2d restaurant - Mochi Donuts and Fried Chicken

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the unique 2D atmosphere, vibrant decor, and fun photo opportunities. The fried chicken sandwiches and mochi donuts receive frequent compliments for flavor and texture, though some find the food mediocre or overpriced. Service is generally described as friendly and attentive, with a few exceptions of poor experiences. Reservations are recommended due to long wait times. The donut gave extra star to this review - Oreo donut is absolute ?? and must try! Lemonades are very picturesque but quite sweet. We had to wait for our drinks over 25 min as we ordered a la carte while everyone was doing tasting menu, when sandwiches arrived they were cold although the flavors were good and interesting toping with good level of heat, it was disappointing that it was cold. After some time my eyes got tired of all white and black ambience and bright light.

The food was really good. The art and atmosphere of the restaurant will make you feel like you are in 2D world. This is a very instagram/social media photo spot. I would definitely come back here for a date

Reservation recommended on weekends. I ordered lavender hot chocolate with a fried chicken sandwich with the highest spice level. It wasn't spicy or hot. The sandwich was okay. The hot chocolate was exceptionally good. The space is small and they are short of staff. Worth a visit for the 2D interior feels. Adding photos and videos from the trip

Man, it really pains me to leave a not-great review for this place. We stumbled across it while looking for a unique place to take the teen for a birthday lunch. It was.....okayish? Even though there were only two tables occupied, it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. The food didn't take too long. Speaking of the food, we liked it but we weren't hugely in love with anything. I had the teriyaki chicken salad and my guy had the rooster - we loved our choices! The teen had the garden chicken sandwich and did

Taiwanese food, limited menu. Found on tiktok. This place is so neat! It looks like it is a comic book! The furniture, memories, clothes, walls, everything! There are so many photo opportunities. Food was tasty and the dessert was so cute! It was a pudding cat on a mochi donut but they give you black icing and a stick to put the face on the cat!

Faith was our server! Now she?s my friend! She?s so amazing! We came in the door and when she saw I was a fan of stray kids she offered me stickers, made the whole experience amazing. Definitely coming back!!

Lovely 2d Restaurant. Got the Ube and Vietnamese caphe which was soooo good! Recommend those two for beverages. Had the fried chicken, they have a plant based alternative as well so vegans don?t worry ??. They have couple options in Mochi. And at the end, they have a photo op too!! They have a couple of prop u can use to click pics and have a collage printed out as well. Good spot to hangout with friends and I highly recommend reservations!! More on @thefoodblogie on insta

Well I finally was able to try this place out. I had been wanting to go there for months, but every time I wanted to go it was one of the days that they are closed. - we finally went on Thursday as they opened. -there was only one other larger group, but we both got seated right away. I am glad it was not a day I needed a reservation otherways we would not have gotten in. - service by Alexander was great. - he kept checking in us often. He does mot seen like very talkative but his service was still good.

My friend and I came on a lovely rainy afternoon to grab some treats. The mochi donuts were delicious, specially the strawberry sprinkle and Oreo! I had the mango jasmine tea with mango jelly and it was super good. Service was quick, Alexander and rest of staff were so kind and generous. Would recommend coming for the experience since it?s cute and fun!

I?ve always seen this place on facebook reels and literally thought this concept was so unique and so cool. I?m so glad i got to experience the 2D restaurant and don?t get me wrong I love the vibes of this place but overall the food was very bland for me - i mean it?s not bad just not that good. One thing i do recommend is that cr?me br?l?e coffee that was just everything and so refreshing! The experience is definitely worth it bc they take a polaroid photo of you in a van they have up front and it?s so chi

I LOVED IT! The staff was kind, welcoming, patient, and went the EXTRA mile to make sure we enjoyed our time out. I am 1000% going back again. They also aren?t limited to just food and an insta worthy spot- they have a buy you can buy and decorate in store! A really fun experience if you wanna chill or get kids involved. ??

