Love this local gem! Recently, they switched up how they cooked their eggs for the breakfast sandwiches and it is a million times better? less messy, better texture, and great taste. The atmosphere is really cozy and colorful and great for going with friends, reading, or doing a bit of work. They have a little patio out back which I love in the summer/fall! Additionally, the owner and employees are highly empathetic and have shown kindness and care to people and families in need who have come through the ar
I had the pleasure of getting a close look at the process of working here for a day and, to my surprise, as a non-coffee drinker for most of my life, this place made me love coffee! Their espresso is top notch. Super smooth and when I finished my latte I wished I had another! I?m usually someone who likes a little coffee in my sugar but I tried it unsweetened and enjoyed every sip! That?s how you know it?s legit! Ryan and Dave are both very kind and genuine people and it was a pleasure to shadow them and sp
Used to live around this neighborhood. If you looking for the bagels, So here?s the right place to try. I like it simple. Lox and BEC with Garlic bagel are the best one for me. ??
Highly recommend: the bagels here are really good. They are really load and taste great. Had hangover helper and big ed, both great. Only downside is it's hard to eat without getting messy, yet delicious. The atmosphere is really nice as well.
I had some extra time to spend in the area and came across the shop. Everything was great, food, service and the atmosphere. I appreciated the opportunity to talk with the owner about his journey in making bagels. I can?t wait to get back and try other sandwiches.
Bagels, donuts, schmears and (bagel) sandwiches in this cute, little, corner nook bakery. Fresh squeezed juice and also coffee offerings. Excellent and quick service every time. A bit $$ but sandwiches are loaded with enough ingredients?I usually have leftovers to snack on later. There?s patio seating in back and limited and somewhat tight indoor seating.
Sweet cream latte is great! All bagels are fantastic but the Mikey is my fave.
I stopped by for lunch while shopping in Lincoln Square and was pleasantly surprised as I've never been here before. The atmosphere is super cute, the staff was incredibly nice, and the bagel sandwich the Northsider was awesome. Seriously, probably the best bagel sandwich I've ever had. The vanilla latte was delicious too. Looking forward to coming back!
A friend and I came here recently and both had the lox. They do not skimp on the lox. The bagels were delicious and the iced green tea was pretty good too. Every time I come here which is not that often, the person taking orders seems to hate being there. The service isn't very friendly but its fast.
Really, really great bagels. I?ve only ever gotten a standard bagel with cream cheese. Sometimes less is more. Their menu is great and bagel selection small but amazing! I like their cinnamon raisin, garlic onion, and egg bagels. Also, they have some funky cream cheese flavors that I would like to try. Try ?em out and don?t be afraid to try their sandwiches! They all look delicious and unique. I?ll try next time I?m in.
Delicious bagels. Super nice staff- the chef took time to explain all their different gluten free options. I really liked the everything bagel and cinnamon crunch bagel. I had the pho sandwich on an everything bagel and it was very good! The beef was a little rare for my personal taste (I just prefer cold roast beef a little more done), but it was exactly as described on the menu (a perfect medium-rare) and very flavorful. The drink options are great too- they had a very good kombucha. And the Doughboy was
Coffee was good. I have the elote grits which were sooooo delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals. I love the ambiance and the staff was really nice. The three meals with three coffees came out to 52 dollars. Not sure if I feel like it?s pricy because it was really delicious and I think it was organic so it was a good choice. My friend said the salad dressing was great. And the biscuits and gravy were Super scrumptious.
I?ve heard a lot about this place and finally went in. What I found was a pretty decent but unremarkable eating experience surrounded by lots of eclectic cafe flair reminiscent of a pop up, Instagram bar. I had a cappuccino with zero artistry and my friend had a tasty kombucha that came in a bottle that you can pour into a mason jar. For my breakfast I had the sausage maple cheddar biscuit. I underestimated the biscuit portion which was easily my least favorite part, but I just don?t like biscuits. My frie
Food was good but service was odd. Acting like they didnt want to be there and we?re inconveniencing them. Closed the kitchen ?30 min early? at 35 min early and turning people away for food. EDIT: Hey dave, sorry I wasn't clear. Kitchen closed 35 min early, not the shop. I appreciate the offer, but not necessary. I'll be back for another try. Thanks for following up. (also bagelmiller.com seems to be offline, and I don't see kitchen hours listed on the orda.me site either)
Originally from NJ, whole family is from NY, this place is legit. Also, thank god for a place with Onion bagels!
