This place is AMAZING. The donuts are so fluffy that it's like eating a cloud. The regular staff there on weekday mornings are incredibly fast and efficient. I can order 2 dozen donuts and have them packed in boxes, be rung up, and out the door in under 5 minutes. I've never had faster service at a donut place in my life. Best of all, their prices are fantastic! WAY more affordable than any of the big donut chain stores. 2 dozen donuts cost me $32 (before tip) today. I couldn't get grocery store donuts that

I've tried some of the more "fancier" donut options raleigh has to offer over the past year and let me say, these are some of the best tasting donuts I've ever tried anywhere. So many shops use too much oil or the dough is too thick etc.. But these are so perfect. Both styles are great, the regular glazed is so soft and fluffy and the cake ones are very soft and moist as well. Can't go wrong with any choices here. The only thing I haven't tried are the fritters but I imagine those are probably incredible as

This was my first visit to this donut shop, and I was excited to see what all the fuss was about. A coworker had talk about their donuts, so I felt I had to check it out myself. The donuts were incredibly soft and bursting with flavor. The shop had a lot of customers, which is always a good sign.I can confidently say I've found my new favorite donut spot. I can't wait to return and try even more flavors!

Best donuts for sure. We don?t like fancy, stuffed donuts or whatever. Bakers dozen does simple, perfectly. Nothing is overly sweet, and they know exactly how to make a proper donut.

The glazed donut was light and still warm. Very busy at 9:30 on a Friday. The line was a bit disorganized and there was only one worker with many people ordering dozens of donuts. Worth a try but I recommend going as soon as they open.

Probably the best donuts ever! Small place, but plenty of parking. Inside was bustling with people eagerly waiting for donuts. I would consider this place a carry out only. We tried the apple fritters, a strawberry cake donut, and coffee. The coffee was so-so, but the donuts were amazing. If I ever make this trip again or if you find yourself near there, this is a must stop! Snagged a picture of the cinnamon rolls while waiting

Best donuts in the Triangle, nobody else comes close. Every donut they have is spectacular, but my personal favorites are: Devil's Food, Chocolate Creme, Sugar Raise, French Crueller, Chocolate Frosted, and White Creme. What makes these donuts so good is they are perfectly flavored, straightforward donuts that don't rely on gimmicks like having cereal poured over them or weird flavors. Just perfect donuts.

Baker's Dozen is a wonderful bakery, with talented bakers and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It offers fresh, natural tasting donuts, compared to popular chains, and competitive prices for the portion and flavor of the sweets they sell. I had to deduct a star, because I wanted to call an order ahead for a company event but no one answered the phone after several calls over multiple days. With that said, I still had three boxes out the door in under five minutes, so time wasn't an issue in the end, and e

Best donuts for the best prices around. Anything strawberry is top notch, and the apple fritters are great. Family owned, super nice people, and always willing to give extra care to customers.

I was on my way to the DMV when I saw a donut sign and immediately said to myself I HAD to stop there! I can?t remember the woman's name who helped me but she was the sweetest. The donuts are sooo soft, fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweetness. I?m not a huge sweet person but when I enjoy them I devour them. I got 6 assortment donuts to ?share? with my family and I?ve already eaten 3 of them. The apple fritter is lovely! I will definitely come back for more soon.

The best donuts in Raleigh!!! Always fresh, great variety and priced nicely. Sometimes they sell out so call first if visiting late in the day. If somebody picks up a dozen (get 13 donuts) and brings into the office, consider it your lucky day!

This is the only place you EVER need to go to if you want a donut. I?ve been going here for a few years now and it?s such an incredible spot. The service is great and the donuts are always fresh and delicious, to the point that they WILL SELL OUT. Be sure to go before noon on the weekends if you can, just for more variety due to the selling out, but honestly, I?ve had so many different types of donuts here and never had a negative thing to say about a single one. Each donut here is flawless. Flawless. Get t

Best donut shop in the world!!! Bakers Dozen Donuts is so good, they offer fresh made donuts and delicious apple fritters. My favorite is the donut holes, those holes just magically make you have a better day. 5 STARS!!!

