This is one of the hidden gems in town. The donuts are always good and the staff friendly. The shop is full of local products as well as others from around the state. I went ahead and took the donuts to the next level today and made a sandwich. It was fantastic. I hope my photo doesn't confuse people into thinking you have sandwiches but maybe you should!
One of my favorite places to go in Mansfield. Awesome little store. Local goods. Pick your own apples. Don't forget you apple cider and apple donuts!!! And if you can have 1. Pick the apple donuts!!!!!
Today I had the Cinnamon Rolls and Vanilla Latte are by far the best I ever had. Don't go to Starbucks, come here! Support this local business. Check out the beautiful orchard when the weather is warm. This place never disappoints! Been a customer here for years. Love this little spot out in the country.
One of the best of all orchards to visit in the Fall (also opened year round). This is an iconic location that has a hard working family still operating it like a family, far from big country store full of China-made products to pretend they are selling Americana; rather, this farm has local products, produce and a rarity- apple cider off the tap. You bottle your own here and it?s fantastic. It?s located about 15 minutes off the 71 highway and you won?t be disappointed by the beautiful drive to the orchard
What a great place to visit with you family got many new things to try and definitely enjoyed letting our little one pick apples for the first time. Will definitely be back to get the donuts and cider again.
They seriously have the best cinnamon rolls I've ever ate. We are definitely coming back in the fall to pick apples.
Great store selection, and their apple cider and apple donuts are really good!!
Love this place! My family and I make sure we get to apple hill when we're in town. It's a tradition. Beautiful place, apple donuts are amazing, the selection of fruit, veggies, honey, homemade products, drinks is fantastic. There's to much to list. Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed.
Came for a birthday party. I honestly have never been here before nor even heard of it. Kids loved it. Hay ride was fun. They have small playground with a big tee pee, chickens, goats and ducks you can pet and feed. Pick your own FRESH, organic apples! They also have honey a guy makes in bucyrus. Great place and we will definitely be back!
I?ve experienced better. This place was busy but I?m not sure why. They have pick your own apples but you have to cross a busy road to get to them. The apples are tiny, and most of them have spots on them. Also, for a tiny bag it seemed kinda pricey especially for the quality and picking ourselves. Bees were bad around the apples. They have a portable bathroom, which was out of order. So, no restrooms available for customers. The apple cider doughnuts are good, staff could be friendlier, at least say thanks
We always enjoy our traditional family's apple picking time. It was a little later in the season this time but we had 4 different varieties to pick and sample:) The grandchildren played on the wooden tractor and checked on the goats, chickens and ducks. All enjoyed again. We could not leave on the perfect day without buying their delicious apple donuts!
Yummy apple walnut bread, apple salsa, and fresh sweet corn at reasonable prices. Owners are very pleasant and it is fun to visit the goat, sheep, and chickens. Looking forward to fresh cider this fall.
very family friendly and you have to try the Apple donuts. we went for peach picking and they also have apple picking. of course You can either pick your own or buy theirs. very cool place to visit
Such an amazing place. The atmosphere and service is top notch. Oh and did i mention they have apples ?? ????
This is one of our favorite local gems here in Mansfield! It?s become a yearly thing for my husband and I to come and get apple cider donuts and pick honeycrisp apples. The experience alone is worth it. But the donuts are amazing, and we got about 15 pounds of honeycrisp apples for $20 - the grocery store can?t beat that!
Absolutely hands down the best apple cider I have ever had in my life ? made from their own fruit at the orchard to top it!! Apple Hill Orchards is what anyone and everyone should look for in a locally sourced product. This orchards proximity to Akron, Canton, Cleveland, and Columbus gives it a low carbon impact for grocers or restaurants focusing in this essential part of changing our food supply chain. I?ve been to multiple orchards around the state, most of which give off more of a money hungry tourist
Apples are so good. Cider is delicious and the apple cider donuts are to die for. A great place to go for a unique fun family experience.
