Some of the best raised doughnuts that I have ever had. We got the ham and cheese pretzel, pecan toffee, maple brown sugar, the coffee cake fitter and the sticky bun. The pretzel was a soft warm buttery combination of goodness with slightly crispy edges. Both the pecan and maple were amazing, the doughnuts were heavy in weight but fluffy with the texture. The toffee ended with the taste of toffee candy and the maple was just a simple sweet maple bar. The fritter was a bust, it was dry and lacked any real fl
The place is tiny and very cute. The staff member was also really kind and engaged in some small talk with my dad, and the donuts are GOOOD. I will say they're not like fluffy and airy but more fluffy and moist, and honestly the donuts could be shared between 2 people. They're very filling and not too sweet. The coffee was also good quality according to my father, so no complaints.
The whole place is such a vibe! All the doughnuts are super fresh and the coffee is amazing!!
We stopped here as the last stop before we headed back to Georgia. It?s acute little bakery with quite a few option. The cashier was helpful and polite. My husband got an Apple Fritter, which he enjoyed, while I got an OG (glaze) and banana pudding. The donut was very good, but the banana pudding was top tier. It was delicious and rich tasting, and made me wish that I bought two.
If we had only gotten our mushroom (pictured) and ham/cheese pretzels this place would get 5 stars as after toasting they were delicious. We also got a strawberry donut with sprinkles and it was just too thick and doughy for our liking. Heads up, when paying with card it defaults to a % tip.
It is the only vegan donut place in Charleston I could find (sad face). Got the vegan apple fritter. I liked how I can take bite-sized pieces off of the fritter. Flavor was good. Not a lot of seating. Only one bathroom.
Some of the best vegan donuts(and apple fritters mm) in the country. Always come here when in town(and always bring a cup for some yummy drinks too)! Remember though that as a vegan all basic cereal is not free from animal products!! So they have a few with fruity pebbles and what not but if you truly don?t eat animal product then steer clear of those ones. Anyway keep up the yumminess and cute vibe!
Delicious! Hot coffee, fresh pastries, and great service, what more could you want on a Sunday morning.
BKeDSHoP??? Absolutely!!! This incredible bakery is a must-stop! You have to try every kind of donut they make. The Ho-Ho?s are massive. What is my favorite? The mozzarella pesto pretzel! It is simply amazing. Plus, they have delicious coffee drinks, and the service is friendly.
My friend said these were her favorite donuts in Charleston, so we decided to pick some up when we were visiting her. We got a half dozen donuts with Cookie Butter, Pumpkin Spice, Pecan Toffee Crunch, Apple Pie, Cereal Milk, and Autumn Nut Crunch (vegan). I really liked these donuts. My favorite flavors were the Apple Pie and Cereal Milk followed closely by Autumn Nut Crunch and Pecan Toffee Crunch. The Pumpkin Spice and Cookie Butter were not as flavorful as I would have wanted. They have quite a few ve
Super cute place. The banana pudding was bomb. The donuts were good. The hoho is alright. I did not have coffee but it?s a cute little place to have something sweet . The dough in the donuts is so good.
Absolutely phenomenal donuts! One of my favorite spots in Charleston. All the donuts are priced individually, about $3-$4 per donut, and the selection is awesome. I went an hour before close and there were still fresh donuts available, plenty to choose from as well. It?s a bit spendier than a chain like Dunkin?, but you get what you pay for. What you?re getting makes the price very reasonable. They have boxes for half dozen and a dozen donuts as well! Staff was very friendly, the donuts were amazing.
Loved these donuts!! Very dense but great taste and topping selection. Only quarrel is they run out of popular donuts pretty early in the day. Wish they would make more of them.
Only place around I know of with delicious vegan donuts. Love this lemon poppyseed donut. The only qualms I have is that they're always out of donuts by 12pm but they're open until 4pm. Not everyone gets up early and likes to compete for donuts. Would love if y'all could make even just a small amount more to last a little longer throughout the day.
CUTE SHOP, GREAT STAFF!! Donuts were creative but they use a brioche dough that makes a denser donut and I prefer a lighter yeast donut. Never had a brioche donut before - I?m sure this would be delightful for some people, just not my thing. Pop tart was very good.
