Customer Reviews

Went this morning pretty much at opening since I have to be at work so early, picked up a apple fritter and chocolate *surprise its actually maple* donut, it was $8.64 which surprised me but I was already running a tad late so I said screw it and got it anyways, really craving a chocolate donut only for it to be a maple one really sucked (pregnant), very expensive for pretty average donuts, id rather spend the $4 a donut at dunkin, but i appreciate the fact we have local buissinesses at all so plus one sta

The best donut shop in town!! To watch other people, clearly from out of town or not from this neighborhood leave negative comments is disappointing. These negative grumpy reviewers really don?t take the time to meet the family who owns it and works the shop. Some of the nicest people I?ve ever met. And to those complaints about freshness, a total bogus claim, these donuts are always, always fresh, you can count on that.

Love this place! I go every Friday for the last 6 years. The family loves the taste and specialty donuts. Never been disappointed. Family owned which I respect and could not recommend enough.

Came to pick up a DoorDash, was told to give a five star review, had to make this review and show him but hey I got a free bag of really good doughnut holes

Full disclaimer I'm not from here. I'm from where you walk into a donit shop at 5 in the morning and are immediately greeted by the smell of recently baked dough and coffee. The donuts here, when I showed up early in morning didn't look fresh at all nor taste fresh at all. No fresh dough smell like I had smelled every time I visited a shop back home, not here. However, the sign of the owner's wall read "baked fresh every morning", laughable. And I even asked the one guy working the shop in what looked like

Our first visit was on last Saturday and they were totally sold out. It turned out that they had only just opened 2 days prior. We went by on Sunday before church and they were still working out some issues with their menu board, pricing, and register. We opted to try again this weekend and I went by early (5:10 AM) on Saturday and it went a lot better. After talking a bit with the owner, they're still working on training their staff who were pretty much all new, and working on getting everything necess

This place is hit or miss but usually misses. The first time I visited, the doughnuts were fresh but really expensive ($10 and change for a Fritter and Long John... quite a bit more than I'm used to). I returned a few more times but they were never as fresh as the first visit. Other reviewers are right. Service is ish. I've given up on this place.

Most of the donuts were good but the chocolate when we went were awful. I had to ask if they even had chocolate since the chocolate looked like maple. We trusted that the color might be just a little different but it did not even taste like chocolate at all. These donuts were expensive so this was extremely disappointing.

I got donuts for the office. The person who greeted me was very welcoming, and helpful. The place was very clean. About the donuts; well, I don?t eat Gluten. But my office coworkers stated the donuts were flavorful, sweet, and very good. If you like donuts, check this place. -Vega Approved ??????

Best donuts in the state. Get there early if you want to partake in their cronuts. I have not had anything bad ever. They also make amazing homemade macaroons. Kind, friendly, warm faces every time I have ever gone in. If you're looking for your favorite donut....you have found it.

Everyone kept raving about the other donut shop in town which I tried several times and was really disappointed by. This place was amazing! The texture and the taste of all the donuts were amazing. My husband isn?t a fan of cake donuts. We both thought the cake donut was light, fluffy, and delicious. The old fashion donut was our favorite, by far. It tasted crispy and was really good dunked in a cup of coffee. I will definitely be shopping for donuts only from this place.

If you?re coming from a place that knows how to appreciate their costumers & knows how to cook food, then don?t come here. We came on a Sunday morning donuts looked to be about a couple Days old, the breakfast burrito was SOGGY. How are you gonna offer homemade burritos and warm them up in a microwave. Will not come here again. They are super pricey too we got one donut, dozen donut holes and breakfast burrito it was $22.

Great kolache and donuts. Support your local donut shop

Absolutely worth stopping in. We came in around 10, and the donuts we got were so soft and perfectly sweet. I also took home some jalapeno kolaches which were delicious! Very attentive worker and clean environment. So glad we stopped in.

Wife and I got 2 cinnamorolls. The inside was still raw. Considering the cinnamorolls were about $5 each I would hope the baker did a better job making sure the inside was better cooked that way they could avoid giving their customers food poisoning. Sticking to Donut House for now on.

Was blown away at the price of an apple fritter so I decided to go with a breakfast burrito that said they were homemade. First of all it's this tiny little thing that they warm up in a microwave so it gets unbelievably soggy. I've never had egg or sausage taste like that before and it was absolutely disgusting to be bluntly honest. And they want to charge $5.50 for something that would be about 4 or 5 nights at most! You're better off going to grocery store and getting donuts and frozen burritos.

Great place their donuts were super fresh and the owner was super friendly will definitely be back.

Used to slide up in here and get donuts and coffee and have 1-on-1 networking meetings with various business owners. It was one of my spots to get connections early on in business and the owners of the place are good at what they do. The interior is outdated for sure but the food is amazing so I highly recommend them to anyone seeking BOMB donuts!

