Nice little bakery with a good selection. Had some sweet lunch on the the way to Seward on a rainy day. Staff is nice. Note: it?s only dine out. It?s actually quite pricey.

Hidden Gem in Girdwood ? Alpine Bakery I stumbled upon Alpine Bakery in Girdwood on my way to the Anchorage airport, and what a delightful surprise it was! Tucked into a charming little shopping center, this cozy spot instantly felt welcoming. I ordered a latte and an apple fritter (though I wanted to try their berry fritter, which had already sold out?always a good sign!). Both were fantastic?the latte was smooth and well-balanced, and the fritter had the perfect mix of crispiness, apples, and softness w

Very friendly. Large portions. A bit pricey for me. I got a berry scone, a coconut pecan bar and a snickerdoodle cookie. The scone is more a roll with berries in it. The bar and cookie were great!

I feel like we just ate two breads. Berry scorne had barely any berries and the cheese spinach croissant has barely any spinach or cheese at all. Lady is friendly though.

Best Mango Peach Smoothie??, Apple Fritter, and Plain Brownie on this planet! Even visitors I take here eat the brownie like it is the last thing they will ever eat and there is no tommorow! They have so many great things, and I posted a menu photo for you. Amazing staff, thank you!

These were the worst breakfast items! They said they were ?known for their apple fritters.? Well, that was not even like an apple fritter at all! Like trying to eat a big piece of bread with barely any apple in it. Dry and stale tasting. The berry scone was also same experience and unfit to eat. Same with the ham and cheese croissant. We took about 2 bites of each and threw them away. Those items, along with one drip coffee cost about $30. What a rip off!!!! I?d give them negative stars if I could.

These have to be the absolute worst cookies I have ever eaten!!! I ordered 3 different cookies 1PB, 1 M&M Sugar and 1 PB Semisweet and I will tell you not one of the PB cookies had any flavor of PB and the Sugar cookie, absolutely no sugar taste at all!!! They honestly tasted like cardboard and I couldn?t have been any more disappointed!!! Also had an Apple Strudel and it was ok but not the best. I am a well traveled local Alaskan and I wouldn?t waste my time stopping in there again but if you make it to Fa

Highway robbery?truly a tourist trap! I?m a local and stopped in on my way to Kenai. Hadn?t been there in many years but remember it being good. I was in shock when I was told the 4 baked goods I ordered cost $28! And then shocked and dismayed to find the quality of the apple strudel, ham and cheese ?croissant?, and 2 snickerdoodle cookies was less than mediocre! The cookies were bland, flavorless flour discs, and the ?croissant? was flavorless ham and cheese wrapped in flavorless filo dough! Same with the

Chai tea - spicy was amazing. Spinach Feta cheese croissant was great. Loved the apple strudel ! Cute little place !

Stopped by for a few bakery items after stopping for gas around the corner. There was a good selection of items from donuts, cookies, muffins, scones, fritters, croissants, cinnamon rolls, etc... as well a wide range of hot drinks. The pastries looked good behind the case, so ordered a scone, apple fritter, and peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. Person working was nice and friendly. The prices are high, but not surprising in a touristy area that's also at a popular stop along the Seward Highway and n

We stopped by before heading to Seward. The sugar twist donut was good - it hinted a bit of a taste of malasada, which took me back to childhood (Hawai?i) for a moment. The Nutella marble with white chocolate cookie was HUGE and great taste ??. What sealed it all was the service - it was BUSY, but the woman at the front takes time to chat and get to know the customers. She wasn?t worried about the line of customers, but focused on the current customer and connected with them, us, and the people after us - s

The is an amazing little stop for coffee and bakery goods. The batista just seems to love her job and has such an energetic attitude. She is also very wise to the events nearby as well as things to do. Definitely make this your stop if you are in Girdwood or passing by.

Had a brownie ($10) and a chocolate chip cookie ($5.50). Both were disappointing and left a lot to be desired. It's quantity over quality

Small little bakery with great selection of baked goods, both sweet and savory (I tried the spinach feta croissant). No seating, just grab and go.