Very nice. Staff was personable and took COVID precautions. The goods store was priced reasonably. It was family fun to walk through the orchards picking our own apples.
Local, must check out, apple orchard. They have apple donuts and apple cider that truly live up to the hype, as well as apples (both pick your own and prepacked), and other goodies. Nice play area for kids and chickens, ducks, and other animals too. Definitely fun for a fall day!
Overpriced. $ 4.50 for a medium coffee - this isn't New York. The price of the doughnuts keeps going up & up.
Fresh apples n assorted apple choices. Well liked by many customers from local ad well as visitors from afar
Very fun family activity. Love the option of pick-ur-own or buy pre-picked. Chickens are fun and interesting to observe. Would be great if all staff was knowledgeable about apples and/or other questions. We must have encountered some new employees that didn't know much it seemed. Overall our trip was A-mazing
Last time we went here the donuts were doughy. Through them away. Tried going today and noticed flies inside the case. When my husband pointed it out, the response he got was "That's called farm life". Maybe but that is disgusting. We will NEVER return.
Enjoy going here if it's for some apple cider, honey sticks, goodies, pumpkins or just to have a little fun with the kids. They love playing here and feeding the animals.
Absolutely terrible experience! All my family all my life have visited this local orchard- and it has always been amazing! Staff- food- activities! Until today- ?.. my husband and I decided to go here for a drive thru coffee and head back home for house renovations ?? ?.We pulled up- husband shut off our vehicle and waited for staff to assist us? a older woman with gray hair just past her shoulders came up- and stated very aggressively, even leaning into the window for the drive thru, and said ?you will b
Great place for families! Very affordable and nice staff. Parking is grass but very stroller friendly. Food truck was VERY good - really impressed.
Absolutely loved apple picking. It was our first time doing it, and I would definitely go back. Had a mini day trip with my daughter, bf, and his daughter. Went out to eat afterward and made deliciously amazing apple tarts with the apples we picked. They had the cutest little inside market and a small playground.
Apple Donuts is worth the drive from Columbus alone!
We ordered apple donuts for our wedding from Apple Hill Orchards. They were the perfect donuts for our donut wall. They were delicious and we got so many compliments! We'll definitely stop by for more donuts and to enjoy all the orchard has to offer!
If you haven't been to this place you simply don't know what you're missing. Indeed they have the best cider ever.(I never leave there without any, unless I got there too late & they're sold out??) Of course they have apples, but it's their bake goods and things where they really shine! You better get there before they sell-out, or before I do seeing how I buy for the whole family 'cause they all love their stuff!??
I love this place! I grew up going here and All the staff are super friendly and kind, all their products are delicious (try the apple Donuts when they're back in stock, they are absolutely phenomenal and I always make it a point to stop here while visiting Ohio even if it'sjust for the donuts and cider!) And they have a great variety of delicious apples In the orchard!
Great place with friendly staff that's willing and happy to help you. Wide assortment of different types of apples and products to make such as crafts and recipes. The donuts they make are wonderful and fresh as well a great place to visit!
So fun! Lots of great products and the pick your own apples are a great deal.
Their doughnuts have that awesome fried flavor, and that's something that is difficult to find these days. Awesome shop with Cooper's Mill stuff, and even some cherry juice from way up in Leelanau. Hope to visit again soon
Their store is the cutest, their apple cider donuts are beyond fantastic, and the staff is simply terrific. My husband and I go there even after apple season. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The worker or owner was extremely rude. Workers were unclear of where to go and we were just trying to have a good time with our children but the lady kept following us around telling us what to do and watching us after we went to the correct area without any issues. The trees we went to did not say not to pick. She tried to get us to pick apples from inside the store after we had already spent a lot of money to pick them. Just overall awful customer service and very disrespectful. I wouldn?t recommend anyo
Drove by and turned around when we saw the hot donut sign. My friend and I each got 2 but I could have easily ate 6 lol so good.
