on here let's remember what we're purchasing - a donut - and Coco makes ones that are delicious! I mean when something is going to be fried in oil you run the risk of it being greasy right? Either way though I've never had anything but fluffy, airy and all around delicious. Their espresso isn't too bad either and you even get a little donut hole (for free) with any espresso purchase =)
Delicious donuts with decent drip coffee! Super friendly staff. Buttermilk and mochi donuts were AMAZING I have to say, though: the lavender donut was just a classic, raised donut (nice 'n' yeasty and fluffy) with purple glaze & tbh didn't taste much like lavender at all but delicious nonetheless.
Perfect donuts. Light and fluffy perfect evenly distributed glaze. I love just a classic glazed donut but had their apple fritter recently and it was heavenly. The coffee goes perfectly with the donuts. Great shop to hang out/work in, decent WiFi, not too loud so it's easy to focus.
How can you be COMPLETELY out of donuts at 1:30 on a Saturday? The case was completely empty. Gal just said ?we?re out of donuts, I can still make drinks though? Apparently it?s just a coffee shop after 1pm? She was very sweet, the place is tidy and cute but don?t fight parking without calling first maybe?
Wonderful minimal cafe with all the classic doughnuts with a few fun additions. The unsung hero of Coco's is their house roasted coffee! Easily a competitor of many small roasters in town, you can expect an awesome espresso with your treat.
Acceptable donuts that are comparable to basically any other don't shop in the city, and coffee that is on the same level. The quality does not justify the price. Don't bother coming here after 9am on a weekday. You will be disappointed. Also, a message to the management of this location: If you don't want people bringing dogs in, tell your employees to stop saying that it is ok. On two separate occasions I have heard Coco employees tell dog owners who had already tied their dogs up outside that it was f
Donuts were really good but I felt rushed while we were ordering even though there was no one else in line. None of the donuts were labelled, so picking which ones I wanted was a pain. Skip the coffee- I've never had a more burnt cup of coffee in my life.
I live in the Brooklyn neighborhood- I went in for a glazed donut. The true test. My daughter picked double chocolate w rainbow sprinkles. I got about 40ft from the door, and bit into my donut. I wish my mouth was bigger. Turned around, went back, and got 6 more. It's right next to the wildlife refuge between Sellwood & Brooklyn. Go. Haven't tried the coffee yet.
Stopped on Saturday and purchased 3 Bavarian cream donuts. $9.35. Unfortunately said was day olds. Could of got a better donut at 7/11 at half the cost.
This is a true home made individual Portland donut shop. None better, not even Voodoo can challenge this small place with taste, texture and price. I wish I could eat more than one without the price of sugar addiction, calories and weight gain. Ahhh, to be young and carefree again and not worry about waistline or mood swings. I would each a dozen.
nice little shop with good donuts, and friendly staff. not a huge selection, as they don't bake on site, instead they get deliveries, but they have very good donuts without resorting to colorful gimmicks like other local places. would definitely recommend.
Great Coffee and even better donuts!
Apple fritters are great. I keep coming back for them. Chocolate cake donuts, mochi, maple bar, old fashioned, and the twists are all very very good
Live down the street went to get my husband a birthday donut and the hours say 6am to 5pm. And I walk down there bot open and I'm not the only one I seen 3 other people tried too. Other then that I love the donuts!!
I would give a 1/2 a star if I could. I dont know how this place doesn't fold up and go away. What a waste of space. Wednesday morning at 10 am. They got like 8 donuts. This is the 2nd or 3rd try with this place. It's always empty and they got not product. ???? unbelievable. These ???? dont bother to make more. They just offer up old donuts nobody wants. I can't stand that I keep trying with them. No mas!
Forget Voodoo. These are the best donuts in Portland. Perfectly soft and a good variety to choose from. A little more expensive than some donut shops but I say it's worth the price.
The location is kind of weird, coming here definitely feels a little bit out of the way, especially that it is on the peak of a steep slope. I'm not a big donut fan and in my opinion their donuts are just ordinary. On the other hand, service is very friendly.
very good local donut/coffee shop. they tend to run out of donuts and coffee too often, but will make coffee immediately. Of course it's a small shop and fairly new. the donuts are the best and coffee is outstanding
These are my favorite donuts in the city. Their buttermilk bar is SO GOOD. Really, you can't go wrong with any of the choices. The only bummer is they always seem to run out early. So go early and have your donut mind BLOWN.
I love Coco donuts. Was so happy I found this place, and people say the donuts are expensive but that?s not true. There was one time they were out of maple bars but they fixed it the following weekend. Love Coco?s!
Easy parking good selection but better I am guessing if you go early. Donuts we're fresh and soft. Service was exceptional. My new donut place!
Horrible greasy donuts. I don't know if I a came on a bad day, baker hung over or??? The Maple donut did not taste like Maple and all of the donuts had a very heavy greasy taste. 3 Boxes of donuts and I didn't find anyone who liked them.
My Favorite Treat...the glazed buttermilk, or lavender cake doughnut are just the best around! A special shout out for extra doughnuts on my birthday, you guys made me feel so special!
