Wanted to order some chocolate crinkle cookies(my favorite) and the person in the emails was extremely kind and said that the bakers would add it into their schedule for today. Drove an hour and a half to get here and they had put some aside just for me. Extremely friendly staff and a super cool place! Great donuts as well. Would highly recommend!

It was my first time at Angel food bakery and everything looked delicious it was hard to choose! I did go with the samosa donut and it didn't disappoint it was good caramel, toasty coconut and silky chocolate.

This is our go to place for amazing donuts and pastries. We are not even donut fans, but their donuts have transformed us into ones. The flavors of donuts are creative and taste amazing. You can get your favorite flavor or try something new every time you visit. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They also have great expresso. We love the outdoor seating in the patio. The decor is colorful and cozy. If you like ice cream, they also have that. Great place for kids!

My latte was good but do not get mint syrup in your drink. Tasted like coffee with a hint of mouthwash unfortunately. The donuts tasted soooo good! They were so soft and fluffy too. I had read good reviews about Angel food bakery and went here with my daughter on her 10 year birthday. She wanted donuts for her birthday thsn a cake. We got 3 donuts for takeout and they were so dry and flaky . My kids were so disappointed tasting them that they didn't even eat them after a bite. We had thrown them away. The cupcakes, donuts, scones, and coffee are all great. But the reason I come here is for the ample seating inside and out, and the bright full windows letting in light and all the sunshine. Great place to bring your kids or meet with friends and coworkers. And they have cocktails & ice cream too!

I saw a wedding that had Angel Food, and I absolutely HAD to have them at my wedding! Believe it or not the desserts taste even better than their stunning displays. They have a store in St Louis Park where you can pick up some donuts or cupcakes to try different flavors, and when it comes to the ordering, it is so easy and convenient. I would consider myself to be a donut connoisseur and these are some of the best I?ve tried in the twin cities. They are all unique and flavorful. I haven?t had a bad one yet. My favorite was the raspberry chocolate chip. Our coffees were also perfect - the best ?real? macchiato I?ve had in a while. The barista was lamenting that a lot of people complain because theirs isn?t the same as Starbucks?s, but I enjoyed it. Can?t wait to come back in the summer for Frio Frio!

This place is always great. Lots of parking and it?s always clean inside. The ice cream flavors are delish and unique - something for everyone - and the toppings are fun. They also have adult beverages that come with a popsicle, which are great. The staff are always super friendly and quick. Never any issues. The best French Crueller in the entire world! My husband used to work downtown and would bring them home every so often and since February of 2020 he's been working home and they've been closed... With their new location in Texa-tonka, I'm finally able to enjoy them again! The east coast cronut ain't got nothing on these treats! I swear eating one today tasted so much better than I remembered, I'm so grateful to have a location to visit less than 30 minutes away!

This review is more focused on the space...which I love. It's rare you get a great bakery with high quality coffee and a "stay a while" coffee shop vibe. Angel food has both. It's a great spot to meet friends, work remotely (good wifi!) pick up bakery items...and drink quality coffee. The donuts are amazing ??. Coffee's really good. Possibly the greatest pretzel I?ve ever had. We?ve tried a lot different things (both sweet and savory) and Angel Food Bakery never disappoints. My favorites were the classic sugar donut and the plain pretzel. They also have a great coffee and tea menu as well! Would like to see them move away from single use plastics at some point but still a great spot!

The donuts and coffee were pretty good and priced decently. This is a very popular place for children and families, so the atmosphere is VERY loud. I would not recommend this place if you are trying to work or have a longer conversation with someone, as it?s hard to hear.

Very trendy but also very loud. Between the trip hop music and jingle bells from the kitchen. I had two donuts, one was great the other was below average. The salted caramel was what I'd call a gas station pastry with extra salt. As someone who's thought frequently about salt, I have to question their choice in quantity and texture. Loved going to Angle Food downtown and was even more excited to see there is one in SLP right down the street! Went for the first time this morning, it was busy! However the line moved consistently and I was ordering my donuts within 30 minutes. Honestly it was worth the wait! Short and sweet: Angel Food Bakery was incredible for our wedding day! We did a dessert table with a small cake, cupcakes and donuts, and everything was phenomenal. Had some donuts from this place and they were ridiculously bad. Like they just tasted like white sandwich bread with cheap frosting on top. Went look at reviews and saw the owner replies so rudely to any customers that have issues and constantly brags about their high rating. Put a bad taste in my mouth (both literally and metaphorically lol)

Really modern warm inviting interior to this bakery with incredibly helpful as well as friendly service. There were so many delicious donut options that it was fairly difficult to pick out just a half dozen. Shared my donuts with friends & family, we all enjoyed everything we got without a doubt! I'll be honest and say that I went to Angel Food Bakery for one thing and one thing only: the Star Tribune recommended Chocolate Chip Cookie. I came, I saw, I ate, and WOW. Verdict: delicious and deserving of its title as one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the Twin Cities. It was chewy, crispy, melty, and ultimately, pretty much perfect. 10/10 would eat again. Love the super helpful staff. They seem genuinely content in their roles & glow when customers arrive. Donuts, cookies & all treats are always a delight...although I really go for the coffee! Nice to grab donuts-to-go on my way out for the next morning. They only take cards here. Neither cash nor tips are accepted, though you'll want to tip; they're a lovely bunch & keep the place tidy -even when it's a zoo (weekend mornings after 9, I've noticed a lot of kiddos zooming around).

We have followed Angel Food for their fluffy raised donuts since they first opened in the original space downtown. Always a fun mix of creative flavors and classics, as well as special order events like our Halloween order today. Toddler and parent approved!

Wonderful spot for donuts! The cruellers were by far my favorite, followed by the vanilla donut with sprinkles (can't remember the name). The frosting on the chocolate ones was a bit too much for me but others may like it. Cute little spot hidden in the Texas Tonka strip mall, a little pricey but worth it. Selection is small (atleast when we went which was late afternoon on a weekend), but I think that allows them to ensure everything they're putting out is high quality. Would reccomend!

The doughnuts are really really good. However, they start at around $2.50 per and they sell out within a few hours of opening in the morning. In my opinion, it's definitely worth getting up early to make sure you can get them.

What was really good was some sort of unique pastry that wasn't a donut, was a big brown ball, buttery on the inside and had sort of a makeup similar to a cinnamon roll. Loved this bakery when they were downtown, especially with all of their allergy free options for cupcakes and donuts. However I was disappointed to find they dropped most of the allergy free options they offered when they moved. Some of their products, like the cookies and sausage rolls, are really good. I recommend those! The donuts are overly sweet, and the chai is so sugary that it literally makes me ill. Just be aware if you have any sensitivities to sugar that this is not the place for you (yes, I know it's a bakery, but I can go to places like Yo-Yo and eat a donut no problem. This one dials up the sugar to the extreme in most of their products).
