Baked N' Denver

Baked N' Denver

Reviews Summary

This donut shop receives mixed reviews, with many praising its wide variety of delicious, non-greasy donuts (especially apple fritters, kolaches, and crumb-raised options) and friendly service. However, consistency issues arise—some find items stale, overpriced, or poorly prepared (burritos, kolaches, coffee). Savory breakfast items divide opinions, with some loving the sandwiches and wraps while others call them microwaved or bland. Pricing increases and ownership changes have disappointed some regulars. Overall, it’s a solid spot for donuts and kolaches, but quality varies, and savory offerings are hit-or-miss.

Customer Reviews

Would rate this a middle of the road donut shop. We got a 1/2 dozen of different classics and the flavor was lackluster, more so you could taste the sugar vs the flavors pop. We had the cherry fritter which was a bit dry. The kolache also was dry and had way too much bread vs sausage ratio in our option. Wouldn?t necessarily come back, but it?s an option if you?re craving donuts and it?s convenient. The best was the chocolate cake donut.

Look no further for your favorite early morning, pre-ski stop or your favorite woke up late, need something fast savior! The donuts are amazing and they even have vegan options on the weekend. They also have a full coffee menu and super lovely staff. Their breakfast sandwich is incredibly solid as well and there are vegetarian options! I hope to update the review with more pictures, but the donuts are too good for me to pause and take one before diving in?? Remember to add your phone number at checkout for

What happened, Baked N' Denver?? A couple of years ago I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the raspberry-filled donut I got here. The dough was chewy, fresh, lightly sweet, with a seedy and sour raspberry jam filling, tangy, rich, deliciously tender. It was no joke the best quality raspberry donut I've EVER had. Today I got two after not being there for months, and they are completely different. The donut is fluffy and oversweet, with store-bought quality. The glaze is over thick. The dough tastes

I see a lot of mixed reviews here- donuts were phenomenal. If you want them fresh I?d recommend showing up before 11 since the close at 2. 4 stars because I can?t rate the coffee, heading next door for that. Staff was courteous and genuine.

We ordered a hot latte, glazed buttermilk bar, two plain cakes, and two vanilla sprinkled for delivery. Everything came hot, fresh, and bagged nicely so the donuts stayed intact. What we appreciated about these donuts, over others we have eaten here in Denver, is the lack of fake sweetness taste. These were baked well, not too sweet, and even the plain cake had an original flavoring. Best of all, coffee was piping hot and I didn't have to reheat it 50 times!

Yum! The donuts have great texture and taste! They have a creme brulee one that is really interesting with the crunch on top. Also the Denver wrap is pretty good.. I'm usually not into wraps but everything is done fresh and it's pretty darn tasty.

Good customer service. Good coffee and doughnuts. The inside is barren and depressing. The owners may consider making the inside more pleasant and appealing. Sitting outside to eat is nice.

Great spot for a meal, drink AND of course dessert. Convenient location, quick service and indoor and out door seating available. Vegetarian and Vegan options available. Nice fix for a sweet or savoury tooth. ?????????

The Cinnamon Tiger Tail donut is a must! This place has a huge variety of breakfast sandwhiches, wraps, & pastries available to start your morning out great! As well as a good coffee menu! I go to this place often since it's near my work.

I love finding hidden gems ?? in Denver and this definitely one of them. First Mica was super sweet and helpful. I just wanted to get a bagel ?? with some cream cheese and I left with a half dozen of their scrumptious donuts ??. If you are near downtown and want some donuts that are baked right here in Denver, please support Baked N?Denver. The Apple fritter is oh so yummy and Mica said they keep well if you don?t eat it today. #AskShaneequa #LocalGoogleGuideDenver

Good little donut shop. Get the chipotle sauce on the breakfast sandwiches, it?s good! Also got the buttermilk bar, which is like my favorite the old fashion, but better. Need to enhance the experience though if they want to compete with other trendy donut shops. Had fast friendly service with a smile. It?s worth a try.

