This was my first time back in this plaza after a long time, and this shop is a pleasant surprise. The donuts are a must try and very flavorful. Soft on the inside with a glaze and crunch of blueberry on top. The ube latte was also very good. Definitely stop by if you have time.

Their Ube Latte was absolutely incredible. It had a very strong ube flavor and thick ube foam. It was very creamy but also not too sweet which I really liked. I like mochi donuts and their texture but often feel they are expensive for what you get. However, these were some of the better ones I?ve had so if you like mochi donuts I would definitely try them here. They are always making new flavors. I tried the seasonal pumpkin mochi donut and enjoyed it.

Delicious, creative and beautiful donuts that change flavors every week! These are exciting to get and try every time and come in a pretty box. I haven't tried anything other than the donuts on the menu and haven't stayed to hang out in the space, but it looks quite spacious. Hopefully will try some of the drinks soon!

This place is the real deal! The texture and flavors of the mochi donuts are perfect. The teas are fresh brewed not powders, everything is perfectly sweet but not too sweet. VERY COOL twist on a donut shop and unlike anything CT has to offer. The place is very simple and well decorated. Perfect spot to reconnect with a friend or work from your laptop. Plus it?s next to my favorite Asian supermarket in the state. The donuts were cute and yummy, the drinks unique and flavorful and the owner sweet and charming.

Update: consistently good! Everything they serve is delicious and the staff are all so wonderful!! This is our favorite place to stop after a long day at the climbing gym down the road!! The ice cream and donuts were outstanding and the service was quick and kind. We got donuts the night before Thanksgiving, to have for breakfast the next day, and they were just as fresh and delicious as the night before. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!!!

Came here specifically for the ice strawberry matcha w/oatmilk. It was SO good-- exactly what I was hoping for! I'll definitely be back for this. We also had a churro doughnut which was super fresh and flavorful. We also tried the iced black sesame latte which was excellent. Overall, whoa, so good. I highly recommend.

I drive from 40 minutes away to get the mochi donuts! The weekly flavors are always new and interesting. Better than other mochi donuts in CT, very light and delicious. I also really enjoy the ube soft serve and the drinks are very good too.

Cha Papi is located in the same plaza as A Dong market. There were plenty of parking since it's a big lot. The shop was charming; the ambiance was that of a coffee shop. I wanted to try out the taiyaki soft serve but they said it would take about 10 minutes to cook. I didn't feel like waiting so that will be a next time thing. I was so excited to visit Cha Papi after seeing all of the hype on social media, and they exceeded my expectations! This was my first time trying taiyaki and mochi donuts, and I'm totally obsessed now. ??This Place is the Must stop by if your in West Hartford CT.?? I?ve been to 45 states and no one has made anything close to what this guys do . I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to try something new . I asked to make me surprise drink and it was amazing , take it from a google expert I know what I?m talking about . Mochi donuts were sweet, a little chewy in the right way, and overall good (nothing amazing nor mind blowing if you have had them before). Hong Kong boba milk tea was also good. Crispy on the outside, soft and lightly chewy on the inside. These mochi donuts have an addictive texture. A half-dozen really satisfies that mochi donut craving for a while too. The flavors are all interesting and worth trying. There are fruity flavors, chocolatey flavors, subtle flavors, punchy flavors, etc. The music and decor feel broad-minded. The staff are attentive, kind and even funny sometimes. Nice place to treat yourself or a loved one.

There was a wait when my daughter and I went to grab some donuts, but it's Lunar New Year so I had no problem with that. The ube bubble tea was perfect, and the donuts had the most excellent taste and texture.

Terrible communication from the staff. Was told five minutes waiting time for my Ube ice cream and it was more like 30 minutes. When I finally got it, it was not what I thought it would be. The very hot fish cone with the hot custard inside, melted the ice cream that it was mounted on top of, which caused it to slide off and get ube ice cream all over my clothes and in my car. My sister and I were visiting Hartford from NYC. We came upon Cha Papi while shopping and soo glad we decided to check them out. On opening day, my sister and I awoke early and chanted, "Cha Papi, Cha Papi," all the way to Shield Street Plaza, we waited 2.5 hours and were not disappointed! The Ube and Passionfruit donuts were out of this world, and the Taiyaki is delectable! There is a wide variety of teas, and I am yet to be disappointed. Tried Cha Papi for the first time today and HIGHLY reccomend. I got two Donuts and the strawberry matcha latte. The matcha was the best I've ever had, they made it perfectly there was not a single grain in the cup (something I have run into a lot when ordering matcha out). The strawberry puree was so good and everything was very fresh. I wish they were located more centrally in west hartford. If you get a chance definitely check this place out!

Customer service was good.. However, I didn?t like the thai iced tea. Tastes nothing like authentic thai tea, some of the boba pearls weren?t thoroughly cooked, & the portion is too small for the price imo.

Very excited for this new business! They've only been open since mid July and have been flooded almost daily for good reason. While some items could see as expensive, they're for good reason. The donuts are freshly made daily and are delicious. The rotating menu offers a fantastic variety weekly. Their ice cream is very creamy and flavorful. I'm a huge fan and proud of their success! Definitely worth a visit but go on their social media before arriving for updates if they are sold out of donuts!

Great place for a quick snack and drink stop. My significant other really enjoys the Ube latte and I have a lot of fun trying new flavors of Mochi donuts. Not all flavors are an instant hit with my family but it's still fun to try them all. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

I don't know how I haven't already left a review. I live down the street and have been probably 8 times since they opened. The donuts are amazing, the ice cream flavors are great, and the tea is an awesome pick me up if you need a little caffeine. The lines have been getting less and less intense over time, so the experience just keeps getting better. Can't wait to find out next week's flavors!

Love the atmosphere of the place! The staff are really nice and the food/drinks are exceptional! I come by here nearly everyday to come pick up my usual and have never been dissatisfied with the service and food. Would 100% recommend.

I was really craving mochi donuts since having them a while back in Boston and when this place opened I was really excited. When I got there I was disappointed, however. 6 donuts for $24 and they?re small! They do taste good but overall I?d say they?re not worth it. My latte was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish them success in their new business journey.

I love all the mochi donuts, I love the chewiness, my personal favorites for this week would probably be the fruity pebbles mochi donut and the one that sort of tastes like a latte but still good. I?m not a big fan on the lemon flavored mochi donut though. Overall all are great and so is the service and atmosphere. And I would 100% recommend this place and I would definitely come back again. And when I do come back, I?m going to try more Mochi donuts!

Amazing local donut spot!!! My favorite is the Sakura lychee fizz. I can't have the donuts because I have Celiac, but my partner says they're AMAZING. I have personally enjoyed their drinks. Definitely go in ready to try some new and amazing flavors.

This place is fantastic! The staff is super helpful and friendly. The mochi donuts and drinks are fantastic but the star is definitely the soft serve ice cream!! All the flavors are delicious but my favorite is the matcha. I recommend getting the ice cream without the cone. The cone is pretty but has an odd texture too hard for for taiyaki and burnt taste.
