29 Yum - Bagel - Pho - Poke - Sushi

A hidden gem!! If you are in Joshua Tree or Yucca valley and need a great place to eat, look no more!! 29 Yum was just what we were looking for! We had the Brisket pho which was served with a tray of fresh cilantro, basil, bean sprouts and jalape?os. It was flavorful with generous portions of tender brisket. We also ordered the poke bowl with spicy tuna and salmon over rice and greens. They had great toppings like picked daikon, fresh avocado and spicy mayo and it looked beautiful. Then to top it all

Don't miss it!! It's BEHIND the Rite Aid!!! Location leaves a bit to be desired but once you're inside, it's a lovely place. Bagel sandwiches are super legit, BIG, and tasty. You can tell they make everything from scratch! The missing star is due to the regular "cold brew" coffee. I say "cold brew" because I am a picky cold brew person and it tasted (1) burnt and (2) like iced coffee, not cold brew. I need my rocket fuel!! Smallest pho bowls in socal. Price is very high. Good is pretty good. Their ribs are very good. Nice place to relax as well. They have couches. Not sure why there is a nail place in the restaurant. That's kind of weird. Service is a bit and miss. Place is always empty. I have been there many times and barely see more than 2 other guests there. Must be the shall peons and high prices.

The poke bowl is incredible! and they offer what I believe tastes like real crab, which most places don't really, The meats taste great and more importantly has no trace of 'fishiness' for poke to be available in the hi desert is amazing, and for it to be this delicious is just criminal ????

The atmosphere is great! Went with my girlfriend right before closing. The cashier was very patient while we ordered. I got the taro frozen and it was yummy! My friend got the strawberry smoothie and we both ordered the shrimp Pho! Sooooo good! Can?t wait to return ????????

Seems like this place is run as a hobby. I was the only person in the place when I ordered my food (the morning). When it came in, I grabbed it and left. Once i got home, I realized that the bagels only had cream cheese spread on them. So I drove back to have them fixed. Delicious food and very friendly staff! 29 Yum is such a great spot?everything we ordered was full of flavor and made fresh. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, which made it a perfect place to bring my toddler. It?s not easy finding a place that feels good for both adults and little ones, but this one nailed it. Came here for breakfast, specifically to try their bagels and Vietnamese coffee. Coffee was great, and bagels filling was good (chive cream cheese, avo, etc) but the bagel itself was stale.. actually inedible. But I wanted to give them another chance so I asked if they could remake it with a fresh bagel and the manager told me ?that?s how they?re supposed to be? We ordered two Yucca Bagels for breakfast to try and they were amazing! The eggs were fresh and fluffy, the avocados were ripe and delicious, the bacon tasted good, the cream cheese was delightful, and the bagels were phenomenal! I will definitely be coming back again to try other items on the menu! My wife liked the blended Spiced Chai and I liked the Milk Tea as well!

Wonderful! Ordered the beef pho and shrimp spring rolls. Pho was of similar quality to any pho you could get in OC, with a very flavorful broth. I also appreciate the fact that they have basil! Spring rolls were bright and very fresh as any good spring roll should be. Service was friendly and helpful even after i admittedly got a tad bit snarky with the cashier (sorry!) she found a way to make my experience a pleasent one. Absolutely love having good pho in yucca valley!

The chicken pho was delicious! It had a rich warm flavor and tender flavorful shredded chicken. And everyone was so nice. If I lived here I would absolutely be a regular. Will come back when I'm in town :)

This place?kinda weird. Asked for donuts two separate days. Was told only on Saturday and Sundays. Cool! On Sunday, came in, only bagels were on display, same as the first time we came in. Had to ask AGAIN if they had donuts. ?Chocolate twists and old fashioned? were the only two options made available, but again why were they not on display, like the bagels? Quite off putting. As a local, I?m so happy I found a new go to spot! Today we had The Yucca Bagel ?? x2 an apple pastry, mango smoothie and caramel frap. Inside is super cute. They have two areas one with couches and one with little tables so you can choose where to sit. Plenty of space in here. Bathrooms are clean too! My new favorite place in the Morongo Basin. I have been wishing we had a Vietnamese place for a long time and my wish has finally come true. The pho here is excellent with very flavorful broth and all the appropriate toppings. Its some of the best pho I've ever had. The food was very good. I had a Yucca Bagel and a caramel frappe and they were delicious. Also the service and atmosphere were on point.

Coming from the OC & SD areas, the prices for a bowl of beef pho were the same here but the quality was very different. The beef pho broth was plain, meat was dry, the quantity for everything was very little compared to other pho places. Even with condiments & added sauces, the broth was still plain. We only ordered a beef pho, a passion fruit w/ dragonfruit drink, and a veggie roll. Half of their menus are pho & bagels. IMO, it?s too overpriced for the quality & quantity of food. i really enjoyed the veg pho! had a flavorful veg broth and I enjoyed the shitake and bok choy. it's not on the menu currently, but they said they would do a veg banh mi with tofu by request! delicious food, and i appreciate the inclusion of good vegetarian/vegan options! staff was super friendly! super glad to have a good pho place in yucca. i usually don?t return food nor complain about the quality of food in restaurants? but the one garlic bagel that we got here was just unacceptable. it literally was like biting into rubber. I COULDNT EVEN BITE OFF A PIECE FROM THE BAGEL. it was stale and hard. we went back and told the cashier (who was apologetic) what was wrong and told her that we couldn?t eat the bagel because it was hard to bite. then the manager or owner came out asking what was wrong and we told him the same thing. his response was

The boba milk tea was filled 75% of the way with ice and boba was put on top of the ice so the straw could not pick up any boba. The staff were rude and said they could not do anything about it. The pho is small portioned for the price and the soup tasted flat. The bahn mi sandwich was equally bad. The meat isn?t even grilled. For 15 before taxes per sandwich, that is disappointing. In Los Angeles one can get much better food and drinks at the same or cheaper price.

