This ?in the cut/window service? sweet treat place is great for if you?re in need of a treat or want to take a walk in west loop! My friend and I stopped here to get something for a walk in the neighborhood: we tried the salted caramel with snicker bites gelato and the strawberry lemonade Italian ice. Both were 10/10 delicious! The service was quick and of quality. It?s also such a cute shop to look at! Definitely will be back throughout the summer!

BomboBar is a must-hit spot if you?ve got a sweet tooth! I spent about $15 on a Cookie Monster Bomboloni and an iced caramel latte, and both were next-level good. The bomboloni was warm, fluffy, and stuffed with gooey blue cookie butter filling, topped with cookie crumbles?it was basically a dessert masterpiece. I?ve seen many people post this location and decided to give it a shot! Though, we had already ate and wasn?t hungry for some doughnuts I got a hot chocolate and my partner a gelato cookie sandwich. We both like it! It was very delicious! Next time we?re sure trying the doughnuts! Staff helped me out as it was my first time ordering and helped me create my order. Overall an above average dessert joint. Slightly on the pricey side but you pay for quality here!

Perfect for winter! Got the traditional hot chocolate and the S?mores hot chocolate. The area is a bit covered so you are not standing in the cold. It is a small space with about 6 stools and 2 small tables!

Came here just for the Bombolini!! I'd say it's best to share as it is a big portion and lots of sugar. A bit pricey for a doughnut but had tons of fun with the 'squeeze me' bottle. Worth going once if you near by in Chicago.

I ordered the double cheese Bomboburger with beacon and parmesan fries and four Bomboloni (Vanilla bean, Cherry cheese cake, Lemon Meringue and Fruity Pebbles& milk) with Caviar (I highly recommend Caviar it was fast and it has free delivery and discount for new users) the fries was delicious but not as crispy as fresh. BomboBar in West Loop?s a solid spot, grabbed a Bombolato and a single scoop of cappuccino gelato. Total was about $13 with a Siciliana Limonata. Bombolato was warm, doughy, and that bacon-sweet combo hit just right. Gelato was smooth and not overly rich. Chill sidewalk seating, fast service, and def a fun sweet treat, just wish they had more vegan gelato flavors.

The idea of this place is what took us there for my birthday. The prices are WAY to high for what you get but it is the theme and the experience you are paying for I guess. I love this place. Why have a Hot Chocolate when you can have a S'more HOTTER CHOCOLATE! Their Hot"ter" chocolate is the crazy stacking of sweet (your doctor & dentist don't recommend) things, and wow, was it a great experience and drink! Good news, they have recently installed a sheltered booth outside the hole in the rock, so you don't need to think twice about queuing, instagramming, and drinking this baby in the freezing windy Chicago winter weather! It was hard to find, we passed it and had to ask where it was, it's just a window on the street! They are part of the bar, but you order out if you just want dessert. The dough is very soft and fluffy, I love it! And it's really fun to add your sauce, we ordered salted caramel and Nutella, Nutella is not really Nutella, so I wouldn't recommend it, but the salted caramel was amazing. It's a fun experience and I would go back to try the different sauce and the ice cream when it's hot again.

Known for their hot chocolate and delicious bombolonis, Bombobar is a small ice cream, gelato and coffee shop near Fulton market. We tried the classic hot chocolate and build your owns. The build your own let's you pick the base chocolate and from a variety of toppings.

Came here twice in the past week (which shows how much I love this place). The first time I went was around 8pm on a weeknight, so the line wasn't that long, but right after dinner on a Saturday night, we waited probably 45 minutes for our dessert. While it's obviously not a cheap place for a casual dessert, you do pay for how aesthetically pleasing the dessert itself looks. I got bomboloni's both times around, which are round donuts that come with cream filling in a tiny bottle you can squeeze in yourself.