Visited here on Saturday due to it being recommended and bought the spinach and feta pastry. It was barely any filling in it for $9, very flaky and lacked flavor. Maybe I should?ve bought a cookie.

Best place to stop for cookies, donuts or coffee. Huge moist donuts and spectacular scones. Been my place to stop for 20 years

Baked goods are yummy, but the ?what?s your adventure? lady assumes everyone wants to small talk. Nope, some people just want to buy a donut and leave.

Huge selection of both drinks and food, my coffee was strong and great, the cookie didn?t have a lot of sugar which I liked since it complimented the coffee nicely. Small place, perfect for grab and go but there?s seating outside if you need. Got everything quickly and tasted nice.

Small, fills up quick, but don't let that deter you because this bakery has the best vibes I've ever experienced. One woman does food, register and drinks! She's amazing and so welcoming! The coffee is great, and the baked goods are HUGE. Cookies are a little dry and the scones are a little more like fluffy biscuits, but honestly taste AMAZING. Please never change Alpine ????

Grabbed a cinnamon roll and Americano for my road trip to Seward. A convenient spot to grab sweets and coffee. The baked goods are a little more expensive than I'm used to paying for similar goods in Alaska. The service is great and employees are friendly.

Alpine Cafe & Bakery is a must stop pit stop when traveling past Girdwood on the Turnagain Arm! Delicious coffee and scrumptious bakery treats to keep you going!! I've enjoyed their maple glazed donuts (yum) and they're larger than life cinnamon rolls to name a few, while the kids always love their donuts and extra large cookies! And all this sweetness is washed down with a nice cup of coffee!! Make it a part of your travels to stop here for a treat.

Pastries are to die for! Delicious!!!! Went back 2 days later! Yum!

Apple fritter was great- get there early, they sell out!

Best donuts (maple covered) and bakery items that I've EVER had! Quaint little shop that was perfect for a delicious bakery breakfast on our way to Seward. The owner was very friendly and service was quick. We will always stop here on our future visits to the area. Food was wonderful!

Extra large cinnamon roll. large apple fritter. Very good. Fast friendly service.

So overpriced for average flavors, tried this place multiple times and I forget how meh they are and the high prices. Wouldn't recommend.

Foods good af & lady is super nice, customers are mad weird tho. Might need some music

Expensive for the quality. Holiday convenience stores apple and blueberry fritters come in at a higher level and at 1/4 the price. We were so looking forward to the cinnamon rolls ($5) for dessert after supper that night (about 3 hours after purchase and in the container they sold it to us in). it's basically just bread with little bit of cinnamon very little icing and dry needing lots of melted butter. I'm trying not to be harsh but it was really $20 that we didn't have and we are trying to treat ourselv

They had a great variety of options in both treats and drinks! I got a yummy cheese danish and Carmel macchiato, both were good. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their treats. Also the cinnamon rolls were massive!

Very poor quality baked goods. We got 2 cinnamon rolls that were dry as a bone. Either poorly baked or at least a week old. Barely any cinnamon or sugar in them to boot. We got a berry scone that was more like bread than scone, also dry, and with VERY little berries to even help make up for the dryness. Finally an apple fritter with no apples. Do not waste your money here.

Ordered two ham and cheese croissants. Got down the road and they were moldy! Didn?t see mold but the taste and smell was distinct. Money wasted. This used to be the best stop around there on a trip south.

An Alaskan native told me about this bakery at the Alyeska entrance, clustered in with other shops & a Tesoro gas station. They serve coffee and lots of sweets including donuts & giant, palm spread size cookies. I bought a peanut butter chocolate chip & plain chocolate chip cookies. Friendly staff.

I ordered the mixed berry fritter and ham and cheese croissant for a premium total of $16.75. They were regular quality and tasting that I would have paid $5 for at the NYC cart vendor. If you miss this place, consider yourself lucky.

Nice Cafe at an awesome location. Very friendly staff.

Our morning stop at Alpine Cafe & Bakery in Alyeska was a great start to our day before hitting the road to Seward. As someone who loves to plan out meals for the family, this little spot felt like a hidden gem?though judging by the long lines, it's not so hidden among the locals! It definitely has that "hole-in-the-wall" charm, with everything baked fresh on-site. The pastries and bread were top-notch, and you could taste the care that goes into each one. We visited in the first week of August, and while

The snacks are great, the staff just ehh, not so friendly!

