Azucar Bakery & Cafe

Two things to keep in mind before you visit Azucar: 1) Either you need to be good at speaking Spanish or good at pointing at things. 2) This place is small, so don?t bring your family and expect to have a sit-down style meal. Three tables, 6-7 chairs total. After pointing to a ham & cheese croissant sandwich, I was directed, by finger, to pay at the cash register. What a hidden gem. Love the god and the coffee is exceptional. This is a must visit in my opinion. Friendly staff and good food.

Cozy place. Small BUT great!! The girl serving us (I guess she's the owner?) definitely puts her heart into what she does. We had breakfast (best coffee we've ever tasted!). So many people coming in to take their breakfast home, or for a quick zip and delicious cuban pastry to take and continue their car drive. That tells you people love this place. :)

Despite the fact that the place is small, in flavor everything they do here, it makes it great! In this place I had some of the best coffees. The beef pastelito were delicious and the omelette. The attention of the employee was very attentive and the service was fast.

Found this small place when i was driving by. It has one of the best cuban coffee around. The lady that runs the shop is very friendly. She keeps the place clean and makes everything on demand. Would definitely come back when I?m around the area.

In the past there were constant goof ups with the orders. Now things have changed and I?ve been ordering from this spot quite a bit. The breakfast served is really good and doesn?t burn a hole in your pocket. My daughter is a year Old and enjoys the mango milkshake from this spot.

I love Pastelitos, and we drove 45 min to try this place because of the reviews. We ordered 1 guava only and 2 guava and cheese. They were okay and actually tasted old unfortunately. We won't make this drive again...

A small place to grab food or bakery items and go. They have a few small tables that were full. Food is good portion, quality mid.

My day took a turn for the better when my wife and I stopped by to enjoy their incredible guava and cheese pastries, as well as their flavorful Cuban and steak sandwiches. Everything was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend

Amazing!!! First time coming here. I was searching for Cuban pastries and went to another bakery around the corner (it was whack, didn?t have a good selection of items). I left and did another search and found this place 4 minutes away. BEST PASTELITOS EVER! Cafe con leche and coladas on point. Extremely fresh pastelitos- better than any big-name Cuban bakeries in Hialeah or Pembroke Pines. Will definitely be back!

Found this place on Google Maps, the high reviews caught my eyes. It?s a small place, but the everything tasted really good and fresh. Coffee, pan con queso y ramon, pastelito de queso were amazing.

As long as they stay as fresh and as reasonably priced, this is my go to place for pastries near home. Service is cheerful , too, which is often not the case in some bakeries around here.

Do not come here worst place they restaurant owner refuses to serve black peoples we set inside for 30 min no ask us what we?re here for or even talk to us until we got up and walk out

I have been coming here since I moved to Pembroke pines. I came first to get a coffe. That's when I realized it was the best coffee I ever drink! Better than Starbucks. I have eaten at this bakery before in the past and never experienced what happened to me. I ordered two Cuban pastries. One of them was a pizza pastry that I began to eat it. I noticed that I was chewing on something strange and my mouth rejected it. It was wax paper, when I complained about it, the old lady behind the counter started making jokes. What a fantastic place to start your morning, while visiting Miami we searched for a local bakery to start our day with an easy breakfast and some natural juices, we were greeted by a super nice lady that was taking care of everything and everyone, on the second day we were already greeted like locals and she remembered our order from yesterday. Definitely worth a visit, we saw some great looking cakes too. Highly recommend ????????????

I have to say when it?s necessary I have to give a good review, I got a croissant breakfast sandwich, steak and hash, brown and cheese three times bigger than Dunkin? Donuts breakfast sandwich croissant worth the money!!!?? Also, I got their guava and cheese pastry and also the yucca pastry. Nothing is cheap about them. Hit the spot. No small portions great size and delicious.

The guava ice cream was amazing

I had the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. It was very big, freshly made, and very good. Hot chocolate was good. Orange juice was freshly squeezed. Only down side is i did not see pricing. They had sitting inside but very small.

Absolutely delicious! I stopped by for some coffee and some guava pastries and everything was incredible. I only wish I had time (and space in my stomach) to try their other food. I?m sure it?s absolutely delicious as well. I?d definitely recommend stopping by this place, the people were super nice too.

They don't do slice online ordering anymore but it is still on the website. Had to reorder, 1 hour later and 2 days to get my refund from slice. Food is good, service is rude. If you don't speak spainish I would advise bringing someone that does.

I didn't believe it when my mom told me but this is without question the best and most authentic steak sandwich in all of Broward. Plus the service here is hands down #1. The owners are so personable and back everything from scratch every day! They care deeply about your experience and if it wasn't satisfactory, they always make things right. This is truly a small business worth supporting. I'll be coming back often and I recommend you do too!

I am visiting from Puerto Rico and this place has the most authentic and delicious Caribbean breakfast in town, and the prices are INCREDIBLY reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Ivette is the business owner and she takes charge of taking care of her guests to the extent of even preparing the food! If you?re in Hollywood, you MUST stop by Azucar for breakfast. Oh and the coffee is out of this world.

Found this little gem while staying near our airBnB in Hollywood, FL! Great pastries, wonderful coffee and decently priced. Service is great, lady very personable and helpful. Highly recommend!!!! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out!!

We came for Cuban coffee and stayed for some of the best food!! Azucar burger and chicken and cheese quesadillas were AMAZING!! The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy!

Talk about a little hidden gem, I almost missed it when getting to it. However so glad I didn?t. Great food and super nice staff. Batido/shake was on point, and croqueta preparada was super yummy. Give it a try!!!

I love this place. I come here for breakfast every time I work I the area Sure there are other good spots around but I choose to come here as the breakfast is delightful, authentic & inexpensive, plus, the owners are absolute sweethearts. It's a bit hidden and the surrounding area is ehh, but it's worth a quick stop the location inside is quite small but its nice and clean. Idk, about lunch or dinner, but I'm sure it's legit.

Nothing likable, ordered ham and cheese empanadas but got cheese empanadas, chicken empanadas were absolutely dry and chiken was chewy. Puff pastry was below average.
