They reopened it and changed their recipe. I?ve ordered the Benedict in this restaurant for more than 10 times. It was pretty good and I really enjoyed it. Now they renamed it to classic Benedict. They replaced muffin with biscuit, bacon with ham. The eggs are smaller. The dish is smaller. I?m super disappointed and I don?t think I will go to this club anymore, at least for next few years.

I had a really good time at Bassett Street Brunch Club. I love to eat steak and eggs and they made it RIGHT! It came with a side of chimichurri which was amazingggg. It also came with some seasoned potatoes and a couple of pieces of sourdough toast. Overall the meal was fantastic. I was not even able to finish it all so I had some very yummy leftovers.

Was in Madison over the weekend looking for a vegan breakfast. Bassett Street has several options, so went with the Vegan American. Overall, the experience was wonderful - absolutely loved the atmosphere, especially on a typically chilly Madison winter day. The food was plentiful and good, but not quite great - loved the scramble and the thick toast, while the potato seasoning was very tasty it lost flavor before the large potato wedge was finished, and the veggie spices didn?t resonate. Definitely plan to

Every time I tried to visit, the wait was anywhere from 40 mins to 1.5 hours. I also called them multiple times to ask about the wait time, but they never answered. The baked potatoes on the side were all right. I wish they had more seasoning. The Savory French Toast was a bit too salty for my taste, and the Hot Tot burrito was good but just a standard breakfast burrito. Overall, I?d rather go to a brunch spot with little to no wait because it set our expectations too high.

We had the chicken and a biscuit and Bassett Street eggs (sausage, mushroom on foccacia). The food was so good- very flavorful and beyond filling! It is one of my favorite breakfasts I've had. Our server (Katie, I believe) was a gem- very helpful and attentive. We went on a Monday morning during the winter and were seated immediately.

Visiting Madison for the first time and stopped in at the Bassett Street Brunch Club for breakfast, and WOW! The food was amazing! Everything was so fresh and the servings are generous. Our server Kate was amazing and the overall experience was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend stopping here for a delightful breakfast!

Long wait for a table. I know I didn?t order typical breakfast food they offer, but how can you messed up salad so hard. The veggies were so not fresh and started to change color already. Grated cheese was super hard and stale. Salmon was so overcooked and dry I almost choked on my first bite. Considered the quality of food, the wait and the price, there?s no way I?m coming back here .

They recently reopened after a renovation. The new space is bright and open but the design does allow it to get noisy when the place is busy (which is pretty much every weekend morning). The food is still solid after reopening. Strongly recommend the pancakes with walnuts and bananas, but fair warning they're huge. My partner got two full meals out of them.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat for any meal. The food quality has gone downhill a bit, but it's still mostly delicious. The pancakes are a hit with my family. I miss the arugula they used to put on the savory French toast. They still have the best brunch cocktails!

Overall, food was decent. Only thing I?d strongly recommend the pancakes - they?re awesome. Otherwise, the rest of the food was okay. The staff were friendly and the portions were generous! We?d come back again to try the classic breakfast meals.

Food was awesome. Service was great. Really liked the place nice for a meal it to have some drinks.

This was my third visit to this restaurant. On my first trip, I had a great breakfast and left impressed. Sadly, my second visit fell short, and my most recent experience was downright disappointing. The fries and iced Horchata Blanca were the only parts of the meal I genuinely enjoyed. We began with the cheese curds, which were okay, but there was a random fried vegetable mixed in. My girlfriend, who usually loves their oatmeal cr?me br?l?e, was let down when it arrived without the signature caramelized s

The chocolate hazelnut donut is supreme!!! Also, the harvest hash was absolutely delicious and refreshing!!! On top of that the jam is seriously the best I've ever had! Highly recommend giving this place a try. The staff is also super sweet!

Service was great. The issue was the food, there is no love, passion or even seasonings in their food. I don't know how you can ruin avocado toast but they did it. Our French toast didn't even come with powdered sugar on top. If anything I would have rather cooked breakfast at home than spend the money eating here. I'm so serious the food was so bland it made me sad eating it.

