Bristol Donuts receives mostly positive reviews for its unique, high-quality donuts with creative flavors and good texture. Many praise the friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and excellent gluten-free options. The coffee is hit-or-miss—some love it, others find it bitter or overpriced. A few complaints mention inconsistency in freshness, flavor intensity, or burnt items. While most customers rave about specific donuts like the peach bomboloni or passion fruit filling, some find certain flavors lacking or dry. These donuts are delicious! Not as sweet as most places but it?s an acquired taste. Their purple prickly pear donut was perfection. Their fried donuts are also so good! I was looking forward to the cream filled London fog flavor but the cream wasn?t flavorful enough. I tried this place a second time and this time got the vanilla sweet roll and oh my goodness! A+mazing.

I like coming to Bristol Doughnut Company because it?s off my normal daily commute. I usually order an americano with a flavor they have for that month and a doughnut. The staff has always been friendly and answered any questions I had regarding their menu or flavor for the coffee. I?ll be a returning customer.

Went to this place for the first time, I got one of almost everything. It was nearly $50 which is quite expensive. Some of the donuts were really good, others seemed very hard and dense. Generally the cinnamon roll kinds were better than all the others. I felt the service was really good though!

These donuts are perfect. Not to sweet just enough i don't feel like my teeth are gonna fall out. I had the vanilla bean cinnamon roll and the chocolate filled sugar donut. Soft and perfect. We will definitely be back. I ate mine before I thought to take a pic..lol

Gluten Free Donuts are AMAZING! Great texture, not dry or too dense, and the perfect amount of sweet. Multiple glazes to pick from unlike most GF donut options! I had the coffee glaze and it was great! The staff were super friendly too!! Also, if you want more icing, I?m sure you could ask and it wouldn?t be a problem. I trusted their judgment & think it?s sweet enough with drizzle. :)

I frequent this place on my way to work occasionally. The coffee is decent. I find that mid morning they?re out of most donut flavors. I like to treat myself to a donut now and again. I know they use good quality ingredients and the donuts are substantial but the reason I do not visit so often is they are quite expensive. An iced coffee and a donut is about $10. It?s worth it sometimes but not every week. I also wish they served savory donuts like a Spinach/Feta donut or Ham/Cheese. I think if I could justi

Obviously the earlier you go, the better for donut freshness and options. The prickly pear donut tasted just like a regular plain iced donut. But the warm lavender tea was amazingly delicious.

$10 for two doughnuts. Tea was bland, barista complained about making my tea with milk because it was going to take a minute (there were no customers behind us) and didn?t even make it with milk, I didn?t ask the girl in the red hair to remake it because she made me feel like I was bothering her. Also forgot our coffee and had us waiting 10 minutes. Coffee was good, doughnuts were alright. Atmosphere was cute, plenty of seating.

I was really looking forward to trying this coffee shop, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. Ordering was frustrating, there was only one menu posted, and it lacked key details. Syrup and coffee options were listed on a small, hard-to-read sign by the register, which made it confusing to know what was available. When I asked the barista a few questions to clarify, they were short, unhelpful, and honestly came off as rude. It made the whole ordering process uncomfortable. As for the coffee and don

Two weeks ago, I got the sweet potato meringue donut from Little Bear. It was moist and delicious. Today I picked up 3 from Bristol, but they were disappointing. I?m pretty sure they were regular brioche, not sweet potato brioche.. ?? They were drier and not orange at all.. The bombolonis were disappointing too. The pumpkin cream lacked flavor and wasn?t sweet enough. The caramel cream also lacked flavor, could barely taste caramel.

Cute place! Music that is not overpowering, wifi that is consistent, donuts that are mouth watering and lattes that are robust? this was a great little nook. Studying/work: Went here to study and the only thing lacking from getting 5 stars is the lack of plugs to charge. Bakery: since it was my first time here, I might not have known about the most popular donut? seems many people came in for a certain one and they were sold out. Get there early if you want first pick- but I was not disappointed with the

Donuts were very dry and over cooked for the price. Almost $10 for 2 donuts, not worth it at all! Rude Worker also seem to be bugged that we disturbed her from whatever she was doing! It was our first time there so we were looking around seeing what was available and she didn't like that we werent ready to order when she was ready to help us out! We won't be going back to this establishment ????