I love fruit and especially apples. They have a nice variety and it's nice to buy locally grown fruit and locally made sweet treats. Their apple donuts are pretty popular in this area and I purchased an apple bar treat that was simply amazing and I do not normally eat pastry treat. If you haven't been there, you need to go.
Great apples, delicious and fresh cider (unpasteurized which as long as your immune system is good tastes much better than pasteurized). Got there at the end of the day and the cider donuts had run out, but i was told i could call and reserve donuts any time! Since we come from an hour away that is great. Been coming to this place as a kid to pick apples and take my kids there now, too. Not a made up nostalgia like other places, this place has not changed much in decades and that is a great thing!
We went there this past wknd...the donuts were amazing, hot & fresh. However we bought deli meat & cheese and it was awful, tasted old and stale. The cheese was sliced but all stuck together. Plus you could tell the lady at the deli counter was struggling and was upset she had to wait on us. It was our 1st time there, even though I wasn't impressed with some things I will probably make a trip back for the donuts!
First time visit. We were told from friends about the Apple cider donuts so we had to try them. Fresh, warm and melt in your mouth! Oh so good! Apple cider and apples were excellent (although pricey). Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They were making Apple cider and apple butter outside. We bought our apples already picked, but we would like to go back and spend more time there picking apples. We live an hour away but we would make the trip back!
Nice experience with my little boy. We have fun picking our pumpkin. There were pony you can ride. We saw some goat and chicken. We checked out the store and bought some cider, it taste so good. I wanted to buy donuts but disappointed for there were many flies. So I skip it.
my family comes here Every year around apple picking season. they have a produce / gift shop with a ton of assorted items from the local area, from meats to soda's, natural soaps, produce and honeys. there inventory changes but expect to see allot of cool stuff! they are known for their epic Apple donuts, and let me tell you. Before anyone leaves this green earth. You should try them, they are that amazing. this is a very family oriented friendly place so bring the whole clan and enjoy some outside activ
Took our 4 year old and 2 year old and they loved it! The donuts are delicious and made fresh!
I just love that you only pay for the apples and or goodies you purchase at this Orchard. There are plenty of places to engage in Fall activities/amusements, but they keep it simple and homey. The apple selection does go fast. I just wish it was a bigger orchard!
After last year's disappointing cider, Apple donuts, and apples, we thought we would give it another try. And things were still disappointing. The apples did look better and were cleaner. But the cider looks and tastes watered down with very little flavor. The donuts can't really be called apple. At least this year they were fresh, but no apple taste. If you want a good apple donut, go to the Meijer bakery. After 35 years of stopping at Apple Hill multiple times each fall when visiting from Cincinnati and c
I grew up drinking their cider and it's still the best. The Apple Donuts are amazing!
Love this little market has alot of local brands as well as house made apple cider and apple donuts made fresh great tasting on both. The apple selection is big. Employees are super nice .
Adorable place to spend a little time! Organic soap ($4-$6), iced or hot latte's ($4-$6), apple picking ($11& up), raw local honey ($5.95& up). Speedy customer service! Wonderful pumpkin roll. *(The apple cider tastes like apple juice in my opinion. Some will like that, but my preference is the usual "spicy", taste of cider.)
We love coming to Apple Hill. We have family in the area so every time we can visit from Florida, we do. This orchard is a must every time we come. The cider is fantastic, the donuts are delicious, and the people are friendly. Put this place on your to do list because it?s pretty incredible!
This place has amazing food. Tried the doughnuts and cherry pie because that's what my kid wanted. I've never eaten cherry pie that I liked before. I want to go back and get another one from here. Not only was it beautifully made it was a perfect balance of flavor.
The cider is awesome! Wanted some donuts but there were flies all over them. They should at least cover the donuts up. But I guess it's not a big deal to some people because they were still buying them.
The apple donuts were very good and would get those again. The smoked cheddar really sucked it almost taste stale. I have had considerable better cheese sadly may have to throw away.
