The donut gave extra star to this review - Oreo donut is absolute ?? and must try! Lemonades are very picturesque but quite sweet. We had to wait for our drinks over 25 min as we ordered a la carte while everyone was doing tasting menu, when sandwiches arrived they were cold although the flavors were good and interesting toping with good level of heat, it was disappointing that it was cold. After some time my eyes got tired of all white and black ambience and bright light.

The food was really good. The art and atmosphere of the restaurant will make you feel like you are in 2D world. This is a very instagram/social media photo spot. I would definitely come back here for a date

Man, it really pains me to leave a not-great review for this place. We stumbled across it while looking for a unique place to take the teen for a birthday lunch. It was.....okayish? Well I finally was able to try this place out. I had been wanting to go there for months, but every time I wanted to go it was one of the days that they are closed. - we finally went on Thursday as they opened. -there was only one other larger group, but we both got seated right away. I am glad it was not a day I needed a reservation otherways we would not have gotten in. - service by Alexander was great. - he kept checking in us often. My friend and I came on a lovely rainy afternoon to grab some treats. The mochi donuts were delicious, specially the strawberry sprinkle and Oreo! This is a do-it-once in your lifetime kind of thing. I recommend that you make your reservations in advance as the wait times are long and there is limited seating. We had to wait a little even with a reservation. The menu is limited but I would also say that their deals are good, a full course is an entree and side and you can also choose one of their famous mochi donuts (which is extremely delightful and chewy). Of course you come here primarily for the fun atmosphere. However, it is a very small space and crowded so it is hard to really enjoy it unless it was less busy. We tried two of their drinks, one was absolutely amazing but one we ended up not drinking at all (just super sour and seltzer with no other flavor). The mochi donuts were fun to try at least once. Year of the Rabbit- Lunar New Year 2023 is kicked off with a great success thanks to 2D Restaurant! My friends and I made the 2D Dining Meal Experience reservations and even pre-ordered the Limited Edition Lunar New Year Mochi Donuts about a week ahead of the new year! This place is AMAZING. The staff was so incredibly helpful and somehow managed to be so on top of everything despite all the crazy demands with what seemed to be a short staff. I am so impressed. Definitely an interesting place to pop in and grab a donut and drink to-go. The texture and sweetness of the donut were great, but I could not taste the flavor (Ube). The ginger chai was flavorful and sweet, but the pepper chai was bland and unsweetened. The chicken and fries were crispy and delicious, not a crumb left. The only downside was we were served our food without cutlery and napkins so we had to wait a bit before we could eat. Definitely come try for yourself and check out the artwork.

Went to go try our their chicken sandwich offerings as well as the mochi donuts. The obvious draw are the hand painted walls. They are pretty cool and do look great in person. Ended up tasting 2 of the sandwiches the Seoul as well as the Japanese BBQ. Of the 2 the Japanese was my favorite. The Seoul has gochujang and serranos so one would expect heat but I didnt get any. It was also very messy to eat. The mochi donuts are quite an interesting texture and good.

The food is excellent! The selection isn't the most extensive, but quite tasty. I don't like that there is an upcharge for a plant based option. The french fries are crispy and nicely seasoned. This place has a cool unique interior design. Food quality here is average, I think most people who come here are more interested in the building and take pictures than foods. Donuts are also average. Worth to see it once, but I won?t go back again, because it is also too expensive. What an awesome experience! Food was great, customer service was very welcoming and the art design with the story behind how it all came to be is superb. The owners took awesome pictures of me and my beautiful girlfriend, and made the whole experience one to remember! Definitely recommend.

Delicious food, fun setup! We took our 7-year-old for the experience and walked right in to be seated. Thankfully, we arrived before the rush, so I would recommend reservations. I love that you can sub a mochi donut as a side! I had the pineapple sweet chili fried chicken, and it was delicious! One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever tried. What a fun place! So cute and our waiter was so helpful in recommending/explaining the menu as well as other places we could visit in the surrounding area while we were in Chicago. I'm not even a huge chicken sandwich fan but this was amazing! The mochi donuts were fun and delicious and we enjoying taking pictures in the photo booth with our group. Would definitely go back!!

Fun 2D experience! Great staff, food, donuts, Boba tea, photo ops, and the cat pudding ohhhh! Fun for adults and kids! Parking is easy to find on the street.

A visually stimulating eatery. Order at the counter and food is delivered. Fantastic mochi donuts. Too much spice for my taste on the spicy chicken sandwich (not the heat but the chili flavor), but otherwise a great time. Nice servers.

When i arrived to this place, my mind tripped for a second LOL. Everything looks sooo dope ! Perfect for pictures or bringing friends in the area. Saw one of my old high school teachers here it was such a coincidence. I feel like the menu could have more options and the service could be faster. Overall cool place ??

The food was fantastic, and I highly recommend their Hot Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The service was also good. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant was disappointing. The floors and benches appeared grimy, giving the entire space a dingy feel. It?s a shame because the restaurant?s design is well thought out, but the lack of upkeep takes away from the overall experience.

I had high expectations of this place based on reviews but left disappointed. The customer service was not even close to good. They had so many spare tables but said they couldn't allow me to sit inside due to reservations. The server Fernanda said I could sit outside or take away. If this is the treatment for one person, I can only imagine their conduct towards a family.