Friday morning this place was busy, but not packed. We received quick help from the host/hostess. Our server was great!

We are visiting Madison and found this brunch place and we got lucky to bar seating right away. They have a long list of items that you can choose from. We ordered chicken on a donut and a burrito. I actually like burrito better as it contains eggs, potato tarts and cheese but overall just giving me average impression on flavors.

Best breakfast we?ve had downtown Madison. We had lemon pancakes and regular pancakes with potatoes, eggs and bacon. Coffee was great as well too. Can?t wait to come back and try a donut! Had a little bit of a wait at 9:30 AM, but they have the text waitlist so it?s not bad. It?s connected to the hotel next door so that is kinda strange, but everything was excellent!

Was here a while back, and absolutely loved it! Had brunch with a friend and my toddler and the environment and food were wonderful for the adults as well as my son! Pictured is the farmers hash and bloody Mary! Both were absolutely incredible. The farmers hash came with so much food, I was unable to finish the plate. Everything was so fresh! Definitely would recommend and cannot wait to come back.

We ordered the raspberry iced tea and a root beer and were brought over two drinks that looked like an iced tea and root beer. After taking a big sip, I realized the drink was loaded with tequila. I am 5 months pregnant and my guest is no where near legal drinking age. We were both served alcoholic drinks and when we brought this to the attention of our server she was extremely annoyed and inconvenienced by it. We did not get end up getting our original drinks and when she brought the bill, there were Prick

Came to pickup the kid from school so we stopped for brunch. There was a short wait but it was worth it. I have the chicken and biscuits. The gravy was delicious! I should have ordered extra. I only tried the Oreo donut but wish I could have tried them all. The maple donut will definitely be the next one that I try. Come hungry!

Excellent hearty breakfast food. It was hard to decide what to order with so much that looks good on the menu. We got the Pork Carintas Hash and Farmer's Hash - both great. They serve Collectivo coffee - drip and espresso drinks. I'm definitely coming back.

Loved the brunch here. We had Bassett Street Egg and Lox Box. We were very impressed and would highly recommend both! Very special and flavorful. The seating was a bit tight but we'd take it for the good food. Will certainly come back.

Best breakfast in town love the coconut cr?me French toast and the hangover omelette were outstanding. Garret was super accurate with all our orders and excellent with service. We highly recommend and will be back.

One of the best brunch places in Madison (only downside was the wait)! I came here for brunch with friends (Sunday at 11am so pretty busy) and had to wait ~1 hr for a table. However, the food was worth the wait! The lemon ricotta pancakes were absolutely delicious (and were a very fluffy & filling stack of 3). The ?toastest with the mostest? (avocado toast w/potatoes) was pretty good too, really enjoyed the potatoes. Overall, loved the food & service, highly recommend!

Parking? There?s no parking u have to find a park and pray your car dnt get towed Server was nice and honest Food terrible?. This was my first time going I was excited to eat here til we got our food. Chicken and donut was so good if I knew the other food was horrible like it was I would?ve just ordered the chic/donut Fish tacos was? that?s it just was I wanted blackened but got burnt fried. The roast beef sandwich was the worse tasted like old meat that sat out for days and recooked Toast with the most Was

I came here every day of my trip because the coffee and food are just that good. Prices, portions, quality and service are unmatched. I am still dreaming about the oat latte Mary Beth made me- can't recommend enough!!!!

Affordable and huge portions! Food not only looks great but also tastes great. Pictured below is the strawberry shortcakes, savory french toast, and eggs benedict. I would recommend most of their breakfast/brunch dishes!

We arrived at the store with our child around 11:00 and waited at a table for over 20 minutes to decide on a menu, but were completely ignored, even though we made eye contact with the Sever and made signs that we wanted to order. I hope this was not discriminatory against my family. However, as other reviews have written, the store was discriminatory enough. We stopped in while passing through Madison, but a good trip was ruined by this restaurant. In particular, the woman with the glasses supposed to be o

I was very happy with the great service that Shannon provided! The timing was perfect on delivery of food and drinks. She recommended The Mother Clucker sandwich, and it was great. Light citrus and herb flavor layered with blackening seasoning. This restaurant is attached to the Hampton Inn Downtown Madison. Lightly busy on a Wednesday evening. Trivia night started at 7pm.