Unfortunately these donuts and gelato are just too much sweet for me! The donuts were okay, but pretty basic donuts, nothing special. The gelato was good, but the charcoal gelato didn?t have much flavor. I wouldn?t go back here, but that?s just my opinion. I gave them 4 stars because the staff was friendly, and the location is cool (it?s a walk up window).

The setup is cute, they close at 11pm but stop serving the main items at 9pm, which makes no sense. The classic hot chocolate and the chocolate donut were good, but pricey. I?ve heard good reviews about BomboBar but this wasn?t the experience I was hoping for.

One of the best hidden gem dessert spots around chicago! Their gelato is amazing! So creamy and flavorful. My favorites are pistachio, mint chip and malted chocolate. The serving sizes are also perfect! The gelato shakes are so good and I love the specials and seasonal flavors they have. Would highly recommend!

Super Good! There was a line it took us about 30 min. to get through the whole process, that was around 11pm that we went on a weekday. A very popular spot during nice weather nights. I came on a weeknight and it was still packed. The line was wrapped around the street. I think the ordering can be slightly more efficient but the desserts were ?Instagram worthy? and worth the wait. The shakes are good. The donuts were OK. If I go back it would be for the shakes.

I stop stop there in my "donuts tour" as I read really good reviews and nice pictures. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I've got the lemon curd and pistachio glaze and it was not good at all.....It came in a box and they have a peace of cardboard under the donuts and we almost eat it....

Beautiful Christmas decor!!!! Finally tried the famous bombolini and tried the charcoal Oreo gelato. Good thinking with the lamps for warmth. Wow. Take a look at this burger and shake. I've seen pictures online of this place, and I've been craving it for months. I finally went, and it delivered. The burger was pretty good, but the place definitely specializes in sweets. The shake, donut, cookie - they were all amazing. Seats are limited though, and service was (mildly) rude to me - hopefully it was just a rough day for them, because I'll be back.

Found this restaurant from IG and had to go. Ordered a cookie crumble hot chocolate and there were a few toppings missing. Even though it was a nice presentation, It was not worth $16. The hot chocolate was lukewarm and bland until I got closer to the bottom. My cousin got Gelato which she enjoyed with the caramel bottle. All together It was ok but maybe I'll stick to the Gelato next time.

This place is pure magic! The whole place has a really cool vibe to it. Thankfully they have heat lamps outside and we were able to get a seat right underneath one. This place is basically sugar heaven, and all of it was delicious! My friends and I got a bunch of different things so we could try a variety of treats. By far my favorite was the hot chocolate! Putting the whipped cream in a waffle bowl above the hot chocolate so it doesn't melt right away is absolutely genius. I will 100% be coming back here!

Cute little place for dessert. A friend's sweet tooth craving led us here. Quick service. We got the gelatos, berry mango sorbet was a bit sour, cookies and cream along with hazelnut stracciatella was fine.

It's definitely Instagram worthy, but nothing to write home about. We got there at 10pm and had to wait 10 mins to order. We got the fruity pebbles donut, s'mores donut, cherry cheesecake donut, and red velvet gelato. S'mores was my favorite, it came with a squeeze bottle of extra chocolate ganache. Don't think I would go back now that I've experienced it, but definitely go try it for yourself.

Really liked their charcoal orea ice cream flavor, very delicious! Wish they had a bit more fruity ice cream flavors on the menu to choose from too.

BomboBar does a fantastic job of catering to people of all kinds of food allergies and dietary restrictions. They boast a selection of dairy free, nut free, gluten free, and vegan options. Desserts are always tricky for me due to my severe nut allergy, but I was able to eat here! My Cookie Monster dough gelato and mini bombo were SO GOOD! The price is reasonable considering the area. My gelato and mini bombo were only $5. The bombolini was also delicious and came with a vanilla bottle of filling for $3.50.

I came here to get the bombolonis I kept seeing online. I was a bit confused on how to order, but you have to go to the window. The small bomboloni with the pipette was not how I received my order. Instead I received three bombolonis in a cardboard box and the Nutella sauce for dipping. Overall, they were tasty, especially when warm, but it didn't live up to my expectations. If you are looking for that dessert you saw online, you're not going to find it here currently.