Visiting the area. The lady that helped up was nice and the place was clean. The two espresso drinks were ordered were not good, honestly tasted like gas station coffee. The baklava was soggy, would not recommend. The cinnamon roll tasted like there was a cinnamon shortage. The danish was not great either. We always try to support locally o Ned businesses when we travel. Hopefully we just choice wrong from the menu, but $30+ went in the trash.

There was a great selection of baked goods to choose from and everything looked delicious? but unfortunately everything we got was incredibly mediocre. I am a hobbyist baker so maybe I just have high standards but nothing was particularly flavorful or sweet. We got the snickerdoodle, chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon roll, coconut pecan bar, and cranberry orange muffins. The muffins were definitely the best thing we got (especially after a little zap in the microwave). The prices were pretty steep, which is u

Really good baked goods and apple fritters. It?s right on the corner of the Alyeska Highway and the Seward Highway and is on the Glacier Valley Transit bus route that runs through Girdwood. The staff was very friendly! They are open all day every day, whereas many other places in the area are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Great service with lots of pastry options. Coffee is piping hot! We were disappointed with the apple fritter and three berry scone- little to no fruit to be found in these items. 95% bread and not a lot of flavor ??

I love this place. The Berry scones are my favorite. Coffee is fantastic! Staff is very friendly.

Oh my god this little spot is a must stop! I had a delicious maple bar doughnut and chai, and wish I had enough to get the cinnamon roll too! They?re massive! Great service and delicious food and yummy drinks!

The best ever! People?get in there and throw your money at this place! The owner?a refreshing blend of awesomeness and optimism.

The most delicious donuts! I was hooked while visiting. My husband stayed behind in AK for another week, took these yummy donuts home to us in Florida as a surprise! Can't wait to have them next year!

THIS JOINT IS THE ?????????? We stopped in for the first time on our way home to Kenai from Anchorage. AMAZING vibe immediately and we were greeted right at the door!! The guy behind the counter (sorry i didnt ask your name) was so nice and professional. We picked a cinnamon roll, blueberry muffin, coconut pecan bar, ham and cheese croissant and 2 spinach and feta croissants. THEY WERE ALL HITS!! 10/10! We will be stopping every time we pass through and would highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!!!!

Stopped here in our way to Seward for a pick me up. Coffee was delicious, the best I had on the week trip in Alaska, and the owner was a ray of sunshine and wit! A happy little find!

Large portions and fresh pastries. Ordered a breve latte that hit the spot. Friendly staff. I must have gotten there at peak time. Line was 7 deep.

We found this place by accident and couldn't be happier about it! Not only the young gentleman behind the counter was so professional and nice, their baked goods are out of this world- fresh and clearly made by someone who knows what they are doing. Definitely stopping there every time we pass by from now on. Highly, highly recommend.

Amazing fritters! Blueberry or apple and sometimes raspberry fritters. Come early, the sell out!

Everyone was so nice here! We got a scone as nibbled on it over a couple days. It never dried out in the wrapper! The cookies were also delicious!

The girl with reddish/ orange hair looked at me crazy with so much attitude when I wanted to see the different in the cup sizes. Not great customer service and the coffee was terrible. I would not recommend but since this was the only coffee shop near me I thought I would try. I would strongly advise treating customers with more respect and not looking at them like they are dumb. The coffee also taste super burnt.

Swung in and had the most fluffy and delicious maple glazed Bavarian filled donut ever; ate it before I could take a pic!! ?? Apple danish was good but could have had some more filling in it. A lil pricey but it was good, I?ll pay money for good food and service all day. Service was excellent and with a smile ?? Had a good selection and delicious smelling drinks we didn?t get this round. Would definitely return.

Pricey even by Alaska standards. $8 for a 3-berry scone. It was stale. My guess is it was baked 3 days ago. Next time I?ll get something at the gas station. Staff was nice.

A good selection of drinks and pastry treats. The owner is always very cheerful and fun to chat with while she gets your order ready. This is strictly takeout since there are no seats or tables.

