Carolina Glazed Donuts

My youngest asked for donuts Sunday a.m. Since our previous go-to is gone, tried Carolina Glazed Donuts for the first time. We tried the raspberry filled, cream filled chocolate glazed, chocolate brownie chip glazed, cinnamon crumble, and blueberry cake donuts - all were fresh and delicious ?????? and service was super friendly ?? This will be our new go-to!

Greatly disappointed. Hardly any choices. Tried several donuts: chocolate, glazed, cinnamon and cake donuts. None stood out. All bland and rather tasteless. Split the apple fritter into four pieces to share because it was way too sweet. A few tables, clean but not particularly inviting. Despite the cute take out box....we are not going back.

The donuts were pretty fluffy and had a solid glaze. Not too heavy either, so definitely a plus. Solid enough variety for me, but I could see how others may want more.

The doughnuts here are SO good, and they make multiple batches throughout the day so there is rarely a lull in the fresh goods! (Unfortunately, like any good bakery, it is possible that they may be all snatched up if you come at the wrong time) We often go here after a long run to refuel, and it never disappoints. The Apple fritters are as big as my face and delicious. Also it's super cheap! Definitely would recommend.

They offer lots of donut, however they sold out immediately if you come late. I came around 7 in the morning and still smell the freshly baked donut and all of them are still available. It?s affordable and I love their cream filling as well. It?s not too sweet for me and the owner/staff are nice and friendly.

Delicious, fluffy donuts at incredible prices. Yes, it's a hit and miss on whether they're sold out or not sometimes, but I've gone a few times in the afternoon (1pm or 2pmish) and they still have a decent selection. I don't think negative reviews regarding sold-out donuts are very fair, regulars know that this place will close up early when they sell out.

Every time I?ve come after 10AM, they?re completely out of donuts. It?s confusing and disappointing, especially since they?re technically still open. I?m not sure how the business is run or if it?s meant to be a first-come, first-served setup, but if that?s the case, it should be communicated more clearly. Oh. My. Word. Hands down the BEST apple fritter I've had in my entire life. I seek out apple fritters wherever I travel because they're my favorite donut and I'm not exaggerating when I say this. I showed up 20 minutes after they opened and the apple fritters were still warm - the perfect balance of crispy outside with soft, sweet inside. ????

This place has the best donuts I've ever had! My wife won't have any other now. The cream filled donuts are filled when ordered, everything is always fresh! The staff are super, polite and professional. The prices are good too. The only downside is that they are so popular, especially on weekends, the donuts are sold out before I can get there. These are the best donuts in the RTP area. The donut shop is run by an asian family that do an amazing job making their donuts and fillings. They are always fresh and never stale. The donut shop itself is very plain, but it?s very clean and with donuts this good I can less how the place looks.

I always see this place driving by but never stopped by until today and I'm glad I did. The gentleman serving today was amazing! He was professional and kind. That alone is hard to find these days in some establishments. I will absolutely be returning to give this place business.

I usually do not eat donuts, but Carolina Glazed Donuts is an exception. I love the smell of freshly baked donuts in the mornings when I stop in to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings. I've eaten more than my fair share of donuts and Carolina glazed are among the better half I've eaten. They aren't spectacular, but they are affordable and delicious. I'll definitely be returning. They have a good selection, though many of their donuts are mostly standard forms and flavors. Nothing groundbreaking here, but they offer a good donut for a good price.

Glazed and gone to heaven. These remind me of getting donuts when I was a little girl with my grandpa. Seriously soooooo good. The old fashioned was perfectly crisp on the outside and the maple bar was spongy and fluffy all at once. Make the trip to this little place! These were some pretty good donuts depending on what you pick. The glazed twist donut was my fav. They do seem to sell out pretty early because this was on a Sunday right before noon. So I would suggest getting some as soon as they open!

Think is one of the hidden treasures in town. Awesome donuts for a great price, with a very pleasant employee. First visit, will definitely be back in the future...many times. 26 May 2022, sadly shop was closed today at 1600, with a sign stating ran out of donuts. CLOSED. I drove 2.5 hours trying to get here before closing time, which have changed as well from the hours printed on the door. Will try again another day.

I love donuts, so I usually look for local privately owned places whenever I travel. I was so pleased that this wasn't far from my hotel. They were so fresh and delicious! Thank goodness that I didn't get there too late. It was apparent to me that they most likely would sell out by late morning.

Honestly these are some of the best doughnuts I?ve ever tasted. Their cream filled are better than KKreme. However, they are never open!!!! I call them on my break 12:30pm they?re closed! I try to catch them when I get off and they?re closed. When do they open?!!! My friend lives around the corner from them and has said the same. Great doughnuts, if you?re running out within the first couple of hours, maybe make more.

I am not joking when I say that taking a bite out of one of their donuts is like taking a bite of heaven. The donuts are light, fluffy, and perfectly iced. They?re also ridiculously cheap at $0.99 per glazed donut. The next time I?m in the area I will definitely pop in!

The best donut shop around. These are true west coAst style donuts. So fluffy and not over glazed but with a slight chewy texture. I love love love them.

The doughnuts were not bad by any means, but they aren't something to get excited over. This is my opinion from the visit I took. I visit many local doughnut shops across various states during traveling, and this one unfortunately didn't stand out. The atmosphere could use some TLC, as the decor and design is little. The lady that assisted me was kind, which I appreciated.