A wonderful selection of doughnuts, but don't go in expecting to only get a few you'll leave with a dozen a dozen! The fast service with fresh doughnuts definitly makes this a great stop if your passing by.

Nice small non-chain donut shop. Prices reasonable , staff helpful and accommodating. Also have macaroons regular and with ice cream.

This shop has great donuts.... made by the owner! The dough is very good.... not too dense and not full of air - just the right balance. The toppings are good..... personally loved the pinecone - I do not know if this is a Colorado thing, I am new to the area, but it was awesome! The owner's daughter was running the show and was super friendly and helpful. This is a clean, family run business.... donuts are more expensive, rent is high and it requires a lot of time to make donuts.... up before dawn....

Best blueberry cake donut I've ever had. My son also loved the vanulla sprinkle donut. Glad we passed by here on our way to Springs

Not impressed. The donuts were dry, which seems to be true for several others who wrote reviews, and had way too much glaze on them. Why are they selling stale donuts? These are our least favorite donuts from a shop. We won?t be going back. King Soopers has better donuts and that?s saying something.

Donuts are fresh. Taste okay. Overly sweet with too much glaze. Filled donuts hardly have any fill, and when asking for extra they don't comply. Overly expensive for this sake. Half dozen is over $18.????????

Small place highly focused on quality donuts. Their kolaches are big, fresh, and tasty. All the donuts looked fantastic?my son loved the filled maple long john. Coffee (Dazbog) was also good. This place doesn?t suck at all, y?all.

Best donuts around, my family can?t get enough!

The donuts are actually good, however the selections are lacking.

Best donuts in castle rock. I only go here went I want a good donut.

After having tried a couple more popular and well known donut places that similarly have doughy, hard and dry doughnuts I thought Colorado just wasn?t the place for donuts, maybe it was the altitude. I then tried this place, the donut I had was soft and pillowy, unlike any other Colorado donut I had thus far. I wont name drop the other places I tried, but this is the be all and end all as far as I know so far. Its worth the drive.

Not terrible but not exciting enough to get me to come back. Donut prices are a bit steep. Ordered 1 coffee, and was handed an empty cup to fill up myself. No creamers, just some tiny half and half cups. Thats minimal effort if you ask me. Get some pump flavors at least. Coffee margins are high, so make it better for your customers. The gas station is more convenient next door and I could have had a better experience spending less money. Really hope they do well as I love supporting local business, but th

I don?t know why people say the Donuts are dry? These are the softest, most delicate and delicious donuts I?ve had in my life ????????? It?s run by just 2 people or a little Family and is a true small business, fresh every morning and sold out before close because everyone knows how good their recipe is ??

He opened a few minutes early when he saw me outside, he was super friendly and nice. I let him choose the last three in my dozen and they were amazing choices! The donuts were delicious as well and my coworkers also loved the donuts and the breakfast burritos, I will be coming back as much as my diet will allow.

Excited to get donuts and when we got home one of the donuts was raw and underbaked. Very disappointed and won?t be going back.

Server was friendly but just handled the food w her bare hands and never seemed to catch all of anyone?s order. Also it?s nothing fancy and the fritters taste like old grease. ?Not worth the calories?

Delicious donuts and kolaches, the best my family and I have found in the region extending from Castle Rock and up through the Englewood, Cherry Creek and south Denver areas. My husband liked the breakfast burritos; I didn't try those. Caveats: The coffee was terrible the one time we ordered it (never again), there's no seating despite plenty of space, and the donuts are expensive. But they're so consistently delicious and fresh every visit, whether weekdays or weekends, that I think this donut shop and i

Great place for a quick coffee and doughnuts. They also have delicious looking macarons!

I first off want to say I would consider myself more a donut expert than your average person, whenever I see a new donut shop I make it a point to stop by at some point. I have been eyeballing this location for a while and finally went in one day in the afternoon. I expected the donuts to not be the most fresh donuts since it was close to their closing time but I was wrong they still tasted very fresh. They have a great selection here, lots of variety. The donuts themselves are amazing the toppings are grea

Lots of yummy donuts to choose from, friendly people.

Ordered ahead and picked up 12x 1/2 dozen of donuts for my marketing for my business. These are hands down the best donuts I've had in a long time. Will be coming back for personal and business needs. A+

I stopped in for the first time on Sunday morning to grab some donuts. The lady behind the counter was nice and they have a fairly typical selection of donuts. I'm not a big donut person, but I did have a French crueller and it was really good. I also had a small bit of a blueberry old fashioned donut and thought it was tasty as well.

Good donuts, the best donut by far is their croissant donut. They have a good raised donut also but would come back for the croissant donut only.

