Baker's Dozen of Pomfret

A Nice place with friendly people. We visited a couple of years ago during a roadtrip and was so impressed that I wanted to return. I'm happy to see they?ve maintained the same high quality and warmth. I love their bakery items and coffee/latte selection. Somewhat a busy place with lot of drive thrus.

This is my go to Baker?s and I usually have good experiences there with the staff, and the drinks are always great. I get the same drink pretty much every time I come, but the past few times I ordered an iced latte, I was essentially given a cup of milk that had a burnt flavor to it. This time, I went up to the counter and asked if there was any chance I could get an extra shot of espresso added into it, and the girl gave me attitude and told me yes, but the shot of espresso did nothing and it still just ta

This is one of mine, and my son's favorite places to stop for a quick breakfast. The food is so delicious and always made fresh. Plus, the staff here has always been so friendly and polite. Every time we are out this way, we stop here for breakfast. I definitely recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant. My son would say bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. Plus, a donut is a must!

On a road trip and drove by this coffee shop and decided to stop. Had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a crescent. It was delicious. Very friendly staff. They have a wide variety of donuts and even a frozen meal section that looks really good. Only thing that could/should have been better was the bathroom. Should have been cleaner. Overall nice staff and delicious sandwich. Will stop in again if in the area .

AMAZING breakfast sandwiches. I always get a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel. It's delicious, and an amazing price for what you get. I always get the frozen Chai, and it's a perfect start to any day. For $20 we can get 2 donuts, 2 breakfast sandwiches and a drink. Same price as any chain, but you get fresh, high quality food. 100% worth it.

Delicious coffee! First time I been inside and sat in the lounge area with comfy couches and cute fall decor. Very relaxing, I read my book and enjoyed a amazing light n sweet ice coffee! I'll be back! #13 TBD ?? ??

I visit Bakers Dozen almost every day, wnd order a large hot coffee caramel with 6/6 whether it be in Pomfret or another town. Pomfret Bakers Dozen is by FAR the best Bakers dozen in CT. The coffee and food is always the highest quality this chain produces. Even if they are super busy the food is always great. Even if staff members are really busy, you are still greeted with a smile and great attitude. Clearly this restaurant has great management to have such an awesome team that makes everyone's morning!

My husband went to get me 3 frozen hot chocolate , unfortunately he ask first for ice hot chocolate and the girl says we don?t know what he is talking about, anyways he pass and ends up getting me regular hot chocolate, he call me in the way back and I do explain what I actually want frozen hot chocolate so he turns around and came back and this time he get out of he?s car and ask for the right thing and not sure who it was but says to him I don?t know what you mean so he says never mind , and bring me the

I stop in to the pomfret location at least 2/3 mornings a week around 5:45 am. The coffee is good and hot, the baked goods are always fresh and the friendly and courteous ladies that serve me make the beginning of my mornings. ????

The employees are always so great! Super kind and polite. The only thing I have a problem with is their sandwiches are WAAAYY too hot! I have to wait until my lunch break is almost over to eat cause they are so piping hot. I know they don't want to hand out cold sandwiches but it shouldn't still be smoking after it's been sitting out to cool.

I'm originally from PA, I came in during a road trip stop. The ambience was wonderful!! It had feeling of a little town college coffee shop. It was visually calm like coming home with a subtle energy. Staff was very nice and helpful. The food was a solid five star. The bagel was really good, fresh, toasted, the muffin tasted home made, and the iced latte with extra espresso I got was really really good by coffee shop standards. Much better than DD or Starbucks. You should definitely stop in and try!

Regular customer, drive-through is fast, food is always warm and delicious, and they never make my drink wrong. Love my baker girls! Thank you guys for pushing me through my long 12hr shifts as a Cna and getting me through Nursing school! I always get a breakfast sandwich and iced coffee.

Breakfast sandwiches just microwaved junk. And they have the nerve to charge how much for them? Just some trendy commercial spot that's vanilla culture and all marketing. Go get some food out of a trashcan you'll save some money.

Was just passing through pomfret for work and stopped in as I prefer small cafes vs the chains. Very glad I stopped in :-) great service, great staff attitude and great food and coffee.

What a horrible experience. Stopped for a cup of coffee after a long drive. Waited in the drive-thru for our order for 30 minutes and it was wrong. Went inside and waited 15 minutes just to find out that they were out of regular coffee. She said they only had pumpkin coffee. Then the latte which was supposed to be large came to us as medium. I just left. Very unsatisfied. How you got the 2020 award for being the best is beyond me. No coffee and you are a Coffee house. Sad days.??

Disappointing coffee, disappointing service. Not sure why we had to repeat each coffee order (large, hot lattes with a flavor) 3 times, but we did and one of the three was still wrong. And if I wanted disappointment in a cup, I'd go to Dunkin.

