Top of the line, Carlos himself is a really good man. Carlos runs an amazing family business, I was fortunate enough to see donuts being prepped for the next morning. Rude customer service. 4/17/25 8am The second I walked in with my kids I was stared down and didn?t get a hello, when I was ordering I felt like I was such an inconvenience. I'm almost hesitant to review this place because I don't want to wait in line for donuts once everyone realizes what a gem this place is. ?? Try the BIG bear claw... it's amazing and easily feeds two people.

Best donuts in Tehachapi. We stop here every time we come in from Montana. Their dozen is 14 dounts and 1/2 doz is 7 donuts!

My kids devour their doughnut holes... Also, we have a tradition of buying their giant doughnuts for whoever we're celebrating on special occasions. Each one of these doughnuts could feed 2 or more adults or maybe even a cop!

Carlos?s has wonderful donuts. Light, fluffy, and tastefully sweetened. The owners are really nice people and the service is amazing. I recommend their jelly-filled, the apple-filled crumb donut, and the maple bars. The prices are great too!

I've been getting donuts here since I was a kid. I love 'em! Even when we had other donut shops open, I would always choose Carlos' over them.

Great donuts but the girl working this morning on Sunday November 10th around 9:50am had no customer service skills whatsoever. She was rushy, couldn?t answer a question about a donut without a rude tone, had a miserable look on her face, and when it came time to pay she said my total and after I paid there was a pause and in an unfriendly tone she said ?you?re good.? No ?thanks, have a good day?.

Amazing donuts. Whatever their secret ingredients these donuts and the service get two THUMBS up. Was it a little strawberry mixed with the chocolate, or a little orange essence mixed with the crumb? All I can say is YUMMMM. Friendly staff and great coffee too.

Carlos Donuts is legendary in Tehachapi and even the surrounding communities and cities. Their fresh doughnuts are amazing! Staff is always courteous and helpful. If you get there early enough, you may even be able to get one of his popular breakfast burritos. And finally, Carlos is a huge supporter of the community! His kindness and generosity exemplify the spirit of our small community.

It's just the donut shop, right? Think again Batman, this place has Huge Yummy Donuts and Fantastic Cinnamon Rolls and other good things.. Marie, Antoinette probably didn't say "Let them Eat Donuts" but she should have and they are available for your consumption at Carlos's Donuts.

Small town vibes of a great local donut shop. Always greeted with a smile. Donuts are tasty but I could be a little bias as I want to support local business My go to for local donuts.

The donuts are the freshest, tastiest donuts you'll ever eat. Get there early because this place is a hometown favorite and we love Carlos as well as his yummy donuts. All the donuts are scrumptious. My favorites are jelly, lemon and apple filled, but all the cake and glazed and bars are also in my box.

My first and only time here was disappointing. The young girl working was very annoyed we came in. When we asked if they had a certain donut she rudely snapped ?What you see is what we have.? Wow. Who peed in your cheerios lady? I ended up getting something but wish I hadn?t. What I had wasn?t so great. I doubt I?ll be back.

BEST donuts in Tehachapi! This is our family's favorite spot, they have something for everyone. They have unique types of donuts that I have never seen before at any other shop too. Freshly made, tasty donuts and friendly staff! We would highly recommend!

Best donuts EVER. We are from out of town and decided to stop by and these were the tastiest donuts we have ever had. So light fluffy and very tasty. Impeccable service as well. Only recommendation is to get there early because he runs out!

I very happily make the 30+ minute drive just to get the AWESOME doughnuts. The apple fritters are the biggest and best tasting Ive ever had. Even showing up after 9am there was still a good selection.

Not only is Carlos' the best donuts in Tehachapi, they are some of the best donuts....PERIOD! Been a regular customer since moving here in 2014. Carlos' even did an amazing job on a large custom order for a donut wall for our daughters wedding. The donuts were a big hit opposed to the traditional wedding cake.

Carlos' Donuts is the best donut shop! Carlos is a very friendly person and we will continue to eat his donuts. I love the orange and strawberry donut but you can't go wrong with any of these delicious delights. I'm not sure if the burritos are still served but they are amazing!! Carlos' is #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carlos is absolutely the gold standard of doughnut shops of not only the Tehachapi area but the greater local area as well (Bako-The A.V.).

Carlos. Is a dude a good dude? And he makes good donuts and he's got good people working for him. I highly recommend this place.

Best donuts in Tehachapi. Friendly and community oriented. Raised and cake donuts are light fluffy and not too greasy or overly sweetened. Can get breakfast burritos (they all have meat so I haven?t tried them, but people say they?re great). Coffee available too. Most donuts cost just about $1.25

It's okay. We just moved up here. And my kids love having a donut before school (not an everyday thing just a treat on Friday's for being good). I thought I would try this place since it was close to us. They did not have donut holes. Plus my son said they didn't put enough jelly in his donut. But, the prices were average and the staff were nice.

We are rarely up early enough to make it to Carlos before he sells out. His official closing time is 1:00, but he'll close early if he runs out of goodies. We got there just in time last week. He'd already swept and put the seats up on the tables, but he was gracious and gladly sold us two delicious lemon curd filled doughnuts. The best in town.

These are the best donuts in Tehachapi. You can taste the quality in a simple glazed donut, but they also have all the bells-and-whistles from jam/cream-filled to fritters, bear claws, etc.

Carlos donuts is the definition of a true donut. You can just tell and taste smell and feel and hear as you go to bite someone savoring it while watching you eat it. Bombizzlefoshizzle. Too bad they got hated on and the health took away those great the Mexican burritos. We all miss them. But the owner is a great man and may he keep prospering and loving what he did. Thanks sir.

I don't even know if there are other donuts in town but I wouldn't go if there were. The donuts are huge and cheap and GOOD. You have to try an apple fritter at least once. Carlos is always in store, which is nice. They also have burritos but I've never tried one. I wish there was a place to get kolaches, but since those are only served in Texas, I'll keep dreaming.

Well worth the 30+ minute drive from Bakersfield.. Very friendly staff..too bad for that I showed up on a Sunday though.. doughnut holes are already reserved on Sunday. As others have stated 14 is the dozen and a great dozen it is. Oh of course the giant apple fritter is a must.

Definitely the best by far. You can't get donuts better than these, because they don't exist. They just use the best ingredients and that's what you get the best donuts. Prices are very fair, service is exellent, owner is a great guy. Do yourself a favor and take the time to come by and see.

Best donuts, great service, family owned donut store. They also make really delicious breakfast burritos but you have to get there early because they sell quick. Also, they only take cash... make sure to stop by atm on your way. Yum! Yum!

Best donuts I've had. They are bigger donuts then anyone else for about the same price. Today, 2-11-2018, we paid $6.50 for a half dozen (7 donuts).