Save yourself the trip. Overpriced and poor quality. Took the granddaughters her for a special little trip. Was charged almost $6.00 for 2 basic donuts. They overcharged me on my last visit, didn?t catch it right away. Charged me $16.00 for a dozen donut holes. Nothing special? Won?t be back?

Yummy especially on a snow day

Always friendly, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and family oriented. They have so many choices. Something for everyone to enjoy. We visit this establishment at least once a week for the last two years and have never experienced anything except positivity! Everything is fresh and fully stocked. We love this place! Thank you for the guaranteed pleasant experience. That truly is so hard to come by nowadays.

Simply the best donuts around. It's a family owned shop, and they are very friendly. And the donuts are always fresh. The 'old fashioned' donuts are the best I've ever had. And you can watch them put the filling in your filled donuts. NOTE: They're closed Mondays.

This is a great little donut shop, the donuts are light and fluffy, with great flavor. They have quite a selection that makes it tough to pick, my daughter really likes the "puppy dog donut". The cookie monster is a close second though. The old fashioned glazed can get a bit oily, but that's typical of that style. They also carry some other treats like macaroons and pig in blanket things that look great too.

Love this place, donuts are always fresh and taste amazing. The Cashier is very helpful, she always is smiling and is very sweet . Great atmosphere and always clean. Have been coming here for about 2 months now and the drive from Centennial to Castle Rock is so worth it.

As always, Victoria and the rest of the staff were awesome. My first attempt using UberEats did not go smoothly, but Castle Rock Donuts saved the day. The owners are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and they always treat each customer exceptionally well. Thank you very much for another wonderful experience!!!

The donuts taste good but they are extremely expensive. They also have the dumb kiosk that asks for a minimum 15% tip without having to press a bunch of buttons. 3 reg donuts, two filled bismarcks and the donut holes they have pre-packaged.. 5 donuts and some holes $20.

I joined a gym after discovering this place just so I can keep eating them and not again 1000 lbs. These are hands down the best donuts I have ever had, they are so light and airy they almost melt in your mouth, and the glaze isn't so thick that it crumbles and makes a mess when you take a bite. It. And the donut holes, they are soooo good! They are not cake donut holes like most places. I just pop one in my mouth and it melts. I almost didn't want to post how everything is in case the donut holes are gone

Made an unplanned stop here and so glad we did! Donuts were DELICIOUS and had a great variety! Service was wonderful and pricing was very fair for the product they sell. Highly recommended!

Great donut and kolache Bakery! We tried two kinds of kolaches and four different donuts. Dough is fluffy and perfect. Sausage tastes great and donuts were not overly sweet. Among top donut shops we ever tried.

If you want your sweet donut ruined by a sour attitude you came to the right place. The woman at the counter had a nasty attitude for no reason. Small selection and rude as can be. Won't go again and suggest people don't go there. The donuts are nothing special and the attitude is below par.

Went in a Saturday morning with my son. We drove down from HR to buy something at Sam's and wanted a treat before heading back. Staff was very friendly, and at 10am the donuts we're still fresh and delicious. Some of the best donuts I have had in Denver. Only complaint was that sense we got there a bit later in the morning they didn't have any of the cool ones left. The person infront of us got a frutty pebbel one.

I ordered 2 dozen powdered sugar donut holes the day before our Christmas party. We pick them up at 7:30 a.m. They were so DRY and had zero flavor!! They tasted like they were a week old! I was so disappointed, especially since I special ordered them!!! I will never go there again!! Buyer Beware!!!

I did love their Donuts but Ive been recently going and Their Donuts were not that good as they used to be, kinda dry. Tasted like they were stale. I got a coffee drink and it was like they left it out of the fridge, cause there were chunks in it but wasn?t expired. Just watch what you get from there,l.

Donut ??! Getchasome y?all! Crisp outside and soft inside! Lots of toppings and choices

We visit pretty often and we're never disappointed. The kolaches are great and everyone is very nice and very great with kiddos. The puppy dog donuts are a huge hit with our kids.

Their shop is not conveniently located, but we wanted to give it a try. Their selection is different shapes of chocolate and glazed donuts. Very few other options. When I asked a question it was answered as if I was a nuisance - but seriously, why have a donut shaped like a pine cone if there is nothing special about it? When we got home with the donuts, they were no better than what we'd buy at Kings, for much less. Compared to the other donut shop in town, this one leaves much to be desired if you want mo

Excellent donuts ,fresh and delicious ,they have a great array of donuts cake and yeast . I love the red velvet and old fashioned . But my absolute favorite is the kolache the best in denver by far . The shop is a quaint little place very relaxing atmosphere ,great music and always clean and tidy . Absolutely looove it!!!!!!!

Amazing service AND amazing donuts! The person helping me was so kind, they made my first visit to Castle Rock Donuts very pleasant. I will gladly continue to support this business! You won?t be disappointed!