I'm sad, because I have lived here in Madison for 2 years, and I just discovered this place last night. I am moving tomorrow morning. We've gotten 50% off pancakes and a box of free donuts - and AMAZING food! Enjoy this place before you get a job offer to move down to the South.

I've lived in Madison for over 10 years and will recommend Bassett Street Brunch Club because of word of mouth but haven't actually experienced it (wild, I know) Went for the first time with my daughter and was warmly greeted by Will. Will was fantastic and very welcoming! He made sure our first experience was grand. I was feeling adventurous and mentioned items I liked. He offered delicious food and drinks. He nailed it out of the park! My daughter loved her food. I got the Cafe au lait with Caramel syru

Pleasant servers. Nice atmosphere. I couldn?t decide between the Lemon Ricotta pancakes or the Coconut Cream pie French toast. So I got the FT with ONE pancake. Both were very good, but my favorite was the pancake. The pancake required no syrup and was perfect the way it was! I love breakfast most of all and this place didn?t disappoint.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience. The green goddess grilled cheese and chicken & donut were big hits. The burger didn't deliver on the big flavor the menu described (some sriracha mayo helped fix that), and the salad was just fine. Good sized portions, reasonable prices, and great service.

This place was so so tasty! Everything I ate was absolutely fantastic! In particular, the breakfast potatoes were the best I've ever had. I don't know what they did to them, but they were perfect. (and I deeply love breakfast potatoes, so it's a big bar that they surpassed!). I ordered a horchata latte, one hot and and cold. Both were perfection. And of course the service was great. Definitely recommend this place.

Came here for brunch during the week, and luckily it was pretty empty when we arrived around 8:45am. People started to trickle in shortly after 9am. Anyway on to the food! My friend got the breakfast bagel sandwich, and she said it was delightful! The bagel was fluffy and the garlic aioli was top notch. I had the pork carnitas hash with the kitchen made biscuits, it was amazing. All of it. So tasty. And the biscuits were SO good. We then shared a serving of the Lemon ricotta pancakes. Those were the STA

I got the Eggs Benedicto and my boyfriend got Savory French Toast. The eggs in the eggs Benedicto were perfectly poached. The potatoes were good too. My boyfriend's eggs were alright, though he didn't like it too much. The bacon was okay, though a little fatty. He liked the pancakes.

Came for a quick wedding weekend and had to stop here after being recommended. Leya (spelling may be wrong) was the best behind the bar. Very personable, friendly and improved our experience. Explained the menu a bit, answered questions and overall was a pleasure. The food was incredible. All the food that came out looked well prepped and visually appealing!

Extremely attentive, fast and friendly service. The food was alright. They have many options and also vegetarian/vegan options which I loved! I would recommend this one for a nice brunch.

Our family?s new must-stop when visiting Madison. There are lots of tasty options for vegetarians. Service is great. food portions are huge. We enjoyed our experience so much that we went back again before flying back home.

Fantastic food, kids loved it, saying the pancakes are the best they've ever had! Lox Box was great, also. There is a weekend rush so suggest getting there soon after they open.

9/12/21: Very slow service. Only had plastic silverware once we received our food. Our server was rarely around. Update 4/19/22: Great food and drinks. Much better experience!

Fun place for breakfast/brunch, especially if you want cocktails. Love the attention to detail here with the vintage robot theme too! Hangover omelette was good but not great. The bagel breakfast sandwich was tasty; would have been perfect with some chipotle mayo. Side potatoes were perfectly cooked. Definitely would come back to try other menu offerings.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally tried it!!! Aaaamazing !!!! Super busy brunch place in Madison, WI. They are on first come first serve basis so be prepared to wait. We were a big group and each one of us loved what we ordered. The menu offers great options for everyone. The food here is incredible. They make great eggs benedict, pancakes, lattes, and sweets. The food is outstanding. Brunch place done right.