I?m not a die hard Apple cider fan.. well, I should say I didn?t use to be. Their Apple cider is by far, the best I?ve had. I?ve refilled my glass jug there 3 times and will hopefully do it again before the season ends. I?m also not a apple donut fan, but theirs were surprisingly very good. Also, a little bonus- my kids love the animals and little playground there. The employees there have all been very pleasant as well.
Best donuts in Mansfield area, haven't had much of their apples but their baked goods are always fresh and taste wonderful. Tried their latte today and it was one of the best I've ever had (I recommend Dark Chocolate!)
Very nice country store. You can get what you came for. Apples. Cider, cheese and much, much more. Did I say donuts. Yes, those and other apple pastry. And the prices are right. You can pick your own apples if you like. Good place to take your kids. Go and enjoy.
We just parked in front of the store on a beautiful fall day, no wait. The prices are very reasonable, a little over $1 per pound for PYO apples. And the apple donuts are warm and delicious. 2022 update: still a hidden gem. Plus they have a cool playset and a great selection of goods in the shop.
The cider was spoiled an the donut were un flavorful. Nothing like I had in the past. A waist of gas an money.
During the height of the apple season, this place is amazing! Hot and fresh Apple Donuts constantly being churned out by the hundreds. I hear people in the crowd chattering about how they have driven for several hours just to get the donuts. The apple fritters on "Fritter Friday" will make your head explode they're so good(not really but you get the idea). Fresh pressed apple cider that is not pasteurized makes a huge difference in the taste. The apple cider is on tap and you can pour it yourself or just sn
If you have not made it out here definitely let us be the review you read. There is only one bad thing about this place and that is if the Sun is shining there is a potential for bees however do not let that Ward you off. They have some of the best apples you will find in the entire country and their little store shop has some the best little big goods you could ever ask for. Do not skimp on your doughnuts because you will regret it later for not getting enough. They have other meats and cheeses and little
Friendly staff, beautiful orchards with a great variety of excellent quality fruits. The little farm store has the best apple fritter donuts I've ever had! There's also other stuff to di/see - an active beehive, friendly goats, hay ride, etc. Definitely worth the trip and continues to be a family tradition every fall!
If you're visiting the area or looking for an apple orchard, it's the best one I've ever been too, the have the best Apple donuts and the best Apple cider around. The Apple Cider is best in the fall and They have plenty of other things inside, food, snacks, a bakery and somewhat of a deli. You can pick your own apples and then even pick pumpkins in the fall. I'd recommend it.
Best apples and other fruit in the area. Great local produce in season. The bakery has excellent apple fritters, mouthwatering apple donuts and many other specialty items. Fresh home style pies ice cold cider to go with it all! Nice folks too! Stand around or sit by the glass front wood fired stove and watch the flames on a cold winter day. What a place.
Absolute best apple cider you will ever taste!!!! Live in Florida but try my best to get back home every year so I can drink a gallon or two. Oh and don?t forget those donuts. Great place.
Nice store, good bakery, with terrible staff.
Great place to take young kids to teach them about where things come from Nice little petting zoo nice knick knacks for sale Delicious donuts unfortunately with the way things go kind of pricey
We got a recommendation for their Apple donuts (from another bakery) and found a wonderful gem! It felt like we were welcomed into a friends barn during Apple picking. The Apple donuts were unbelievably good, the Apple dumpling was wonderful (my first one ever but not my last) and we got a bag of Cortland apples that are wicked snap cracking great! (Other stuff too but it would take the page.) The only disappointment was the Apple cider slushy machine was temporarily down. That?s right, I said Apple cid
Love this place but I ordered 18 donuts I live 40 minutes away I drove an hour away to share some donuts with others only to discover I didnt get 6 of them. When I called to see if there was anything that could be done I was told I could drive back and get a refund... I said I really didn't want to drive back that far... Would've been nice if they offered another solution like a credit voucher for next time... Whoever I spoke with didn't seem to care. So I was out on the money for it I guess. Spent over a $
Second year our family went. My daughter absolutely loves it. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend visiting. The donuts are delicious don't forget to try those also!