Up until today, we?d not had any issues. The photo in William Liebel?s review (the one below mine) is how the blueberry fritters normally look. They?re our favorite thing from this shop and we?ve purchased them numerous times before. Today, we received the items burnt to a crisp, completely inedible. I called and spoke to a manager who raised his voice, talked over me, and said that the items weren?t burnt and that it?s how they always look. Not only is that not true, but it?s completely inappropriate to ta

Cute little coffee shop off of Broadway with amazing smells of fried dough! The service was okay- one staff member seemed to not be too delighted to be there or take our order. The croissant was okay- loaded with butter so not bad. Coffee was good, but no options to put any milks that aren?t artificially flavored on the counter, kind of a bummer. My honest rating is a 3 star but this is a small business with lots of potential ??

Baked n? Denver is a small and busy space, with a huge variety of delicious donuts. The mocha?s really good, and I was pleased they do latte art. Not just latte art, they do beautiful stuff. They have a parking lot, and there?s also street parking. I parked across the street, because the shop is situated at a super busy intersection. Baked n? Denver also offers free wi-fi, though it wasn?t working when I was there earlier. The only thing missing. I?m sad to say, is gluten-free products. They have none.

Felt like a great hole on the wall place and it was. Good donuts but they were out of coffee, had to pay extra for an Americano.

I love this place. The iced caramel mocha is my favorite and the donuts are amazing. The apple fritter is sooooo good. I love the kolaches as well, but unfortunately was disappointed today. Ordered (Doordash) the sausage and cheese but they were out of those, so I received the sausage, cheese and jalape?o instead, no big deal. Was still super excited. But unfortunately the kolaches I received were so different from every other time I have had them. Super thick dough. Looked nothing like their kolaches norma

Used to be an old school Winchell?s but now a designer/stoner donut joint with lots of merchandise for sale. Feels a bit forced but it works for the south Broadway vibe. Got a maple glazed donut that was ok.

Ok 1st and foremost yall rock!!!! I had did a doordash order, doordash completely dropped the ball. My son's 17th bday this morning, just now. I called the store and advised the team what had happened. They are so awesome and kick ass they apologized and then one of the team mates of the store dropped the donuts ?? ?? off. Good job saving the day yall and the donuts were right on time!

We ordered a Wakers dozen and a dozen munchies. The assortment was awesome. I almost wish there were labels because the selection was huge, they were all delicious but I couldn?t tell you what flavors they were. We ended up with a few extras and who doesn?t love extra donuts? They were all so fresh and perfectly fluffy. The munchies were bigger than expected, fried fish perfection with just the right a light of glaze. So much better than any chain store. We will most certainly order again!

The apple fritter was good, but nothing else was edible. Worst sausage breakfast sandwich, took one bite and the awful taste is still lingering.

Can never say enough about this place. Great customer service and staff. Food is great. Doughnuts are fantastic. Protein Bowl is yummy, as well as the Burrito and breakfast sandwich ?? I think its truly one if the best places in Denver for your money. You will never be unsatisfied, they are always constantly great! So Far, lol. Thats hard to find

I stopped by this shop on my way out of Denver for some breakfast and it was the best start to my 12 hour road trip! I love how they display their donuts, the variety that they offer, as well as fun options. The prices are very affordable ranging $1.25-2 per donut and they offer sausage rolls!! As a Texan I was pretty excited to see this as an option and their take on it was EXCELLENT. Good dough and a great hefty sausage that doesn?t skimp. Good crumb on the donuts. Pro tip: get the cream cheese croissant

Super yummy Got it to go because the shop was hot but nice and clean All the donuts were great highly recommend the orange one.

Amazing donut and SUCH A NICE STAFF. Gave us a free cup of ice cream! Breakfast sandwich was also good and everything was priced well. Was a little worried by the name that it would be a typical overpriced new business with a staff that doesn?t care but they were so incredibly kind and you could tell they cared about us. Come in and get a donut and some ice cream you won?t regret it!

It is excellent and I love the bagels. This could be the perfect donut for the right person, especially if you aren?t immune to things being ?too sweet?. The 4 stars is personal opinion since I?ll always be a Shipleys man at heart, it?s just the bestest, but there is less icing on these making it better when the sweet tooth isn?t quite as aggressive that day. I?ll keep ordering especially for the bagels.