I love donuts and Baker?s Dozen does not disappoint! Word of caution, GET THERE EARLY. I got there around 9am after they opened at 6am and all of the Apple fritters were already gone :( since I couldn?t get a fritter, I compromised and got a ?baker?s dozen?. For less that $15 including ?fancy donuts? this was a really great price. The quality of the donuts I?ve tried so far is AMAZING and I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends. This hole-in-the-wall shop got through their long li

Love this place! Best donuts in the area. The apple fritters are some of the best I?ve had. I always stop by when I?m visiting the Raleigh area. Try them out, you won?t be disappointed!

You may have to wait a few minutes in line but it is WORTH IT. Get there earlier than later - they do sell out of popular flavors. Some of the best Apple Fritters I?ve ever had and the other flavors like buttermilk and raised doughnuts were delicious too. Also incredibly reasonably priced!

two words: apple fritters. i have searched high and low, even in different states, and none compare to the level of perfection as these. the donuts are great too, but their apple fritter is the star of the show! they?re crispy on the outside and so fluffy and light with apples on the inside. i don?t know how they do it, but they produce a little bit of magic with these delicious fritters!

Got a plain glazed, crumb cake, and buttermilk. First two were standard, fine, definitely worth what I paid, but nothing special. The buttermilk was like something I?ve never had before. It has this unusual tang to it that I can?t associate with any flavor I know. Unfortunately, I live about nine hours away, otherwise I would be here every week just to get more of those. The woman at the counter was friendly to everyone and the store looks nice.

I LOVE THIS PLACE WITH MY HOLE HEART (haha, hole get it? Because of donut holes?) The donuts there never fail! Theyre either perfectly warm or have that delicious crispyness to it, the reason why imwriting this is because I was told by my moms coworker that I could have the last donut in the break room (I came with her to work today) and when i got to see the box, I almost flipped with joy because of the bakery it came from. I am eating a donut stick right now as i am typing this. by the way, usually its b

Amazing donuts. Went on a Monday evening and they were sold out of plain glazed and only had a handful of flavors left! Quick in and out. Will have to get in earlier next time to try a plain glazed! I would dare to say best donuts in Raleigh.

This was our first time coming here. I read all of the reviews. I have to admit... the are the truth. This is a small donut shop and everyone was very nice and welcoming. The donuts are absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety box, donut holes and apple fritters. They were sold out of the glazed twists. The strawberry raised, glazed raised, fritters and cinnamon crum are absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend coming here. I would say the earlier you come the better before they sell out of your fav

I am an outside sales representative and visit customers in 17 states in the North East. When visiting for group meetings, I will often stop and pick up donuts, bagels, or some sort of pastries. I have bought a lot of donuts in the last 20-years. Whenever possible, I try to find the small, local, mom and pop shop in the area. Baker's Dozen is THE BEST DONUT SHOP there is, by far. The owner, Sindy and her brother run the shop, they are wonderful people. And, their donuts are always fresh and are the be

These are outstanding, super fresh donuts! Hard to find quality like this. This is definitely a shop to come early if you are looking to get a solid variety (or even quantity). We stopped in at 9:30 on a Saturday and they were working to bring more donuts out, but clearly they were selling like hot cakes (or donuts). This is tucked away in an older shopping center. I love that their sign just says ?DONUTS?. When your product is good, you don?t much more. In the five minutes we waited for them to restock, th

I was visiting the area, and I always look for privately owned donut shops wherever I go. This one did not disappoint. They were delicious! They seem to stay quite busy. I would definitely go back when in the area.

First, let me just say I ordered the baker's dozen, for real. Second, I highly recommend you pace yourself and your family before digging into these delightful glutenous sugar bombs. Went for the apple fritter which was ???? and since we got 3, we had some leftover for the next day and was JUST AS DELIGHTFUL. Blueberry cake was on point and the chocolate glazed with chocolate fluff was perfection. I've been searching for donuts like what I grew up eating in WI and found them at The Baker's Dozen.

Reminds me of all the mom & pop donut shops in Cali. Never disappointed, fast and friendly service.

The best donuts in Raleigh! The store isn't fancy, and in fact, the name isn't on the outside (just a big Donuts sign). But the donuts! Fresh ones came out while we were in line, which was good, because they were going fast! The vanilla cream filled was so light, and the cream is not overly sweet. Go here!

The best donuts in the area, no questions. They're a small business, so you have to understand they're going to be out of things during their busy times. Adjust your expectations accordingly, and stop giving your neighbors who work VERY hard to provide an amazing product to a busy city a low rating just because they're out of something you wanted.