Absolutely adorable place. Our waitress Elia was incredible. Super sweet, funny, and just a great server. Will come back and will always request her.

Overall, a bit underwhelming. On paper the menu looks more interesting than it actually is; in terms of execution, dishes are often a bit... meh. The Sassy Cow cheese curds, for example, had a flavorless batter and very generic ranch, and came out simply drenched in oil. The cheddar grits were... extremely bland grits with a bit of cheese slapped on top and broiled. The Eggs Benedicto were soggy, pretty small, and the side of greens it comes with was just that, a pile of greens with a dash of dressing. The

Ate here twice during my stay in Madison and both times I loved the food. My first day I ordered the Egg Benedict, it was the perfect brunch meal as it kept me full up until dinner time. There was a great kick to it from the "Italian Salsa" that was included. The second day I had the "... American". It was pretty good as well! The service was quick, the hostess and waitress were also really kind and responsive. The coffee was decent.

We stopped in on a Sunday at 9:30 and were seated right away! Yay! Parking downtown is always interesting and we were able to park right across the street!! We ordered 2 lattes with a hazelnut donut, the carnitas hash and the hot and tot burrito. Everything was hot, and well prepared! The atmosphere was hoppin as well

Went here for breakfast. It was very delicious. The variety of entries was surprisingly large. The drink menu had a lot of choices.

The food was excellent. It really is. Everything was hot and freshly made. It is just a tad expensive but honestly it?s worth it if you want a nice brunch place to go. Atmosphere is unique. Lots of interesting decor and the hustle and bustle of breakfast is always fun to experience in a diner. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for breakfast in Madison.

For my birthday I was taken to a restaurant I could not know the name of until we got there. Yay for surprises. I have to say I was not a fan of the hour drive to get to the restaurant and parking was hard to figure out. we found parking and walked into the restaurant. I was surprised by the layout and decoration. We were welcomed to Bassett Street Breakfast Brunch Club restaurant with ?we have some immediate seating for you guys.? We got a seat right away and our waitress come up and greeted us, she got us

Wish we can give tips to the chef. The food is always good here. I have been here many times before and everything was good. This time I introduced my Friends here and the service is sooooooo bad that we leave as soon as possible. The women serve us showed totally different attitude compared to others and we need to get our food by another waiters.

I love coming to this place. Look, when I tell you there food is on point, it is on point. They never miss. Love the atmosphere here. Everyone is friendly. The front host is always greeting you with a smile. And they seem to love doing their jobs. The Momoses are what I have when I'm visiting Madison Wisconsin. When I tell you they are the best in the city, you won't find any other like these. (The best I've ever had), and I've had plenty from others. The price of the food is very affordable. They have insi

Great coffee and donuts and meals, in general. Great hours for hangover brunch food. Usually pretty busy so expect to wait on weekends. Decent prices for great, filling meals. The green goddess grilled cheese and tomato soup is delicious, all their burritos are great- lot of food!

William is amazing. Pleasant attitude and made it a great experience at the Brunch club. Food is tasty. Cozy and warm environment.

Service was swift and friendly?every single server who passed by me greeted me or offered/asked if I needed anything. The avocado toast I ordered with breakfast potatoes was really good and filling. I never order avocado toast since it?s pretty basic at most places, but this one was so flavorful! The toast itself was really thick and all the toppings complemented the avocado and one another perfectly. I also added a side order of scrambled eggs that needed some seasoning. I?d come back to try more menu item

Whenever we visit Madison, we like to go to Bassett Street Brunch Club for their delicious and nutritious food. Convenient location for downtown exploring. Nice seating options indoors and outside.

The food was okay, but service was ridiculous. When I first sat, I asked the waitress if it?s okay that I order first and stay here wait for my friend to join later, who will also order. And she said yes, that?s fine, but they have a two hour limit, and she can make it work. P.s. This is Monday morning when many tables were empty, not weekend brunch times. I said that?s okay, then I ordered a bunch of food. Afterward, she comes every ten minutes asking me if I need any boxes. After three times, she comes an

I have been here 2x while travelling through Madison. Bassett Street has an extensive menu, all day brunch, homemade donuts and veggie options. It's nestled inside a hotel but it is easy to find in its downtown location. Free parking is available in the hotel proximity. The robots make it extra cute and the service is friendly and true Midwestern style with attentiveness and a homey feel.