There was hair on our donuts. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Nothing like a few strands of glazed hair on top of my donuts. I was hoping for good donuts. I didn't see the hair on the donut balls at first and started eating a donut from the dozen we purchased. These donuts sadly taste as bland as Walmarts or King Soopers donuts. There is nothing that good about them, and worse, after a few bites, when I saw the glazed covered hair mixed in with the donut balls, I lost my taste for all donuts from this place.

Ok so first off all of our long johns were only filled about a third if the way will filling. This isn't the first time this has happened either. So we called to let them know and the gentlemen said he would have replacements for us at the shop. So I get in the car and head over. When i get there he fills the new donuts and proceeds to charge me for the replacement donuts. Absolutely ridiculous. We will never be going back. Never in my life has this happened. Not to mention this was the third time we got sk

When I arrived at 10:45AM they had 1 glazed and 6 maple donuts. They had no plans to make more donuts either. Cannot say this is a place to count on for donuts.

Stopped in while we were getting gas across the parking lot. Will remember to pull in again next time we're driving through! Yum!

Best donuts in town. The cronuts are one of the best things I've ever had. Always friendly with a great selection. Need donuts, no need to look any further, just come to Castle Rock Donuts.

Near closing time. The young clerk said he couldnt serve us because they were closed. I pointed to the clock, and he said what would you like? Had donuts. Mediocre. The clerk acted as if we were bothering him. I wont go back.

These doughnut were the best thing to happen to me this week. I was bracing myself for a long and difficult day and decided the best thing to do with these feelings would be to eat them. Not living in Castle Rock, I popped into the first doughnut store I saw after coming off I-25 and could not have been happier that it was this one. The doughnuts were amazing - great texture, absolutely delicious, one was shaped like a pine cone, what more could you ask for? The man who rang me up was even kind enough to in

Horrible. I paid for a rock hard macaroon, that I could only take 1 small bite out of, before throwing away.. The doughnut selection is weak, at best, and the server was rude, and seemed bothered we were there. $14 for 2 doughnuts, 2 macaroons that we threw out, and 2 sodas. Rediculous. No wonder no one else was there. Burned, yet again, in Castle Rock, trying to support small businesses.

They were extremely helpful when I stopped by to order donuts for our daughters wedding reception. Very friendly and donuts were amazing. Thank you for making it such a wonderful experience.

UPDATED* At first I was upset regarding this bakery's odd hours. It seems to be closed often; I'd even witnessed several customers walk up, trying the door only to walk away with downtrodden faces and grumbling why it?s closed randomly during the week. Only upon my 4th visit did I make it into Castle Rock Donuts. And I was so un-disappointed that I HAD to revise my negative review. The owner, whose name I believe to be Danny, is a family-oriented Asian man speaking very broken English, which is often tran

Their donuts are fresh and delicious. The owners are very kind and generous. If you live in the Castle Rock area then I highly recommend this place for donuts and other pastries.

This area is famous for its delicious donuts.

Bake enough donuts to last through your open hours. It is not acceptable to close more than 3 hours before your store hours. This is an unreliable business practice. Customers like consistency.

Great little donut place . Loved the old fashioned buttermilk . The Cashier is such a sweet person she is always smiling . Price is abit too much ,but honestly don't mind paying it .

Great and unique donuts! They have a cronut, cookie monster (with a real cookie) and so much more! Awesome locally owned shop with a wide variety of options!

Amazing the difference between fresh, donut shop donuts and what you get from the grocery stores. The donuts from here are awesome! It costs a lot more, but you understand why when you taste them.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of donuts but I do wish there were more non glazed cake donut options.

Made my first visit and it's a donut! Not bad! Fast friendly customer service with a Korean atmosphere. Seemed offended when I didn't leave a tip and asked for my receipt!

Love choosing the fillings foe each pastry! And they taste wonderful. An added plus was the employee was so kind and patient!

Donuts aren't bad but they are overpriced, definitely not worth the $5 spent on 2 donuts. Selection wasn't the best either for being there at 530am.

Such great and simple donuts! It's not that hard people. You don't need breakfast cereal or lavish accompaniments, just delicious donuts. Great job!

Donuts are a little overcooked, tried them twice just in case I was unlucky the first time. Though this donut place is the most convenient to go to in castle rock, I will probably go out of my way to find others.

Let me just say WOW! The Donuts here are sooo good and the variety was awesome. I could seriously eat here every morning if I could afford it and wasn't trying to lose a little weight.

Love this shop. Friendly, courteous and good. I like their filled donuts, you get to pick the fill you want in your donut - yum!

I didn't eat donuts before tried their donuts. Those were awesome!! Very delicious and FRESH! So I started to eat donuts again, but only their's.

Great and fresh EVERY DAY, the Kolache is amazing and do not forget the apple Friter, visit you won?t regret. They are open from 5:00am to 2:00pm except Monday( off).