I came here for the first time today and had the seasonal gingerbread latte and sugar mochi donut. The staff were so sweet and that donut changed my life. I might have to go back for another!
Good donut shop but not great. Limited types and I found them to be greasy. Much cheaper but also lesser quality than the overpriced blue star. I still prefer Sesame.
The donuts are good! But the coffee is GREAT! I'll never be able to kick my espresso habit with this place around.
It's a darling little place on a funny little corner the donuts a good sometimes they have a special near the end of the day that you get a dozen for $8 of whatever's left and usually there's some really good things but we just enjoy stop and in and grabbing a few and doing whatever we need to do nice gals I've only met a couple of the gals that work in there really pleasant very helpful very fun so go in and stop by there is comfort couching and places to set in they roast their own beans for coffee so the
Something is ary at Coco Donuts. Staff letting people know they have changed the recipe a different kind of oil. The taste is different. Not for the better. An aftertaste from nowhere that sticks with you. I still cheer for the local olace to figure it out. Hopefully not on the downslope after a meteor rise.
Wanted to try them, but it was 7:15 AM Sunday and they hadn't received thier delivery of donuts and I had to park 2 blocks away. Sorry but this is a very bad first impression. I was dismayed that they don't even make the donuts in shop. Might try them if someone else paid for it. Grrr... no way to run a business.
Too expensive, but fresh & good. If they were cheaper, I'd give 4 stars. There was nothing special about these donuts. For a better selection, try Heavenly or Big Ben's.
Great donuts. Staff will give you a free donut too if you get there near the end of their business hours if you just buy even one other donut.
The coffee is good, the donuts are incredible, and the service is amazing! I like to take myself on little dates here when I have a bad week because I always leave in the best mood.
Great little donut shop with really delicious interesting flavor combos, classic favorites, and awesome coffee. Staff always friendly and happy to see you.
Super happy this spot opened! Fantastic donuts! Get there before 3pm and there is usually a good selection left. The coffee is tasty too.
Not impressed at all. Prices were ok, selection was extremely poor. I guess earlier in the day they had more but it didnt look like it would of been much more. If youre just looking for a quick donut i guess it would. Id go to a 7 Eleven vs going here though. Cheaper and quality is the same.
Love this place! I usually see Liz or Bryce and theyre the best! They make a fantastic chai or thai tea :) I wish there were a few more vegan options. Thanks for being awesome!
Came here on my way to work and was delighted to meet such great employees as well as great donuts. Can?t go wrong with sweet buttery goodness.
Donuts were OK but not particularly special, selection was small, service polite but a bit cold not welcoming. Not a bad choice but would not be my first.
Excellent donuts. We arrived kinda late so not too many available but the ones that were, awesome!
Service is great but not a fan of the donuts
Another great experience at Coco Donuts!!!! The staff is always super nice, special shout out to Bryce for always being awesome! Now time to eat the donuts!!!
They had a great variety of doughnuts my order was ready for pickup customer service was pretty good the donuts tasted fresh
Donuts are just fine, but service and atmosphere are good. Music was oddly loud for 8:00 on a Saturday morning...
Well done Coco Donuts and Brandon.! You?re doing a great job during this difficult time. Thanks for great coffee, donuts, and service. We?ll be back.
Excellent donuts. A great variety in PDX, different from the other popular places as these are like classic bakery donuts- done perfectly.
They're ok. Quality donuts, flavor is fine, worth trying but nothing special, a bit pricey.
Tastey nitro brews strong wake you right up very good service. Thank you ladys made good first impression. Welcome to clackamas
You go for the donuts (they're as light as air) but you can just as easily seduced by their coffee. It stands up to whatever rain or wind an NW day can throw at you.
Best donuts in the city in my opinion and always friendly service! Try the lavender raised or the buttermilk bars.
Good coffee and donuts. Atmosphere seemed a little bland or maybe they just got up and running. Also wasnt a big selection of donuts..
I got black out drunk and a bit stoned before I wandered in to this quaint pastry shop. I donut remember what I ordered, but the sticky fingers I awoke with smelled delicious.
Amazing donuts! Super friendly staff. Everything i dream of in a quality donuts is located at COCO. ????? Millwaukie ave. Coco donuts ?????
Visited today, and super kind staff, wonderful drinks, and great A/C on a hot day :)
This place is great. Delicious coffee and donuts. Always great service and friendly staff. Thanks...
It is still good. I just was expecting the past but they reduced some of their donut options to more streamlined options & I am much more into weird
Shelby provided outstanding service and answered all questions efficiently, this was my first time here and it will not be my last
They barely have any donuts in the morning anymore and I'm not going to pay top dollar to take whatever they have I want the ones that I like shouldn't have to compromise
I love Coco's Mochi doughnuts with coffee. Staff are so nice and so friendly.
Donuts are great! Unpretentious, delicious, good price, good hours and great staff!
Amazing donut place. Not fancy designer donuts, but the best conventional donuts in town.
Sweet chickins they make da special coffees for ya and loverly doughnuttos. Do it. You owe it to yourself. Just one widdle pastery...
Always run out of donuts too soon. In this before 11 AM. Not sure if that is part of the allure, but to me it's frustrating.