No matter where I've gone, I still can't find a frozen hot chocolate as good as the ones they make here! This is one thing I miss about the quiet corner, especially as the weather turns warmer! If you get the chance, go here and give their frozen hot chocolate a try!

While driving through an unfamiliar part of CT, we came across A Baker?s Dozen! My fianc? wanted to stop in and get a coffee, and when I saw their donuts, I knew I had to give them a try! I tried the Boston cream and chocolate frosted. They weren?t bad, though I?ve had better - it was earlier in the day and they already seemed a bit stale. My fianc? enjoyed his coffee though, and I was impressed that they had macarons and whoopie pies in their fridge!

Buyer BEWARE....The bags of Utz potato chips are marked $2.49 but Baker's Dozen charges a dollar more! Totally unacceptable and is illegal in some states not sure about Connecticut.

The cinnamon bagel with cinnamon sugar is great! I?ve been coming here for years and I?m always happy with my experience. I like how they add new things to the menu but don?t change their core items.

This place is AMAZING!! I pass by it all the time on my rides from CT to RI, so my friend and I decided to stop in. Incredibly cute atmosphere with good tunes, drinks, and food. When we said it was our first time there, a customer said "You'll keep coming back", and he was RIGHT. Tasty, fresh donuts and egg sandwiches. Friendly, patient staff early in the morning. Nice tables and a couple of couches sitting and enjoying company or to watch the world go by.

I've been coming here on and off for breakfast. Dang they're fast. And it's a better bang for your buck. I like Dunkin. But here, you get real bread and an actual sandwich instead of smoosh.

Wonderful atmosphere, I love the fireplace and leather seating. Really cozy. I had their frozen hazelnut truffle coffee. Probably one of the best frozen coffees I've ever had. Certainly better than Starbucks. I had a strawberry donut there. It was really cute, I loved the contrast of pink with the blue - white snowflake sprinkles. It felt a little dry, but that might be because it wasn't really greasy at all. Firm. The ladies behind the counter were really nice, too!

Had the worst experience today with the pomfret location. Definitely won't be stopping there again. Ordered my usual frozen coffee cooler, got going down the road, took my first sip, nearly gagged at how disgusting it tasted today. It burned my tongue and throat for the next twenty minutes. First thought was probable bleach in the coffee from not fully cleaning their machines. this is a nice coffee shop which also has a large selection of pastries. I?m only giving three stars because the pastries and food that they offer generally isn?t very tasty. Although I will admit they have a central location that is easy to stop by if you need something quick!

Stop in daily for cup of coffee before I go to work. Have never had a bad coffee or a bad experience always a smiling face when I pull up to the drive through window. I get an ice coffee with a expresso shot never taste bitter.

Love their coffee! Donuts and pastries are WAY better than what you'll find in the big chains. The ambiance in Pomfret is quite pleasant. Additionally, you can pick up Sweet Pea goodies (all sorts of fabulous deli quality meals to go). AND THE STAFF IS POLITE, FRIENDLY & ALWAYS PROMPT WITH SERVICE. Disappointed because over this past summer and months prior their iced coffee was AMAZING! I can't stand dunkin donuts because their coffee is watery and disgusting..all of a sudden Baker's is becoming Dunkins. My iced coffee used to be thick and amazing..now it's always watered down ??

We love this place! We often bring a book to read while enjoying our coffee. The only negative is the constant and annoying noise the entrance/exit door makes each time a patron comes in or or goes out. Very distracting when trying to read.

Great place to grab a coffee and good food. Just order the"Fat Boy" if you want a really hearty breakfast sandwich. You will not be disappointed. This sandwich has a hash brown Patty, sausage pattie , ham slice, egg and cheese on a roll. And the apple fritters make fabulous French toast sticks when sliced and dipped. Just dip and fry! Baker's coffee is very good. The sandwiches are pretty tasty. The staff at this location is friendly, helpful, and has great customer service skills.

A great place for a good cup of coffee and donuts. I was able to get a cup of fresh decaf (don't judge me ??) after 5pm. They have a nice sitting area with a gas fireplace insert.

Coffee is great, as well as the baked goods. All in all a very nice spot with comfortable indoor seating as well as outdoor. If you're in a hurry they also provide drive through service.

Asked for a hot cappuccino..lady made me iced. I was okay with that, I didn't want to waste it. But then I found her HAIR INSIDE the drink. Not on the outside, but IN MY DRINK. She was yapping away with a coworker and not paying attention I guess, but it was disgusting and poor customer service. I didn't go back in to make a fuss and just threw my drink away, but Im definitely going to think twice before returning here again.