Always incredible bagels and toppings. You cannot go wrong with any. Warm chocolate chip cookies are crack in disc form. I?m a bit of a connoisseur and they are the best I?ve ever had.
So growing up on the North Shore I was blessed with amazing jewish deli's all around #spoiled. I'm happy to announce instead of getting bagels in the burbs I can drive 5 minutes to Lincoln Square for our weekend bagel fix. My New Yorker husband also approves ? We've worked our way through the whole menu and recommend them ALL, but the sleeper favorite: cinnamon sugar bagel with plain cream cheese. ?? It's like grown up cinnamon toast crunch with cream cheese ?? We also catered the pastrami platter with an a
I love the delicious Bagels and Lox I totally forgot to grab my juice after I had some issues paying with cash and change. Its my fault for Paying with a 50$ but i needed to break it. I felt like an idiot. D'OH Stopped by after walking around and had a great meal THanks for everything Bagel Miller Bagel Bae
So I ordered via Grubhub, therefore I can't rate or comment in the aervice or Atmosphere. The rating is purely for my food experience. The Southsider breakfast sandwich has some of the BEST pastrami I've had in the city. Oh my god. Smokey, flavorful and fall apart tender, pairs so well with the homeade giardenera cream cheese. The NOLA Iced Coffee will be diffwrent for those not used to coffee with Chikory, but it pairs supwr well with the hazelnut syrup, and the sandwich. Fantastic meal to start my day.
The bagels are so good, I came back the very next day! Truly don?t sleep on this place. They make a fantastic bagel and even better sandwiches. LOVE this spot.
A neighborhood gem! Everything I've had is delicious. I especially love their breakfast bagels. A really wonderful small business.
Popped in for a snack after a library run with my kiddo. I was delighted to find egg bagels! I swear no one has them anymore. Great bagels, apple fitter and good coffee! I?m already planning my return for sandwiches and the back patio. ??
The bagel I ordered was sesame with extra chive cream cheese. There was not much cream cheese spread on the bagel at all. Also, after ordering coffee I was not told it was self serve so was a bit confused waiting for it. There are better bagel with cream cheese options near Lincoln square so that was my last visit in.
Delicious bagels, sides, coffee?always. Adorable place to relax or meet friends and right in the square. Amazing owners and be sure to order the holiday pies!
Baker Miller is one of our favorite places in Lincoln Square. Whenever we are in town we make sure to come by for breakfast. The lox sandwich is a perfect combination of light and filling. It's one of those meals that makes you feel like you're starting the day off right! The coffee isn't our favorite (it's a little too acidic tasting as we prefer bold/dark coffee) but it's still yummy and pairs well with breakfast! We also love the outdoor dining area and the art hanging in the restaurant!
Had a wonderful holiday weekend brunch with take & bake cinnamon rolls from Bagel Miller! Easy to order, quick to pick up, simple to bake, and a perfect warm treat in the morning! And the icing was soooo good.
I?ve come in an handful of times and have always been satisfied! Good bagels, good ambiance, nice people. I?m very glad to have a good local bagel shop.
The doughboys are very good, they go for $3 a piece. When was there they had an Oreo and a caramel apple. The Oreo was a bit deceiving I didn't taste any resemblance but was still very good. Seating is hard to find, it's a pretty small place so try to go during week. The toast bar looked unimpressive, would stick to a pastry or other menu item.
Dined in on a Friday morning. I had the Elote Hash. The menu says this comes with a "soft egg" but I asked the nice man at the counter if they could give me an over easy egg instead as I'm totally opposed to runny egg whites. He said it was cool and had the cook (owner?) come over and show him how to adjust my egg preference on the tablet. When the dish came, that egg yolk was hard. Like chalky hard. He fried that thing all the way through. My boyfriend ordered the Egg & Bacon biscuit with a side of potato
Love this neighborhood gem! Their avocado toast is my favorite. And I cant resist the baked goods either! One of my go-to spots in Lincoln Square. I?m also appreciate of the efforts they?ve taken to keep their customers and employees safe during the pandemic.
This place is decorated well inside and has a fun selection of sandwiches. The bagels we got, and the donut, were just okay, and overall a little plain.