I normally don't leave reviews but the last 3 times I've called to make sure they have a specific donut or flavor. I get to the store and they are sold out. I drove across town. I was told they cant hold or save donuts which I understand but at least fair warm someone they are low are only have 1 or 2 more. I drive from the Westside. Very disappointed and not going to go back.

The donuts were really good! We got cinnamon sugar, maple and a salted butter. They were really good. The outside was crispy, and the inside was soft. My partner got a coffee and said it was good. The staff was very friendly. The woman who was our cashier was sweet, knowable and helpful. The donuts and coffee were a little expensive. We got 6 donuts and a small coffee and it was $20 before tip. When we went the selection was very minimal but we also went around 12:30 so it was to be expected and our fault.

Locally owned and operated business with craft donuts and decent espresso. (Anyone who follows James Hoffmann show love for coffee). Many interesting flavor combinations with the donuts but tried the standard cake maple glazed. Excellent. Not heavy, nor overly sweet. The glaze had real maple. Definitely worth a stop. Staff friendly and courteous, facility clean.

update of 6-5-25, i went back to try a few more flavors and i was seriously dissapointed. The coonut cream.baremt had a hint of coconut, the coffee and maple both had no flavor at all. Maybe it was an off day, but 3 soso donits out of 3 wont have me going back. I am a donut fiend and I just found my newest obsession, the passion fruit filled donut. Omg when I say it was heaven it was in every bite. Not too sweet, the whipped cream/custard had tiny bits of passionfruit. The taste was a tiny explosion o

Note that it was New Year's day, but they ran out of doughnuts before noon. Ordered two coffees and basically spent $10 on a could of shot glass sized drinks. They tasted good but were tiny and overpriced.

Clearly they don't listen to, or address customers concerns of ridiculously high prices. That's greed and disrespect. So they believe they can get away with ripping us off AND pawning off old, stale donuts on their customers. If that's not fraud, it's certainly negligence.

Update with new location! Now located at Comanche and Morris. In a double decker bus! First I have to say that the double decker food truck/ bus is a fantastic idea! It?s creative and unique, and all around super cute. They have refinished the inside so that the bottom is where they sell the doughnuts from (and coffee) and upstairs has seating for you to enjoy your tasty treats. The doughnuts are still the same, and delicious. The premium ingredients shine and make them exceptional. The bus is heated and c

Wonderful staff and great overall Vibe. The donuts were amazing! I can see this place exploding during the day. Glad we came early!

Good place to hang out, have good coffee and good quality donuts ??. They also have good tea, coffee and espresso. They do have delicious gluten-free donuts in here. Staff is very friendly and informative. The bus is their signature trademark. I would bring my family and friends here.

I am a very picky and frugal person when it comes to desserts - I only eat them if I think I can't make them better myself and they're worth the price. Never in my wildest dreams could I make the bombolinis they have here - perfect fluffy texture, the granulated sugar and crispy outside, the absolutely DIVINE filling (I've tried horchata and creme brulee now and both were EXTRAORDINARY). It's so rich I usually have to take a break halfway through (which means it's kind of like two desserts, that's a win-win

UPDATE March 12, 2020: The operation has moved into the building next to the double-decker bus (which is the easiest landmark for finding the parking lot)! They stay open until 4pm and make fresh new donuts on-demand when items get low in the case. We devoured a "thin-mint" (dark chocolate with light glaze and minty flecks--cake type with fine crumb) and "Bombolini" (wowowow: delicate sugared crust surrounding a pillowy soft interior bursting with just-sweet-enough coffee-flavored cream filling--yeasted typ