What a bummer experience today. I went to Baked N? Denver this morning to pick up some food for my Wife and I and was very disappointed. I got a chorizo wrap for nearly $10 and it was about 4inches large (see picture). My wife got bacon and egg wrap and when we got home we noticed it was sausage so got the wrong order? she couldn?t eat it. We got doughnut holes, and they are stale. Very bummed. Couldn?t go back.

I remember the first time we went here the glazed donut was great. Went again and maybe the quality has declined? The fritter was over baked, raised donut just lacked flavor, and the kolache bread was basically a hot dog bun, entirely missing the brioche flavor and consistency. We were disappointed. They?re very friendly staff with great service, and the donuts are visually stunning, but unfortunately I?m unlikely to come here again or recommend it to others. We try to support the local shops but honestly t

Super cool local place with breakfast sandwiches and lots of donuts ??. Small seating area inside. Lots of people grab it to go. We will come here again. Staff were super nice. ?? ?? ?? ??

Best damn donuts in town. The end. And the buttermilk bar... while it is rectangular and doesn't fit on the donut wall - it is perfection. Customer service is stellar. Always on time for event orders. And I love a place that is so good they sell out every day. Says something to me!

Very popular Saturday late morning. The people working there were super friendly to customers and each other, which is always so nice. The donuts looked amazing, but opted for a croissant, which wasn?t bad. Definitely enjoyed the iced dark roast coffee. Look forward to trying this place out again!

Easily top 5 Donuts in the State! Service is always fast and friendly! Try the Kolache, you won't regret it!!!

Do not come here if you want a great breakfast burrito. Basically you get a microwaved burrito from meh ingredients but the doughnuts must be amazing for this place to still be open.

First off, the workers have always been nothing but wonderful with me and I love the shop. Now what a lot of others have touched on?Doughnuts are hit and miss. I have had some of THE best doughnuts from here, but also some not so great ones. I would suggest people take the chance in coming, but wish there was more consistency in the products. My three favorite doughnuts: 1. Cr?me br?l?e was a lovely caramelized cracking shell one week, then a gloppy mess that isn?t even soft ball stage the next. This happe

Today was my second time here. The first time I got an iced coffee which was OK not bad but not great and I got a blueberry fritter..... today I got a crumb raised donut. SOOOOO GOOD! The fritter was crispy and delicious. The crumb raised was so fluffy and light. Their donuts are not greasy like some places. Really really good place to get a treat.

I have ordered DoorDash from Baked in Denver many, many times. I usually order the Bakers dozen as I did today and pretty happy when open the box and bite into one of the donuts. Disappointed when got the donuts this morning as they tasted at least 2 days old. Not good!!!- will choose a different donut shop next time!

Highly recommend this place. It?s a cute little shop where there used to be a donut shop. Best place for a croissant breakfast. The donuts are delicious, everyone working here is super friendly and the coffee is amazing. ??

Since visiting, they have been the MOST HELPFUL & AMAZING! btw- coconut flaked donut is by far, chefs kiss! Girlie In the front was such a doll! Love it! ??

WOW. just warmed up(in the oven) one of their blueberry glazed donuts. 9.1/10, paired with my afternoon coffee, 9.4 combo.

Last week we stopped in and I had an Apple fritter and hot coffee. They were great! The best apple fritter I have had in a long time. Lots of apple and the right amount of cinnamon.

The pastries are good but if you want to have good day, skip the bagels. They taste like grocery store bagels that have been frozen for a year and then microwaved. It also seemed dirty inside and there were a lot of flies.

Amazing little breakfast shop and UNPARALLELED staff and customer service. Seriously, one of the friendliest experiences I?ve had in Denver that will keep me coming back and back again. Be sure to get there early before the kolaches sell out and try the cherry almond latte!

$10 + tip for this breakfast sandwich? Robbery. Gross too. Bagel not toasted. Sloppy and tastes bad.

Nice people, delicious donuts! Best apple fritter! Nicely spiced glazed pumpkin cake donut! Yummy!