I have been wanting to come to Baker Miller for a year now. I looked over the menu online and ordered the toast plate, which came with three types of bread. There was a butter and jar bar that came with the toast plate. The staff was helpful and kind.
Excellent bagels in a really cute spot. Love the comfy booths and there?s a nice patio outback too!
Got the eggs and bacon sandwich. The eggs were runny -reading reviews after the fact, I guess it's egg "custard"?- too runny for a sandwich. Some bacon strips were cooked but others were still translucent. It was take-out so I couldn't send it back. My order came out way too fast and I guess undercooking is the reason why. Crossing my fingers I don't get sick from this. The plus was the tater tots. Those were great even after some time in a box they remained crunchy.
Great first visit. Bagels are fresh and yummy!!! I had the lox. Yummmmm. The coffee was awesome. Staff are nice and friendly.
Visited this lovely Bagel Bar in September. The bagels are delicious, fresh and crispy. Staff is great! Cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!!!
I have always passed by this place several times but never been in here once until October 20th when I went out with one of my friends. Initially before coming here I had to make sure they had gluten free options because my friend cannot consume gluten. My friend and I were happy that they have gluten free bagels! Definitely the store had a lot of options to choose from. I got the northsider sandwich and my friend got the joni sandwich (with the gluten free bagel). It was super good and honestly my first ti
Don?t bother ordering ahead on a weekend. No separate pick up line, and after waiting for fifteen minutes in the main line we were told our order (which we placed forty minutes prior) wouldn?t be ready for another 20 minutes. They refunded because we couldn?t wait that much longer but I feel like more could have been done. We won?t be returning, which is a bummer because their bagels are really good.
Admittedly I was one of those people who went around saying, ?Chicago doesn?t have good bagels?. Man, did Bagel Miller make me look dumb in the best way possible. Their bacon, egg and cheese is phenomenal, but ?The Southsider? is truly something special. It came on a deliciously chewy everything bagel, with thick cut pastrami and giardinera schmear?wow. That sandwich made me a believer that ?Chicago Style? bagels can totally be a thing!
I?ve eaten at a lot of bagel shops in Chicago and New York City and this is one of my all-time favorites! Good luck finding one better in Chicago!
Great little gem in Lincoln Square. I had a bagel with lox and it was fantastic! Recommended!
Love getting bagel sandwiches here after shopping. Staff are awesome and sandwiches are delicious.
Their bagel sandwiches are DELISH! They don't skim on the schmear either. This cute bakery / coffee shop has a great selection of sandwiches and some wonderful pastries. Their ruby chocolate chip cookies are also legit.
Edit: I really appreciate Dave reaching out and taking the time to investigate the issue. I stopped in again today and Dave was there himself making sure things were going smoothly and trying to figure out what the issue was. He even comped my sandwich to make up for the last mistake. With that kind of care and attention, it?s clear this place really cares about their quality and their customers. Thanks guys! If ordering takeout, double check that it?s correct before you leave. I go here every other Saturd
Something changed. Came for donuts and embarrassingly I know all sorts of donuts. These were for sure from jewel osco. I almost want to go to jewel to get a side by side picture to prove my case. Absolutely trash donuts. Sad to see because I really enjoy this place. Their bagel sandwiches are still good but damn, bakery fell off the face of the planet.
The best bagel sandwich, coffee and the staff is very friendly. 10/10 no notes.
Killer food. A lot for the price. Coffee is strong but not bitter. High key recommend the brown sugar coconut cream cold brew and NYC egg bagel. And anything with Lox!! They pile that on :)
Place is good, but doesn?t open until 9am on weekends! A bagel shop needs to be open by 7am!
Bagel Miller is the best bagel in Chicago. This location is perfect for co-working as well, with lots of outlets and good light/windows. The coffee is also delicious. Thank you Bagel Miller team!
Me and my wife love coming here whenever we?re in Chicago. The food is incredible and the staff is very kind!
My husband and I have started to make a habit of coming here regularly on the weekends! I love the chewy interior yet crispy exterior of the bagel. I?ve had the Lox and the NYC with bacon. I keep wanting to try their more unique sandwiches too but the classics are so good! We always get their blueberry muffin too which is packed with blueberries and the perfect sweet sidekick to the bagels. Highly recommend everyone checks this place out!
