Bernal Bagel & Donut

Make sure to check the expiration date on food, the drinks in the fridge have been expired every time i have gone in. Also, this is the amount of jelly in their jelly donuts. I want to support small businesses, but i also dont want expired food :( the old lady just waves you away when you bring it up. Ill delete the review when i see the place get cleaned up a bit.

I love their breakfast sandwiches and donut holes! I've only tried breakfast sandwiches with bagels so far, but I'm sure they are amazing on croissants too. You can choose your protein (bacon, ham, turkey, etc.), and the sandwich comes with egg and cheese. I like how they perfectly season the egg and make it fluffy. This place has been open for as long as I can remember... back in high school, my mom would treat my sister and me to their delicious croissant sandwiches once a week for lunch. While I am no longer living in the area, I always make the effort to stop by when I am visiting family and friends! I am a big fan of their croissant sandwiches. I went in around the afternoon and was greeted by a very sweet lady. I?m pretty sure she was the owner of the shop. I decided to get the Kona Coffee Frappe and it was amazing, i think the coffee is her specialty :) she also gave my brother and i two tasty donuts. i recommend!

Good value bagel sandwich shop. It?s dingy looking and not even sure if Bernal is the right name cuz it only says bagel and donut on the outside. But the food is actually really good! The bagels looks like they homemade (not sure) - the pictures are all faded but the bagel sandwiches are good. I got bacon egg bagel and it was delicious. The crab sandwich had a lot of veggies which seemed fresh. Go for the bagels, the donuts look just standard.

Came early morning- younger lady had such a nasty attitude. Donut wasn?t the greatest, bagel was alright. Will not be ordering here again. Other options in the nearby area.

My handicapped father and my family went in to order excited to try food from a local foodie and my dad asked for hot chocolate again my dad tries to speak his best English and I understand the lady is Vietnamese so there was a cultural language barrier she told my dad really loud and rudely said I told you NO and it shocked me and my mom and we told her that?s rude customer service especially yelling infront of other customers we felt very embarrassed and left thinking what we did wrong so just tread caref

Wanted to support a local business, but the bagel was stale and did not come with much cream cheese, the donut was also stale and dry. At least it was inexpensive

Family owned Havent had much donuts but Good quality drinks and sandwiches Highly reccomend This is the "Kona Frappe" only one of its kind ive found so far in California that tastes like Hawaii coffee its great

I can't believe that no one has made a review on the excellent smoothies here! I have gotten mango smoothies from many many boba places and I can assure you this takes the cake tenfold! I highly recommend!!

These guys are an entirely family owned and operated place, and they are just delightful. I chat with the older lady who works the counter, and the girl that makes the sandwiches always makes them delicious and fast! The coffee was lukewarm. The French toast has a taste of trace of plastic. The muffin is a little dry. It looks like Costco muffin.

Local bagel shop that my family eat Saturday breakfast for more then 20 years. We also have tradition to eat breakfast there before going for any road trip. Yes, they are that good. Place is not posh, but bagels are great. I would recommend breakfast bagel with eggs and be ham on plain bagel. Donuts are ok. There are definitely better places around, but not for bagels.

The best croissants I have ever eaten!! The doughnuts and bagels are delicious as well and the customer service is excellent! My partner and I stopped by for breakfast treats while we were visiting Santa Clara and it was so delicious, we came back for lunch sandwiches and coffee the next day. I have been dreaming about the croissants and refreshing Vietnamese iced coffee ever since.

I thought it was really good, enough for me to go back a second time...and I plan to go a third time. Bagels are really good from there, just ask them not to overkill it with cream cheese though in case you don't like a lot. Plus they have a variety of flavors. The donuts are delicious and fresh. Customer service is terrible, like I was wasting her time for not buying a dozen. Also, doesn't change gloves or wash hands between cleaning and serving donuts... Luckily she used tongs or I would've left. I regret even going there again... In the past, sandwiches were as good as at any donut shop, but others have nicer service, better hygeine, and are cleaner. Distasteful experience, never going back.

Excellent donut spot! Cute place and great menu variety. The croissants are delicious and buttery and the donuts are perfect. One of the few spots to get donuts around the Homestead Kaiser area.

Driven by this place at least a hundred times and I have said "I'm going to try it sometime". Today I tried it and I wasn't disappointed. I tried their donuts and they were fabulous. One of the best I have ever had! The maple bar's were great... not greasy like the shop down the street. I will be back many more times.

This place is borderline disgusting. You walk in and instantly get the sense of everything being dirty. Spider webs and flies on donut, tables, windows, everywhere! Every table was full of crumbs. The fridge had all kinds of residue on it. Almost all lightbulbs are missing or broken. While I ordered, I really started wondering how much they value cleanliness when preparing food. This place has extremely good food. Donuts, bagels, the breakfast bagel sandwiches, etc etc. I have been coming here for several years and I think it's run by a family but I could be wrong. I can't get over how good their donuts are!!! If you're lucky enough to come in on a day when they have the French Crullers, get one! They are amazing!

I take monthly trips to the Kaiser across the street, and I always make time to come by and grab the pastrami on onion with some tea on the side - light, yet satisfying. Pretty diverse menu with good options, and it's always super quick and courteous service. This is for sure going to be my go-to when I'm in the area!

This is literally my favorite sandwhich shop. Any time I'm close I have to stop. They are CONSISTANTLY FRESH, well put together and awesome. I love that they put cucumbers and sprouts as well as all the basics. Its a step above. Quality. Cant get enough!

The employees at this donut shop were so rude. The first woman ignored my sister?s request twice. The second woman was so impatient and didn?t even give me my maple donut, for which she charged me for. I?ll never go to this place again, and I most definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.