It?s such a cute spot to stop, grab a drink (boba), and take pictures! The menu is expansive and the prices are pretty fair. There is a little corner near the restroom where you can pose and take pictures. It?s a small area for seating and you have to be sure to get a reservation! Our server was so sweet and helpful in deciding what drink to get!

A very unique space with 2D wall prints and a setting that feels like you?re stepping into an animation. The service was very warm and friendly when we picked up our order. However, the food didn?t quite impress - the Ube milk latte had only a faint Ube flavor, and the mochi donut did not blow us away. Overall, this spot is perfect for its fun visual experience, while the food was a bit underwhelming.

The food was so yummy! I really enjoyed the Pineapple Chicken Teppanyaki. Perfect blend of crunch, sweet and savory! My oreo iced mocha was also amazing!

Beautiful waiter, very kind but this place have THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER TRIED. The only good thing there was the fries and mochi donuts. The chicken tasted old. I ordered a peach lemonade and the lemons inside were old and they not even washed because have even black things in the lemon skin. In my boyfriend's drink there was something disgusting, like pieces of white things like butter or something gross like that. The cabbage was slimy and the cat pudding was the prettiest thing I have ever seen, but

As a busy realtor, a tattoo shop owner husband, and parents to a son on Thanksgiving break, finding a spot that combines good food with an unforgettable atmosphere is a win?and 2D Restaurant in Chicago?s Lakeview neighborhood delivered! From the moment we stepped in, we were wowed by the entirely hand-drawn, black-and-white 2D aesthetic. It?s like walking into a living cartoon! Our son was amazed and kept pointing out all the intricate designs, making it a fun experience before we even sat down. The menu

Very chill restaurant! They are really friendly, the donuts are delicious, especially the strawberry sprinkle mochi donut! Not too sugary, not too plain, just right! The must try drinks, I had the flamingo peach lemonade, was really good!! Love the 2D vibe of it all, would definitely come again!

My friend and I had been dying to go to a 2d Cafe. So upon finding out there was now one in Chicago, we made the trek here to check it out. Yes, it is kitschy and you'll spend more here than you would at a non-themed restaurant because you're also paying for the experience. But with that being said, the prices were reasonable for how much food you do get. And the food was great! Vegetarian options, which isn't always the easiest to find with Asian food. The croquettes were amazing and definitely the best t

I visited 2D Restaurant after reading mixed reviews and went in with no expectations, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly, and the chicken was delicious with generous portions. The mochi donuts stood out for their soft texture and light sweetness, which I appreciated as someone who isn?t a fan of overly sugary treats. They also offer a great variety of drinks, all with balanced sugar content. The "wiggle cat" dessert was a must-try?unique and fun, though it might not app

One word: WOW!!! The cafe is very beautiful and all of the art work is incredibly detailed! We booked the full experience (for a wonderful price might I add) for my sisters birthday and had a blast! After we ate- i highly recommend their new pineapple chili hot plate- our server took us around the cafe and took the cutest photos of us! Afterwards he returned with 2 mini prints and a full sized, framed print of a comic strip using our photos! I highly recommend the 2-D cafe to anyone and will absolutely retu

Unique and fun experience! The 2D environment makes for great photos, and the food is surprisingly delicious. Reservations are a must?it?s a popular spot!

Food was delicious. I had the Teppanyaki chicken and it came out hot and fresh. The service was amazing. There are many photo ops available. As well as a Photo Booth you can can pay $8 for. The donuts were fresh as well. They are cashless so make sure you are prepared with card or tap. I will definitely be returning.

As a small business owner myself, I truly understand how important it is to treat every customer with kindness and respect ? unfortunately, that was not my experience here. My husband and I visited this place on Memorial Day, traveling all the way from Iowa with high hopes. We ordered drinks and donuts, but there was no available seating inside. I politely asked to take a quick picture at one of the reserved tables, just for a moment ? not to sit or dine, just to capture a memory. The waitress had earlier

This was a really cute date spot! Little pricey I will admit, but it evens out with the really cute atmosphere. Definitely a place to go to with others and I really recommend the Pudding Cat! Overall we got a Taiwanese Chicken Meal, Pudding Cats, Donuts and the Fried Potato appetizer. It was really delicious! The only thing I would change and or suggest is to have more vegetarian / tofu options. Would love if the Fried Rice bowl came with tofu, or fried veggies. "Impossible Meat" isn't my thing, but that's

Wow ! I did not expect the food to be as good as it was. The only reason why I went was because of the 2d art, of course. I tried the teriyaki grilled chicken bowl, and it was beyond my expectations! I also tried the Mango Jasmine Boba, and it was delicious! I will be returning !!! 10/10 definitely recommend!