Donuts are simply acceptable breakfast cupcakes. Seriously, you have toppings, frosting, cake, and sometimes a filling. There is Zero nutritional value, so we eat these to enjoy the flavor. But, speaking of flavor, where is it? I can just see a judge on one of those bake shows, asking g what the inspiration was, commenting on how horrible the appearance is (inconsistently frosted), the dry texture of the cake (like a day old donut) and... what flavor was this again? Absolutely no taste. I'm visiting the a

The big double decker bus in the parking lot caught my attention. So cool. The donut ?? shop is quaint, warm and welcoming. Dining in is allowed. The staff are friendly. The donuts are hand made and the TLC in that process adds just the right seasoning. The dough is soft and melts in your mouth. The coffee was spot on. The flavor profile is smooth and rich. The price is in line with a quality product without being pretentious and over priced. Plus, is you buy two donuts and a drink you get 10% off your orde

I review places that make an impression on me. BDC is baked with love and I have just enjoyed the family time so much I forget to take pictures and review them. That should tell folks alone how dope this place is. This is an awesome family business. Owners who care about the ingredients and the products they produce are fresh daily. We started with BDC when they?re in the double decker bus on Nobhil. This is our Sunday hotspot with our children. A perfect cheat day spot. When you cheat might as well do it w

After hearing such great reviews about this place I was certainly disappointed by my experience. I stopped in to get donuts for my family and was thrilled when I saw they had gluten free. I ordered the vanilla donut with prickly pear icing. You can only imagine my disappointment when I received my donut and it was not even fully iced. A few strips of icing to me is not what a donut is meant to be. The taste of the gluten free donut itself did not make up for the lack of icing. I?m sure the regular donuts ar

I bought a cinammon roll this morning to go. When I arrived home, I found that the bottom of the roll was burnt. It is inedible. I am extremely disappointed that the employees deemed this was ok to sell.

After so many recommendations of how good their donuts are. My husband and I decided to try it. And I can honestly say the donuts are terrible. The donuts were dry, sitting out for a while, the flavors aren?t great, and they did not look good they were ugly. They are also way over priced. People definitely overhyped this place and we are disappointed. We tried them still to give it a benefit of the doubt but we regret spending our time and money on these donuts.

Editing the review a bit based on my experiences with them from another food service location that works with them that I shall not name. The quality control from Bristol is really terrible. They have very high staff turnover so at any point the donuts could range from being fine to inedible. Often they would be burnt, or way too small, or poorly glazed. They become stale almost instantly; they will basically be extremely hard by the end of the day. The donuts were ok. The selection by the time we got the

Discovered mango passion tea. Never heard of it. It's now my favorite. Delicious pasties. And it's within walking distance for breakfast.

Great atmosphere. The GF, vegan chocolate donut with a coffee glaze was amazing!

Let me start off by stating this: I have never left a review for doughnuts. . . Until NOW. A total diamond in the rough! I left there spending more than expected, but I wanted to treat my son's academy staff, which a dozen of these delicacies did the trick. I couldn't resist getting me a Cinnamon Roll and him a chocolate sprinkle doughnut. I left his academy 5 minutes ago and had to post this before starting my day at work. I have had ONE bite of my fresh Cinnamon Roll (pictured)..... WOW! I thought Great H

The doughnuts were delightful and we enjoyed going up in the top of the bus. A totally worthwhile stop! The had a great menu of the standards and some more interesting takes, like prickly pear.

Update 3 (Feb 2022): Still the best donut shop in NM. Doesn't matter what time I come in, the product is consistent. Support the little guys who still care, most restaurants and shops standards are gone. Bristol's integrity is still holding up and it shows in the crunchy/fluffy bite of their decadent donuts. I will keep coming back. Update 2 (Sept 2021): Every time I return here the product is consistently good, still the best donut in New Mexico. Pricey ($3-4 per donut) but worth every cent. The dough ha

I have gone so many times and I am always impressed by the quality (and size) of their donuts. The regular flavors are good, and they always have several exciting new flavors per month. The pictures below show some of the summer flavors - watermelon, chantilly, and honey/lemon/lavender. Hope I got the names right. Anyway, I'd highly recommend them!