These donuts are great! I'm not even a yeast donut girlie - I like my cake donuts, but this place singlehandedly changed my mind. Their chocolate glazed is simple yet perfect; nice and fluffy, and not too greasy. The breakfast sandwiches are nothing special, but still good regardless. My partner loves the boston creme. A little expensive for an individual donut, but given that the donuts are a decent size it's worth it. I will say that a dozen or two dozen here is priced much better than other shops!

To go donuts and sandwiches are packaged extremely poorly and ruins the experience of eating. Could do basic things like use tissue to wrap donuts so they don't all smear one one another. Also, the everything bagle barely has any seasoning on it.

While they may not be the best doughnuts in town, they are consistent and have a really wide selection of doughnuts(mostly fairly basic). Still real good though.

I can?t and won?t speak of their breakfast foods but their doughnuts are simply phenomenal. The best doughnuts in Denver. Both times I?ve gone past 3 and they?re always so good. Anytime I?m in the area i have to grab one. Plain cake, glaze and the cinnamon crunch are my favorites.

Saw the glowing reviews of their vegan donuts and decided to try and come here on a Sunday morning. They no longer sell vegan donuts according to the employee. Huge bummer and missed opportunity.

Really good breakfast sandwiches and donuts! The coffee doesn't suck either, unlike most donut shops.

I absolutely love the cherry and blueberry fritters (haven't tried apple yet). The hot sandwiches are delicious as well. The staff is very friendly. I've never had a bad item from them. A must stop while in Denver

What a fun place. It?s just a tiny little shop, but it has fantastic pastries that they make themselves, and excellent breakfast options.

I live right next to this place and I?ve stopped going because each time I go it takes 10+ minutes to get a coffee or anything more complex than a pre-baked item. The donuts are pretty good and the other baked items too. I did have the clean breakfast bowl once and they gave me a store bought cup of guacamole as my side, which was pretty ghetto for the price they charge. Today my wife and I got a coffee and left before they began to make it because it had been 20 minutes of waiting. The staff acts like they

Ordered a hot chai latte and a creme br?l?e donut. Chai tasted and smelled like sour milk, donut was far from br?l?ed and simply had a thick glaze on it. Won?t be coming back.

The coffee tasted like it was 3 days old. Literally just threw it away. Most services I get I all go with dealers choice. Usually something they like, and probably a favorite. Had the most basic sandwich on a plain bagel. The donut was good though. Worst $18 I've ever spent.

First time customer. Ordered for my office?s Friday breakfast - 25 ppl. They LOVED it and could not stop raving about BnD! I almost had to break up a fight over Bavarian Creme! Numerous people said it was better than that place that rhymes with Zulu. We will be back! Thank you for making such delicious donuts!

I'm normally not one to leave reviews, but I love this place so much I need to give it credit. The staff are extremely nice, patient, and communicative. The donuts are top tier, and I love their breakfast bagel sandwiches (if you like spicy I highly recommend spicing up your next sandwich there)! When I'm having a rough day this is the first place I think of to go to so my day can significantly improve. I'm scared of this place becoming too popular that there will be a line around the block the next time I

OMGee! Above & beyond customer service! Placed an order from Cinci for my Denver sister?s birthday & included that it was her birthday? you know, just in case. ;) You wrote a special birthday message on the box & included a birthday decoration & it was so perfect!! Thank you, thank you for the extra love you put into this order. Little things like this? can?t wait to visit you in person on my next trip to Denver!

What a treat. Super friendly staff. Delicious food. Just all around great choice to come here. Check it out!

I don?t often eat donuts but when I do, Bake N Denver is my top choice. I love that their donuts are not super sweet, but don?t worry, they?re plenty sweet enough. My favorite is of course raised sugar donuts because they?re always the least sweet. I also love their raspberry filled donuts, the raspberry jam actually is tart instead of plain sweet. You have to try their peanut butter glazed as well, it?s actually lightly salted peanut butter instead of of the weird sweetened version. Their donuts are always

My daughter and I were in the area so we stopped by for coffee. It was our first time there. I was surprised to find Cinnamon Crumb Cake donuts. I haven't seen those in years. When I was younger they came in a box of 12, four cinnamon crumb cake donuts, four chocolate covered and four powdered donuts. They tasted just like I remember. Also, the place was clean the staff was friendly and the donuts are fresh and made here in Denver. I plan on stopping by for coffee and my favorite donut every time I am in th

Pretty pricey for a dozen donuts and I order a small chai that cost close to $5 and it taste like milk. Literally the same color as my cup.