Scone was lacking flavor. Everything is overpriced.

Bad. Both the Peanut butter cookie and chocolate chip cookie were flavorless and dry! The "scone" was not a scone, it was sugar bread with berries in it. The baker needs to sample goodies at a real bakery to see what cookies should taste like, and to see what a true scone is..

I had the berry scone. It is just expensive bread. Not worth it.

We were in town and craving something sweet?googled ?dessert? and this place came up and was open at 7pm. Bonus points for being open everyday and later in the evening. The case wasn?t full since the items are baked fresh but we all found something to suit our cravings. Our group ordered a cinnamon roll, blueberry muffin, brownie, apple strudel and baklava. All of the items are oversized and delicious. We now want to swing by again before we leave in order to try something fresh in the morning and with a sp

This place is highway robbery. $9.50 for a spinach feta pastry that didn't even taste good. Even Starbucks pastries are a bargain compared to these prices. Do not give them your money. The people were nice, but that's only because I just paid $16 for a coffee and pastry!

This seemed like a good place to stop but they were understaffed the line was slow and long. I waited to become I wanted to see if it was with it. Next time I?ll just go to the grocery store, seemed like that?s where it was from anyway. Not an enjoyable experience especially since the product was double what I normally pay.

Both coffee selections and frappe was burnt tasting espresso that was seriously watered down garbage. Spent $15 on two drinks and took three dips and could not drink anymore, threw both of them out. Skip the coffee here.

Overpriced. Not very good. I?d be happy to pay 9.50 for a feta spinach croissant in a tourist town if it was actually good. It was basically raw inside and not filled with much- many bites of gooey dough with no filling. Definitely not ever going again or recommending. I gave it two stars because the coffee was fine and doughnut was edible.

The best little bakery! There are several kinds of cookies to choose from, as well as other baked goods. The cookies are huge and worth the price! I wish I had ordered more and tried a cinnamon roll. You won?t regret stopping here no matter what you order!

Some of the best pastries I?ve ever had anywhere. It kind of stinks that a bakery sooooo good has to be in the middle of Alaska. I wish so badly we had this place back home in Nevada. The blueberry fritter was outstanding. The best I?ve ever had. Thank you

OVERPRICED DOUGH/ tourist trap. This place used to be good but the donut was awful with barely any glaze probably the worst I ever had and the cookies were terrible as well. Barely any chocolate and the snickerdoodle was basic with very little cinnamon or sugar tasted like a bland dough cookie with a little bit of sugar. Also for $40+ for a few donuts and cookies what?? Used to go here 4 years ago and it was completely different. Also the lady rudely rushed us to order, definitely won?t be going back and I

Had a scone and a spinach feta croissant. Both were terrible. Prices are really high. Hot coffee and Lattee were fine. They were out of ice so couldn?t order ice coffee.

I have been to this place more than a handful of times. And, I have gotten something different every time I have gone. Just to see if maybe it's what I ordered. But, that is not the case. The donuts are bland and dry. The other baked goods such as strudel and scones are stale and brittle. The cookies are above average at best. Overall this place is definitely not worth the stop if you're passing thru on the Seward Highway.

The baked goods are atrocious, honestly. I have tried many items while passing through to Seward and every bakery item I have tried is awful. The scones, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and donuts are basically inedible, I don?t know why I?ve given them so many chances, I guess I just keep hoping they can do at least ONE thing right. Well, I was mistaken, they cannot do even one thing right, sorry. And on top of that everything costs an arm and a leg. Even the coffee is astronomical, my 20 ounce DRIP COFFEE wit

There was a line way out the door, which tricked me into believing it must be a great bakery. It was very expensive, so I asked about two separate bakery items (cinamon roll and apple strudel) before ordering and was assured they were both moist. Both were very, very dry. I also ordered a berry scone (which are normally a dry, buscuit-like texture). This one was soft and more muffin- or bread-like. I was super disappointed. It cost $23 for 3 pastries, 2 of which were too dry to even eat. Wish I hadn't waste

The Alpine Caf? and Bakery in Girdwood, Alaska, is a delightful spot to satisfy your cravings, especially if you have a sweet tooth. During my visit, I indulged in their mouthwatering apple fritter, and I must say, it was worth every penny. The fritter was bursting with flavor, with a perfect balance of tender dough and delicious apple filling. While the six-dollar price tag may seem a bit steep, the quality and taste of the fritter made it a worthwhile treat.

