We ordered a cake for our wedding on 5/01/2025 from Chris? Bakery, and it came out more beautiful than we could?ve ever imagined! The communication was amazing from day 1, and all of the staff was so friendly! On our wedding day, Chris? My husband and I LOVE this place. 100% best pastries and lotuses on the island. Recommend the pink lotus with cherry and rose, my husband would recommend the white with pineapple and coconut. The maple bacon bars were SO GOOD too... anyhow the only downside is how busy their rush gets, but that's what rushes are and it's a good sign for the business. Not a single complaint.

I just found out last week that Chris' Bakery existed! Luckily for me, my Saturday involved a trip to Oak Harbor and I of course had to stop by and give a cinnamon roll a try. And I am so glad I did! I always miss this place since they?re open early & sell out of their good stuff quick but today I was able to swing by since we had morning errands & it was well worth the wait. Ahhh the donuts and pastries are nothing great!!! $30 for 12 donuts? stale and strange texture. See? I worked for Walmart and we used the cheapest Everything!!!! The supposedly yeast raised donuts are off? something is a miss when The Donut House and Darens Donuts are fluffy and light and fresh and those are in my humble opinion Yeast Raised? Friendly staff, large selection of pastries, breads, pies, and even some sandwiches. Over 40 varieties of donuts to choose from, at least 8 different breads, 5 different coffee cakes, 3 or 4 pies, some cookies and coffee too! I had a savory sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich that was HUGE! I took a picture of it with the lid of my coffee cup to show just how big the sandwich was. The sandwich was tasty. When I had to order a cake for my parents 50th anniversary, I knew Chris' Bakery would not disappoint. It was fantastic. I had to order it via email, as I live in TX, and all communication was thorough and professional. Each layer was a different flavor (lemon, vanilla and almond) and it was DELICIOUS! Everyone was very impressed, especially my parents. Thank you for the amazing edible work of art!

I love this place, we do homeschool and every Thursday my son and I come here to do homeschool out of the house. All the girls are so nice and professional. Place is always clean and with a good vibe. Nice prices and delicious desserts, I even bring home a pup cake for my doggie??

What a great place to stumble upon. We needed a birthday cake for the weekend and they not only snagged a naked cake and added frosting, they also personalized it with flowers and words. It made the weekend incredibly special. And then we snagged some other baked goods. We haven?t had the cake yet, but the cinnamon crunch cupcake was so wonderfully moist, it made a squish noise in my mouth. It was absolute perfection. And the girls inside were notably cheery!!

Absolutely love this place!! Pastries are tasty and plentiful. Staff are personable and knowledgeable of each donut and their ingredients. Sandwiches are available, made in house, and can be warmed at your request. 10/10 would recommend.

So thankful for the helpful people at Chris' Bakery. With short notice, they made a 3-layer death by chocolate cake. It was perfect, so pretty and delicious. Will definitely order from them again!

Always new things in the case when I go. Just ordered my first cake and cupcakes from them for a month from now. The decorator was called in to make sure she could do what I asked. The girls there are kind. I enjoy the coffee cakes most.

Newer to the area and I?ve had nothing but great experiences here! The staff is always incredibly kind and friendly. My favorite things are the danishes and a hot Carmel latte. If you are in a hurry, don?t use the drive through but it?s convenient for me not to drag my kids inside! The girl working the window today was great!

They did our cupcakes for our wedding and they looked and tasted perfect! We went with a small cake as well and in all both were delicious and would definitely recommend.

I haven't been here in a while, felt out of place because I decided to make a return today and browse around early on a Saturday; they were swamped with customers but the moment I came in I was greeted, was able to ask questions and wasn't rushed. The young lady that helped me was so sweet. We got a few donuts and two bread (would definitely recommend the chocolate croissant to everyone, it was delicious). Went in today to pick up a little something for my bf. The lady's who were working today were very friendly and welcoming ?? I really needed that nice energy. One of the employees even asked if I needed any bags since I had my hands pretty full and I was walking home. She also helped suggest options similar to what I was looking for. It was good, but not the best. I am mostly upset that they have a blackberry doughnut that has (an amazing) blackberry glaze but is filled with plain frosting. Hardly a blackberry dream. :( But the icing is super generous and the lady at the counter today was very kind in answering our questions!

