I?ve tried a ton of donuts all across Texas, this place right here is the real deal! Jay running the place was super friendly. Explaining how they are honoring the original founders recipe despite the high cost to do so. You can taste the difference of this place, perfectly done donuts & savory ham & cheese croissant. Highly recommend stopping when in Abilene. Thanks again folks y?all are doing great stuff.
This place has to have the best donuts that I have ever had the pleasure of eating they are amazing however the best part of this donut shop is the incredible service you always receive these are the most respectful and kind people you will ever have the pleasure of interacting with they are so kind I melts my heart and the atmosphere just makes me feel so secure and comfortable it's always clean and has a real good home feel to it if I ever came across someone who thinks Krispy Kreme is better I just know
The best donuts and fountain drinks we have had in a long time! The little lady was so sweet and kind to my wife and I. We will stop here again when in Abilene!
I arrived at 11:16 am and the website as well as the front door both state that business is open until 12:00. Open sign was lit. Before I could get out of my car and walk to the door from directly out front, the lady working locked the door, turned off the open sign and walked past me several times while closing for the day. So rude! Display still had multiple trays of donuts so there was no excuse. I won't come back!
This is the regular stop for my family on Saturday mornings. We love going here! And the staff is always so warm and welcoming. They?re never annoyed at my toddler running around and touching every inch of the display case. They even give her a free doughnut hole on rare occasion. All in all, this place is wonderful! Be sure to stop here!

Bought this Ham and Cheese croissant and there was only one little piece of Ham inside?Please don?t raise your prices and cut the product as well.

I am from Louisiana and AM Donuts remind me of my favorite donut shop back home. Their donuts are ALWAYS fresh and the staff are ALWAYS Friendly which is hard to find nowadays . I HIGHLY recommend AM donuts on Willis. . The Willis location is my only go to location for the best donuts in town !!!
I got the worst service ever, and it's true it only takes one person, and I got her. She rolled her eyes the whole time. And even before I walked up to say hi. She said, "This is all we have, what do you want?" And when I handed her my card to pay out, without even saying a word, she threw receipt on the box and walked off.
The donuts and other items are all just so good, but the staff is wonderful on top of great food! My daughter is 3 and she loves going every Saturday to see her friends, they are just so nice to her ??
Awesome donuts and the drive thru is so quick! I definitely recommend because getting these delicious donuts ?? are totally worth it and the speedy service will keep you on time.
The BEST doughnuts in town. Cheap, but doesn't taste cheap. Food is amazing, they serve almost any drink (besides specialty coffee, but they do make different frappuccinos) and service is very friendly. Clean, and home-y feel. Relaxed environment and lots of seating and food variety. Great place for kids.
Not a stellar place to get breakfast as the kolaches/croissants could actually have more of a single piece of bacon/sausage in/on them. There was egg in some....ham i think. Meats are very sparingly used which are the most expensive part of these types of recipes so they are getting a good markup profit. Mostly bread on them. For a sweet tooth....donuts are good though. May try again but if a repeat will look for other options.
These croissants are unparalleled in Abilene. I tried one at BK donuts on Texas and they did not seem homemade. AM donuts definitely makes them fresh -- they're fabulous! Get one with bacon egg ad cheese.. you won't regret it ;)
I beleive that there is either a State Law, or maybe just an unwritten expectation, that every tiny burg in Texas must have at least one donut shop. Or maybe donuts are simply the State Vitamin and us Texans are serious about our health. Whichever it is the shops are legion, and AM Donuts is a prime and pleasing example. We got a mixed dozen all delicious and crossiants with turkey and a bacon cheese egg one. All absolutely yummy. They didn't last long :)
AM donuts never disappoints! They are an Abilene legend introduced to me by my Abilene native boyfriend. My jaw hit the floor when I heard Shipley's got run out of town because people like AM so much. I've heard the one on grape street has pho on the weekends? I've always wanted to try it.

While they may have some of the best donuts around, the parking lot is horrible and the drive-thru is in the most inopportune location. The line always sticks out into the street and the people sitting in that line apparently don't understand the rules of a drive-thru lane (they block traffic on S. Willis). The few times I have been in there it hasn't been too crazily busy, but it took awhile to get waited on. Amazing. I live in Austin and when I'm in Abilene AM donuts is a must have. Trust me you won't find a better Donut in Texas. Anyone that left this establishment less than 5 stars must be having trouble at home.
Best donuts in town hands down. It's a staple in our house on Sunday morning to have AM Donuts. Very friendly staff and very quick to get you in and out with your order.
Average donuts at best, but the size has changed and the taste is more like the oil used to cook them. Service has drastically changed for the worse. Please dont waste your time or money here.

The donuts are the best!!! Nice and warm. Bathroom was questionable...no soap or paper towels. Sink was disgusting as well as the toilet and floor. Looked like something from a haunted house.
My mom loves this place, but moved to Hobbs NM. Well the donut place there is shut down for Covid-19. She asked me to bring her some from AbileneTX when I came to visit. Well, I did. She was so happy!
I love their donuts,they're way better than Krispy Kream. There is nothing that comes even close to AM Donuts. What about us on the other side of town? I really wish they'd open 1 up on the South East side of town, maybe close Dyess, Rebecca lane or vacant place on 277 would work. I don't always have time to drive across town, wait in a long line & still get where I'm going unless I leave the house at least 30 minutes or more, dependent on day & time I leave house. I want 1 right now but don't have time.

They got a corssontwich called jalp. Budine thats off the chain I get two every chance I get but they dont have them every morning and he dont make a whole bunch so u gotta pick the right day and get there early a positive for me is i go every morning bout 530am

When people mention Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts I literally laugh. AM Donuts has perfected the donut.There is not a donut in the world that compares to an AM donut and that's not an exaggeration. They have the best glazed, chocolate glazed, old fashioned, krullers, long johns, apple fritters, raspberry filled, and croissants anywhere. I count myself lucky to live in the home town of AM Donuts.

Walk in there this morning at 7 and order 10 dozen donut holes, without even blinking an eye boxes them up in like a minute for me! Great friendly service and delicious donuts!