We went there for a friend?s birthday and the staff was sooooo kind! They took pictures for us and even brought out a mochinut and sang happy birthday along with us?? Sweetest service in the world! SO happy!

This place looks super cool, kids love it and staff are really nice and helpful. It's a must see and eat, the donuts are so soft yet flavorful and not super sweet at the same time. Foods incredible, this is definitely a must try. We'll have to make another trip. 10/10

This is a do-it-once in your lifetime kind of thing. I recommend that you make your reservations in advance as the wait times are long and there is limited seating. We had to wait a little even with a reservation. The menu is limited but I would also say that their deals are good, a full course is an entree and side and you can also choose one of their famous mochi donuts (which is extremely delightful and chewy). This is an Asian inspired restaurant so as an FYI, their food does come with quite the kick.

My daughter found this spot so for mommy and daughter hang out day we came here. The reviews were mixed so I parked my expectations. I had the summer special mango & coconut creme donut and a chicken sandwhich. Both were really good. I did reserve our table ahead of time so there was no wait. I like how you order at the table with your phone. You can also order at the counter. But they still bring the food to your table. The portions are good for the price you pay. We would come again. We are always on the

Such a cute and unique place to check out!! The owner and staff were extremely friendly. Kevin, the owner, took a few pictures for us and printed them out??. The food was also really delicious- loved the Taiwanese basil chicken platter and the matcha strawberry milk latte. We also got the jiggly cat - it was fun making our designs. 10/10 Would recommend if you?re visiting Chicago.

Me and my partner had a great time! The food was very delicious, I had the sweet chili fries and the 2D garden burger. They are very accommodating to taking things off of the sandwich which I loved. The butterfly lemonade was fizzy and so good. I was definitely come back this was a fun experience to have for our anniversary weekend together

I was visiting this restaurant because I saw a lot of recommendations on TikTok and instagram? but I swear never I felt sooo disappointed until I arrived at this pleace ! Some of the tables were o cupped by some customers, but all the tables that it wasn?t were so dirty with glasses , napkins and dishes , I ordered a coffe to go and the server gives me a dirty cup ? the concept is amazing but I really don?t believe in the cleanliness in the kitchen and out of the kitchen , if you?re a wannabe and be coolest

Took my 8 year old daughter for her birthday. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious as well. I really like the photo shoot we were able to do during our visit. Food was nice and hot when it came out and the drinks were very colorful.

Added tip without my knowledge! I was seated quickly. The server took my order on a handheld. Had me pay immediately, which is a bad practice because it asks for a tip before service is rendered. I noticed it included a tip ~~before~~ I even was prompted for a tip. I asked for a paper receipt. Sure enough, there was a 15% tip added automatically. The food came out promptly and I asked to have the tip portion refunded since it's unethical to add a tip without asking and before service and no warning on th

This place blew up due to TikTok and Instagram, as the aesthetics of this place are amazing! Everything is hand drawn and original and so well made! Unfortunately, the food doesn't hold up. While the wiggle wiggle cats are fun and one can draw on them, they aren't the most flavorful and the "ink" provided is more runny. The mochi donuts were on the dry side and could use more flavor. The staff are incredibly friendly and fun, making the whole experience a good time, but not worth the food.

