Stopped in here late one afternoon and when I opened the door the young lady was mopping the floor. I thought they may be closed. She said they were open. I thought my pickings would be slim but the cases were packed. I got two white cream filled donuts. I took them home and ate hours later. They were both very good. The interior of location is very well done
I know it's supposed to be the town spot for getting doughnuts, but doughnuts really aren't my thing. HOWEVER, they are one of the earliest places opening in town daily (6 AM on weekdays), so I dropped in one time when I needed to get some work done and was looking for Wi-Fi and made the pleasant discovery that they serve a hot breakfast as well ? simple fare mostly, like breakfast sandwiches ? but the price was very good. So far, the BEST DONUTS of my life ????. Every one of them has a unique and outstanding taste and when I asked the guy about the recommendations, he literally said, " All of them are good," and honestly, all of them were DAMN GOOD. Besides donuts, they have a really good coffee.
Stopped here twice while I was in town :) Yummy donuts (love that they have strawberry glazed rings) and very reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches. I tried one on a donut and it was amazing ?? Great customer service too!
Such delicious donuts. Found right in downtown Elkins this is the place for some great donuts. Fresh are the best but a box of yesterday?s donuts will do just fine! Always a smile when we go and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Thank you for being there!

Absolutely love Byrd's ?????? such a cozy place, fantastic donuts, huge selection, always fresh and great breakfast sandwiches. Not only will they cook to order with a little notice, but they also offer custom artistic donuts and pastries for celebrations, something I'll definitely be taking advantage of in the future. There's lots of cool crafts for sale by several local artists inside and they've got a cool donut themed painted piano for the musically gifted patron. Shop Local.

We visited at noon on a Saturday and they still had a great selection available. The service was very friendly and personable. We loved the donuts, particularly the maple ones.
I don't live in the area but needed to get a very specific cake for a birthday. I found this place online and emailed them specific flavors and pictures of how I wanted the cake designed. It turned out beautifully and was a major hit.

Nifty little old school donut shop. Coffee that tastes like coffee - no "notes of raspberry, tropical fruits, and leather." It's coffee that would be fine being called Joe. Donuts are big, flaky, and tasty. And there are other fine things on the menu like hot dogs, sandwiches, and pepperoni rolls. All inside a comfy atmosphere. Worth a stop and stay. Five stars

Coconut Donut best I?ve ever had.
Delicious donuts and clean atmosphere. They are quick to package even during the morning rush. The staff is so pleasant when we visit. My family also loves to play the piano outside. Byrd's House of Donuts is a beautiful gem in Elkins.
The donuts are amazing, and they have a huge variety to choose from. Their prices are good and the staff is very friendly! I traveled from Pittsburgh PA to Elkins WV to get more of their donuts, and they were generous enough to set aside two dozen donuts for me, even though I wasn't going to be there until almost closing time. A+ customer service, and the donuts are just as good as I remembered!
Picked up a dozen donuts and they had a great variety of options. From cream filled to sprinkles, the family ate and enjoyed all of them. The chocolate with peanut butter was a huge hit with my kids. Also, the price for the dozen was a lot lower than I normally pay at other donut places. If you are in the area, check out Byrd's for some tasty breakfast treats.
I no longer have to go to Buckhannon for fresh, bakery doughnuts! Found this little gem right here, at home. Doughnuts were absolutely delicious! The staff was polite, helpful, and the store was very clean. Wanted to give 4 stars, only because they sell out of the doughnuts we like, so quickly. We?ve found other flavors that we now enjoy as well. Not their fault. They?re just that good! Thank you very much!
These donuts melt in your mouth. Dirt cheap, huge variety, gloriously mom & pop atmosphere. The pumpkin seasonal donuts are amazing, but the classic vanilla glazed from Byrd's are my favorites so far. Thank you guys for amazing pastries!!

Arrived at the shop at approximately 9:20 a.m. I ordered half a dozen rings, and basically sampled what they have. From the first bite, I knew what heaven tasted like. They are moist, yet not dense. They are airy, but filling. The taste was extraordinary! But, there is a catch to it. Get em while you can, because the whole town is craving em!

The coffee is like hot water,no flavor. The donut case was bare and they were stale. The girl working the counter said that donuts are typically made every 3 days..wth ppl. Prices are too high, considering the quality of the product.

Awesome place to bring the kids. They had make your own donuts and ornaments for the kids. After 4 hours in the car this was the perfect place to come while we waited to check into our hotel.