We started going right when they opened up as Bagel Miller. I can say that they have significantly improved since then and the food is delicious. We don?t exactly live close by but are there quite frequently. They recently revamped the bagel recipe and it is noticeably different in an amazing way. Still a chewy exterior but softer and enjoyable to eat. I love the Lox and KISS. My husband lovessss the one with pastrami. Highly recommend checking them out and getting an iced NOLA coffee while you?re at it.
Cute local shop. Indoor/outdoor seating. Good breakfast options and 2 breads made daily, some pastries. Avocado toast was pretty, yummy, and filling for a few hours!
Next to the train kinda of vibe. Bagels fresh. Coffee ??. Would eat here again.
Bagel Miller has delicious bagels and sandwiches and the cutest cafe to go with them. The outdoor patio is great in the summer, with umbrellas to provide some shade. I also love the fact that you dispense your coffee on your own. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
I appreciate the refund, but what a colossal disappointment. To go from a Michelin mentioned restaurant to a bagel joint was already a big switch, but I got the pastrami bagel (I had gotten before) today and it was positively disgusting...clearly untrimmed with globs of fat, mushy, cut with the grain so it was tough strings, just awful. This poor quality control is the last straw. I can't believe it's come to this.
Great local bagel shop! Love their bagel sandwiches and hash browns.
Bagel Miller has been a longtime fave and is a hidden gem for anyone checking out Chicago. If you're into yummy, creative spins on classic eats, this spot's a must-visit. I've never left disappointed ? my stomach and heart are always happy and filled after a visit. The staff is super friendly, and the vibes are on point ? they've got killer tunes playing and a sweet patio to chill on.
I love this place! My favorite bagels in the city and the pastrami is soooo good. All the bagel sandwiches are so good, super interesting flavor combinations and they nail all the textures. Juice, salty meat, perfect bagels, intriguing cream cheese flavors, etc. The vibes are always good and the inside is so cute.
Their gluten free bagels are literally just store bought Udi's bagels. Purchased some gluten free bagels to go and they came in the Udi's plastic wrapper. Appreciate you attempting to provide gluten free bagels, but it's very misleading. If you are going to sell another company's (not so great) bagels in your bagel store, that should be disclosed on the menu. Otherwise a nice experience.
Every time I'm back in Lincoln Square, visiting this shop is an absolute necessity. Every bagel tastes like the perfect hangover cure
Absolutely incredible chewy bagels. Sandwiches are unique and packed full of fresh ingredients. They do not skimp on the meats!! I used to live in NY and these bagels are the best ones I?ve found since moving. Highly recommend!!
The bagels are not very good, I was missing a slightly crustier outside. I got a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. The eggs tasted fine but the sandwich is built in a way that's messy to eat - the eggs fall off the sides because of their soft scramble. I also forgot to ask for my bagel to be toasted, but the person taking orders didn't ask, either, which seems like common practice for a bagel shop. Table wobbled so much that my coffee spilled. Overpriced in my opinion.
The hot veggie bagel is fire ??
Perhaps we just got un lucky and ordered the wrong things on the wrong day/time, the southern was too salty and the Joni didn?t taste good to us, and the sandwich was messy, bagel was very hard, took a lot to take a bite without making a mess Service was great and quick, food was hot and a good portion, got a table right away even though the place was busy. It was our first time and we drove for 30 minutes to check this place out because the reviews were all amazing. So we will come back and try it one m
Staff is very friendly, food is delicious, music is boombastic. The ingredients are fresh and they now serve La Colombe coffee. Sandwiches are generous and the bagels are the best I?ve had this side of the Appalachians.
Have never been disappointed by the food here. Baked goods, bagels, everything is delicious. Also love the vegan cream cheese option. Owners are also super invested in the community and the area, we love to see it.
This place is SO CUTE!! Truly a hidden gem, they have adorable backyard patio and are gluten free and vegan friendly!!! Affordable coffee too and the food is truly fire highly recommend
My husband and I were visiting Chicago and a friend of mine that lives there took us to this place for lunch. They graciously served us about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, which we were thankful for. The interior is beautiful! And the fact that they ask for your vaccination card is extremely attractive to me. The food was delicious, as well as the coffee. I had a biscuit sandwich with veggies and a side salad. The only odd thing was that the lettuce was very, very cold. I also bought a chive cheddar
delicious bagel and coffee. love the lox and the pastrami id out if this world.