Donuts were fresh and tasty. Customer service wasn?t great. Not sure if staff was having a bad day, but it wasn?t busy when I went I was the only customer.

If you are looking for donuts, bear claws, apple fritters, etc, stop by and enjoy. These are without a doubt the best I have enjoyed. Be sure to stop by early cause they sell out fast.

On a scale of romances to documentaries, Baker's Dozen is a cozy mystery of deliciousness. Okay, no mystery -- just delicious. While the facade is nothing fancy, Baker's Dozen offers a display of marvelous doughnut choices. If you like filled doughnuts, they have the long ones, not just the round! The sales people are quick so be ready with what you want. The card machine wasn't working for the credit card tap when I was there, but they were still able to swipe the card. Parking is plentiful, and be sure

Need a dozen for the office? This is the place for you. Fast friendly service, good selection, competitive prices AND great donuts. Nicely done Bakers Dozen!!

Delicious, affordable, and child friendly! We are so excited to find a new donut place since our move. Not only are the donuts incredibly yummy, but they are also really affordable! The majority are less than a dollar. Even specialty items were less than two dollars. The apple fritters are out of this world. We also had an old fashion, strawberry glaze, and cruller. We can?t wait until our next trip to Baker?s Dozen. They have a sitting area, high chairs, and restrooms if you?d like to eat there.

Love their lemon filled donuts ??????????. With a variety of donuts to service. None can compare. Freshly made!! Listen don't tarry, cause with the are sold out they close..

Love these fresh made daily donuts, especially the maple frosting. Amazing place to stop and get a dozen if you are in the area. Note: they close when they sell out, so go early for the best ones.

The donuts are SO light and fluffy, they?re the best I?ve had in a long time! Pricing is great and the service is great!

Friendly staff, variety donuts fresh made every day, accept credit card and good quality coffee. Wonderful place here in Raleigh!

Donuts were really amazing!! It was moist and so delicious!! Blueberry cake was the winner. They are always open too! Server might bit rushing but that?s not big deal. Overall, great!!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO BAKER'S DO ZEN IN RALEIGH/CARY LOCATION!!!! I HAVE CALLED NUMBEROUS OF TIMES TO PLACE ORDER, EVEN THOUGH I WAS TOLD TO DO SO. THE PROFESSIONALISM AND ATTITUDES ARE ATROCIOUS. I WILL NOT GIVE MY MONEY FOR ATTITUDES AND BARELY STOCKED DONUTS. DO BETTER!!! YOU JUST LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER.

The donuts are good! Our favorite spot within a ten minute drive when we want a quick treat and don?t want to drive to Durham for Carolina Glaze ??. However, they are a little pricier and the costumer service is often edgy; the staff can be rude if you have any questions on pricing, and I?ve had less than pleasant interactions with them on more than one occasion.

What a great find! The donuts are incredibly airy, light and balanced with a delicious frosting. They fit the mold of the perfect original donut recipe. They also sell great bear claws and cinnamon buns. There is hardly any seating inside as this is more of a grab-and-go donut shop. However, the service was incredibly fast given the traffic they had on a Sunday morning. Their operation is simple, efficient, and warm!

Crazy good donuts! Best in Raleigh! I have avoided even posting this for years because I want to keep it a secret. However, they are closed until August 15, 2023 due to the owner having heart surgery. Here?s to their full and rapid recovery! Update 8/22: Guess who?s back! Back again! Baker?s Dozen! Tell your friends! They?re open and running out of donuts early everyday.

They have the best donuts without a doubt! Our family favorite is Strawberry Raised! The staff is friendly and caring. I almost didn't write this review because I want to keep this amazing place as much to myself as I can. To the owners: Please keep doing what you're doing and don't lose the passion that you have for it. Don't change anything, you've already created perfection.

Donuts are amazing and fresh daily. They do sell out so don?t wait until mid day to get yours. Been here several times. Highly recommend

Absolutely delicious! Simple place with GREAT donuts! We arrived and the donuts shelves were more than half empty and 10 minutes until the next batch?yet there were 10 people waiting in the store for the next batch! Says a lot about the quality!!

Best donuts in Raleigh - love the apple fritters and sugar raise. But all are great!

Purchased a bakers dozen from bakers dozen and only got 12. Lmao like WHAT? ?? your shops literally called "Bakers dozen" and i didn't even get 13 doughnuts. Didn't even bother going back to get the one missing. Wasnt worth it since they were dry like a Popeyes biscuit. Bout choked to death on my first bite.

