Don?t let the nearly abandoned look of the buoying scare Im you away, this place has been turning out the areas best donuts for years. Staff is a fairly unfriendly, but you?re coming in for for the food, not the friendship. Donuts are great, breakfast sandwiches are solid. It?s a two-thumbs up sorta joint. Give them a shot if you?re downtown.

There is a lot about the history of this place on the web, so I won?t mention it, other than the fact that it has a rich history. The donuts were good the owner was super nice. Don?t let the look scare you off. Worth a stop on for carry out or dine in. Also it?s quite a bargain too!

Stopped for donuts around 8am, some of the donuts were stale tasting and not a great selection. Lady helping us was rolling her eyes and very rude. Skip it. Haven?t had Publix donuts but they can?t be worse.

Never judge this place by the outside. There are some spectacular donuts here. My favorite is the Vanilla Frosted Raised Doughnut. When I provided another woman a selection of our twelve donuts, She chose the same doughnut as well. I can't wait to come back and visit my relatives ... because I will have access to this donut shop.

Nice place, but my breakfast sandwich did not have the loaded bacon that other reviews stated. The pictures that I attached are from my breakfast spot in DC, Joe's Deli. I would have been impressed if they put half as much bacon as Joe. Both pictures are bacon egg and cheeses. Glad that they were open at 5am, but not impressed with the sandwich or the apple fritter. You can see for yourself but don't look to he wowed!!!

Looking for a replacement for gold star donuts since they closed. Therese are pretty good lots of cake donuts which I like. They were out of blueberry filled so that was disappointing. I have loved this donut shop for probably 10 of my 16 years of life. Ever since I was little my dad would take us for breakfast here, wether it was on the weekends or before a school day. I adore the women who run this place and the donuts NEVER disappoint. I recently went back and visited after not have been inside for a long time and it was so nostalgic. The donuts alone are worth the visit, but if you're in the mood for a cheap and tasty sandwich, they've got you covered (even if it is microwaved). Really good donuts! The customer service was great. We also tried their bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich which was also very tasty. I got there as soon as they opened and there was already several people waiting as well which is always a good sign tells you they're doing something good there. We will definitely be back!

Bradenton's favorite long time donut & coffee shop. Its Been there for many years and is as dated as its age but the donuts is what it's all about. They obviously start eary in the a.m. and many donut options to choose from. These are full sized donuts and not like the smaller ones that the donut chains ( dd ) serve. Easily 30% larger each and way more flavor! Definitely the freshest and most reasonable priced!

I enjoy bringing a box of donuts to work every year for every early birds. And after trying a few different donut shops, I found turners to be the best of all. Their sandwiches have a much better taste and look. And of course the donut variety is amazing. But of course everything has its flaws. My only problem with Turners Donut Shop is the distance from home. Which isn?t their fault. It?s been their for ages and my parents and older friends love them. Keep up the good work!

The donuts are great but the employees, including the owner, are not friendly at all. The owner saw me walk in and didn't bother to greet me. She continued to walk over and refill coffee instead of saying, "I'll be right with you". Maybe I'm expecting too much from a local business owner? All I know is that I would have gotten better customer service from DD.

What an incredible local gem in Bradenton! Donuts and other items on the menu are second to none and unique as can be. I highly recommend if you are new to the area that you make the extra drive to this special spot. It is such a treat and step back in time in a nostalgic way. I think anything you get, you will be very happy with. A true piece of Americana!

The owner is a rude inconsiderate lady ! We use to go there all the time until one day HER machine wouldn?t take our card and snatched our food and said nothing she could do in front of a child! I?ll take my business elsewhere and treat people kindly for Christ sake!

They have always been a staple here in town, but they have gone severely downhill in the last 18 months. In fact, I went there today to get a box of donuts for the office. I got two vanilla creme longjohns, along with some glazed and chcolate glazed. 1st she crammed them all into one small box, and when I went to eat one of the longjohns the vanilla cream was only on one side and bunched at the end not even a 1/4 of a teaspoon .. just poor attention to detail. And there customer service is curt at best.

Very mid donut place, was disappointed. Honestly dunkin is better. Long line, rude customers who took forever to order, and cashier was not the nicest. I?ll take my business somewhere that has better donuts, I see why they stopped getting favorite donut shop after 2013.