Very cute place. The chicken and original mochi donut wear so good. My friend and I got the spicy chicken sandwich, my wife got the regular chicken sandwich, my friend's wife got the chicken tenders and we ordered the onion rings and potatoes as appetizers. It was all great. The onion rings wear pretty average but the potatoes are like a mix of hash browns and mashed potatoes. The sandwiches were all fantastic and used dark and white meat. Juicy, and covered in some delicious sauces. Those tenders though st

Of course you come here primarily for the fun atmosphere. However, it is a very small space and crowded so it is hard to really enjoy it unless it was less busy. We tried two of their drinks, one was absolutely amazing but one we ended up not drinking at all (just super sour and seltzer with no other flavor). The mochi donuts were fun to try at least once. Their chicken sandwich was pretty great, using chicken thigh pieces which made it nice and juicy and fatty in all the good ways.

The food definitely surprised us! Went there thinking it would just be an overpriced touristy location, but it turned out to be one of my favorite Asian fried chicken places in Chicago! The lunch experience gives you A TON of options to choose from and you get to try a little bit of everything from the menu + drinks + dessert + the fun photos. I had the friend chicken with rice and cabbage salad (can?t recall exactly) and the Vietnamese coffee, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Had a great time, surprisingly good f

I was really looking forward to visiting 2D Restaurant. I really liked the Lychee mochi donut. I've never had any quite like it - and I loved it! I also ordered the Katsu chicken tenders and the Creme Brulee pudding C? Ph?. The Katsu chicken tenders were good but it wasn't exactly Katsu. The fries were solid. The Creme Brulee pudding C? Ph? was like a liquid dessert. I loved it! I was so excited to see the interior of the restaurant. It photographs well but I didn't feel like it translated well into real li

Not worth the hype. The fried chicken wasn't great, the oil used was probably stale. I didn't like the food, overpriced. The interior wasn't as fun as anticipated either. The staff was friendly though.

Avoid the lady with the black straight hair and dark lipstick!! Or just save yourself some time & money and skip this place altogether. We were treated so horribly. The tour was not a tour! Not worth it $16 per person! Not sure why they call it a tour! All you do is pick two walls within the tiny restaurant as you get your picture taken by the most rudest person ever. The lady was so mean, condescending, impatient, impolite, and at one point when I was trying to ask what her issue was she clenched her head

As a neat one of a kind thing to do, it fits that, although I have been to other similar types of places. They do have a unique picture taking ?tour? that you can pay for that has staff take you around and get your picture in some of their special 2D items. Staff are friendly when they are with you. The place is small inside, if you make a reservation they will serve you, if you walk in they may not have time or space for you and you will need to wait or make an on the spot reservation. Limited on street pa

Fun gimmick, but not much else. Went in on a Thursday at about 6pm and they were out of almost everything? lettuce/vegetables, fries, certain kinds of donuts, soymilk for our drinks? and the waiter came back multiple times to inform us of these things to the point where I assumed if he came to our table they were out of yet another item. When we finally got our food (chicken sandwiches, mochi donuts, and hot chocolates) I was underwhelmed. The chicken was good but the donuts were too sweet and the ?hot? c

Absolutely loved this experience and the restaurant. Make sure you make reservations and after that, come on in. The place is adorable and a lot of fun, the staff is amazing and so helpful 2orb recommendations. The food was amazing, get the fries with chili sauce and the rooster fried. Definitely check it out, come for pics, stay for the food and hospitality.

Really cute restaurant. Super soft and yummy donuts. Drinks were so good. Love all the art work. Would definitely come again for drinks and donuts again. I got lucky by finding parking directly across the street. Not sure how easy that is normally. But it's Chicago. Parking is a hassle most of the time.

Im glad we got a chance to experience this restaurant but there?s no need to return lol. I would recommend going just for the experience! It?s pretty cool! Nice for pictures but it is a very small restaurant, the food is mediocre AND although it says walk in I would recommend making a reservation! Over all pretty cool experience with my daughter.