Fantastic donuts! This place really knows how to fry!! Every donut was fresh, crispy, and delicious. My favorites included the French curlers, apple fritter, old fashioned, buttermilk, and blueberry. Everything I had was incredible and I will be back next time I?m in town. Thank you for making delicious donuts!

Best donuts in the Raleigh area. My husband only likes old-fashioned donuts and is hard to please when it comes to donuts, and he said these are the best he's ever had. Everyone is right about the apple fritter. Definitely get one if you go. That one was my favorite ?? ????

This place has THE best donuts I've EVER tasted. They didn't last long enough for photos, so I'll try and remember the next time I go. Those warm raspberry filled donuts, the apple fritters (w/ chunks of real apple), and those damned blueberry cake donuts are to KiLL for!!! ???????????? Make sure U get there early because once they're gone, you'll be mad as hell at the people in front of U!!!! ?? Highly recommended!!!!

If you're in Raleigh do yourself a favor and go get donuts from Bakers dozen. Whether you're getting their famous apple fritters or just a simple glazed donut, everything is high quality, soft and delicious!

First time here because it was recommended. I'm so glad I don't live close to this place. I would have to walk to get them so I wouldn't feel bad. The apple fritters and cinnamon rolls should be illegal!!! So good!!

These donuts? Oh boy I live for them. The Bavarian cream filled donuts are cream FILLED. The blueberry cake is delicious. But those apple fritters... underrated. 10/10, amazing, decadent, delectable. A perfect little treat so worth waking up early for.

This place is the most amazing hole-in-the-wall bakery ever!!! We have yet to meet a donut we didn?t like! Today?s haul - all Apple fritters that we?ve been craving for so long! It?s worth a drive!

This is my donut stop for now on. Doesn?t matter how busy they are. They always make the donuts fresh and pretty. Great costumer service. It?s better to stop by and Jot down what donuts you want or call ahead. They usually will be ready in 30 minutes to one hour. And my kids love the donuts!

The lady was nice, the place has less than zero ambiance. The ?? were highly recommended, but I didn't find them out of the ordinary. But they are made fresh in comparison with other chains that do not make them in-house.

So delicious! The buttercream filled and the chocolate fluff filled were so good! My new favorite donut shop in the area. Great prices and super light and fresh donuts!

Great selection of donuts. Very tasty. We were in and out quickly, despite the line

Quick service, great low prices, and delicious donuts, cinnamon rolls, and fritters!

I've stopped here several times to get donuts for myself and for my workplace. They're always phenomenal and quick to serve whoever is first or ready. Absolutely delicious donuts and I'm always looking forward to my next visit. The apple fritters usually aren't ready until 7am but they are Very Good and worth the wait if you can swing it!

Best donuts in the area!! Friendly and quick service. Never disappointed, always delicious.

The BEST local donuts!! ?? Much better than all the chain donut stores. A must visit. Have been here many times and never disappointed. The prices are also fair.

Purchased a half dozen donuts on 9/10/22 at 8:14 AM for what I thought was the adviced price of $6.99; however, charged $13.24. When inquiring why such a price difference I was informed the $6.99 half dozen price only applies to none ?fancy donuts?? Their advertisement does mention the $6.99 being for ?regular donuts,? so just be aware your price will be based on which donuts you choose and seek clarification as to which donuts are regular for the $6.99 advertised price. Buyer beware

I?m always welcome with a warm smile and hello. The donuts are always fresh and delicious and at a good price.

Best donuts I've had, anywhere. High traffic and you get what is left for good reason. Apple fritters are wildly good.

We've been there a few times now and it never disappoints. They have a great selection of delicious donuts for a reasonable price. Definitely our go to place when we are on that side of town!

I?m OBSESSED with this place! I love small business donut shops much more than Krispy Kreme and Dunkin?. My favorite donuts here are the strawberry glazed. It?s obvious that it?s not artificial because it has small chunks of strawberry in it! The Apple fritters are also to die for. I love how homemade everything is. Staff is fast and friendly. They are a little more expensive than other places. This dozen was $14? but it?s worth it as an occasional treat!

What can be said it?s donuts they are awesome. Great service fast lines even if it?s long wait patiently it?s worth.