Great little donut shop. If you want a flavor filled donut experience, stop here. The apple fritter is the best. Other favorites at our house are their blueberry, sour cream, angel, and cherry donuts. The line gets long sometimes but they get through it in reasonable time. Worth the wait.

this place I tried I sat down at counter and was shocked to see German cockroaching going around coffee pot area and sink area I'm sure there are even more in the prep area. it grossed me out. I ended up leaving.i will never go back. I now go to Bradenton donuts. my family has a Diner up in Ohio not one Is cockroach.being clean and keeping food off floors and doing thing's proper ways. some people are just plum nasty.

I wanted to like this place, because I'd like to find a local donut shop that makes tasty, fluffy Donuts. When I got there on Sunday morning the parking lot was overflowing, people were standing in line to get in the door for orders, this was a hopeful sign. What a disappointment then, that the donuts were equal quality to Dunkin Donuts. They were tasteless bordering on stale. I'm sorry, I wanted to like this place but I just don't.

Sat at the counter which was apparently a mistake as they are more interested in serving the hordes of people coming in to the counter. The breakfast sandwich was good(although microwaved) however, after waiting 25 minutes while they served about 40 people who walked in to the counter, we gave up and went for donuts elsewhere. We used Turner's for a work event recently. On behalf of myself and about 100 other people that enjoyed the donuts - we can vouch that they are DELICIOUS! 20 dozen donuts were gobbled up very quickly. I've been coming here for LITERAL decades! I was born and raised here in the area and I've been to many different donut shops around the area and in different states I've visited. This is HOME. I love no donut shop more than THIS one. The food is great and the ladies who serve is are ALWAYS sweet. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Turner's is the spot! I live in Riverview and make it a point to stop by on my way to Anna Maria Island. The donuts are huge, and taste delicious. The prices are great. You can also get some great food, like breakfast sandwiches as well. They close early and they sell out pretty fast, so get there quickly.

I was a little skeptical, because I love Bradenton Donuts. But this place was so good! Really good donuts. I got the cinnamon roll and it was really good. Donuts are fresh, restaurant is clean. I only gave 4 stars bc the lady at the counter wasn't the nicest. She wasn't rude, she was just kinda... there. I had to get up and go ask for more coffee. And you only get 1 free refill. A local Mom and Pop Donut shop that has been around for decades. Has about 5 tables and a long sit down counter. Service is fast and friendly. Cheap, fast, and simple breakfast sandwiches (bacon ham n egg cheese, bagels, croissants, toasts etc). The donuts are always made daily. A local favorite for the morning on-the-go working types.

The place to go for freshly made donuts, twists and apple fritters. They have a decent selection of raised, cake and filled donuts but for the best selection you have to go early. Today I bought apple fritters for the husband, glazed for me and twists for my neighbors. All fresh and tasty. Service can be a bit slow as they usually only have 2 people out front dishing out donuts, waitressing and cashier-ing (is that a word?) but they are worth the wait.

I love Turner"s. The cake doughnuts have better flavor and texture than other shops. Doughnuts are always fresh. And they're local. Eat in is set now for physical distance. Take out quick and delicious.

Best donut shop around! The use of potato flower makes these donuts soft and delicious, and gives Turner donuts the supreme status in town. This Bradenton staple is a must try?at a minimum on a weekly basis.

I'm from Texas where we had donut shops like this everywhere. Very very hard to come by in Florida! Only dunkin everywhere. These donuts are fresh, large and taste great. Always have to stop in when I, passing through Bradenton. There's usually a line, but that's just because it's good!

I've lived in Bradenton for 40+ years and never had breakfast at Turner. I ordered an egg & bacon croissant with coffee and an apple fritter. The croissant was served within 90 seconds flat and tasted like it. I had to eat it fast, for as it cooled the croissant got harder and harder. I had to ask for a cup of water. A big orange building on the corner of 9th St. West and 9th Av.(aka MLK). The service is quick, the doughnuts are fresh. They also do various other things for breakfast but, donuts! The interior is a bit dated & dingy, an old-school donut shop. And the apple fritters always seem overcooked to me. I stop in way more than I should but not as much as I want too. A good balance, eh?