This place was amazing! I went for lunch on a weekday but the restaurant was not busy at all so there were plenty of opportunities to take pictures. Overall the atmosphere of the restaurant is great? as soon as you walk in you feel like you're in a comic book. The wait staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was a bit pricey but worth it. The place is smaller than I expected but still many places for pictures. There are two large mirrors as well as cute couches inside and a few props in the outsid

The aesthetic of this place is amazing. The food (sandwiches) however wasn't freshly served when we visited- they were cold. The service is quick. However, their donuts and coffee were good. I personally liked the churro mochi donuts and pineapple cake donuts. The place may be packed during the weekend so visiting during the weekdays will give better chances of taking solo pictures To sum up: go for the place not the food!

Super cute place & super yummy food! Very cute place for pictures since its so unique. Yummy asian fusion flavors & twists on their drink selections! My entire group loved everything that we got & would definitely visit again when we go back to Chicago!

Such a unique restaurant/atmosphere. Very interesting design. Their fried chicken was super delicious. Super crispy and still very moist and tender. I wasnt a huge fan of the seasoned fries but my wife loved them. BUT MAKE A RESERVATION. Dont make the same mistake we did or you'll be waiting for over 30min.

The reason for my 3 stars is due to service. I would give a 5 star for menu, pricing and theme of the restaurant but a 1 star for service. The day I went with my daughter we stopped and ordered two of their Halloween donuts. The wait in line was extremely long and there was only one person in front of us. Instead of having one person take orders and one person preparing the food, they had people taking orders and both people were preparing the food. Therefore, nobody else was taking orders. The lady in fron

The food is mediocre, this place is only good for pictures and interior art. Overall experience was a bit disappointing and lack luster, so I personally would not recommend this place to my friends or come back. I came around 4:20pm to try the viral cat jelly but unfortunately they ran out within the first hour of opening. All the special flavored donuts were sold out too, so I had to order strawberry and Oreo mochi donut, which were decent actually. I ordered strawberry milk and it was heavily artificial

This place was sooo cute! The service was amazing. The owner even came out and took our photos and gave us a printed copy of it! It was so nice and made the experience so good! I 100% recommend this place! The donuts were amazing, the chicken was so good and so juice and crispy, and the drinks were 11/10. I got the lemonade and it was one of the best i?ve had.

I think that the dine-in reservation makes sense since the cafe space is so tiny. It's just that they don't advertise that. You need to enter your credit card information for a reservation -- or being unable to have the cat pudding as a pick-up order (only reservation as well). It's cute but you could always make it yourself I do think they should utilize the merchandise space as extra seats. Not to sell 2D style clothing, that no one buys. I appreciate the art though. I also did a take-out order, which is

The aesthetic was cute. Service was absolutely terrible. We waited about 15 minutes for our waiter when the establishment was empty. The donuts were super chewy & disgusting. Cute 2D atmosphere but could be cleaned.

Year of the Rabbit- Lunar New Year 2023 is kicked off with a great success thanks to 2D Restaurant! My friends and I made the 2D Dining Meal Experience reservations and even pre-ordered the Limited Edition Lunar New Year Mochi Donuts about a week ahead of the new year! On the day of our reservation and pre-order, we all decided to get dressed in red (for prosperity) and went to go celebrate the Lunar New Year Eve at 2D! As you can see in the photos, the 2D black and white comic book/graphic novel style

This place is AMAZING. The staff was so incredibly helpful and somehow managed to be so on top of everything despite all the crazy demands with what seemed to be a short staff. I am so impressed. The food was insane in the best way possible and everything looks so cool in here. I'm seriously so glad we did this. Get yourself a reservation!

Amazing amazing, I love that everything is 2D and it feels like your in a little animated world, congrats to the owners for bringing this little world to life, and may they live long and prosper!

The atmosphere is great, the theme was so cool, and the food was amazing! The staff were the BEST. They went above and beyond with everything. I would definitely recommend this very cool find.

I avoided this place for a long time thinking it's sort of an Instagram trap, but decided to give it a try due to the positive reviews on the chicken sandwich and donuts. Unfortunately I can sum it up by saying my intuition was right. While the decor is unique and I'm sure does intensify the vibrant colors of the food, I wouldn't call the atmosphere a positive one (the restaurant is small and narrow with employees going back and forth all the time). Service and food both can improve. I ordered carry out

Loved our experience there the burgers were amazing and the owner was super nice!

