Awesome Grocery store for fruits and vegetables! Lots of jams and jellies as well as bakery items. Excellent friendly staff too. A destination for the family.

Apple Castle is a win for the whole family! We made the 30 minute drive and were not disappointed. The playground is fun for the kiddos and not to mention the tractors they can sit on. The food is fresh and all looked delicious; we had to limit ourselves or we would have left with the store. All the staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

I started working here two months ago. I worked at a farm market previously, and had a bad experience, so I was a little nervous when first applying here. But I?ve completely fallen in love with this place! I love working here! Thank you so much, Farmer Steve, for creating such an incredible work environment! I am truly blessed to work here!??

Never heard of the Apple Castle (we are not from the area) but happened to see a sign for it and decided to check it out. Pretty cool place with lots of goodies especially when we visited, the fall! It was so colorful and the ?? ??s are delicious! We even met a cool ?? catching a nap on the hay. If you happen to be in the area, definitely worth a visit!

We did a tour of the orchard and learned about the apple grading system and the honeybee. Our tour guide was very nice, liked to joke and had a lot of information. The woman in the "apple room" was very nice as well. We enjoyed lunch in the pavilion, and had Apple Castle's cider and donuts as a special treat. I looked at places that were Amish and this place came up. They sell Amish products but they are not Amish. I live around Walnut Creek so I thought I was getting Amish on that level. When I came in it was just a shop that sells commercial Amish items. It is a cute shop and everyone was nice. I did buy two packs of cookies. When I was looking through the packaged goods they were the same items but priced differently. I don't know if it's human error or they are trying to trick people.

Such a lovely place with lots of local and homemade options. Even out of season the Apple Cider was phenomenal!! The bees are a cute touch. We'll worth a visit, I would go regularly if it wasn't almost 2 hours away!

I attended a birthday party at the outdoor pavilion. The place was very clean and the owner, who gave us a tour of the orchard, was very friendly. The store was cool and the staff was very friendly too.

I stayed nearby and was lucky enough to eat Apple Castle donuts and produce every morning. They bake their goods daily (saw it firsthand. The local Amish bring their goods here to sell and pick up some produce to take home. The Apple Castle is a critical part of the community!! You?re not going to find home-made goods like this many other places!! Would recommend!

The cherries and grape tomatoes were so good! I love this place.. Everytime I come home I stock up on coconut bars, honey bears, Gillian candy sticks, pecan logs and peanut logs.... The older gentlemen cashier is the sweetest!!

We had a small picnic here and the staff were very friendly. We then went apple picking and we honestly had the best tasting apple. Personally, I liked yellow delicious and maregold apples. I think they?re the best! We definitely had a blast and will be back for sure!

One our favorite places to go as a family. Family owned business that has been in business for a very very long time 1850's. Today was the first time I have ever been here. We decided to go somewhere new for apple picking this year and I We had so much fun. Everything is set up wonderfully, the prices are better than where we had been going the last few years, and the employee running the apple picking area was super informative and helpful. Where do I begin? They have delicious cider donuts, each variety is tasty, hard to choose. The cider is quite nice. Reasonable cheese / deli prices. And seriously the apples!!! Well worth the 1 hour drive. Apples are sold by the bushel, not by the pound. Today they had a dozen varieties to choose from. I make applesauce, the more kinds of apples, the better the taste.

My husband and I always stop at the Apple Castle when we are in the New Wilmington area. It's such a quaint country store you can't miss! Look at the selection! They are currently getting ready for an expansion but they are open during construction. If you like apples, or Amish baked goods, stop by!

Had some business to do in the Volant area and stopped in for some apples. I was going to u-pick, but after shopping in their store, I decided to buy a mixed bushel. Nice selection of produce, shelf goods, and even a bakery, too!

The people are really nice and definitely kid friendly. Everything is very organized. Alittle higher on price but for the experience the kids loved it . We will be back often .

A bit more costly but a few unique items. Cheese is always fresh & lunch meats are good. Apple Fritters & doughnuts are a big signature item. Some local farm produce in season along with their own.

Get here early for homemade fresh donuts. Way better than Duncan's, and the cider is my absolute favorite. All types of fruits and veggies to be found along with random country items I've never even heard of. The raw honey and fresh milk is on another level too. Apple Castle is wonderful! I took my kids to a story time, hayride, and apple picking event there, and we had so much fun! All of the staff were super friendly. I love that they have a nice, big playground for the kids. Also, their apple cider donuts and slushies are delicious and fairly priced!

My husband and I have gone annually for years. We are disappointed that this year there is no parking available near the apple picking. We left without the apples we drove over an hour to pick because there were none of that variety available in the store.

This place is a treasure! We came from Kentucky to visit family and stopped in. We were nicely surprised at the number of options of food, ei. Honey, butter, deserts, spices, bread, spreads, etc... We would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in their area. You won't regret it. We even left with a beautiful potted flower. I wish we had a farmers market like this at home.