Apple Cider and donuts are fantastic!! The staff are very helpful and friendly. Been going here for years and never have been disappointed.
First time here and I fell in love!! A little pricey but everything I saw (cider, apples, apple donuts) looked amazing. Plus you can even pick your own apples. I feel like it's the type of place you make a tradition out of going with your family every fall.
We fly up from Texas every year to visit this place. Somehow just picking apples and drinking cider is can't-miss tourism. Also be sure to try the apple donuts. I don't care if you're on a diet or don't like normal donuts. Just do it. You're welcome.
There were hardly any apples, and we spent 30min looking for honey crisps and found 3. It wasn?t worth it. Most were super tiny too. Staff is nice but one woman?s mask was below her chin. Bought 3 baked goods the donut, lemon poppy, and apple dumpling. Nothing was hot or evenly remotely warm and it wasn?t bad but wasn?t good either. Generally ok but nothing special.
Great place to go apple picking they make awesome apple donuts that are well worth the visit. They also have a great little play area for kids by the orchard house that even as a college student I would want to play on. It's a little smaller than places like Lynn's and definitely farther away from central ohio but still a great place to go.
The doughnuts they are famous for ate great but the apple fritters are unmatched. If you are going there get a fritter! We also got their mini apple pies. So much to choose from. Lots of farm to table type foods.
Really good cider and apple doughnuts. The cider has (to the best of my knowledge) little to no preservatives. I have had it go hard iwhen it last longer than 7 days in fridge... My bad!!
Went in this morning for cider and a few donuts that I had never had before. There was an entire case filled with donuts AND NO LESS THAN 50 FLIES on these donuts. I asked the older woman there if they had any fresh donuts. She said, ?they are all fresh.? I said, ? well there are flies all over those. Do you have any that flies have not been landing on?? She said, ? no these are all that we have and we know it?s a problem. Do you want them or not? We are trying to fix the fly problem. She was so rude and pu
Try the doughnuts and pound cake!
Absolutely wonderful peach picking today. Half a peck for $11. Don?t the let the size of the bag fool you; we got 20 peaches in the bag. All incredibly sweet, juicy, freestone peaches. Wonderful activity with our toddler. The picture is just the ones that remain!! Wonderful!
Really good cider and apple donuts! Among other things, they have a pretty good selection of things here!
The apple donuts are incredible. Don?t wait until you get home, try some while they are fresh and warm! Just make sure you get enough or there won?t be any left to share when you get home. ??
I have lived many different places in my adult life and I have never found an apple cider to compare with Apple Hill's apple cider. We call it " the nectar of the gods" in our house!
Just love Apple Hill Orchard. Love their products and enjoy the service! Great apple donuts. Love sending apples to Alabama and Georgia to my grandkids. They always want the apple donuts.
Lovely little store with great doughnuts and selections of fruit, honey, veggies, and so much more!
Beautiful orchards with a large variety of apples. Great farm store with the most delicious apple donuts ever. There are also some other fun activities and in October, they have a little festival with kiddie rides, carnival snacks, etc. Puppers are welcome.
Delicious donuts. Great apple selections. Great service!
Kind people, pretty views, a variety of upick from Spring through Autumn, and the shop offers fresh fruit, veggies, in-house baked goods (love the apple donuts!), as well as gifts and treats. They put in a great play area for the kids. Check out a few farm animals (bring your quarters), listen to the kids giggle and have a good time. It's low key, high fun kind of place. My family and friends all like it here.
A high point in Ohio in many ways, Apple Hill has been around at least as long as I have! My mom took us there to pick apples when I was a kid, they hosted some wild bacchanals in the late '70s that I attended and since then, it has been my go-to place for cider, donuts and apples - in that order. The cider is the best in Ohio - Laurelville has nothing on Apple Hill! They have great apple donuts and other seasonal confections year-round. And then there are the apples.. a good mix of old-fashion favorites an