Rude service, high prices, and poor product. Fritters were dry and neither contained any fruit. The worker was very snippy towards an older person who wanted napkins, directing her to a roll of paper towels (gas station bathroom type) instead. For $12 I received two unpalatable items.

Best blueberry muffins in Alaska! Great stop between Anchorage & Soldotna. Smoothies and frappes are also a wonderful treat from there. Cookies are huge, but could last all week! It is a small little bakery, but it is worth almost any wait.

Ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a snickerdoodle, which were pretty average in taste. The cookies are massive though! The apple fritter was light and fluffy, but didn?t have a lot of flavor. Would have rated 4/5 stars, but the service was incredibly slow, with a 25-30 minute line outside.

The guy working there was having a bad day I guess. So far this has been my weirdest experience at a restaurant. Food was mediocre. I don?t understand the good reviews about the pastries, they were so bad. Never coming again bye :)

Stopped by early in the day to check this place out and was realy looking forward to coming back after dinner for a sugar cookie. When we returned, I'll admit to Being a little needed when I asked for a cookie that was a bit larger (like all the others in the window) the server was a bit snarky and rude. Then later in the car when I tried the sugar cookie which was $5.00 it was terrible, .. very hard and not fresh at all, and had less the present taste ?? very disappointing.

It was overpriced but we accepted that going in, around $10 an item for anything whice we purchased 3 items, unfortunately the taste was no where near the price. Only 2 of the 3 items were even eat able and they were only eaten because of the price that was paid for them really. Scone tasted like dry bisquick ....... I will say we purchased these items in the afternoon for some level of defense but I doubt they tasted much better earlier in the day.

Got the custard filled 3 different times and wasn't disappointed once was even from the day old shelf.. they were soft and delicious

Great coffee shop featuring a wide assortment of beverages and pastries.

They have a sign stating that they will start implementing $10 minimum for credit cards in mid May. This would be fine if they served a quality product. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who has been to a real bakery. Their recipe for scones is really a muffin recipe, albeit not a good one. Their canned filling for their apple turnovers is sickeningly sweet and unpleasant. $9 for a scone and turnover that I couldn't eat and I have never turned down a baked good. I don't like giving one star to small

Nice place, coffee was good and I also got a coconut pecan pie which was delicious. Berry scone was dry, wouldn?t recommend getting it. But overall good place for quick pit stop

My family went on a cruise summer 2016, and we had to take a taxi cab to the airport one morning. Our taxi driver made a pit stop at the gas station around the corner from this place, and told us that we had to try the stuff from the bakery. Needless to say, everything there that I got was amazing! I cannot remember exactly what I got, but I know that I got some fritters. They were so good! They were the best fritters that I have had in my life! They were crunchy and not soggy at all! They were also

They have a great selection of pastries and desserts. It can get a bit crowded pretty fast, but the line moves quickly. Oh and 1 other thing...try the cheese Danish. You're welcome in advance for that one

I would rather make my own peanut butter sandwich than pay money to eat these baked goods again. The blueberry fritter was saddening and tasted like old oil. The 3 berry scone was effectively a flour muffin and lifeless.

Get more staff. With a line out the door, it doesn?t matter how good the food is if it takes weeks to get a donut.

Calling on all coffee and pastry lovers! This shop has it all. Wide variety of pastries, donuts, and everything in between! Grab a quick coffee, cappuccino, espresso, latte, anything you can imagine. Check this place out for all your morning needs!

Based on my first visit to this shop (and state, for that matter), I was impressed with the large number of doughnuts and cookies still available late in the day. I was just making a quick stop to grab some sweets and I was not disappointed. Thank you, Alpine Cafe!

The scone fantastic and very large.

Excellent service! The owner is an outstanding man and his employees were terrific! I couldn't ask for a better experience!