Hear me out, I think there's 2 kinds of donut-eaters. Personally, I'm not big on donuts I'm general. There's very few donuts I like, but I love the donuts here. Even the savory chili cheese roll is great. But it seems to me that people I know who like donuts in general don't really appreciate this place. I don't know what makes these donuts different, but this is how I wish donuts were. This place makes donuts for the rest of us. The staff is always kind. The flavors are always interesting. This place is sp

Best donuts I've ever had! The dough is incredible

I got sold a day old vanilla bean twist for $5. How did I know? It was wrapped up with a ?Tue? sticker on it ??

It is a nice place to visit and sit with coffee or tea and a donut. Also they have gluten free donuts.

A bit expensive, but very tasty donuts. Cute atmosphere

Amazing texture and freshness for the chocolate donut dough. The cold brew wasn't half bad either. $10 for the Double Decker; well worth it. All the staff were friendly and the shop was very cute! Will be coming again.

The best baked donuts! I try to always get a cinnamon roll and a salted donut.

These are probably my favorite donuts of all time (the prickly pear, especially). So light but still... so filling. It is a rarity that I don't finish a donut in one sitting but I think it is because they use quality ingredients. You can also sit on their double decker bus out front, which is always fun or enjoy the ambiance of their cafe. The people who work here are always super sweet too.

The doughnuts are not too sweet so the flavors really stand out, and the flavors are imaginative and brilliant. My first experience was a London fog cream doughnut!

This place was absolutely fantastic! I have lots of dietary restrictions so it?s been years since I?ve been able to have a donut! Their gluten free donuts happened to be safe for me and let me tell you, they were freaking amazing. Luca helped us by looking at the ingredients in the gluten free flour blend and glazed our donuts to perfection. We will absolutely be coming back.

The donuts are delicious! The peach bomboloni was Heaven. The filing was creamy and the sugary donut melted in your mouth.

I echo most of Nomadic RN, with the exception of the first couple of lines. Most of us know that donuts have little nutritional value. I ordered a maple and a salted butter. The maple tasted like lemon, not maple at all and the salted butter had no distinguishing taste. The price is ridiculous considering the lack of quality, skill and creativity. I like to support local, but when I can a better, fresher donut from Smith's for $.99, I won't be back to Bristol's.

Nice spot in a quiet little strip mall. We miss the bus though! That was our main reason to spend the extra $$ on the fancy doughnuts. They are good and hearty, not like the light little dunkin style.

Visited here for the first time this morning. Excellent food, coffee and service. These might be the best donuts in Albuquerque! We took a long drive from the west side just to try it. Well worth the trip.

Great base cake on the doughnut with some really well done icings and toppings. Spot on flavors and good size on the doughnut. Tasty coffee as well.

There aren?t too many, if any places that have gluten free donuts in Albuquerque anymore. My gluten free donut was very tasty and the vanilla latte we ordered was very well made. We really enjoyed our donuts. Love supporting local businesses.

I love doughnuts.. waay too much. I found this spot a year ago and fell in love with Bristol.. Today I tried a tiramisu cream filled doughnut and now.. I want a dozen. ?? So fresh and light, and I just lightly reheated in my toaster oven... found my new favorite flaavor. ?

Bad coffee, even worse service, excellent doughnuts. It is extremely pricey, which isn't even a complaint in the doughnut department. But some of the best, in the limited selection, get "discontinued." Customer service is typically pretty abysmal (with a few exceptions). My sweet daughter, who also works in food service, asked very nicely for a coffee recommendation and was told flatly, "We have coffee." The visual atmosphere is charming, but the vibe is often cynical and unwelcoming, as described above.

Try the honey latte!

Fun setup. Good donut, nice view from the top of the bus. They ran out of coffee though; that was a bummer. I'd take a lesser donut with coffee than a better donut with none.