They are open!! We moved across the street a few weeks ago and were bummed thinking they had closed. But we walked by this afternoon and the sweet guy stayed open just to let us buy some donuts. We got a few of the glazed and they were delicious?they were still warm, the texture is perfection and taste so fresh!

These guys are homies and the donuts are always fluffy, right amount of sweet for the glaze!

This review hurts to write but all can ask myself is, what happened here? I?ve been going to this donut shop at least twice a month for years and it has always been great. Today was like entering the twilight zone. I?ve seen the same staff every visit but didn?t recognize anyone today. Ordered to-go and after getting home noticed I was given the wrong donut and a breakfast sandwich made completely different than normal (which was not good). I feel bad criticizing the new staff who were nice, but it?s prett

UPDATE**** We decided to visit this place again after the original owner sold it, let me tell you I am beyond disappointed! The staff looked like they didn't want to be there, the atmosphere was just very off-putting. I almost had a heart attack when I looked at menu, our favorite wraps went from $5 to $9, and then the donut prices went from reasonable to outrageous! $5 for a fritter!! $4 for a maple bar! We bought a dozen donut holes for $6 which used to be $4, and trust me they were NOT worth it, stal

We used to go here all the time but decided that it?s no longer worth it. Today, they started closing down 1.5 hours before their actual closing time and did not seem to want to make any of our food to the extent that the breakfast wraps we ordered barely had any egg in them and mine was missing sausage entirely. My husband also couldn?t order coffee because they were already in the middle of cleaning the coffee machine for the day. I completely understand why the employees would want to start closing up ea

Absolutely, stunningly delicious housemade donuts. Fresh, warm, tasty, they're ridiculous in all the best ways. I noticed that they even have seasonal ones throughout the year - the cherry fritter right now is just so good. The staff is also incredibly polite! They're fun to talk to, and go out of their way to make customers feel good. It's the best little donut spot in Denver.

Place used to be good but they just gave me a stale, cold coffee and I had to wait 15 minutes for my farmhouse sandwich, despite being first in line because Dude was smoking his vape on the patio instead of manning the grill. Asked for a refund on the coffee and they took my name and number down instead of just refunding.

Delicious fresh donuts served by very friendly staff! Came in before 6AM on a weekday. There was already a small line but that's just more time to see what's in the case. They offer a wide variety of classic raised, cake, and filled donuts as well as bars, rolls, and kolaches. There is a full coffee menu too. The donut flavors are more traditional which I really liked. Got a half dozen raised donuts, a chocolate iced cake donut, and black coffee. Cake donut was outstanding! Crispy outside with a soft center

Used to come here for a few years. I miss the hours and the donuts. I used to come here at midnight or 3am and always get fresh donuts. I really liked the night crew. They where the donuts that raised my expectation for donuts. The new hours are ridiculous and because of my schedule I can't even come in if I wanted too. But the last time I went the donuts where just not the same anymore. What I mean by that is they used to be godly fluffy on the inside and had a nice almost crunch on the outside. Prices cha

Tried this place for the first time. Ordered the protein bowl, the site and their chalkboard in store described it as ?3 eggs, 3 sliced bacon strips and 1 sliced sausage patty topped with avocado and spinach.? And it cost about $13. When I got home it was maybe 2 eggs, the tiniest shred of what I think was turkey bacon, a tiny amount of a sliced up, fairly tasteless sausage, a sliver of an avocado and several spinach leaves. It was pathetic to say the least. Very disappointing, felt line one of the biggest

Kolaches are apparently the specialty. They had them at 9:30 am on a Friday but run out fast on weekends. I had 'jalapeno and sausage', only found one small jalapeno slice; otherwise it was a very al dente brat in a blanket. Breakfast sandwich I had before was unremarkable, donuts look like typical sugar bombs.

The food was pretty bad. I got a maple donut and the bread had little flavor. The texture was very similar to dunkin. The burrito i got was worse though. The eggs were very overcooked, honestly can't say i've seen someone mess up eggs that badly. Besides that, there was easy parking, and great service. If for some reason you like their donuts, they have a wide selection to choose from.