Definitely an interesting place to pop in and grab a donut and drink to-go. The texture and sweetness of the donut were great, but I could not taste the flavor (Ube). The ginger chai was flavorful and sweet, but the pepper chai was bland and unsweetened. The chicken and fries were crispy and delicious, not a crumb left. The only downside was we were served our food without cutlery and napkins so we had to wait a bit before we could eat. Definitely come try for yourself and check out the artwork.

Went to go try our their chicken sandwich offerings as well as the mochi donuts. The obvious draw are the hand painted walls. They are pretty cool and do look great in person. Ended up tasting 2 of the sandwiches the Seoul as well as the Japanese BBQ. Of the 2 the Japanese was my favorite. The Seoul has gochujang and serranos so one would expect heat but I didnt get any. It was also very messy to eat. The mochi donuts are quite an interesting texture and good.

This is one of the coolest places I?ve dined. The owners have an incredible story behind the restaurant and the art is amazing. My daughter took a cooking class with one of the owners and it was fun. Oh my, were the mochi donuts delicious.

We had such an Amazing Experience!!! A Chicago pit stop for sure! Delicious coffee and Fun photo shoot. Very cute restaurant! Will be stopping again in July.

The food is excellent! The selection isn't the most extensive, but quite tasty. I don't like that there is an upcharge for a plant based option. The french fries are crispy and nicely seasoned. My reservation was for 7 and I had to put my order in right away because the kitchen was closing despite the restaurant closing at 8. Dress warm because they tend to keep the temperature on the cooler side. The decor is absolutely stunning! All hand drawn with sharpies.

The food was/is amazing. The staff was/is amazing. It was everything I expected it to be. I've been following them on Instagram and it was the main reason for my visit to Chicago. It was a birthday trip and the staff (and owner). I'm so in love with the city; can't wait to revisit

This place has a cool unique interior design. Food quality here is average, I think most people who come here are more interested in the building and take pictures than foods. Donuts are also average. Worth to see it once, but I won?t go back again, because it is also too expensive. Employees were very nice, they took picture of us with their own camera for free, which was so sweet.

Went in for a quick coffee and donut, ended up having to stay 45 minutes. In a completely empty restaurant. Barista was apparently getting something done, so we had to wait exactly 30 minutes for them to make the 2 coffees. Then 15 more minutes for them to finish another person's order so that I can pay and leave. Coffees were way too sweet, didn't even finish them. The donuts were out of this world though, 10/10.

MASSIVE waste of money, McDonald's has better chicken sandwiches than this place, the drinks are mid(but do look nice), the Mochi donuts are pretty good I guess. When they have them that is, they claimed they didn't have many items on the menu because they ran out. And there was no service, they told us to order our food ourselves at the counter, even getting our order wrong. The sandwiches were too spicy to even eat it ruined my appetite, the wasabi fries were admittedly good. This place is just a tourist

This place is a gem! We had no idea what to expect when we walked in, but it?s an experience! The mochi donuts were delicious (and festive!), the service was excellent (they all went above and beyond), and the new photo experience is a ton of fun! We didn?t bring kids, but the kids here were having lots of fun. Highly recommend!!

2d Restaurant is an extremely cool place with an amazing atmosphere, delicious food and the most incredibly nice staff. Alex at the door welcomed my family and me with the warmth of an old friend; Dajsha was a wonderfully attentive server even with the restaurant at full capacity. First, the decor is unlike anything you have probably seen - the walls, tables, chairs invite you to explore. It's an eye-popping, sensory trip. Second, the food and drinks will please anyone's palette - so yummy. My group all had

The chicken sandwiches blew me out of the water! Seasoned to perfection! The mochi donuts were amazing as well. Service was quick and attentive. Definitely will be coming back!

Fun place with friends and families. -The waitress was so nice and attentive to us. -The waitress played the character that aligned with the place. So creative with the makeup. -The food was good. -We would visit and come again. ??

