I saw this bakery on social media and knew I had to stop by for some donuts. My wife and I made the 45 minute drive down to Bridgeton and sampled some donuts and even got some bagels. The bagels were great and the donuts were delicious. As far as the customer service we got, everything was fine, but the employees seemed a little unorganized. I am very disappointed to be leaving a two star review but it is necessary. I love this bakery and have mainly gotten the product from the school I teach in. This was the first time I ordered for myself and they are not very attentive to their customers. Most importantly the two stars that I am leaving are not because of the product. I ordered 24 cupcakes and cinnamon rolls. The product itself tasted delicious. Although, I ordered two colored cupcakes for an order I planned to pick up on the way to work. W

My son is obsessed with Star Wars and his favorite character is Darth Maul. So I went to Century with my inspiration picture to try to make this happen for my son. All I have to say is WOW! Century Bakery really knocked it out of the park with this one! It not only looked amazing but tasted really good as well. My son LOVED it! This is what Century donuts call an eclair? Ever since centuries has exchange hands and had new owners there baking goods are not the same. I always get a stale hard doughnuts. Went at Easter time and got Easter bunny donuts eclairs and there was a squirt of filling in declares. You would think they would shoot some filling on the ears and face. My husband has purchased a cookie cake here the last 3 years for my birthday and it's been delicious. This year not so much. The sides of the cake were extra tall, hard, and crumbling, and the middle sunk in with about an inch and a half of icing to level it off. The mushroom and leaf designs on it looked terrible. The taste was off and very bland like a Sam's club cake. Very disappointing.

After years of buying donuts from there recently very disappointed. I do believe they have changed the recipe? The once, well, like Frie?s is no longer a cinnamon roll with delicious icing. It?s more like cornbread with a little bit of icing with no sugar. But with no disrespect intended, you?ll never be able to conquer the original?Sadly I?m done with CENTURY DONUTS ????

Not the same since the new owner. Horrible customer service, orders are always wrong and doesn?t taste the same. The new manager is rude and condescending and try?s to over charge for everything. Not the same century bakery we grew up with.

Have the buttercream fries and filled donuts shipped to Joplin, Mo. Best buttercream ever! Only complaint I have is that they ship USPS and it takes so long to receive that the icing is all melted off and the pastry a bit dry. But I highly recommend if you can get to NJ!

Century is an institution. Their donuts and cakes are local legend. It is difficult to order at times now and can be extremely crowded when trying to order there or just pickup.

Place has gone downhill since new management. I, along with several other family members, worked at century bakery so I?m familiar with how it was ran before. Century was cleaned every night and no icing in the glass display smeared everywhere but now it appears they never clean it and have no standards for their staff as they are rude and condescending. Against my better judgement I still ordered my usual cupcake cake that our family has purchased for years and they not only raised the price a lot along

Their fried donuts are amazing! If you?re from the area I?d recommend getting one of their frequent friers cards and just getting one or two donuts each visit since they?re expensive. If you?re not from the area and can afford the high cost, order a dozen fried donuts with whatever icing you?d like. These are probably the best donuts I?ve had from anywhere.

I'd give a 0 star if I could. My mom and I were looking forward to these cupcakes for today for our holiday party. My mother ordered WELL in advance. Everything was fine, on 12/23 my mom went to pick up our order, upon arrival she was informed the normal baker was not in but they completed the order, upon trying the cupcakes.. they were burnt. Incredibly unprofessional but fine we were willing to wait until the next day, we were informed that if the normal baker was in they would make the cupcakes. Great! W

Since this bakery is under new management, the customer service is poor and the manager does nothing about it. Also, the quality of the food is not fresh. You would be better off going to Terrigno Bakery. One time I saw mosquitos flying on the bake goods and when I said something ? the rude counter young lady said what you want me to do about it. I have never been back since.

12/10 would recommend these to anyone. Walked in the morning of my wedding and asked for 60 donuts, with out hesitation the young lady got me on my way at the best price possible with their century dozen deals. I forgot her name but it was something like Abby maybe (sorry, you were really wonderful tho!) And of course all 30 guests are them all up throughout the weekend. And they stayed delicious even after a few days. Thanks for making the start to my wedding day amazing.??

Always the Best in baked goods. Everyone in South Jersey knows that their donuts are second to none. Customer Service still has really faltered since Wayne passed. May he rest in peace? Tried to add two donuts to a simple order for the holidays. An impossible task. Spoke with Mary the manager as well. No way we could get the two donuts added to the order. Kind of ridiculous to even be posting this review. A great product, in the long run, may not be worth much, if your customer service is second rate. End.