Went for breakfast and had a bagel sandwich, a plain bagel with cream cheese and a bahnmi. Also got a machiatto and some bottled drinks. Food was good bagels and baguette were very fresh. My kids loved it. Will definitely be back.

We tried the combination pho and the chicken Banh Mi. It was amazing this was our second time coming here. The pho is absolutely amazing. The chicken Banh Mi came with the most delicious roll, and they give you 2 rolls so it?s not just one tiny sandwich, cucumber, carrots, cilantro and mayo. It was so delicious can?t wait for the pork one next time!

I can?t believe how PERFECT this bagel latte combo was. It will now be tempting to start my day like this all the time. I am so picky about how my espresso shot tastes and this one was so balanced that I didn?t even use much sweetener. And there is no place like this around here with such cozy breakfast.

I've been here 3 times now. I get the ham bagel and haven't changed it up yet because it's just so good!! And the Vietnamese coffee tastes so authentic and delicious (I've been to Vietnam and miss the coffee). The place is so big and extremely clean, even the bathroom was spotless and I felt comfortable taking my toddler in there and not concerned for her touching stuff like other public restrooms.

RANT for 29 yum ! My first Uber eats order I asked for the avacado bagel which is on thier menu but not on Uber eats , okay whatever I built it my self and kindly asked in the notes to add avacado on it since if you go to the jalape?o bagel it?s not an add on option ? instead of avacado they put tomato on it ? Second time I ordered he said he had no staff and only had three bagels left (it was 10 am ? ) okay it happens . This time I again built the bagel myself jalape?o bagel jalape?o cream cheese toasted

Really delicious coffee, smoothies, and drinks! I love stopping here just to grab a drink. However, their food is really good too. Last time we went, my husband ordered the pastrami bagel sandwich and said it was delicious. I ordered the chicken Pho. It was good but I was missing the basil leaves most pho places include and the broth was a tad thin for my taste but overall the noodles were cooked well and it had a good flavor. I?m so grateful for a place like this in our community! Everything we?ve tried is wonderful - the bagels/bagel sandwiches and the pho. My husband is a New York/New Jersey native and even HE loves the bagels. The owners/staff are so kind and generous and all of our dining experiences have been excellent. The staff even make us feel welcome with our energetic toddler in tow! I can?t recommend this place enough.

So excited to have a bagel spot in Yucca. Great coffee! They also have Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea, and smoothies- haven?t tried any of those but so excited to next time. The bagels are great and reasonably priced. It?s a huge place, good for groups and a nice place to get some work done. The bagels are alright- the pho didnt really have much flavor and I was a bit disappointed with the bhan mi, dry and no pickled veggies.

So glad this shop is open. Really, really fresh and tasty bagels and cream cheese. I was waiting for this type of high-quality bagel in the desert, and it didn't disappoint! The service is great too. They are a new shop, but I have high hopes they'll continue establishing themselves and be a great weekly stop.

I would love to see more restaurants like this around town. The ambiance when you walk in is clean and modern for a refreshing feel. The service was superb nice small professional small business feel. I had the vegetable Pho and it was great tasting! They are new and will be expanding their menu and I am excited for that. This place has everything I was looking for and more! We ordered 2 americanos (listed as regular coffee on their menu), a sugar donut, and a pastrami bagel sandwich. Price was $20, which is very fair. Everything was delicious and came out very fast (on a Sunday morning!). Service was friendly. Americano was well made (I used to be a barista). Donut was fresh, warm, and fluffy. The bagel and all ingredients were so fresh and delicious. The breadth of their menu is extremely impressive. I am stoked this place

29 Yum is exactly what is needed in Yucca Valley. This town has reached a saturation point of overpriced and unnecessary tourist traps and chains. Good bagels. They're not New York City quality (not as chewy, not as thick), but they're comparable to what you can get in other large cities like Washington DC. They are, however, more expensive than NYC or DC, and there is no bulk discount for buying a half dozen or a dozen, unlike at every other bagel bakery I have ever been to.

I?ve been here four times since opening. They have so much variety on their menu, and somehow they do everything excellent. The Pho is S tier, the coffee is as good as most coffee shops around here (clears Starbucks right across the street), the bagels and cream cheese are phenomenal, and the sandwiches are also great. OMG! this place is amazing. The bagels were SOOOO good. Maybe one of the best I?ve had. The sandwich was excellent and packed full of good stuff. Then he gave us a free donut and it was literally a perfect donut. Bagels are overpriced eggs look and taste like a premade mix , my bagel wasn?t fully toasted and my bacon was cold, and for most of they?re bagels they just take classics like bacon eggs and cheese and slap basic cream cheese on it for 12$ you can do better elsewhere. Food was good but is too expensive for me outside a once in a while. It was over 30 dollars for 2 breakfast sandwichs I got the Yucca which had bacon and avocado and my husband got the lox bagel (which will always be more expensive I understand) The bagels were good on par with buying them from Vons or Costco (honestly I feel like they probably aren't made in house, but I could be wrong) It was hard to tell where the line started and who was waiting to order and who was waiting for food.

I was disappointed and underwhelmed- not authentic. The Pho was literally 3-4bite size pieces of meat, small amount of noodles and too much broth, nothing else. extremely salty, the side plate of beansprouts & herbs was so skimpy, I was embarrassed for them. I came to eat breakfast here with my boyfriend on monday 8/26/24 . We shared the yucca bagel. The begals are really good! Definitely have to come try for breakfast. They make their own cream cheese.