I mostly really enjoyed coming here! Half of our party was vegetarian and they ran out of plant based options the day before so that was a bummer. However, the chicken sandwiches are AMAZING. Incredible savory flavor and tenderness. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

This was such an amazing experience! we recommend anyone looking for a memorable experience from food, atmosphere, and comic experience! Definitely recommend doing the 2d dining meal experience with your family and friends! Worth every penny! Amazingly friendly staff with perfect customer service! So kind and welcoming!

My pyrenees puppy and me had so much fun here! There is fortunately an outside patio with a cute mini van by the side and plenty of seating areas both inside and outside this playful restaurant. I chose their traditional chicken ?? sandwich ?? with a side of Wasabi sauce french fries ?? and a decadent and sweet Vietnamese iced coffee. There are so many wonderful photo ?? opportunities here too so while you are here primarily for the tasty drinks and mochi doughnuts ?? you can also wander around and take s

The entire place was very cute and interesting! A must visit for those in the area, it's covered with monochromatic art that is ready for photos to be taken The chicken sandwiches weren't bad, but nothing extraordinary about them as well. Personally, I felt like the spicy chicken sandwich was trying to do too much with its flavors, which I didn't particularly enjoy. Still, a 10/10 experience that I would recommend to anyone

I thought the whole experience, atmosphere, and food was awesome! Hear me out, order the chicken tenders and the strawberry cheesecake donuts and take a bite of both at the same time. Fire. I was in taste bud heaven. It is pricey to go but sometimes you gotta splurge and enjoy things. Do it! Go and enjoy!

What an awesome experience! Food was great, customer service was very welcoming and the art design with the story behind how it all came to be is superb. The owners took awesome pictures of me and my beautiful girlfriend, and made the whole experience one to remember! Definitely recommend.

Delicious food, fun setup! We took our 7-year-old for the experience and walked right in to be seated. Thankfully, we arrived before the rush, so I would recommend reservations. I love that you can sub a mochi donut as a side! I had the pineapple sweet chili fried chicken, and it was delicious! One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever tried. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory with a bit of kick. My son loved his kids teriyaki meal. Shoutout to our server, Alexander; he was so kind and patien

What a fun place! So cute and our waiter was so helpful in recommending/explaining the menu as well as other places we could visit in the surrounding area while we were in Chicago. I'm not even a huge chicken sandwich fan but this was amazing! The mochi donuts were fun and delicious and we enjoying taking pictures in the photo booth with our group. Would definitely go back!!

Fun 2D experience! Great staff, food, donuts, Boba tea, photo ops, and the cat pudding ohhhh! Fun for adults and kids! Parking is easy to find on the street.

A visually stimulating eatery. Order at the counter and food is delivered. Fantastic mochi donuts. Too much spice for my taste on the spicy chicken sandwich (not the heat but the chili flavor), but otherwise a great time. Nice servers.

When i arrived to this place, my mind tripped for a second LOL. Everything looks sooo dope ! Perfect for pictures or bringing friends in the area. Saw one of my old high school teachers here it was such a coincidence. I feel like the menu could have more options and the service could be faster. Overall cool place ??

The food was fantastic, and I highly recommend their Hot Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The service was also good. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant was disappointing. The floors and benches appeared grimy, giving the entire space a dingy feel. It?s a shame because the restaurant?s design is well thought out, but the lack of upkeep takes away from the overall experience.

I had high expectations of this place based on reviews but left disappointed. The customer service was not even close to good. They had so many spare tables but said they couldn't allow me to sit inside due to reservations. The server Fernanda said I could sit outside or take away. If this is the treatment for one person, I can only imagine their conduct towards a family. The spicy rooster sandwich was good but I should have done some research on wasabi sauce before ordering the fries because that just did

I recently dined at 2D, and it was an absolute delight! The quirky atmosphere, featuring vibrant artwork and playful designs, instantly transported me into a whimsical world. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, each beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. If you?re looking for a unique culinary adventure, 2D is a must-visit!