Great store, from the apples and cider with no preservatives, to the baking goods, all the way to the obscure candy and huge deli. Everything was fresh and at market price. The only down side was it is a very small place and had to shuffle shoulder to shoulder with people through the store. I suggest to try and find a non-busy time to visit.

Sesame Sticks?your sesame sticks have changed for the worst. Not to long ago your sesame sticks had sesame seeds on them. Now you can nearly see them or taste them. I don?t mind paying extra for a good product but these are the pits. I will look elsewhere to find a better product.

Apple Castle is fantastic. We live in NC and ALWAYS stop and visit to make purchases of a variety of goodies to bring home. Plus they ship as we usually buy their homemade applesauce and these folks ship to us. In fact we were just there end of July and of course bought a bunch of stuff to include tshirts but I got some homemade strawberry rhubarb jam, oh my goodness it was delicious. My sister and I have been coming here for 30 years. We live an hour away but made it a tradition to always stop in when in the area. The new building update is really nice but I also enjoyed the original, smaller version as well. Would highly recommend visiting.

This establishment has a huge variety of products. Definitely a place to stop in and acquire a basket full of goodies. Since I was heading elsewhere I purchased some bananas and trail mix. I would have loved to have purchased some of the noodles, seasonings, sauces, wild game jerky and other fresh fruit.

I loved this store! They have a good variety of merchandise and all sort of different apple flavored items. The apple cider and apple butter are amazing! I would definitely go back. The prices are also very reasonable. We got a lot of stuff for less than $25. Also pictured below are mini buckeyes which I?ve never seen before!

You won't find better apples. This place literally has the absolute BEST apples! And they have an amazing apple cider slushy (and regular apple cider). Their honey is amazing and you can actually see the bees too, and they have hot honey! This list could go on and on.

Right now the have their own strawberries and these aren't like the 1s you get in the grocery store. These r red n juicy all the way through. August they have their own blueberries and I've made muffins with them and everyone keeps asking for more.

Nice place. Well stocked and we'll staffed. I went for the donuts, they were out of maple frosting oh well I had to settle for chocolate frosting. They had plenty of fresh vegetables and other baked goods. You should stop in if your in the area.

Loved this family owned business since I was a child~My only complaint is that the new & updated store that has a deli counter does not have a slicer, apparently, that ?chips? the lunch meat very fine & thin like chipped meat is suppose to be. When I expressed my preference the man behind counter explained that the slicer was not capable of adjusting to my preference. So I was stuck purchasing thinly sliced lunch meat, not chipped as I asked for. Doughnuts are awesome though!!

What a great little market! Honestly the best donuts I?ve ever had. Got some in the morning, came back late afternoon and the display was full. So they must restock throughout the day. Huge assortment of apples. We bought some of their ?seconds? that were slightly bruised or marked to use for making applesauce. We are eating them as is and they are delicious. Lots of other produce and their own cider and honey. We will definitely stop back next time in the area.

It is a family owned Orchard and Farm. The owners are always around working and helping their staff out. Everyone if very friendly and helpful. The prices are very good for what you get. They mostly have their own produce from apples (you have to try their honey crisp!) Other fruits, vegetables, pumpkins, etc. They also have their own bees so you can get raw local honey. I love this store! The employees are wonderful! The apples are great and there is a variety of them! And the apple fritters and wheat donuts are incredible! If you are in the neighborhood you owe to yourself to stop, plus you support a great small family business!

This is a gem to the greater New Castle area. No trip to Amish country is complete without stopping at the Apple Castle. Their donuts are unique. The deli has fantastic cold cuts and the apples are incredible! It?s been around forever and now you know why!

Very informative and friendly staff. This place was packed when we went yet every employee was calm and kind even helpful when needed. Theres a little bit of everything here and I'd suggest the donuts for sure. Walked out to the orchards from the store and picked apples and yes prices are a bit steep but the amount of apples you get is insane for the price well worth it in my opinion. Fun little place to get some homegrown goods!

The fruit I purchased in the last two weeks has been very sweet and juicy. The peaches are so juicy that I had to eat them over my kitchen sink the juices just flowed out of them. I had to go bad and get more.

My grandkids enjoyed picking out pumpkins and the wagon ride. The store has alot of different stuff in it.

Great selection of farm fresh produce, spices, and jams / preserves. Apple orchard just across the street shows you how fresh the cider is. Get a bottle or a gallon if you're an apple juice fan. The staff was melancholy and unenthusiastic although it was a gloomy rainy day so maybe it was just the weather. Be sure to call ahead to see if their operating hours are the same. I've always loved Apple Castle! They always have homemade, unique, and delicious goods. You can get apple cider all year round. They've started making their own donuts. It's well worth the trip!

They always have an amazing selection of fresh produce and great canned goods. The new deli has a good selection, and the expansion made the store go from a social distancing nightmare to spacious and bright. Don't forget to check out the bees while you're there!