Love the southsider bagel so much! Delicious pastrami and giardinera cream cheese - yummy! Bagel Miller is a very family friendly spot with delicious bagels. My kids enjoy the food and love watching the el go by. We come about once a month and love it every time!
Great food and owners who really care about their workers and the community they serve. A place I always stop when I?m in the neighborhood!!
Friendly service and tasty breakfast sandwiches. Really wanted to like it more. Two things stood out to us though. One, the texture of the bagels was closer to a focaccia. Two, when we ordered a bagel with strawberry schmear for our two-year old, we received a bagel with plain cream cheese and lots of strawberry jam slapped on top. That was a pretty big miss for us as that?s not a schmear.
Love Baker Miller Bagels - loved it since it was just Baker Miller. They?re so friendly and everything is delicious. My kids love it too. Such fond memories of my babies ordering sides of smoked salmon and dough boys!
I really want to love this place. The old location was great, but I feel like they sacrificed something when they moved closer into the Square. Staff is awesome, coffee is great. But, I got the same dish I've ordered a million times before, and as other reviews have mentioned, the food was cold. It came out much much faster than at the old place. But, honestly, I always enjoyed the time it took. The portions appeared to be smaller, and they had changed sliced fresh avocado to a scoop of sort of brownish gua
Love this spot! I went to their original location on Western many years ago; so happy to see they're still thriving! Their current location went through a beautiful renovation and the inside is so cute! It's great when a company reinvests in themselves to make the customer experience more enjoyable. Sucks that the masks indoors are coming back but I respect their decisions on how to keep their staff and customers safe by having outdoor seating and a to go window. Food is phenomenal, my favorites are the elo
Always delicious and I love supporting a small business that does so much to support the community, like meal donations for good causes. Their shop in revival food hall downtown is a great spot for a quick bite before work too!
These bagels are so delicious. Also love their coffee! Generally pretty quick to get your food after you order. Good space if you want to dine in, or take to go if you are in a hurry.
The food was good but too cold. Customer service is poor as they did not acknowledge the complaint I made. Hopefully no one gets sick from the meat.
I live nearby and have walked past this place many times since it opened. Based on the very trendy aesthetic and design, I assumed this would be a place one goes to Instagram their meal rather than a place that?s serious about baking delicious bagels. Despite the off-putting branding, I decided to take a look at the reviews on Google to see what others are saying. Even though there were some negative reviews (and very snarky responses to customers from the owner), I decided to visit for lunch on a Sunday.
I could not have had a better experience here. The pastrami was incredibly rich and tasty, while the fig and prosciutto was incredibly well-balance. The service was fantastic and speedy, even though they are very busy. I will definitely be going back and much appreciate what they do and what they offer.
Brought friends here who were visiting from out of town. It was my first time coming since they switched from Baker Miller to Bagel Miller. One of my friends has allergies and even though there?s a certificate of being allergy safe on the wall, they refused to work with my friend?s allergies. His fianc? ordered a beverage that never came, we had to ask for, and was about to be made with the incorrect milk. And to top it all off, the person at the register was on her phone the whole time we were there. This
This place is great! The service is fantastic and everyone is exceptionally nice. Highly recommend.
I have gotten a few bagel sandwiches over the year but I went back when I heard they changed their bagels. I am a bit of a bagel snob being from the east coast and it was a 10/10! I got the hangover sandwich and it was so yummy and not too chewy. Will be back in my rotation for sure!
Some of my favorite bagels. Great with kids. We love stopping by and getting bagels to go and head to the park. I just wish the food stall at revival food hall opened earlier for work days to get my fix during the week
Excellent experience! Great food/ great service. Can?t wait to return.
Phenomenal bagel sandwich! I had the pastrami on a sesame bagel?perfect. The bagel itself was the definition of a perfect bagel: perfectly crunchy on the outside (especially satisfying on a sandwich), and soft and chewy on the inside. Pastrami was thick and delicious. Congrats on the new concept y?all , it?s amazing!
Sandwiches are big and delicious. We got a Northsider and Southsider on everything bagels. Can?t wait to go back and try more. Service is polite and fast. Also, they?ve got, the best, Dr. Brown?s sodas. Bagel Miller is a great deli option!