This place is AMAZING! We got their incredible cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip waffle donuts, handmade strawberry ?pop tart?, and a mozzarella & pesto pretzel and they were all delicious! Madison was great with the recommendations and service. Highly recommend 10/10
Got the Autumn Nut Crunch (v) and Cinnamon Sugar donuts. Both were delicious, light and airy! I recommend trying one vegan and one standard donut to compare both types. The nut donut was one of my favorites ever! Not too too sweet. Cute shop as well!
I'm not that guy to write reviews. Everybody needs to know how delicious these Donuts are hands down baked Donuts are the best donuts I've had in my entire life. I want to move here from Utah just for this donut experience everyday
Very tasty, unique little donut/coffee shop. I ordered a lavender iced latte and it was delicious! I didn't try any donuts or sweets because I wasn't feeling up to it that day, but my friends absolutely loved the sweets they ordered. I hope to go again if I'm ever in town again.
I love being able to provide my dairy allergy kiddo with options! He had at least 6 vegan donuts to select from. We spent a little time in the beautiful seating area taking a break from our day trip before heading back out. We hope to visit again on our next trip.
Cool little boutique donut shop. They've got some really cool flavors that I've never seen anywhere else. Definitely have to be 'baked' to think come up with a jalapeno-strawberry glazed donut! ??. Great coffee too. Fun little place.
Hip donut shop/coffee house that does gourmet square donuts. I tried the Mexican Hot Chocolate donut, which is a dark chocolate -covered donut dusted in cayenne pepper. It was very nice with just a little bit of heat. I never thought to add spice to a donut before, but I would definitely get this one again.
A cute little doughnut shop that serves excellent coffee and tea. The doughnuts were extreme. They had fun flavors choices that were awesome and super yummy. Definitely will be returning to try the other flavors. My favorite thing was the cherry blossom iced tea.
This place is amazing! I got the cinnamon bun cold brew and some pastries. I gotta tell you, the cinnamon bun cold brew was fantastic! Don't sleep on their coffee. The donuts and pastries are delicious. I'm in town for the weekend but going back tomorrow
This little place is great -- especially if you're a refugee from the Marriott coffee. You can walk in 5 minutes - go to the back parking lot (right out the door near the elevators) and there is a connection to a tan brick building.
They have a smooth but strong coldbrew and a really good glazed donut (OG) its soft and tasty. Its different than your average donut, they have a good recipe.
Really disappointed with my Uber eats order. Did not get 4/6 of the flavors in the description, and paid extra for specialty flavors- which is even more annoying. Totally understand if things aren?t available (I order from donut/ bake shops all the time on delivery apps and haven?t had this problem), but then you replace those items with equally priced items or other specialty flavors? or you contact the customer or you charge them less. Also you also don?t put 4/6 of the same plain flavors (not even specia
Tasty, chewy donut. I had the strawberry and sprinkles. They also had a pretty good vegan selection so I like what?s happening here.
Nice new building but donuts I got last Friday were day old. Super stale. We ended up tossing. Other reviews look great so maybe they had bad day.
Nice added bakery to downtown Charleston. The apple fritter and vanilla bean latte were very good. I did not like seeing the flies swarming around the pastries.
Hard not to like their gourmet donuts. Pecan toffee was exceptionally flavorful. Definitely worth the trip to find them.
Got the Cinnamon sugar donut, and the vegan autumn nut crunch, and both were really delicious! The donuts were so soft and airy and fluffy at the same time! They weren't overly sweet - very well balanced!
Donuts and chocolate chip cookie were very good!! Great selection and fast service too!
Pleasant experience with barista! A little hard to get to, but the donuts were incredible! I like that there was a unique set of flavors. I tried a french toast donut and an apple fritter.
Thank you so much for labeling the donuts for me! We had never been before, so this was very helpful. The donuts were fantastic, nice and fluffy and such great flavors. Definitely a crowd pleaser.
The donuts were a bit too doughy for my liking. Great atmosphere though and fun flavors to choose from!
The donuts were okay taste wise. Nothing to rave about. They were a good size. Everyone liked their drinks and donuts. Took a while to be served because she was taking a long phone order. She was very friendly.