I had a pastry snack from the day before at a discount, with a coffee. Both were super yummy! Cashier/ barista was very nice. Pretty fun coffee bus stationed outside the shop. Highly recommend! Also, fun shops to browse in the same shopping center.

Love the hot teas and Vegan doughnuts here! Love coming here ! Staff is very friendly,!

Delicious donuts, friendly service, super cute shop! We?ll be back ??

Bristol Doughnut Company in New Mexico has carved a sweet spot in the hearts of my family with its irresistibly delicious donuts. The doughnuts are renowned for their perfect balance of softness and crispiness, creating a texture that's simply divine. What sets Bristol?s doughnuts apart is the extensive variety they offer, catering to every palate. From classic to innovative flavors, each donut is a masterpiece of flavor and texture. We appreciate the attention to detail and the commitment to using high-qu

Friendly staff and definitely delicious donuts!

My favorite local donut spot! I try to make it in every week, and the crew is always so kind and helpful. They keep a good rotation of new donuts to try, and even when they run out due to being a busy local business they offer alternatives. Great spot!

Tried this place for the first time today and we?ll definitely be back. Great selection of huge doughnuts and drinks.

My kids love the double decker bus! We stopped today and were able to eat on the bus ???? we loved it !

Delicious and an experience that everyone needs to try. You can order downstairs and enjoy your yummy goodies upstairs.

Delicious as always!!! Their customer service is great as well. They are always very pleasant. Yup...always get two! They are about to open a shop in the same location...very excited about that.

Came in and ordered 4 donuts and 2 drip coffee?s. The clerk said I?ll bring the coffee?s out to you. After waiting a while I asked about the coffee?s and he pointed to two cups that were sitting on the counter. No one called out our name and we had no idea they were ours! The drip coffee was extremely bitter and lukewarm! The donuts, which had been our favorite in Albuquerque, were mediocre and cold. Such a bitter disappointment! We left the coffee and threw away the donuts. Such a waste of money!

Adore this place. Cold Brew is always perfect and my favorite from anywhere else in the city. Hubby thought it?s a doughnut place you get a dozen in a box, no. These doughnuts are a meal themselves. The cream bomb doughnut pictured is big enough for two. Prickly pear doughnut is my second favorite. Every time I go in I cannot pick new things to try. Make sure you look at a smaller menu by the register for their truly specialized drinks. 10/10

Our first time and we were impressed. The unique donuts are delicious! The lemonade, coffee, and vanilla bean were our favorites!

A true bakery with the best donuts we?ve had in Albuquerque.

Expensive donuts but delicious! Also, loved taking a European photo of the double decker bus and Triumph Scrambler!

Stopped in yesterday (National Donut Day) late in the morning. They were low on doughnuts and I picked up a half dozen of what they had available. I was told if I waited for a bit, they had some guava filling ready to go and would prepare some fresh doughnuts. Absolutely delicious and worth the wait! Definitely will be back!

The Prickly Pear and Cinnamon rolls were amazing, even for getting them in the late morning hours. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only warning is if you order only line, they may not have what you order. We ordered our items online before picking up but the online menu is not accurate or kept up to date. They ended up not having what we ordered online and what was marked as out of stock they did have. The employee said that has happen a lot at that time. My advice is to order in person.

Bristol makes some delicious doughnuts and coffee! Very friendly staff. Cool flavors, nice ambience. All around winner.

I?d like to write a better review because the shop is cute and convenient, but my husband and I went in and ordered 4 donuts. A double chocolate, a maple, cinnamon sugar and vanilla swirl. All were completely flavorless. Even the chocolate. How can a double chocolate donut not taste at all of chocolate? Same with the maple. Absolutely no maple flavor whatsoever. Worst part?it was over $14 for 4 flavorless donuts.