Great breakfast! Very modern atmosphere. We shared a delightful donut!! My husband loved his chili chorizo breakfast burrito. My avocado toast was delicious, with the only critique being that I wish the bread was sliced thinner. The greens on the side were light and refreshing. Monday morning with no wait time!

Diverse and tasty array of entrees and sides. Everything I have ordered from here has arrived well packaged and quite often still hot! 10/10 would recommend.

We experienced horrible service during lunch yesterday. We will never return. It started off by the 6 of us waiting more than 10 minutes for water. The place was not busy. Now we know why. Three of us had tried several times to catch the attention of the hostess (our table was immediately next to her); each of us said yes, she DID make eye contact...and each time she looked the other way. Two of the times we were trying to notify someone that bacon was in my sister's meal when she had requested none, and

I will go here just for the chicken and biscuit with the corn sausage gravy. It was worth the 45min wait. My chicken was fried well and the gravy was literally the best sausage gravy I?ve had so far. The horchata was really good too. Very creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. Our waitress was excellent.

So glad we finally made it to Bassett St Brunch Club (we don?t get downtown too often and there are so many great places). The food was delicious. I had the hangover and my husband orderer the savory French toast. It was a good size portion of food for the cost. Our server was very friendly and the right amount of attentive.

Some of the best food in Madison for sure! Cobb Salad: One of the best cobb salads (substitute chicken for the shrimp) I've had. It's probably enough for 2 meals worth! All the ingredients were so fresh, I finished the entire thing in one go even though I felt full half way. Hangover omelette: Seems simple at first, but it comes with a really nice cheese sauce that takes it up a notch! Chicken and donut: This sweet-savory combination is not something you'd see on a typical brunch menu, but its a great dish!

I had one of the best Brunch experiences. The Turkey Curtsy Sandwich was great! Great atmosphere and I loved the Spike Horchata has ver nice taste! People very friendly and servicial

Came with my boyfriend for our 1 year. It was his first time there and he loved the atmosphere and everything was DELICIOUS. Last time I was there the coconut French toast was recommended. I was excited to try it and it did not disappoint!!

Solid brunch food and large portions. Had delicious eggs benedict and donut/fried chicken combo!

Can I just. Please never take the coconut cream pie french toast off the menu, it is so good. The place is always busy but food is always worth it. This place is a Madison staple and almost every dish off the brunch menu is amazing. They have variety for all kinds of diets whether you want just a wholesome steel cut oatmeal or a hefty chicken and waffle (or donut, won't judge if you get both).

Beware of takeout - we have ordered here in the past and its been fine, but out recent takeout order has made us reconsider. We ordered the green goddess grilled cheese, which was supposed to come with tomato soup. It did, but it was literally less than 1/2 cup of soup. The amount looked so comically small in the takeout container there's no way they didn't notice before deciding not to care. We also ordered the Italian garbage salad, and while the portions were fine they completely forgot the dressing. T

The Brunch Club is an adorable place to go for breakfast! I suggest getting here when they open - there is almost always a long wait the later in the day, but it's quite worth it. The menu is really inventive and offers a wide array of tastes. The portion sizes are huge and the presentation is impressive, though the flavor of the food falls just short of my expectations. I highly suggest the cocktails and the horchata here though.

What a cute spot! We were in Madison for the weekend and were happy to find this restaurant in the same building as our hotel. The space is bright and colorful and the staff is wonderfully attentive. The manager checked in on us throughout our meal and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend the tater tot burrito!! The iced coffee is also fantastic - not the usual diner stuff! We enjoyed our meal and also stopped in at night for a couple of great cocktails. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite brunch places! I love their sweeter things breakfast food menu. The cr?me brule? oatmeal and lemon ricotta pancakes are amazing.