The donuts were a little more bread-y than I prefer, but the flavors were great. The standout was the ham and cheese pretzel which was perfectly salty, soft, on the inside, and a bit crunchy on the outside. It was a little flakier than some pretzels, but I liked that. I would definitely come back for savories, and the ho ho's looked awesome too!
A must-stop! The donuts from BKedSHoP are SO yummy and a little adventurous! We ordered the animal cookie, coconut cream, cookies & cream, cereal milk, french toast waffle, and maple bacon--as well as a pop tart. I was a little weary about the french toast waffle donut at first, mainly because it has cream inside, but OH MY GOODNESS. You HAVE to try it! So delicious--could've eaten a whole box of just those!! Whichever donuts you end up picking, be sure to add on a poptart--that was probably my favorite par
By far hands down best donut shop. It was my weekly routine to visit every Friday or Saturday morning. My family loved going here every time they visited. Everything is tasty: donuts, poptarts, pretzels, cream top drinks. I just moved away and will definitely miss this place.
I tried the chocolate ganache and chocolate sea salt and both were dense, not very moist and low flavor. If you like cake-like donuts, you may like these. I don?t live in town; otherwise, I?d probably give it another try during the earlier part of the day to see if they?re more moist then.
These donuts are so unique and yummy too! They have a variety of flavors like lemon poppy seed as well as traditional flavors. It's always clean inside, and the employees are very friendly. I haven't tried anything other than the donuts, but everything I have tried has been great.
We went here for vegan donuts for our anniversary. We purchased one of each (which they offered 7 at this trip). Each was delicious and I?ve had normal donuts in the past and my husband eats normal ones and could not tell a difference they were that good.
Instead of wedding cake for our eco friendly boho island wedding, we had donuts from BKeD SHoP, they were a huge hit and absolutely fabulous! Thank you to the owner and staff for working with me on planning and choosing unique flavors. We couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out!
Awesome selection of baked goods! The donuts were fantastic, cinnamon rolls and pretzels and pop tarts (more of flakey pastry) all delicious. Make sure to get there early for full selection!!
I went there for donuts based on a trip advisor's recommendation, and it?s honestly not the best. They had only five different flavors of donuts, and they tasted average. The staff are friendly, though.
Donuts were very good. Very filling. Coffee was hot and tasted great.
Cute little shop! Didn?t have all the donut flavors available but the ones we did get were great! We always stop here when we?re in Charleston!
Nice little shop with plenty of variety to choose from. Good coffee. The doughnuts are very heavy though, apparently made from a brioche dough that is chewy, not light and airy. I bought a sticky bun and brought it home. I weighed it and it was 3/4 of a pound. One bun. I was afraid of what I would feel like if I ate even some of it.
Cute place, good coffee. donuts are not your traditional yeast type fluffy donut. They?re very heavy and chewy and not very sweet, and very expensive. Approximately $44 for a dozen donuts? just not it for us unfortunately.
Donuts sitting on a dirty counter with flies crawling on them,,, yum. Lost my appetite before I could order.
Coffee was fantastic, donut options were plentiful and pretty. Texture is a little unusual for donuts, but they tasted great.
Very cute little shop - if you are craving a good pastry or donut and want to buy a plant, this is your place! ??
We went on 8/9 between 130-215pm there was one worker working there which was fine. When me and my family of 4 walked in we werent greeted ( and i dont want to assume why ) and we were told that they didnt have many donuts. My daughter and son ordered theirs but when she gave me my daughters she didnt say that the one on the counter was the very last donut type my daughter wanted. Instead she just takes it off the counter, puts it in a bag and thats about it. No discount for it being the last ( and dry ) on
Great donuts! Large selection of donuts including filled varieties. Service was very friendly and the space is bright and airy with a clean, modern feel.
While vacationing in Myrtle Beach, we decided to spend a day in Charleston. I had heard this place had a great donughts, so we figured we?d give it a try. The cinnamon roll was massive and delicious. The iced coffees were amazing. Wish I could go back in the morning for another one.
The donuts are so tasty but the Ham and Cheese Pretzel is life! It's so soft, salty, cheesy just devine! A local shop that is taotally worth trying to find a parking spot for!