I absolutely adore this donut/coffee shop! Great selection of donuts. Love the atmosphere of the sitting areas. As a celiac, I appreciate their attention to detail when it comes to cross contamination. For their gluten free donuts, they cook them in their own separate trays. They are kept away from the other donuts and they are glazed to order with a lot of different frosting options. Even the frosting is kept in a separate area. When preparing, they also wipe down the counter and change gloves! This will b

Huge donuts with unique flavors like prickly pear. Extra friendly service. A few tables outside for sitting & enjoying a yummy treat. They are quite expensive & so huge that it's hard to enjoy more than one variety. Also, the yeast donuts are sometimes "clumpy" like they didn't rise enough. Not my favorite donut shop, but I love supporting local & I'll stick with the cake donuts & cinnamon rolls in the future.

Saturday morning. My wife and I Bought an Irish cream donut, a coffee donut, a salted butter donut, and what looked like a twisted and then coiled thing that felt like a fritter, a large coffee and a lavender latte for $27 plus a $5 tip. All but the fritter thing were dry and dense. Suspect they are selling day old or two day old product at full price. Coffee and latte were not good. Bitter and a little sour. Nice kids running the place, but it felt run down and tired and looked un-kept, and the table we

Instantly fell in love with this doughnut shop. Awesome flavors like prickly pear and even vegan options! The coffee also delivers. There is a nice ambiance to the store, which makes it pleasant to sit in. Ideal for conversations with friends, reading, or just getting out to a place where people are passionate and friendly. And the double decker bus outside! Who doesn't enjoy walking up to a local shop with so much charm and character?

My husband brought us here excited. He said they remind him of some donuts we had at the Oregon coast. However we walked in and the selection was picked over and the donuts we did have, tastes stale. The tables were dirty and the bathrooms were out of both toilet paper and soap. Post COVID and no soap?! Sadly we won?t be coming back. Interesting that I get an excuse for a low supply, but not to the stale donuts. I appreciate the response from the owner, but sorry doesn?t feed the bulldog. I felt like we go

The donuts are amazing! Hands down, light and fluffy. Great customer service.

Went for the first and last time. Doughnuts were dry, seemed like day old. They got my order incorrect, so big disappointment when I got home. The coffee was a extremely bitter!

The baked doughnuts are $4. And the register prompts me for a tip on top of that... This isn't a restaurant with table service. The high cost of donuts plus asking for a tip is too much. I walked out with 4 donuts and paid about $20 recently. I left regretting the purchase. I can't justify that cost & won't be returning. To the owners: I suggest not prompting customers to tip at the register, your products are expensive enough. (Tips are for normal restaurant staff who make less than minimum wage)

These are the MOST DELIGHTFUL group of people! They are WELCOMING, glad you arrived, funny, helpful and just the BEST!!! LOVE, LOVE going there after dog park! To each of you my continued appreciation! Smells good in there too!!!

While I was there I got to eat good gluten free donuts paired with great service. The person behind the counter seemed also to know everyone who came through the door which added to the atmosphere

I've been meaning to stop by here and have Donuts for a long time. I'm a bit of a donut guy, and I love trying out new places! My wife and I went to try them out at about 10:00 on a saturday. They were by no means sold out, but if you want to get your pic of donuts, you better get there earlier. There were a couple of their signature Donuts that were already gone. My wife and I each had a latte, which was also delicious, and we shared four donuts. Wow! The donuts were delightful! Take a look at the photo

Bristol Donuts is makes the best donuts I've ever had. That's a big statement, but it's the absolute truth. They're rich, tasty, and satisfying in a way that's hard to describe unless you've experienced it. It's not about fancy flavors or weird toppings - you won't find green chule bacon donuts or gummy worms here. Instead, it's about flawless execution of old favorites, with enough variety to keep it from getting boring. If you haven't tried their donuts, you're missing out!

Quirky but awesome and unlike any other donut shop you've ever seen My favorite is the chocolate glazed...the quality, taste and texture of the chocolate glaze are unbeatable and unlike any other donut I've had. The yeast donut is also just incredible. Friendly service. There's a gorgeous patio for outdoor seating, or a charming indoor table, as well. The package deal of 2 donuts plus a coffe drink is definitely the way to go!