Their donuts are crazy! We actually went gaga over it, so took some 4 flavoured donuts, which they neatly packed with separate fillers. I'm not a doughnut expert, but all I can say from experience was that, they were soft and easy going, less hard than Randy's doughnut for sure(if you had those in Cali), and definitely super filling. Definitely get a bombolini. Salted caramel was divine! It was, by far, what they excelled in. I also tried a create-your-own gelato shake. Bombobar's has the most authentic tasting Italian Gelato I've tasted in quite a while. My dog ?? and I just finished hiking through the West Loop farmer's ?? market nearby and needed some shade, water and Gelato. Stopped by the window in the side of the restaurant to grab one of their instagram-worth shakes. My friend and I each got different shakes but both were cloyingly sweet and were hard to finish. Flavor profiles were underdeveloped and overshadowed by the sugar content of the drink. Ice Cream filled Donuts! Milkshakes garnished with cookies AND donut holes! This place is outrageously decadent but delicious. The options are endless for combinations of donuts, ice cream, toppings and sauces. The valet (in front of sienna) was super nice and the desserts were delicious.

A little pricey for gelato but worth the wait in line. Ordered the coconut gelato (only dairy free option), and it had toasted coconut - the good kind. My friend ordered the doughnut, and even though he hates spending money on fancy food, he loved it and wanted to go back for more. The donuts taste good, just a little greasy. The custard is delicious. It goes down to 2 stars because it's extremely wasteful; 1 squeeze bottle to the trash for every donut sold to go, that's a disaster (they have recycling at the place but most likely no one that buys to go would recycle them)

It was good... Did not live up to the Instagram hype for me. A bit of a wait, which was also not worth it. The coconut gelato was pretty tasty, but the bombolini was actually terrible. Maybe they weren't fresh as this was later in the evening that we visited. I wouldn't discourage trying it, but I also probably wouldn't revisit.

My sister and I got the Hot Apple Cider and Smores Hot Chocolate and it was amazing. Though it was the coldest day in Chicago with a -15 wind level, it was worth it and I'm not one to stand outside. The customer service was also amazing.

I wanted so badly to take off a star for how expensive this place is, but I can?t because it?s so good. The treats are decadent but somehow not sickeningly sweet. They have convenient tablet ordering at the counter, friendly staff, a text notification system, and the flow of people makes it surprisingly easy to get a seat in the small outdoor seating area. The S'mores hotter chocolate was rich and satisfying, my only gripe is the pricing. You're paying 10 dollars mostly for the instagramability rather than the actual ingredients. Today I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to try my luck again This time the place was open and I ordered Salted Caramel bombolini and coffee.

Very decadent and over the top desserts and drinks. I would recommend the bombolini with Nutella and their hot chocolates. Might want to take it to go if you can as there isn't much seating.

While the menu items are aesthetically pleasing, the prices are not. The hot chocolates will run you around $12 & all you get is a small donut, some toppings & a nice photo before it all melts. The donut was hard & slightly stale & the hot chocolate tasted like Swiss Miss. The lines are long & there is barely any place to sit once you receive your items, & in the winter, the spot heaters are blasting on high, making some spots under the small tented area an absolute oven.

Amazing doughnuts with fillings. They have a big selection of flavors and the ones where you squeeze in your own filling are my favorite. You get exactly how much you want with each bite and there is more than enough for the whole doughnut. Vanilla bean custard was my favorite and the one in the picture.

BomboBar was pretty good. About $5 for a single scoop in a cup with one topping, it gets more expensive with more toppings. The single scoop is a great size. I got mint oreo and I thought it was lacking oreos, but overall good gelato. The cup was a little messy when they handed it to me, but that happens anyway when you eat ice cream. Its nothing spectacular, but I would recommend if you havent been.