Went here for the first time today upon my bfs request. The woman helping was helpful and very patient with me as I figured out what we both wanted. I got the chocolate chip cake special as it was the only cake donut they offer. I do wish they had more cake style as they?re my favorite. The donut is great and I?m obsessed with the cold brew flavor. Keep it up!
Decent lil spot with a nice aesthetic. Kind of expensive. Definitely paying for aesthetic and atmosphere. Not really a place to my taste. Donuts are definitely decent.
These donuts are the second best I've ever had. I should actually say second favorite, as my first pick is just a style preference. If my favorite is a 10, these are a 9.9. They are dense - almost like a brioche. And they are AMAZING. Friendly staff, and the coffee is excellent as well. Plus, there's parking available which is hard to come by in this town..
Delicious donuts, cronuts and more! Not oily, with full flavor and yes, they also have a Nutella donut!
Having a dairy allergy is tough at times and I miss being able to eat donuts. This place has the best vegan donuts I?ve ever had! Whenever we visit the area to see our friends we make sure we stop here!
Do yourself a favor and get a doughnut here. It was so tasty that I went for a run to burn calories and went back for a second doughnut
Drove from Bluffton to try the donuts and when we arrived around 2pm basically everything was sold out . While I understand that you bake fresh - I wouldn?t have expected to have seen you sold out by 2pm with 2 hours of business still to go . Hopefully we will be able to try out your ?amazing? baked goods in the future but unless we knew we could get there early we wouldn?t make the trip again .
Amazing rich and delightfully baked donuts. One will instantly fill you up for all of breakfast. I had a plain Nutella donut but it was to die for. The service is lovely and the plant section in the shop is adorable! Make this trip it is definitely worth it!
Butter cookie, apple fritter, and maple brown sugar. ?? vegan friendly options
I really liked the atmosphere, it is a very relaxing and chic place. Their coffee is pretty good. I tried their original glazed and maple sugar donut and they were pretty decent but they were a bit dry even after asked for them to be heated. For the price of one donut for $3+ I was expecting them to be better.
Been dying to go here ever since a friend told me about it. Stopped in today after receiving some not so hood medical news from my Dr, so I needed something sweet. Shop is SO CUTE, with tons of plants. Was expecting the person working there to give me a run down, since it was my first time. She was nice, but completely silent until I started promoting her. Asking her what her favorites were. She told me a couple options but that was it. Was expecting a liiiitle bit more since this place is so unique but the
We had a donut and a pretzel. The pretzel was good, and I really wanted to love the donut, they looked awesome. They are a different texture than traditional donuts, very thick, almost more like very thick slightly sweet bread than a donut. The drip coffee was good.
The BEST!! I love everything about these donuts. They are not overly sweet and the density/texture is perfect! I have never had a donut quite like these. The coffee is also incredible- I come for coffee at least once a week. The location is not ideal and parking can be a pain but it is still worth it and has not stopped me yet ??
I passed through Carolina, on my way back to Atlanta. I stopped at this bakery shop and purchased me a few pastries. The OG was amazing in the Swiss roll????????
What can I say, the food is delicious and sophie is as sweet as the donuts she serves! My first time there and will definitely be back. Thank you sophie for the great experience. Was having a rough last 2 days and you made it a little better with your service and smile.
These are some of my favorite donuts in Charleston! If you like doughy (vs cake donuts) donuts this is your place! Parking was easy to find right outside on a Saturday morning. The flavors offered are out of this world. They even have homemade pop tarts. My friends also loved it- even the cake donut lover! Will definitely be back to try their next creations.
This place was amazing. They have their donuts laid out for you to choose from and they all looked incredible. Got the sprinkles with chocolate and at first the host messed the order up and gave us sea salt covered donuts. Once we corrected the order, we found the donuts to be very good and rich in flavor. I had one of their chocolate chip cookies in which case it was thick and delicious. My wife had a pretzel and their salted caramel macchiato which she said was delicious. The atmosphere was awesome, they
My husband and I live above this place and eat here all the time. Always a great experience. The coffee is amazing (I recommend the lavender latte) and the donuts are also delicious. My husbands favorite is the strawberry frosted or any fritter and mine the OG and cereal and milk. They also have a selection of vegan donuts which is nice if that?s your style. This is a go to when we have visitors as well. So yummy!