Phenomenal donuts but make sure you get there by 9 am to catch the best ones before they are on for the day!

Go spend $8.99 on 6 of their apple fritters, but you may not want to open the box in a public setting because I'm telling you...these things are incredible! I've never chosen fritters over raspberry and Bavarian filled donuts, but it's made abundantly clear at first site that you have no choice due to the sugar and cinnamon baked to a nice golden crisp on the apples. Sure I picked up a few other options...for the kids, of course. But I'd go back for 6 fritters!

Baker's Dozen make, by far the best donuts I have ever had. Even with the crazy gas prices it is worth the trip from Fuquay-Varina.

Holy Cow! All of the donuts are excellent. From: maples frosted, Bavarian creme, old fashioned , buttermilk and of course, BEST Apple Fritter ever, real apples inside not just apple flavored.(large enough for 2) The Old fashioned is also the best I've ever had! All the donuts I bought outshined everywhere else I've ever been in over 40 years. This is my new donut shop. The maple glazed yeast & chocolate cake w/clear glaze were awesome too! I've had most around: Dunkin, KK, Tim Horton's (yes, in Canada!), Kr

The best donuts ever! We have been going to the Buck Jones shop since we moved here from Ca. These donuts are just like in Ca. I am so happy to find a place that tastes familiar. 10-10 highly recommend! You won?t be disappointed. Great selection, always fresh, staff is so friendly.

Some of the best donuts I've had to date. I would rate them above Monuts in Durham (and I love Monuts). Beautiful and full donuts in all shapes and flavors. You'll see a lot of reviews mention the apple fritter. I really enjoyed it, as it was beautifully made and delicious. These donuts will fill you up. Wonderfully decorated interior gives it a chic feel with flowers in Mason jars on every table. Service was fast for us. Haven't tried the coffee but these donuts would be at home dipped in a fresh pot. L

Simple donut shop. All they do is donuts and they do them right. Beat donuts around. And the apple fritters are amazing.

Came at 11:30am sat morning and only a few options left! I got old fashioned donut and glazed. They were both so good! Will come back earlier to get more delicious donuts!

Wow! The just out of the dryer apple fritters are amazing. The buttermilk donuts look weird but are great. Google says that it's located in Raleigh but when I was growing up, this was considered Cary. Just FYI

The most amazing donuts & amazing customer service! The apple fritters & cinnamon rolls were top notch. My fianc? loved the cinnamon twist & the raise donuts too. & it was less than $10 for everything! We?ll definitely be back!

They're supposedly open til 7pm. It's 6pm and they're already closed. This isn't the first time I have driven across town for their donuts only to find them closed way before closing time. Great donuts if you can catch them open. Better call first. 8/28/21. Passing by and decided to get a chocolate covered cream filled. (No longer make special trips here because their hours are so erratic.) Almost all donuts are empty except plain and chocolate covered at 1:30pm. They close at 7pm. Out of almost everythin

outstanding donuts! fresh & soft! wish i lived in north carolina so i could enjoy these regularly!

I just come at this store. Its on Sunday at 4.55pm, the store was already closed. Even though I saw on Google that it was still open until 6.30pm. I don't know, maybe they changed the opening hours but haven't updated the store's opening hours on Google. I hope they will fix it. Thanks.

Good donuts, when they have any. Go there on a weekend and it's hit or miss if they have anything made. Shelves are usually empty. Younger staff are nice, older staff is very rude.

had such a nice experience here this morning! donuts were absolutely delicious!

Really good homemade style type of donuts. It?s like a hole in the wall gem for baked goods

This is a great donut shop. The apple fritters are the best fritters I've ever had, by far. They are my favorite thing they make. The bars and filled donuts are great, too.

On the outside it seems like an ordinary donut shop, but the donuts are amazing! They're some of the softest I'd ever had! Best donuts around.

By far the best donut place around! It had turned me into a donut snob. I love the custard filled, maple, and about 12 other types. They are so fresh!!! You have to get there early though sometimes they sell out. Those are dark days for us. Try them out. The shop is hidden away but an absolute gem of a donut shop!

I learned a long time ago that if you want a good donut you have to go to a mom-and-pop store. Always avoid Dunkin donuts and other major chains as those donuts are always shipped in and tastes bland or one week old. This establishment made some extremely delicious donuts that were freshly made! If you have a sweet tooth definitely get some donuts here! ??