I would like nothing more than to give this bakery a 5 star review, as it is one of my favorite places to visit when I come back home to Bridgeton however, I cannot. We used them for our wedding and for every birthday. Best cakes ever,husband loves the carrot cake, kids love the cookies, everyone loves the donuts. There's a drive through for donuts and whatnot but going inside is a treat just to look at all the hand decorated items. People are always nice and go above and beyond.

It is heaven when you walk in and are welcomed with all the delicious aromas! The small bakery is well stocked with so many different fresh baked goodies. I am not a big donut person but there is a lady at my work that brings these in once in a while and I have never ever ever ever ever ever ever had a donut taste as good one. The Boston cream donuts are to die for. Are used to be a big tasty cake eclair fan but now they taste horrible this would be my last meal dessert. They?re that good!!!!!!!

Great tasting cakes, cupcakes, cookies, donuts, and ice cream cakes. Also have always been treated with respect and kindness. There have been plenty of times where i have forgotten to order a cake ahead of time. Ive called Century and explained my situation and the girls there have been so helpful with not only giving me options of cakes they already had made, but also asking me if i want it personalized with writing and decorations, etc. And they have always had it done for me within a few hours.

We have been going to Century Bakery for over 40 years but the last couple of years has been horrible. Cakes, cupcakes and donuts are never fresh always staled. Employees are unfriendly, the bakery is dirty the Ernest family must be disappointed how the bakery is being ran now.

You have not experienced life until you have a century bakery donut ! We stop here all the time and the pastries and donuts are amazing. Keep up the great work. Supporting local small businesses is what drives the economy. Why throw you money away at dunkin donuts and eat stale donuts. Drive the extra 2 minutes and enjoy your snack.

I drove from Wilmington Delaware to this tiny NJ bakery just to prove a point and my Jersey girl was right!!!! this was the Best butter cream donut I ever had period!!! It was worth the trip we brought back 4 dozen I took 2 doz to work and that was the topic of conversation all night long!!

This place was an iconic experience in joy for decades. The donuts and pastries were pure deliciousness! Recently it has not been the same. The donuts taste as though they have been fried in overused oil. They beautiful shiney, creamy chocolate frosting that used to be used on them is dull and grainy. Hope it's just temporary.

I might be a little biased since I grew up next door but in all my travels and places I've lived nowhere has come close to some of the wonderful baked goods you can get at Century Bakery. With only 24 hrs. notice Century bakers provided a beautiful full sheet cake for my mom's 100th birthday. As always it was delicious. We introduced many people in Pennsylvania to how great the half chocolate half vanilla with yummy buttercream icing cake can be. Thank you to everyone there for making it a special day.

I love, love, love, Century. I feel bad for them because they can't get help and only the drive through is open. It takes much longer, but the window person was awesome! And the pastries and donuts are as good as ever!

I just purchased the worse ice cream cake from my favorite bakery today. One of the workers told me I was pretty much stuck with what was made. However, another worker stepped in and tried to help but I was still disappointed. A 60th birthday cake for your mother's birthday is pretty important.

I love Century Bakery. Seems to be the general consensus that their butter cream can't be beat. I definitely agree with the other posters about this. It's amazing! All of the baked goods are still relatively cheap, in a day and age where gourmet bake shops could gouge for the same stuff.

Got a birthday cake for my daughter from them and they were able to decorate one from the case in a matter of minutes and they did an excellent job, the cake was good too!

So my last 2 orders were made incorrectly. But....I decided to give them one last chance...FAIL! Again, I ordered an ice cream cake and the crunchies were barely there, but the ones that were, were completely mushy! These are birthday cakes people, and it's not like they're cheap! I paid $22 for a cake that kids wouldn't even eat!!!! This was the last childs birthday they ruined! Strike 3. Totally disappointed!

They have a fried donut like no other but it is the same selection all the time. The staff is always very helpful and try to accommodate whatever you need (except the female early morning baker, don't mess with her system/schedule!).

The staff has know customer service . If you ask them a question they look at you with an attitude, like why would you ask me a question. I would never go back. The staff at Terringo's Bakery are so much more professional and have good customer service skills.

Bit into a buttercream donut this morning and found a staple in it. If you drop a foreign object into a batch of something you are supposed to throw the batch away not use it anyway.
