Best cake donuts! As a self proclaimed donut officiando, these are my favorite cake style donuts. They literally are like little cakes with each bite delivering moist cake. Depending on what you order, the inside fillings are either in the middle or within the cake itself. Super billowy in texture and mad flavorful. Bites of heaven. The crunch on the iced donuts are perfectly satifying. I never order just one, it's gotta be a mix and let me tell you, Beacon is always consistent! Worth the line, don't hesita

Cool alley entrance. I can see why it would suck in the summer because it is an alley, but the walk up window was super noticeable and the person at the window was super friendly. I got the strawberry shortcake and some donut holes. Super great flavors and reasonable prices. I much prefer cake over yeast donuts and this hit the spot. Great strawberry flavor, if a little sweet. This is a scrumptious donut takeaway place tucked in the alley. Lots of unique flavors and regular flavor of donuts, and the presentation of each of them are beautiful. I can't say if all of them are worth the hype given they're $5 a piece, but the extra splurge for the vanilla cronut seems like it could be worth it to some. Order online to skip the line, enjoy! This is a stand, so there is no place to eat; prep with the weather to stand in line.

This donut shop has a very cool location in an alley off Halsted & Armitage in the LP neighborhood. There is no seating available but this place is worth the visit!! What a fantastic find! A small little hole in the way donut shop literally in an alley. Was a bit skeptical at first but these donuts are FANTASTIC. My favorite was the vanilla bean cronut, I could have eaten 6 of them. We also got the blueberry donut (close second), Boston cream (usually my favorite but this one was mid), and a chocolate Oreo one or something. Highly recommend anyone and everyone stops here and try the donuts.

These are the absolute best vegan doughnuts in the city bar none. We tested an entire dozen and were thoroughly impressed with all, but especially the brioche doughnuts, cronut, blueberry pancake, and oreo old fashioned. Beacon Doughnuts is amazing! Such high quality and delicious donuts! I like how unique some are, but even the classics like the chocolate glaze are so good. I see where raised glazed got its name from - it is the thickest glazed donut I?ve ever had! It was really tasty, but the donut was not warm so it didn?t have that wow first impression like a Krispy Kreme donut leaves you with. If it was, it would?ve easily been a 5/5. I absolutely loved this place! I'd have to say it served the best donuts I've had in quite some time. I tried all 12 flavors with my friends, and each one was a delightful treat. I got the vanilla cronut, oreo something and original glazed. None of them were very good, to be honest. The oreo one had a gross after taste. The cronut was also off texture and tastewise. I have been here on other occasions when the donuts were better but they seem to not be consistent. They're also pretty pricey compared to other places.

Phenomenal tasting donuts! There wasn't a huge variety when I got there - about four or five different donuts. I ordered three of them: lavender vanilla, cookies and cream, and s'mores. All of them were amazing!! The only thing I wish is that they served brewed coffee - they do provide americanos - but the cups are a little small. Definitely would come back for the donuts. :)

I drove all the way to Beacon Donuts from out of town, specifically to try their cronuts. I even called ahead to preorder, only to be told when I got there?at noon?that they were already out and weren?t going to be making any more for the day. They don?t close until 2 PM, but apparently they just make a set amount of donuts and that?s it. No flexibility, no real effort to accommodate customers, and no apology or attempt to make it right. Best Vegan donuts in Chicago. They rotate their flavors pretty often, according to season and sometimes just randomly, so there's always new flavors to discover. A bit expensive (but what isn't in Lincoln Park ??), but worth it. Also their spot in the alley is absolutely stunning little place. Very nice people too.

I think it?s super fun that it?s hidden in an alley - a literal hidden gem. My favorite donut they make is the Double Chocolate + Sea Salt? it is decadent and INCREDIBLE. Otherwise I love trying their temporary/seasonal flavors - this place really knows how to put a fun twist on donuts!

Love this place!! There are many options to choose from and they are all vegan! There is a mix between the cake style and yeast raised so something for everyone. My personal favorite are the peppermint and carrot cake which are both seasonal and then the Boston cream which they have all of the time!

I ordered some doughnuts from here for a birthday surprise for some friends. The staff were really friendly and helpful, even offered to deliver the doughnuts for me (I live in the UK so it would have been a bit out of my way). Though I didn't get to try the doughnuts myself, I'm told that they were the best in Chicago, and possibly even the best they've ever had!