This place has a good variety of donuts and they are tasty. They also have other assorted pastries. The staff are friendly. I got an amazing looking cake here for a birthday, but it tasted like cardboard with obscene amounts of flavorless frosting. There really was no redeeming part to the taste and their cakes are not cheap. We ended up throwing out the uneaten half of it. I can recommend the donuts but can't say the same for cakes.

This little bakery is the perfect place to go to for donuts and coffee. There is much more inside like breakfast items, loaves of bread, cookies, etc. Happy to have a bakery I can go to on island. Will be coming back!!

I am always happy with everything I purchase from here! Always delicious. This morning I tried their sausage and egg breakfast sandwich with their aioli. That was fantastic!!!!!!! This will definitely be the place I come for breakfast on days I am lazy!! I wish I took a photo, but I inhaled it.

Nice place, trouble was when I asked if the Eclairs were filled with custard or cream when they told me custard, I told them thank you but no that I didn't like custard, then I said I would buy Canolies instead. They should have told me that their Canolies were also custard filled, they did not. Money down the drain. I remember the first Chris's bakery, this wouldn't have happened there. I?m changing my review of this place from a year ago to which I gave 5 stars. The bakery recently changed locations, which is great. The food, the same, which is also great. The prices, not so much. This place is my favorite! They made my son's birthday cake a few weeks ago and it was fabulous. My husband won't eat donuts from anywhere else and the drive up window is very convenient when you need a quick coffee. Well worth a stop in!

I have had nothing but great experiences with Chris's! Their stock rotates a bit so there's variety in some things, but they always seem to have some classic pastries and breads. The Boston Cream donuts and the fruit filled Bismarcks are easily my favorites. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the products they are offering. We were visiting in town and I wanted to treat my daughters to something fun and delicious!!! We accidentally found Chris' bakery and IT WAS AMAZING!!! I'm glad we don't have one in my hometown or I would sure put on a few more pounds. :) The Yummies were the best, we tried the blueberry one and the peanut butter one--both were perfectly made. Also, definitely give the almond croissant a try--it's popular for a reason.

I come for their loaves of fresh-baked bread (ancient grain is the best), stay for their savory Aioli sandwiches, and get my kid a donut or two. The punch cards actually build up rewards quickly. There's a drive thru but go inside unless you're just getting coffee. If you can, pay with cash.

I stopped by this afternoon with my girlfriend and her two children. They finally got the opportunity to experience the amazing donuts that I was so spoiled to grow up with in my hometown. Love Chris's Bakery. The new shop is decorated so nicely, staff is friendly, selection is great. I've bought everything from a full apple pie, meat pies, donuts, potato rolls and fritters. ALL are amazing and I think everything is priced well. I am glad they can finally make their donut again.

CHRIS' BAKERY IS WONDERFUL. I asked them do our wedding cake on Valentine's Day when we had the winter storm. They called and confirmed everything was still happening for our special day, Our Wedding. When I was young my family would visit a tiny bakery in St Anthony Idaho whenever we visited. They had the perfect Maple Bar. For over 60 years I have sought out that perfect maple bar in all my travels to no avail, until yesterday. I finally found it at Chris' Bakery in Oak Harbor. Used to go here regularly decades ago. First visit now did not impress. Iced coffee tasted good, but poorly designed cup drips down your chest from loose lid seal. Donuts were hard and stale. Staff seemed disinterested . Won't be going back.

This is a great bakery. It's family owned, and has incredible quality. Personally, I reccomend the meat pies and potato rolls- they sell the rolls by the dozen so get some on your way out- if you decide to leave!
