Buettner's Bakery

Buettner's Bakery

Reviews Summary

Buettner's Bakery receives mostly positive reviews for its delicious, fresh-baked goods like donuts, pizza bagels, and pastries, with many praising the friendly staff and old-school charm. However, a few customers criticize high prices, inconsistent service (noting one particularly rude employee), and outdated decor. The bakery is a beloved local staple, though some feel it could benefit from modernization and improved customer service in certain cases. Quality and nostalgia keep patrons returning despite occasional drawbacks.

Happy fat Tuesday! As one would expect Buettner's was swarmed with people getting as many Packzis as they could. I will have to come back to try anything else. The fritters looked amazing! I hear the pizza bagels are also to die for. Honestly I would have paid more for everything I bought. Their prices are fair for the homemade quality. My office loved all the treats!

Variety of baked goods...donuts are my favorite...also blueberry muffins, apple fritters, pizza bagels, cookies, et al!!!

Excellent cream cheese-donut pastry.

This is a small family owned bakery and they never disappoint. All of their pastries are wonderful but my absolute favorite are the pizza bagels. I eat them cold they?re so good but of course can be wonderful to warm up in the oven. I highly recommend. If you?re ever over in this part of town, it could?ve been easy for you to pass this but it?s on the Main St., East 185th St. right on the border of Cleveland and Euclid. This is a must stop. The main street is in the middle of a rejuvenation project so I?m r

Three generations of my family have shopped here, wonderful bakery!

I have been going here for 45 years always been great for pizza bagels donuts and strudel. Never went to a bakery I liked more. I just wish they would spend a few hundred bucks to paint ,new floors, and clean it up. It looks the same as 45 years ago. Staff is always pleasant.

Secret Steelers Bakery tucked into the heart of Cleveland! ??

The lady at the shop was very sweet but I will never eat from there ever i had a piece of hair wrapped all around my donut when I took it out the bag

Ida is a ray of sunshine. Absolutely the BEST VALUE for hearty baked goods and treats made with an ingredient we could all use more of: LOVE ?? ?? ??

I went to Buettner's to get some Christmas cookies. I was SHOCKED at how expensive they were, $35 for 1.5 lbs. of cookies that tasted good but were sloppily decorated and broken. The woman at the counter was rude and the minute I walked in and started looking at what they had she rudely asked "SO?" like I should be instantly ready to order. There was nobody else there so no need to rush me. I know prices are up everywhere but $35 for 1.5 lbs. of cookies is STEEP for barely enough cookies to fill a tray. I

My west side workers are having their first pizza bagels ever!!! They couldn?t even believe when I brought them in that they were still warm. Delicious every time!!!!

While they have an extensive selection of beautiful looking treats, they were all old and stale. I ordered about $20 worth of various things and they all tasted several days old and honestly, two items (a custard filled long john and a cream cheese filled doughnut) had spoiled. The lemoncake was moist and yummy but the brownie was dry and old and the snuggle was inedible. I do not recommend this place.

Stopped for the first time this past weekend. We are new to the neighborhood and wanted to try the local places. The baked goods are so good. Everything looked great and I can?t wait to stop back and try more little bites of heaven they make. The lady was super nice and patient. Highly recommend.

First of all, the 6 dozen donuts I bought were wonderful and highly complemented by those who shared. Second they helped me out of a bad situation by taking care of my last minute order with grace and kindness. They will get my future business.

If you love donuts, Buettner's has the very best and freshest donuts in cleveland!! So get yourself over there to get one, a 6-pack, 12-pack, and a cup of coffee, or two, a pizza, or any other pastries you may want. You can't go wrong! Thank you Buettner's for putting your best donuts ?? forward!!

The woman named patty is so friendly and sweet that's what customer service should be. Hard to find nice people anymore.????. !!!! For a non pizza place the deluxe slices are great. !! And everything else.. a class act women for sure !!????

Today was my first visit to Buettner's Bakery. The service was of a high standard. I ordered doughnuts and cookies and I tell you they were very delicious and the lady who waited on me said that I will be back and she is 100% correct.

I went for the first time this Saturday morning and the pastries were delicious. Everything is made from scratch. The place could us a little sprucing up but it is clean and the staff person was very nice and helpful. I will definitely go back again.

I used to go to Buettners twice a week for bread a few pastries. The product is solid and sometimes surprisingly very good. The new lady at the counter is the rudest person I have ever seen in a place of business. She has been rude to me on numerous occasions. But I have seen her yell at other customers, make bad change, hand out obnoxious comments, all to other customers. It is as if she is trying to put Buettner's out of business. Maybe that is the plan. I will not go there when I see her through the wind

This place is outstanding! Everything that I've tried has been amazing, my favorite being their apple fritters! And the service is fantastic; everyone is super nice. You're gonna love them, trust me.

The owner of this establishment has the highest and best professionalism in the hair care industry. Salon owners like her are definitely hard to find now days! LaMia Evans is a rare gem in the hair industry! Keep making women, men and children look beautiful.

Came out of retirement to review this place. It's like every 70/80s era movie bakery. And legit scratch cookies. I had the jalapeno cheesy flatbread. Remarkable. Go to this place.

The owner Janet she's been doing it since she's been 13 when they wanted to sell the place she bought up on it The recipes are from the twenties she doesn't go out of the way to make changes they're the same as they were in the twenties Get there 630 and 7 they'll still be fresh hot and delicious maid daily You Will not be disappointed They still use the same machinery As they did in the twenties they never updated but she uses those machines they work just as well now as they did then How do I know I wo

Great old school bakery. Everyone there is nice and helpful. Buy baked goods there to share with your friends and you will get nothing but smiles in return. Still is the best!

We used to get cakes, pizza bagels and so many types of pastry there when I was young. Stopped in there today and everything is still so delicious. I'm so happy I stopped in??

LOVE THIS PLACE!! Very friendly. Chocolate croissants r absolutely amazing. Best pizza bagels I've ever had.

Decor is outdated but get there early. Donuts the BEST the Eastside has to offer. Fried apple pies!!!

great pastries but the worker is rude omg !!I've been going here for 40 yrs it never was like this even when I worked at lucky's restaurant in the 80s and 90s it was never this bad idk what they want to do but I tried it twice now I've gotten bad service that's it such a shame I love that place too well I guess everything changes just sorry that I live close and have to drive out to vine street

Pizza bagels and fried apple pies are solid, and service was very friendly

Fresh donuts and friendly staff

Love their donuts. Wish they were open 7 days a week and that they would make more of the donuts so they don't run out before 8AM

One of the best bakery's in town - for miles around. Buettner's has always provided me with great bakery! Happy to recommend it! ~~~Nancy

Small, down home type bakery with an amazing selection of homemade goodies. Hard to choose, so bought several. So good!

What a shame! This used to be the best bakery in the neighborhood. It's disheartening to see this place has not been maintained, the manager was rood and the interior was filthy!

Giving Goldies a run for the money. Old school. Looks like the neighborhood bakeries from the 60's and 70's when dounuts where a 0.10 each.

Old fashioned bakery. Wonderful flaky crust for turnovers and etc. Worth driving a ways to stock up.

This woman behind the counter was so rude I wanted my money back and will never go back. With bakery service like this they need to close shop.

I've been to this bakery several times the baked goods are always fresh.

Soooo nice again! New people work there and are so polite and nice and the food is still great ??