Second time we've eaten here from out of town. Enjoyed it enough the first time to want to come back! Brunch dishes are really excellent. This time we had the eggs benedict and the "big" something or other (can't remember the exact title).

I would highly recommend this place for brunch. These lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry are delicious but too much for one person. Therefore, bring a friend, a lover or family member to share them with. Under $9.00 for the pancakes is a great value. The iced coffee is holiday spice which is great for the season. The soundtrack is great. I?m currently listening to Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande as I write this review.

My boyfriend and I came here around 1130am. We did not have a reservation, but we were seated right away. The food was great, the staff all wore masks and everything was clean. The food and drinks tasted amazing! 10/10 would highly recommend!

We went at 8am on a Saturday. There was plenty of seating and the space was comfy and inviting. Our server, William was beyond great. He took time to chat with us and was very attentive. The food was outstanding - lots of traditional dishes with some creative twists. We had the chicken and donut app, hot to tot burrito and chicken and biscuit sandwich. All were cooked perfectly and substantial. The breakfast were amazing! Highly recommend.

Great selection of sweet and savory breakfast dishes, extremely well done. It can get very busy. Prices reflect the quality

The food was amazing. Fish Tacos were cooked perfect. I like the idea of ordering breakfast at anytime.

I noticed the egg Benedict is made differently now, and I was also disappointed to see that the coconut cream toast was taken off the menu. ??

Excellent excellent excellent breakfast. Be warned though! Wait time's usually around an hour on weekends, even off peak times. It's worth bringing people from out of town here - the rum horchata and other breakfast cocktails are fantastic. I had the Eggs Benedicto with a caf? au lait.

The good: dog friendly patio, quick service, and the drinks. Breakfast potatoes! Vegetarian and vegan options. Decent prices. The meh: the rest of the food. Everything we ordered was just average. Side of toast was cold. Avocado toast was an inch of toast and a half centimeter of avocado. The potatoes in the pork hash were bland and soft, not crispy like a hash. Tofu scramble is a great addition to the menu, but flavorless aside from the turmeric. It wasn?t a bad experience, but we agreed there?s no reason

This place was so good! I had an omelette with a side salad and bacon. On top of the omelette there was this crema stuff and it was so tasty! I had a bloody Mary and it was kinda too spicy for me but still good! The place is cute and they really made you feel safe with their social distancing so that was great. I highly recommend this place :) my husband is still raving about their salad and omelette :)

Ordered online for a take-out order. My bagel was broken and cold. The ingredients for the Lox Box are not even assembled onto my bagel. I?d have liked an assembled bagel or at least a disclosure that my food wasn?t going to be put together. Also, why is there wet lettuce and weird white stuff in my tomato? I message via the Maps app but never received a response. Here I am having to post a review.

Soooo good. Was a really long wait Saturday but was able to get a spot at the bar. Service was great and food was amazing. Got the bagel sandwich and the hot to tot burrito, the salsa verde was delicious and the pest in the sandwich really came through. Will definitely be back!

Let me start off by saying tht the food here is AMAZING!! I've enjoyed dining here every week for the last couple months. Unfortunately they missed the mark last week. I ordered my breakfast nachos deconstructed and in the past this has never been an issue. I happily left a 20% gratuity on my pickup order because the staff always does such a great job making sure my order is correct. But on this trip they did not ensure the accuracy of the order. The nachos were an inedible soggy mess. I tried to call the

Underwhelmed with the food after being excited about the menu. A solid brunch spot with a good variety of options, but I?m not running back.

Located in the downtown Madison area, I would likely not return?not a bad experience, just not a thrill to my tastebuds either. Parking took a bit and spot was packed, ended up sitting at the bar, which is first come first serve. Solid customer and friendly service and coffee is Colectivo, so lovely! However, I ordered the pork carnitas hash and found it was lacking seasoning and a bit on the dry end. My friend had the hangover and also lacking seasoning. I hear the doughnuts are phenomenal, but we did not

Wonderful food and fantastic waitress. Very unique and creative menu. Loved it. Great homemade doughnuts. Highly recommend this place.