There are still a couple things I need to try off the menu but i am sometimes be basic and just get what i know i like. Which so far is everything i have tried from Wake N Bake! They are also so nice and accommodating. Its clean and everything is SO fresh! The donuts are full and fluffy. I also love that they have more than donuts. It's hard not to eat here all the time since my work is next door but I'm okay with that.

Donuts are good, but the sausage patties are incredibly mediocre and flavorless on the sausage egg and cheese bagel. Not sure if they are getting from a new distributor or not, but I don?t remember them being that bland.

What's better than coffee and donuts? Well, a place that does an amazing job on both. Best donuts I have had in a while.

I used to love coming here. It closed and reopened with new owners. Now everything I loved about this place is now gone except for the friendly employees. Don't expect to get the maple bacon eclair this place is famous for. Along with any other pork products you know and love. Although there are changes I'm not a fan of, everything else seems to be mostly the same and delicious still.

As a small business owner myself, I hate leaving negative reviews for other small businesses but this place has gone down hill a bit in terms of quality. They used to have the BEST breakfast sandwiches - now your only choice for cheese is American (eww) and only turkey bacon!? Here?s some advice: cutting corners and trying to go cheap on ingredients is only going to lead to losing customers. Get the quality back up where it needs to be and your sales will improve.

I randomly ordered from this place this morning and was absolutely blown away! Donuts are absolutely delicious and their breakfast sandwiches actually filled my teenagers up! I love the option to add veggies to the sandwich and the fresh juices are worth every penny! Trust me get the 20oz carrot/orange juice it?s spectacular!!!! Also the coffee was so tasty no cream or sugar needed when eating with the donuts. This place absolutely blows any chain or grocery bakery out of the water. Will be our go to place

Cute little shop to get your donuts and some breakfast bites. They have delicious coffees but the wait can sometimes be long. However, if you have the time, definitely stop on by and grab yourself with donut from this place.

Used to be just on the weekends they sold vegan donuts but often they wouldn't have any even then. Bummer to see they've stopped offering vegan donuts at all now..

Ordered delivery on a late Saturday morning and they were out of a few things, understandably. For the inconvenience, they gave extra of other donuts I had ordered and added a couple plain glazed. Great customer service. Quality of the donuts was also superb. Would definitely recommend.

This place is great for a quick breakfast sandwich and the staff is really great, they let us try to the new soft serve ice cream machine and it?s wonderful, definitely try the ice cream, too.

Wow! I LOVE donuts. I?ve been all over the country eating donuts, but I spend most of my time in Denver, CO. This state is NOT known for donuts. It?s very hard to find a good and affordable donut, you?re usually paying $4-$6 for a ?fancy? donut that isn?t even that good. So when I saw a ?new? donut shop in place of the Winchell?s that used to be here, I knew I had to give it a shot. I went in thinking ?I?ll try 4 donuts, don?t want to spent to much? and to my amaze, monday-Thursday they have BOGO 12-2pm Th

While it is a small place with a tight parking lot, the menu items here are indeed yummy and well worth the trip. Although the staff was busy (Sunday morning), they took time to treat each customer (and delivery drivers, too!) as individuals, and dare I say, entertained them them. I will be back, especially for the ham and cheese kolache and the chocolate cake donut.

Nice selection of donuts! Only reason for giving 4 stars is I stood in front of cake donuts, asked for a coconut one and got home to find out I was given a raised donut with coconut - disappointing since I already ordered a glazed raised donut and wanted to try a cake variety. Next time I'll watch closer what is going into the bag.

Really solid place, but only having turkey bacon and turkey sausage holds the breakfast items back. They could be great, but they're just okay. The donuts and pastries are great though.

Hidden gem of South Broadway! At first I thought this place was just a re-branded Winchell's, but it's so much more and so much better than that. It's its own unique shop with interesting flavors and classic combinations. The savory selection is extra fun as well if you don't only want to go with sweet treats. I love the buttermilk bars (either maple or glazed!) and the peanut butter jelly donut. Don't miss this spot!
