Christy's donuts in El Cajon has the best donuts. They don't have a shiny new store like that other place in Santee, but they have better tasting donuts the owner and his family run the shop and they are so very nice. Instead of cakes, we've started treating ourselves to Christy's donuts. ?? Delicious!

No frills, nothing fancy, nothing trendy. This is as classic of a donut shop as it gets. Fresh donuts in all the standard varieties. This isn?t the place you go to try crazy donuts with a bunch of toppings. You go here to get good quality, standard donuts.

One of the best donuts shop in the city and it?s always fresh made, delicious taste with a very good price that you can not beat it I love this place will go back and I will recommend it to everyone

Edit: 10/10/2024 I recently ate these again a few months ago and the flavor of the yeast donuts is different and very unpleasant. The cake donuts, buttermilk, old fashion, and other nonyeast donuts are good. I would only eat those. One of the original Ted Ngoy Christy?s! Outstanding food and service. Friendly staff greet regulars by name. Great variety of classic donuts and unique items. Cake, yeast raised, buttermilk and old fashioned were perfect, and orange frosted cruller was something I?d never seen before. Same for the fruit burritos, which were also tasty. Decent prices as well. 6 donuts and 2 fruit burritos were less than $12. Easy parking and fast service. Worth a trip from anywhere in San Diego.

Friendly and fast service! I tried the apple fritter and the Old Fashioned and my opinion is - skip the apple fritter and DEFINITELY try the Old Fashioned. While I was trying to decide, another customer came in and said I had to try the OF so I asked the store worker to please give me one. Oh my. It was crispy on the outside but SO FLUFFY and soft inside! Definitely worth a visit to try one!

This Place Has Great Customer Service Love their Donuts... They Always Have A Large Selection Of donuts With Quality Ingredients. I recommend this place if you want a good Donut . Oh and also lots of parking space.

I have been coming here since about 1987 when my dad used fo take us before he dropped us at school and went to work. If we got up good at 5am and got dressed and ready on time, he would bring us here or to Aunt Emma's restaurant further down the road. I used to always get the same thing, it's like a tortilla with fruit and a sugar type frosting on it. I also love the maple bars. So good. One thing that i always wonder is why they leave the doors propped open all night long. Weird.

I always drive by this place but never been. Finally today i was craving a donut, and went in. The attendant (guessing the owner) was so attentive and sweet. Very nice lady. The donuts were huge! Sorry but the donuts were not fresh some selections don?t even taste like dough or even have any flavors to it. The oil which they use is not up to the standard cooking oil. My first time going there and while getting a dozen donuts. I saw a couple flies just crawling on the donuts. I made sure I didn't get the donuts where the flies are at. I was so disappointed the donuts tasted weird. It tasted like old oil and didn't taste fresh. It was nice she gave me three extra donuts. Very friendly lady and great service. The lady getting my donuts was so rude ???? I asked for a dozen glazed donut holes (which she gave me no problem) and a dozen regular. First of all the donuts taste like used charcoal. Donuts were great and delicious. However, 1 star off because their price board on the wall does not have accurate prices for their donuts. When questioned about these bogus numbers, the reply was that some of the numbers fell off and they couldn't retrieve them. Decent donuts although they have a problem with separating donuts into additional bags they try to stuff them all in one bag. So if you don't want powdered donut on your chocolate donuts then be prepared for attitude if you ask for another bag

I'm been going to Christy's Donuts since the place opened. Now I'm addicted to buttermilk glaze and buttermilk blueberry'.The best thing about Christy's is to the husband and wife team the owners hard-working family work all day all night every day just to make us Donuts. How cool is that?

They were in the process of making more donuts so the selection was small. The blueberry buttermilk donut was amazing!!! Wasn't quite worth the crappy piss poor attitude we got from the worker. We weren't the only ones who got snapped at and I'm sure we won't be the last. She needs to work on her people skills big time. Other than that not much else to report, it was just another donut shop. Also I found out that they say they are the only ones who make the blueberry buttermilk donuts but they aren't.

Has been owner operated for over 30 years. They continue to work hard to make the tastiest quality donuts in town. Buy a dozen somewhere else and then the same dozen here... Love this donut place. But I've noticed in the last six months that the donuts taste like the machines haven't been cleaned. Not all the donuts just certain kinds. Super bummer because this used to be My hands down fave

Very rude & scary- looking woman who was extremely disrespectful to our kids (who practice THEIR manners ). Very impatient and terrible attitude. Plus second time in a row their selection was sparse . Won?t go back , this is final straw after going there for very long time . There are other donut spots just as good afterall

Worst donut shop in East county older Asian lady has an attitude I ran 3 credit cards that had over $1000 credit limit for some reason it didn't go through on her end she started telling the customers behind me that why I come with no money so I went to ATM next door Took money out paid her & confronted her that she shouldn't be rude to customers like that she said she didn't get mad I won't come back here again

One of the better donut shops in San Diego they always are fresh and the service is great. Its a hidden gem in a nasty little strip mall. Dont forget to tip them its that good.

Don't waste your money on the muffins... i counted 3 blueberries inside the muffin. The top is sprinkled with them like the insides going to be sweet and juicy, BUT NO! They have no favor and taste like they are days old.

Went in today 7-30-21 and asked for the two front choices of an Apple fritter and a bear claw. I Dont know how the rating is where it is. This place is always very rude to customers, they act as if you spending your money there annoys them, and instantly asking anything Else after every single choice u make whether ur two dozen or two donuts drives me nutty. There are many places that appreciate quality customers and I testify that this isn't one of them.

This is my favorite donut shop!!!! And I have 56 years of experience here LOL They are open 24 hours so you can get their yummy donut any time you get that nagging sweet tooth. One of the ways I rate a donut shop is by the Apple fritters and bear claws. If the place has those little puffy looking apple fritter I won't even bother.