We recently visited and spent a fortune on donuts to have something fun and special for a family birthday. Sadly, the donuts were disappointing. My husband and son had to microwave them to soften them. They are not light/airy and the only flavor is on the top. They look pretty but they are tasteless. It?s very disappointing because I REALLY wanted to like these! The other issue was the staff person. She was working a Saturday...guessing she wasn?t too excited about that or had stayed up too late. She never
$4 per donut (avg). No discount on a dozen. Donuts are too big (can't take a bite without your entire face getting sugar, choc, or whatever your poison). No parking. No reimbursement on parking if you use garage (if you are in and out it is free, just don't stay to have a coffee). Love the fact that it is in a mixed use building (ground floor retail). Better hope that the tenants can support this because as a regular donut purchaser for the office, I won't be back. I'm sure the concept isn't just focused ar
Very nice atmosphere and laid out well. Service was good too. The doughnuts were definitely on the dry side with the dough:frosting ratio very off. More of a glaze than a frosting that doesn?t pair as well with such thick doughnuts. We tried the strawberry, coconut cream, and pecan. They definitely weren?t terrible, but definitely weren?t fantastic either.
Amazing! I had been wanting to try their donuts for quite some time now, and am so glad I did! They had a good variety of vegan donuts, which was initially what brought us in, the jelly filled, vegan donut was the best I've ever had! They also had a good variety of soft pretzels too.
The building is beautifully decorated inside and things are arrange so the space is open and airy. Once you walk in, everything smells amazing. For my vegan friends, this place is an absolute gem! There are 6 flavors of vegan donuts, there are vegan milks for coffee, salads and even vegan sandwiches in the works. Everyone who works here was super friendly and knowledge about their products. The chocolate strawberry vegan donut was amazing, and the coffee was so fresh and flavorful!
This donut shop has its pros and cons... I ordered 6 assorted donuts, an apple fritter, and a special latte. The donut flavors were interesting and tasty however the texture of the donuts were quite bread like and somewhat dense. The apple fritter contained zero apples which was quite disappointing as the dough and glaze were delicious. I would have loved some apple pieces in my apple fritter. As for the special latte I would say it was good but nothing special. Customer service was good and the girl behind
Best. Donuts. Ever. I used to live in Columbia and would always pick up a donut at Soda City. Now, living in Pittsburgh, every time I'm in Charleston I go out of my way to stop by and pick up donuts. I love the rotating selection and new flavors are always fun! Staff are really nice and the shop itself is so bright and open. The coffee is also *really* good.
Delicious!!! We had the worms & dirt donuts and the ham and cheese soft pretzel, warmed up. My only recommendation would be to add a bit more cream in the donut. I was a little disappointed that there wasn?t more. Otherwise, loved it and would definitely go back.
Favorite doughnuts in the area! Disappointed to find them of doughnuts by 1p. Mount Pleasant location has a better atmosphere.
Lots of vegan choices. Good flavor. Decaf espresso was good. Hubby had regular doughnuts and says they were good too. Nice area and cute little shop. Thank you!
Another pretentious bakery that serves over priced dried goods. I took my family in for some donuts last time I was in Folly on vacation. FIRST OFF?I don?t mind spending more money on anything that is of a higher quality than its competition. I would much rather spend more money on something that stands out and is better versus saving money on a run of the mill product. If given the option, I will always go for the more expensive, better quality item over its less expensive counterpart. But?.their donuts la
Two things first; 1. I travel a LOT for work and 2. I have an infatuation for doughnuts. This place may be my favorite doughnut shop I've found in America. Luckily for me I was traveling with family this time so I got to try six different donuts this am. The apple fritter is for sure the best fritter I've ever had. Ever-so crispy on the exterior, perfectly dense dough, and non overpowering glaze. The Bavarian creme was awesome; much more complex a filling than just 'pudding'. It was a mild vanilla bean c
Gah, I wanted to like this place. The donuts were super expensive, but I held out hope that they would be worth it. The ambiance of the place is great and the woman who was working was super nice and knowledgeable. The toppings were delicious- but the donut base, the square plain base that is the base of all their donuts was extremely lackluster. It was thick (too chewy), doughy, tasteless, and detracted from the nice finish.