Exceptional donuts, and I love that they are a small business! You must try the cream cheese frosting in a filled donut--absolutely delicious! I love not only the variety of donut options but also the variety of filling options. It allows for a lot of customization based on your preferences. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Get there early for the best selection though. This place is already becoming a favorite with us.

A decent donut. A great apple fritter. I'm not sure why anyone would say they are better than Rise-they are on two different levels (for taste, product and PRICE). I got 3 donuts and an apple fritter. I ate a glazed and it was decent. Not bad nothing really to talk about either. The fritter....delicious. I ate a piece. And keep going back for more (try it with ice cream! ). It is really good. This is something the other reviews got right! If you go....you must try!

6 out of 5 stars. Perfectly proofed pillows of fried perfection! Good thing I was only passing through or else I'd stop here every darn day. Fresh! And the glazes were smooth and tasted light and fresh, not gritty or manufactured. Can't recommend enough! Stop here in the AM for the start of a great day.

Their Apple fritter is out of this world. Sampled various donuts and they are one of the best I have had. I am not a big donut person but I am sure these Apple fritters are going to keep me coming back.

I like how you get a choice of fillings for the donuts that they fill right in front of you. The donuts are very good even if not great, but the apple fritters may be the best I've ever had. If you don't go for any other reason, you've got to try the fritters!

This place is a gem. I tried glazed twisted donut, cinnamon twisted donut, powdered donut, chocolate donut, blueberry munchkins, and red velvet munchkins. The donuts here are great and I've been getting them here and there for years. HOWEVER, multiple times I've been in the area and wanted donuts only to find out that they were out or just closed because they keep strange hours and will close the doors if they run out of donuts. This is just unheard of for any type of restaurant to close early and run out of food. I stopped by this morning to grab something to make early morning meetings seem doable. Not only was the service fast and friendly, he threw in some extra don't holes. My go to place for doughnuts and ESPECIALLY apple fritters. They have the best apple fritters I have ever tasted and they are the main reason I go here. The fritters are also pretty large. This is not a real bakery. Nothing fresh. Donuts are essentially grocery store donuts. Cheap pre-bought dough and filling is low quality syrups. Support what you want to see. Not what?s available. Service is fine though.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but they really need to increase their prices. Take some of that money And make the place more interesting. They were sell ing $3 to $5 specialty items for $15 a dozen. I'm shocked that they can stay in business with these prices. I honestly felt like I was taking advantage of them. Maybe they want to specialize in takeout? Very yummy and we will be back!

Great donut shop with homemade, dough donuts. It's pretty busy in the mornings, but it was worth getting up earlier to get enjoy some donuts. Didn't have a chance to take photos the last time I went because I was too excited to eat them. The chocolate glazed was my favorite but I plan to get the apple turnovers and the twist donut next time!

FINAALLYYY found the perfect yeast donut in the cary/durham area. NC has a donut shortage compared to other places. Carolina glazed donuts has the perfect donuts, the staff was very kind, and I was in and out within less than 5 minutes!! I will be stopping here weekly from now on.

They didn?t have any donuts when I came. From my experience, donut shops close around 1/130, so I was excited to go to one open later, but it defeats the purpose of you being open later when you run out and have no plan to make more donuts.

Excellent doughnuts, soft and airy with good squish but still a slight chew at the end. Decent flavor in the glaze, not the best maple frosting I?ve had but certainly passable. Did not try any of the filled ones or the cake donuts. Coffee is very mediocre, but didn?t cross the line into being actively bad. Just go here! We ordered 5 dozen donuts and a couple of large coffee boxes. They called us in the AM to make sure we were still on for picking up. Everything was ready to go and looking fabulous when we got there. Donuts are bigger and better tasting than DD.

Good quality Donuts from a local mom & pop shop. Staff is always friendly. Donuts are simple & they do fresh fillings at the time of your order. They always have customers coming & going no matter what time I show up. Try to get here before noon or the Donuts would run out.

Came in at 11:50am, not much selection because it was so late in the day. The few donuts they have were fairly fresh and good. I had a custom filled glazed donut with custard and it was really good. First time I've had a filled donut right there infront of you. Kinda cool.

This was the first coffee/donut spots I tried when I moved to NC. I've been returning here ever since. They have a decent selection of donuts. I just learned you can get some of the donuts filled too, but I think it only applies to some or a handful of donuts. The staff has always been kind from my experience. The coffee is decent on its own and they have creamer and sweetners on the side so you can make it to your liking. Great convenient spot for donuts and coffee!

It?s hard to find a good yeast donut in Raleigh/Durham. These are good and picky-eater kid approved, but giving 4/5 stars because I?ve had better outside of North Carolina.

Best donuts in the Triangle, not as crowded as the other places, and a good price. Let's start with the best; they make the best Apple fritters I have ever had. Properly crispy on the outside while still being soft and moist on the inside. Their other donuts are all excellent as well. They allow you to choose the filling for any filled donuts, so you get exactly what you want. Bottom line ,if you want good donuts at a fair price this is the place for you.

Best Donuts around period. Everytime I bring these to work or to a friend they all agree these are the best donuts. One of the coolest things about them is you can select a donut and then select the filling you want in it.
